Issue with redirection using Document ID

Hi All,
I have a library with unique permission set, if a user who does not have access to the library tries to access a URL which has the document id (https://domainname/sites/Test1/_layouts/15/DocIdRedir.aspx?ID=UMZ2EEKCF25S-37-4), it gives the following message
"No documents with the
ID UMZ2EEKCF25S-37-4
were found in this site collection" eventhough the item exist in the site collection. After giving View Only permission level to the user for the library, the DOC ID url gives access denied message as expected but the user get permission to View all the
items in the library
We have built a SP search based solution using DOC ID for redirection to a particular item in the library. It is misleading if it shows
"No document with the ID found".
Please help me on this.

The issue is if a User who does not have permission (Permission is None, have set unique permission level) to access to a Library item with the Document ID, then it gives the message "No
documents with the ID UMZ2EEKCF25S-37-4were
found in this site collection" though the Item exists in the Site/Library. This message is quite misleading since the item actually exists in the Site.
I expect the message to be
"Access denied".
If I give user the permission
"View Items - View
items in lists and documents in document libraries",
then it gives access denied message. If I give the permission "Open Items - View the source of documents with server-side file handlers."
then it actually opens the Item.

There is no problems reading/seeing these PDF & Word docs on anything other than iDevices.
This is rather critical for us & if not quickly fixed/rectified will prevent us from further purchases of these devices
Rolling back to iOS 5.0.1 or prior I believe isn't possible because of the BaseBand update(?) & isn't much of an option because of the quite noticeable Battery/Charging/WiFi improvements in 5.1 & 5.1.1

I logged a call with AppleCare & have since had explained why this occurs (some time ago)
I'll try to explain what was indicated to me.
iOS has a limited Font Set & this affects what PDFs can display. You need to use iOS supported fonts in your PDFs to see/read them properly
These supported fonts are indicated here => http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4980
Regards MS office docs, iOS doesn't have much of an API to work with MS Office documents at all so is stuck with 3rd Party Apps to try to do it.
Unfortunately Mail in/on iOS uses the API to attempt to open/use MS Office attachments unless you tell it to use an App to open the attachment.
I have had success opening & reading MS office docs now with CloudOn, but find it slow & very awkward to use.
Not too sure if this helps others, but at least it explains why this is occurring

Issue with generation of document/literal type WSDL using Axis

I am trying to convert some Java code into WSDL using Axis 1.2 framework. I used Document/Literal style for binding.
One of the methods in my Java code returns an array. This array is described in Axis generated WSDL as follows:

But the end user(client for the web service I am hosting) says " .NET won't allow him to consume my webservice (or generate the proper reference classes) for types that derive from encoded types".
So my question is "Would it be possible to change the webservice so that it doesn’t use that(soapenc) implementation of the array?"
The end user is expecting something more like this:

We definitely support the ability to call a web service that exposes two operations (document/literal or not).
Glancing through your WSDL, it looks good.
Could you please try to tunnel the second request and see 1) what data is sent to the service and 2) what data is returned by the service?

BYOD Onboarding issue with Redirects on ISE 1.2

Hi there,
I'm having intermittent issues with onboarding endpoints (both wired and wireless) with ISE 1.2 (Patch 12).
I get three differing scenarios upon attempting:
1). I get redirected to the ISE Self Registration Portal, register, download the supplicant OK and then can browse with no problems.
2) I dont get redirected at all and so never see the Self Registration portal. All browsing tries to go to the selected website and fails (presumably as the redirect URL is in place even if the browser is not "seeing" it). If I force the browser URL to to ISE I get the Self Registration Portal displayed but with no MAC details present so I can get no further.
3) I get redirected, and seemingly Register OK, download the profiles etc...but after a "Registered Sucessfully" message, any attempt to browse to external website is again redirected to the Portal. I can then re-register again (it lets me do that as if the first time) but I just end up in that loop forever.
These problems are mostly seen wirelessly (I have a WLC 5508) but also wired clients via 3850 wired ports. I am using a collection of endpoints (Andorid, IPads, Laptops) to test and de-registering them between attempts and the results are entirely random among the three scenarios.
I am not changing any policies in between attempts so they are working fine at times, and not at others.

Thanks for your reply. I have attached some info as requested. For AuthZ rules they should first hit an EAP-MSCHAPv2 rule via the secure SSID which redirects them to the NSP process and gives them an ACL on the WLC that only allows DHCP, DNS and traffic to from ISE.
Afterward registration they should then get a certificate and then after a COA reauthenticate using EAP-TLS.
All this works fine at times, but at other times Web traffic NEVER gets redirected to ISE to begin the registration process or alternatively endpoints are STUCK in a circle of registration in that the th redirect works OK and you register OK but the redirect is permanently on and you keep getting asked to re-register your device despite the fact you have already done it once.
If you can avoid either of these scenarios, it works absolutely fine. It feels like the endpoints themselves are the issue, as I am using a small set of test devices to register (and then de-register) to test with.
However the same device that wont work at all for many many attempts, will eventually suddenly work OK and the BYOD process completes. I do however seem to have a permanent problem with Surface Pro's in that I can never get them to see the redirect at all.

Issue with saving sales document.

Hi,
I have an issue with saving the sales document.
When I save any sales document ( Order, Quotation, Contract, Delivery) its successful and showing document no in the information bar.
But when I try to view or change the document, it shows no document exist in the database. Its not even in the archive.
Any solution for this issue.

Issue with Reports using costume measures - BPC 10.0 NW

Hello BPC Colleagues,
I’m having a problem with some BPC reports using costume measures and I would like to have your inputs about this issue.
When all the reports are executed using a costume measures the report execution fails after a long time of execution (7min). The report has 1200 accounts and 57 company codes.
In order to create trial balance we create these costume measure. Basically the measures are standars (with a few changes) and it works for limited reports (few account and companies) but we I try to executed for several accounts and companies I have the following error:
“The execution of report Default Report failed. Please contact your administrator.”
Error while communicating with the server
Framework message:
The underlying connection was close: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.
Summary of the BPC LOG:
|An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to https://BPCENV.APPSET.MODEL. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See server logs for more details.#
We already increased the PSAPTEMP table and this didn’t fix the issue. At the beginning we were sure that this was an issue with table space but the error persist.
I don’t think (maybe I’m wrong) that this is not an issue related to the costume measure or to authorizations since I can retrieve data if I reduce the request to less accounts an company, so in my point of view this looks like a performance issue.

Facing issue with concurrent use of session

Issue we got while performing performance test for multiple user and issue is at com.day.crx.security.ldap.LDAPUserSync.performUpdate api. question about the statement "it seems, that you import lot of users concurrently from the LDAP". for us yes we are but the question is should that me problamatic? We do see that it is causing issues for us in CQ5.5 with CRX 2.3.15:
com.day.crx.security.ldap.LDAPLoginModule commit: could not commit: javax.jcr.InvalidItemStateException: property /some/LDAP/group/rep:lastsynced: the property cannot be saved because it has been modified externally.
However we had no such issue with CQ5.3 with CRX2.0

I am working on configuring Alerts using BPM.
I have followed the below blog by Micheal.

In BPM after the receive step I have used container and control steps to capture the Idoc Number as mentioned in the blog.
I am facing an issue with it now as an Alert message is send to my Inbox even when the message is succesfully processed by the adapter.
This is a strange behaviour when we talk about Alerts.
Can somebody help me out in this?

Hi Zabiulla,
Michal explained just the basic, the logic of your process is to build by yourself. Usually an alert will be raised inside of an exception branch. You can define exceptions for critical operations, f.e. send steps or transformations, the exception will be catched by jumping to the exception branch, where you can store a suitable reaction - f.e. an alert.

Popup Issue with Application using SSL

I am having an issue with one of our apex applications using SSL.
I have a few popups in my application and for that I am using the Popup2 function that is built into APEX.
When I run the app without a secure layer (directly from the server) I am able to get the popups and everything works fine.
but when I run the app using the regular url https: the popup(s) does not work. When I checked the source code on the web page the error I got is as shown below. I found that the following apex_legacy_4_0.js file was truncated in the source code. It was not retrieved fully.

Can somebody please let me know how I can fix this issue.
Please Note: This was an application that was working without any issues for more than 2years. All of a sudden (since last month) we are getting this error. According to Our Network and DBA's we have not made any changes/patches to our servers.

Ok. I figured it out. The url rewrite was missing in the config. Put it there and its working now.

Tracing an issue with inetd using dtrace

I am dealing with an issue with inetd on SunOS 5.10 05/08 with 137137-09 patch.
The inetd seems consuming more cpu 20% which I think is not normal. The inetd is managing few application processes.
I also see the inetd spawning child inetd deamon every now and then. I understand that if a parent inetd gets very busy, it
spawns a child inetd to handle the client requests. Am I right?
So I want to know what makes the parent inetd consume more CPU. I was wondering if dtrace can help in that regard.

Issue with Opening Sharepoint document using editDocumentWithProgID2

HI,
We have a scenario where we dynamically generate a excel(xls) document, save it to document library and open it in edit mode.
To open the document in edit mode, we are using 'editDocumentWithProgID2' javascript function. But we are facing an issue here.
For some documents it is opening up in edit mode but for some 'open-save' dialogue box is poping up.
PLease, let us know how can we solve this issue.

You have mentioned in your post that your are opening document in Edit mode, but i doubt the above code open the doc in Read mode.Can you try the below code once.

Intermittent issues with Login using OAM-OIF

We are using OIF (11.1.1.3), OAM (10.1.4.3) for authentication mechanism, it's observed that the login functionality fails intermittently when authnoam request redirects to the login form ( we are using form based authentication in OAM), the request /fed/usr/authnoam is being protected by the OAM in the policy configurations.
Is there any pointer you can provide to pin point where the issue is occurring and why the authnoam request is resulting in the login form page.
We do following
1. The /fed/idp/initiatesso request is fired from webcenter along with returnurl and the providerid parameter are passed in the query string parameter
2. OIF then redirects the request to the authnaom request
3. the credentials are post for the authnoam request.

BY enabling the trace logging on Webgate and AccessServer we found that the /fed/usr/authnoam request is getting malformed with credential information. Now we are looking as to why this malformed URL is getting generated and there by causing the authentication failure.

I am having issues with printing using Adobe Reader

I am currently using adobe reader and have not been able to print with my HP DeskJet 3050, I have both reinstalled my drivers and Reader, yet they both will not work. Every time I click print it brings up the printing options screen, from there I have tried the following: I have tried printing the document as an image, changing the language to see if the printer itself could not handle the printing language and I have also tried to save the document as a preprint and printing it from there yet it is still not working. Adobe will not send data to que up with the printer, when checking the print que, even if I set the printer to offline it will not que up.

User is having a save issue with Word 2007 documents created from a template.

I have 1 particular user, out of approx. 30, that is experiencing an intermittent problem when trying to save a Word 2007 document to a network drive. The particular error is
"Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error. (xxx.docx)" CTRL-SHIFT-I Error Code is: 701743
This only happens while he is working in a document created from a template (.dotm) file I made a few months ago. The problem has never occurred with any other Word docs or Excel, or any of the other users accessing the template to create documents. He
also gets an error message stating

But this only occurs when trying to "Save As" The odd thing is that if he renames the file to something like xxx1.docx, it will allow him to save on the network folder with no issues. And as mentioned, this is intermittent - he may go weeks without
seeing the message while doing nothing different.
I have tried search for similar issues in the forums but they don't seem to match exactly what is happening to us. Our 3-man IT department seems to be at a loss and I have had good luck solving other issues in this forum so I thought I would give it
a try.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

It's seems temporary internet folder corrupted, please try to modify the location for temporary Internet files for Internet Explorer test this issue:
1.In Internet Explorer, choose Internet Options from the Tools menu to display the Internet Options dialog.
2.In the Internet Options dialog, click the General tab. In the Browsing history section click Settings to open the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings dialog.
3.In the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings dialog, click Move Folder to open the Browse for Folder dialog.
4.In the Browse for Folder dialog, select the following location.
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files
5.Click OK to close the Browse for Folder dialog. Click OK to close the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings dialog. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog.
6.Reboot the computer.

Weird issue with merge using JPA...?

I have the following code snippet (HsTrans has a manytoone relation with Hss), Hss is the parent
            HsTrans hsTrans = new HsTrans();
         Hss hss=em.find(Hss.class, studyId);
         hsTrans.setStudy(studyId);
         hsTrans.setState(state.toString());
         hsTrans.setTimestamp(timeOfState);
         hss.getHsTrans().add(hsTrans); //Add child to aprent
         hsTrans.setHss(hss);                //Child Parent
            em.merge(hss); // Does not work Throws a Unique Key violation error
Whereas replacing the same with this
         Hss hss2=hsStudyTrans.getHsStudy();
            em.merge(hss2); // Works fine
   Does anyone know if this is a JPA bug or some other issue.

I've written dozens of applications now that use JPA and I think I really needed merge a grand total of once.
In this snippet you provide, you are apparently making the 'hss' object managed through the em.find() method. This means that any changes you make to it will be made persistent as soon as the transaction is committed. You don't need to call merge() at all, you only call that on entities that are detached.
Now for the actual problem of unique key violation, I don't even see you committing hsTrans. Change the code to this:
HsTrans hsTrans = new HsTrans();
Hss hss=em.find(Hss.class, studyId);
hsTrans.setStudy(studyId);
hsTrans.setState(state.toString());
hsTrans.setTimestamp(timeOfState);
hsTrans.setHss(hss); // set managed hss object
em.persist(hsTrans); // persist hsTrans and make it managed
hss.getHsTrans().add(hsTrans); // add the new managed hsTrans to the hss mapped collection
