Issue with Decimal Notation in BEX.

HI BW Experts !!
Can any one help on this please.
Thanks a million in advance.
InfoCube: Equipment Barometer InfoCube (Technical Name: ZRLC_BAR)
Key Figure: Month to Date Income (Technical Name: ZRL_MTDIN)
If I execute the query with the Month/Year = 10.2004 and I compare it with the data in the infocube in the same period I'll see the following data:
Query=   611303.49   (correct amount)
InfoCube=6113034.92  (Wrong amount, is divided by 10)
Always the amounts in the query(BEX) is divided by 10.
If someone can help me i will appreciate.

Hi Marcos,
In Query edit mode, goto properties of key figure (right-click on the ZRL_MTDIN), and select 'Nothing Defined' for the scaling factor.
This should work.

Vikrant.

  • Issue with Decimal Values in Bex Reporting

    hello gurus,
    I have extracted data from 2LIS_13_VDITM. In the ODS when I look at the Active data, column Billing Qty Sls Units - it shows "13,190 " and the Sales Unit is "KM".
    ITEM   SALES UNIT  Billing Qty :Sales Unit
    10       KM          13,190
    20       KM           0,500
    In R3 table VBRK also it stores in the above format.
    But while reporting it rounds of the data as 13,000 and 1,000.
    How can i get the actuals, in reporting also.
    Pls advise. thanks in advance.

    Hi Eugene -Scaling it to 1 did not help.
    Hi Roberto -> I had a look at the entries in T006 for KM (kilometers)and M(meters). this is what i got.
    [Int. meas. unit] [Decimal.pl.rnd.] [Decimal places]
    KM            |       0       |            0
    M             |       2       |            0
    And in SPRO in Src System and BW Sytem there is no mention of KM and meters.

  • Issue on Decimal notation

    Hi Friends,
    Here i'm facing issue on decimal notation, which we maintained at User profile screen
    like 1.234.567,89 / 1,234,567.89
    In an report output, for a particular field, value is displaying as 1.25 - here i chose decimal notation 1.234.567,89 on my userid
    But the value is displaying as 1,25 or 1.25 based on their user profiles whatever they maintained decimal notations at their user profiles, so now i need to make this as common decimal factor to either 'comma' or 'dot' at report output irrespective of users profile...hope you understand
    Please provide me your valuable inputs.
    Thanks
    Suren

    hi,
    convert the amount before passing to the report.Pass teh amount to a char field before printing.
    use bapi to convert it to desired format:
    BAPI_CURRENCY_CONV_TO_INTERNAL
    BAPI_CURRENCY_CONV_TO_EXTERNAL

  • Issue with displaying text in BEx

    Hi all,
    We are facing an issue with displaying text in the query output.
    We have a master data carrying charac ' 0MATERIAL'.When i do maintain master data ,I am able to see medium description in the output.
    Now when i drag 0MATERIAL in bex designer and in properties set display to key and text(medium text), it shows me only the key and it shows some wierd text which is in no way related to the medium description ( that was shown under maintain master data)
    can anyone pls tell me why i am not able to see the medium description when executing the query that too when the text is loaded.
    Pls help
    Regards,
    Suchitra

    But what i wouldlike to know is what about the master data which is present in 0MATERIAL now?
    Nothing will happen to your data.
    Its showing there ...dosent that mean its present and activated?
    They are present n in active version.
    If u change any records they will be in M version..by activating the data...u are converting it to A version.

  • ODI-HFM issue with decimal separator

    Hi all,
    We are extracting data from an HFM application A and loading into an HFM application B.
    Example:
    Data extracted from applicaiton A = 21.742.139,55
    Data loaded to application B (verified from Explore Data and Smart View) = 2.174.213.955,00
    Is data loading with ODI-HFM taking the regional settings?
    Any suggestions?
    If we extract data with HFM Client (logged on with the same user configured in HFM Data server) from application A and load it into application B, data is correct in application B.
    Current configuration is:
    - User preferences for HFM Application A
         * Decimal separator = ","
         * Thousands separator = "."
    - User preferences for HFM Application B
         * Decimal separator = ","
         * Thousands separator = "."
    - Regional settings of the server where the agent is running (English US)
         * Decimal separator = "."
         * Thousands separator = ","
    This setting is the same for all HFM application servers
    - ODI Datastore HFMDatastore
         * Decimal separator set to "," (this setting was changed to see if solved the issue)
    - ODI Datastore for staging table
         * Decimal separator set to "," (this setting was changed to see if solved the issue)
    - Language Settings for DB (American English)
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Pls Use This
        For Decimal Separator other than . we need to Code to Convert , See This Code Below and Do the Code
    Private Function ReturnQty(ByVal Qty As String) As String
    Dim strQty As String
    Dim strSQL As String
    Dim strSeprtr As String
    Dim objRS As SAPbobsCOM.Recordset
    strSQL = "SELECT ThousSep FROM OADM"
    Set objRS = oSBC.oDICompany.GetBusinessObject(BoRecordset)
    objRS.DoQuery (strSQL)
    If Not objRS.EOF Then
            strSeprtr = objRS.Fields.Item("ThousSep").Value
    End If
    If strSeprtr = "," Then
    ReturnQty = Qty
    ElseIf strSeprtr = "'" And Len(Qty) <= 6 Then
    Qty = Replace(Qty, ",", ".")
    'Qty = Replace(Qty, ",", ".")
    ReturnQty = Qty
    Qty = Qty

  • Issue with Compounded infoobjects in BEx

    Hey Everyone,
    I have a small issue when running a report in BEx.  I want to be able to run a report against different Profit Centers, and have all values on the same line.  But, in some cases, I have the same Profit Center on different lines, because the Controlling Area is different (compounded with Profit Center).
    Example:
    Profit Center           Site            Value
    1000-103                1000           $100
    1000-103                1000           $200
    I want to see:
    Profit Center           Site            Value
    1000-103                1000          $300
    I have set Controlling Area to NO DISPLAY in the query properties, and it doesn't display it, but still puts the same Profit Center on two separate lines, because it's compounded and because it does actually have a different Controlling Area.
    Is there anyway to not have the Controlling Area influence my result, and have the same Profit Center aggregated with the other, so they end up on the same line?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi ,
    try this:
    steps:
    1. Remove the Profit center from your report .
    2. Drag it again in rows where u want the profit center be.
    When u r draging the profit center to  rows "Controlling area" will also come along with it as that was compounded.
    3. Drag "Controlling area" info-object to "Filter section" of query designer.
    4. make the Display properties setting of "Profit Center " as "Standard text".
    That will solve the problem .
    Thanks

  • Issue with webi report on BEx query

    Hi,
    I have created a universe on top of Bex query.  There is no issue in creating and exporting the universe.  But when I try to create a webi report out that BEx query, I am not able to see the values.  Say if I have a column called "Company"  I am getting the value as "All Company" and so on.  What will be the issue?
    But when a report is generated out of BEx analyser they are able to see the values properly.
    Same user credentials are used in both the places (Importing the query into universe, Connecting to BEx Analyser) .
    Thanks & Regards,
    Subbu S

    Hi Subbu,
    the universe will generate a L00 item and a L01 item. The L00 item shows the All member of the characteristic in the case of a flat list and the Top level nodes from a hierarchy. the L01 item should give you what you looking for.

  • Issue with Variable Personalisation in Bex Report

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm facing a typical problem with Variable presonalisation in the Report.
    I've executed a BEX Report and filtered data on some characteristics and used SAVE AS Button on the Portal to save the resultset. When I'm trying to use the variants, again say after  2 or 3 days i couldn't find updated data for particular variants upon using the same variants rather its refelecting the old data. Further more when I execute the report and try filtering on the same criteria altogether, I'm able to see updated result set.
    Is there any setting to be enabled when we personalise variants or variants are dependent on the data or the date on which they are created. Not sure why the reports are behaving this way. Or Do I need to create variants time and again.
    Any pointers would be of great help.
    Regard,
    Yaseen

    Hello,
    In the BEx report, when you get the variable selection screen there input your selection and at the bottom you have the option of saving them as a variant.
    Now in future when you run the report simply use this variant and execute the report. It should work fine.
    Also remember date selection can be tricky. If you input todays date in the variant, it wil consider the same date in further references. So do a check on that too.

  • Issue with Exclude Selection in Bex

    Hi all,
       I have created a query to display the Top 10 Customers.
    Here I have excluded all the customers apart from the Top 10 since they differ
    based on different regions. There are 4 different regions and the customers differ
    for all of them. Here the issue being I dont get the exact percentage of Orders and
    Sales because of these excluded values. Here I cant use include selection since i
    need different top 10 customers for the 4 regions.
        How to compute percentage with Exclude Selection? Could anybody help?
    Points would be surely assigned.
    Regards,
    Sunitha.R

    Dear Anil,
         I have my Orders, Sales, percentage calculations in columns and the excluded
    Top 10 customers in rows. I get the individual percentage values for each customer.
      My scenario being :
      Orders 06  : Values computed with Calculate Result as Summation - Properties.
      Orders 07 : Values computed with Calculate Result as Summation - Properties.
      Orders % : Here I have given Calculated Result as Nothing - properties.
           I get the individual percentages say :
         <b>                  Orders 06              Orders 07        Percentage</b>
    <b>Customer 1 : </b>       12.1                       91.2                    75.5
    <b>Customer 2 :</b>          7.6                          7.9                   104.3
    <b>
    Overall Result:</b>         19.7                         99.1                 Wrong Value
        Considering the above example, total percantage is computed wrongly. The excluded value's total is not considered at all. Can you now give me your suggestion?

  • Conversion issues with decimal points from v5.1.5 to XI

    Several reports which were converted from v5.1.5 full client to XI Webi have numeric differences. When comparing v5.1.5  to XI, the sums on the columns don't exactly match. The cell format on these numbers is set to eight decimal points. When we converted, I noticed the cell format changed from number 0.00000000 in 5.1.5 to custom 0.00000000 in XI. I don't know if this is the reason the sums don't match or if it's something else.

    Hello Ellen,
    as you refer to a Webi problem I recommend to post this query to the [BusinessObjects Web Intelligence|SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence; forum.
    This forum is dedicated to topics related to the creation and design of Web Intelligence documents using the Web Intelligence Report Panels. This includes areas such as universe connectivity, prompts, charting, formatting, filters, and formulas.
    It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.
    Also, all Webi queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.
    Best regards,

  • Re : Issue with the column display in Bex reports

    Hello Gurus,
    I have an issue with the reports in Bex, this is a bit confusing scenario I would try to explain in more details. A query was already built for monthly Report in Sales and Billing for which the variable were  Calender month/year range 1 (mandatory), range 2 range 3 range 4. These 4 variable were created and moved to column rows in query.
    Later the user wanted the copy of same report but he wanted the variables to be Calender date range 1 (mandatory), range 2, range 3 , range 4. I have created them with 0calenderday as reference and moved to the columns.
    for the monthly report text variables were already existing for the Calender month/ year, but for the daily report text variable were not existing for Dates. I have created a text variable for the date in the following way processing by
    " replacement path" and reference characteristic as 0calday and in the replacement path tab.. in replace variable the selection is info object, the next option Replace with " External charactersitic value key " .
    By creating this text variable the dates were being displayed in the colum header like 11/01/2013 - 11/30/2013 which satisfies the requirement.
    But the user wanted to see the report same like monthly report when the mandatory variable Calender year/ month is selected, the rest of the columns range 2, range 3, range 4 are displayed as unassigned in the report. but coming back to the daily report when the user is giving the Calender date rage 1, he is finding that Calender date range 2, range 3, range 4  are also being displayed with values. He want to see the Calender date range 2,3,4 as unassigned in the report just like monthly. Please find the images attached.
    As Calender month/ year is predefined, if the calender range values are not given it would show up as not assigned default. I have created a separate text variable for Calender day, I believe that could be the reason rest of the columns are not showing up as unassigned. The user want to see them as unassigned like monthly report columns.
    I tried different ways changing the text variables but I could not change the display of the columns in Calender date report by the option - replace with ----> External characteristic value key, key, label. when I chose the option external characteristic value then the date was showing up in the text of the column when report is run ( Please find the image for the reference in the attachment ). . I request you to help me out in this. Please find the images of the variables and output below.

    Anshu,
    Thank you very much for above code I  made minor changes to the code that finally worked. I created 4 different text variables needed for Calender date range 1, 2 ,3 ,4. Please find the code below for the text variable that worked in the system
    WHEN 'ZTEXT_CAL1'.
       READ TABLE I_T_VAR_RANGE INTO loc_var_range
       WITH KEY VNAM = 'ZCALDATE1'.
        IF loc_var_range-LOW = '#'.
          dt_low = 'Not Assigned'.
          dt_high = 'Not Assigned'.
          CONCATENATE dt_low '-' dt_high INTO l_s_range-low.
        ELSE.
          CONCATENATE loc_var_range-low+4(2) '/' loc_var_range-low+6(2) '/' loc_var_range-low+0(4) into dt_low.
          CONCATENATE loc_var_range-high+4(2) '/' loc_var_range-high+6(2) '/' loc_var_range-high+0(4) into dt_high.
          CONCATENATE dt_low '-' dt_high INTO l_s_range-low.
        ENDIF.
            L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
            L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'EQ'.
            APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.

  • Default decimal notation in user profile

    Dear All,
    Is there any way by which we can ignore decimal notation saved in user profile.
    I need to set the decimal notation 1,234,567.89 irrelevant of user profile setting. If user has saved any other optios for decimal notation in user profile then also i need to set the decimal notation as 1,234,567.89.
    Thanks a adv.

    Hello
    So, for this I have created in OY01 three countries:
    Z1 with decimal notation 1.234.567,89
    Z2 with decimal notation 1,234,567.89
    Z3 with decimal notation 1 234 567,89
    When I need to use in report some decimal notation I set particular country:
    set country 'Z1'. " output will be in format 1.234.567,89
