Issue with decision popup with yes/no combination

hI,
I'm having issue with create_popup_2_confirm method.I'm using yes no option in my popup.But when I click on yes button in the popup though OP_YES outbound plug is getting triggered of component GS_PTC, but not able to get any fired outbound plug in the closing event of popup i.e. event handler Save. CAn anybody help me on this?
My code is as follows:
popup = me->comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup_2_confirm(
iv_title = lv_title
iv_text = lv_text
iv_btncombination = if_bsp_wd_window_manager=>co_btncomb_yesno ).
Then set a close event and open the popup :
popup->set_on_close_event( iv_view = me
iv_event_name = 'SAVE' ).
popup->open( ).
Code written in Save event handler
CHECK POPUP IS BOUND.
lv_confirm_result = POPUP->get_fired_outbound_plug( ).
CHECK lv_confirm_result = 'YES'.

I checked the code and I dont think there is any issue.
The only question I could think of is ...
has variable POPUP been declared globally in the SAME view ?
The outbound plug name 'YES' is case sensitive.

Yes. You assign a LOV definition to the attribute that then you display in the af:query component. You can also have dependnet LOV implemented this way. However, you cannot have a custom (your own) list of value popup dialog used

My iPad2 is stuck with a popup that says "iCloud Backup"

My iPad2 is stuck with a popup with the title of iCloud Back up that states
"This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to WiFi" I click OK and nothing happens. I cannot power down the device either. I can't get away from the pop up to connect it to a new wifi connection because I'm on vacation and there is no apple support. Someone please help!?!?!

See if you can quit all apps and then restart the iPad.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
After restarting or resetting - - go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>iCloud Backup>On - then tap Back up Now to backup the iPad to iCloud.

Task flow-call as a Dialog with inline-popup issue JDev 11.1.1.2.0

I have a very serious issue with task flow-call running as a Dialog with inline-popup
have bunch of data driven table components pointing to pageDefs with Iterators
the problem is, the dialog comes first with nothing in it (blank) and it takes 3-5 seconds to fetch all views,
this is useless, there is no option to control taskflow-call activation , like you do for af:region

Download the workspace , connect as HR Schema and you will see what I am talking about
looks really dumb, it would make sense to show dialog with data all at once, rarther than looking at blank screen to wait for the data to show up

sometimes I wonder if anyone tested this, as soon as you have some data driven components on your page, you get all sorts of problems in ADF
But something simple, Adf client side invokes the Dialog as a popup first, and then it thinks oh ya I get massive pageDef to load, so end-user customer will stare at the blank screen for 10 secs , hoping that something will come up or program is crashed

ok, knowing this fact, I want to show some kind of status indicator during the wait time.
Unfortunately, putting af:statusIndicator does not work untill after entire page loads

Tab focus issue with 2 popups open

Hi!
I've just got a nasty problem with 2 popups and a tab focus.
First poup automatically opens second popup and if you press TAB
key focus goes to the first popup window - underneath the top one.
As a matter of fact - if you open the second popup by
clicking on the button in the first window - no problem. It happens
only if the first window opens second via AS.
I've found on the internet the following

Because the focus behavior of this method is platform-dependent, developers are strongly encouraged to use requestFocusInWindow when possible.
That is why I used requestFocusInWindow.

There are plenty of FM's for pop up.
POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_WITH_MESSAGE u2013 which is a dialog box creation in which the user shall be informed about a specific decision point(with message yes or no) during an action.
POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_WITH_VALUE - which is a dialog box creation in which you make a question whether the user wishes to perform a processing step.
POPUP_TO_DECIDE - This FM shall provide the user with choices depicted as radio buttons.The choice what he makes will lead him to further processing

Firefox keeps prompting me for password with the popup

Firefox at my work computer keeps prompting for password with the popup message "The proxy moz-proxy://proxy:9119 is requesting a username and password. The site says: "moz-proxy://proxy:9119"" This happens too often,even If i provide the username and password I get the next popup with same message.
Its very annoying, I am not finding web better because of this, I goggled and figured about the config settings of - network.automatic-ntlm-auth.allow-proxies and the other one not working.
I guess I am missing the PAC URL or something which I remember like solved the problem sometime back but not in same domain though.
Can someone help ?

Tecra M10 - Stuck CTRL key issue -- perhaps to do with BIOS?

I recently switched my Tecra M10 to Windows 7 (from XP) and it soon developed the dreaded "stuck CTRL key" issue. This causes the keyboard to behave as if the CTRL key is permanently depressed. Sometimes hitting a combination of keys, or bringing up the onscreen keyboard, temporarily solves the issue, but then it returns.
It seems to be an issue many people have, with no simple solution. I've looked at every thread about it I can find, and tried many things to do with drivers etc. without any success.
So firstly, if anyone knows a remedy that works for this particular machine, I would be very grateful to learn it!
Then, there are two things I've not yet done: update BIOS and disable pinch zoom.
I was looking at the following BIOS update:

... which is version 3.00 and seems to be most recent. My own version is 1.90.
However version 3.00 is labelled "For PTMB0* ONLY". I don't know what this means or whether it applies to me. Can anyone help? Should I install this BIOS?
For the pinch zoom, I've been told that disabling it does sometimes cure the CTRL problem -- but I can't find any pinch zoom facility on the M10. I suspect it simply doesn't have one. Is that right?

There are different Tecra M10 models on the market.
Check the labels at the bottom of the unit. There you should find some numbers like for example PTMB0E-01K00LGR
The first 6 characters are important: for example PTMB0E
I assume your notebook belongs to European series.
In such case you should check the Toshiba EU driver page for possible BIOS update.

However, on Toshiba EU driver page you will find also the BIOS v3.0 for all European Tecra M10 units.
Anyway, back to the CTRL button issue: guess what, you should connect an external USB keyboard and should check how the CTRL button acts.
In case the USB keyboard would work properly, the CTRL button of internal keyboard is affected and you will need to replace the internal keyboard.
PS: it could be possible that the option "sticky keys" has been enabled. To disable this function, you have to press SHIFT button 5 times in the row.

Popup with open and save file option

I have created a button on my page name as "Export File" and created a process and called on "EXPORT FILE" button. I am using utl file in this procedure and i want to download this file and file will be .ics file using for calendar.
My page process code is

end;when i click on export file button it should raise a popup with open and save file option.
How i can do this?

Have you installed any new Software/Spyware/Virus Scanner etc.Check it out.It might have caused the issue for last 5 days.
This issue is fixed in Latest Support Package Versions.
Which Version of Support Package you are using?
If EP6 <SP19 you will face this issue.
Just upgrade it to EP6, Support Pack-19,this will be resolved.
Upgrade of Support Pack wont take much time.you can get the document under http://service.sap.com/instguides

Create a popup with a swf file

Hello everyone, I am creating a personal travel photography
website. Basically what the users will be presented with is a map
of the world, they may scroll over different areas of the world
which will enlarge that geographical area. Hot spots will be
visible to users where pictures are available.
Now what I want to do is when the users click one of the hot
spots I want a popup window to appear with a already created
gallery.
Is there a simple way of doing this?

Yes, it is. Flash enables you to open Popups with getURL.
Here comes an HTML function. Just adjust it to Flash AS, and
call it with
parameters...

Modal popup with lightbox effect on page load

I was looking for help for making a windows modal popup with reads a url from xml file and load it into windows modal popup in the centre of the screen on page load. The requirement was also that it will dim the rest of the page. After searching at several places I got hint at:

Now there are two issues that background page is not getting dim and if any one can help me in telling how to load flash modal popup on pageload. I dont want it to be annoyed so just want to load popup once a session of once a day only on first page, I am trying cookies but I dont know why I it is not reading cookies in production environment. situation... I'm actually not using a Spry dataset in any way, just
some Spry effects to enhance my own markup (which comes from a PHP
page but is static as far as the document is concerned.)
If I put the Spry effect in the body onload handler, the
element appears for a second as the page loads, then disappears
suddenly as the Spry fade in effect kicks in bringing it from 0 to
100.
Another related question, I would like the Spry effect to to
fade in with some values ending at the values as set by my CSS
class... is it possible to have it do so? In other words fade from
0 to current value? I know there are some ways to retrieve default
styling of an element but figure Spry might have something built
in?

Problem with Decision step execution

Hi Friends,
I have a problem with executing a decision step. When I execute the decision using SAP_WAPI_DECISION_COMPLETE the workitem goes to completed state and doesn't do anything after that. But when I execute the same step from SBWP the subsequent steps gets executed and rest all works fine. I am sure there is a problem with Decision step . The task I am using is TS00008267. Is there a replacement for this step or is there something to do with feature ADVANCE WITH DIALOG or agents .I have agents in place. Please help.

There is no necessity of sending any result back to the workitem container. In the decision step container , it contains a standard container element WIResult it will populated based, on the decision you took on the workitem (IF it is a Decisionworkitem).
when I execute the FM to write the decision, the task ( generic decision task)
is not getting executed.
Can you pelase let us know what is the return code, th function module is retruning back, once you try to execute the workitem by using the FM, if it is other than zero then can you please let us know what is the message.
, Before trying to execute the workitem can you please check whether the workitem is stored in the standard workitem header table SWWWIHEAD. as the above function module will validate the workitem from the header table.....

Fill the 'Objects and Attachments ' in Decision step with milestone detils

My requirement is to fill the 'Objects and Attachments ' in Decision step with a display milestone details as seen in cj20n transactiobn.
I am using business object MLST_NETW but display method does not show detsils of milestone .
is there any other way i could possibly show th emilestone detsils as seen in cj20n transction.

Yes th ebinding is correctly done when I chcek in SBWP for that item it displays the link with the milestone no and when i cleck on the link it asks me the milstone no also but it does not display any detils of milestone or does not navigate to th emilestone page.
I tried testing the display method of the stnadard business object MLST_NETW independly but i see even here the milestone detils page not appearing .Is there some other bO which has to be used or some way through which i colud navigate to the milestone detsils page transaction is CJ20n

Hi,
Make sure you have &ABSENCE& object is instantiated in any one of the steps before to youe decision step.
In Workflow Log, check the container elements and see if Adhoc_Objects container element value getting filled or not on your user decision step? If it is not having any values and if your binding is correct, then i am sure &ABSENCE& object is not instantiated before. Check !!
