Issue with transaction controls in 10.2

Hi there,
We are upgrading WLI 8.1 SP5 to WLI 10.2. We followed the instructions as per upgrading guide through wizard. During building we are getting the error w.r.t transactioncontrol interface
"Interfaces annotated with ControlExtension must extend an interface annotated with ControlInterface."
History:
We have a custom interface which extends "com.bea.paston.transactioncontrol.TransactionControl" . So do we have 10.2 interface that fixes this issue
Thanks in advance
Seshadri

In Jdeveloper 11g ,
You do not need to flatten the parameters. The complex parameters get exposed as a updateable accessor under the data control node.

complexArg1(object)
1. You can DnD <OperationName>_parameters->complexArg1 as an ADF Form
2. DnD the method as a button , when the Action binding editor comes up, enter the value for the parameter as
#{bindings.complexArg1Iterator.currentRow.dataProvider}
3. DnD the return type and run the page
when you enter values in the form, they will be included in the SOAP request. Note that the EL takes the form #{bindings.<paramName>Iterator.currentRow.dataProvider}

  • Issue with copy control of Delivery document to Billing document

    Hi All,
I am having some issue with copy control of Delivery document to Billing document.
I am having two line items in Delivery documetn, one is for item to be delivered to customer and other which is created due to batch determination.
Now , when I create billing document (VF01) with reference to this delivery document , I want only one line item (for the one which needs to be delivered to customer).
I have used following things in  copy contro from ZLF to ZF2:
    Copying requirements: 004 ( Deliv-related item)
    Data VBRK/VBRP: 007 "(Inv.Split (Rec/Div))
Is it correct or shall I use something else, so I have only one line item in Billing document.

  • Having an issue with Parental Controls...

Hi, I'm having an issue with Parentel Controls.
I run several student labs set with parental controls on the systems for a higher education facility. We don't have restricted access to web content (our students need to look up a lot of things, even some that would be considered racey, it's an arts school) and when I set it to "Allow Unrestricted Access" to web content, about a week or so later I'll start getting reports that content is being blocked. I go to check, and sure enough the controls are set to "restrict access to content".
I've had two interations of this issue thus far and it's a pane to go through each system (there are a lot of systems) and manually reconfigure them back to default.
    Any tips?

My son could not interact with sites (log in, post) but he could access them (when parental controls were turned on). I had to go under "preferences" on Firefox (under his name) First go to the drop down the menu from the word "Firefox" then "Preferences" "Privacy" (at the top) then "Exceptions" on the right..... and add each address of the sites and pages I wanted to allow. That worked like a charm!! Maybe pull up the itunes STORE address, copy and paste it in "always allow" (you can choose "block" also.....) This is in Firefox PREFERENCES, not just the parental control section.....
Let us know if that helped! Apple was NO help. (I am an Apple fan, but I am not paying 49.99 to get a question answered by someone who didn't sound like he knew anything, anyway...) I think when you pay for a computer you deserve to have ALL the features work... Is that too much to ask?

  • Performance issue with transaction MC50

I am not sure where to post this question. If I need to post it in another forum, please let me know.
We are having performance issues with transaction MC50. After reviewing SAP Note 457615 we created an index on mseg with the following fields:  MANDT, MJAHR, MATNR, WERKS and SOBKZ.
When running an explain on the sql statement, the database is using a different index. This index has the following fields MANDT, MATNR, WERKS, LGORT, BWART and SOBKZ.
The sql statement is ( sql trace from ST05):
    SELECT * from mseg WHERE "MANDT" = '400' AND "MJAHR" BETWEEN 2009 AND 2009 AND "MATNR" = '000000000054001121'  AND "WERKS" = 'SAT' AND "SOBKZ" IN ( 'K' , 'V' , 'W' , 'O' , ' ' )
Is there any way to force the database to use the newly created index.
    Thanks....Tommy

    Hello Tommy,
at first your database release and patchset is missing.
If you are using Oracle 10g, the advice of Peter is useless, because of statistics are automatically collected by a CREATE INDEX.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/statements_5010.htm#i2075657
    COMPUTE STATISTICS
In earlier releases, you could use this clause to start or stop the collection of statistics on an index. This clause has been deprecated. Oracle Database now automatically collects statistics during index creation and rebuild. This clause is supported for backward compatibility and will not cause errors.
The other thing is  - are you really sure that this SQL statements was executed with literals?
I know that on MSEG (with histograms) it is recommended sometimes, but i just want to be sure.
If you want us to help you - we need much more information .. please check sapnote #1257075 and upload the information to a webhosting platform, so that we can take a look at it.

  • Issue with Period Control Table after copying Essbase adapter

    Hi Experts,
I'm working on version 11.1.1.3 and have copied the adapters (Essbase, Pull + EPRi) in the work bench so I can add an additional target for the FDM application. However, I have an issue with the import process; it returns an error with the Time & Periods (I guess it's something to do with the Periods category).
I have reimported the Periods Control Table and updated the new application's Target Period & Year (whilst changing the system code in the Application settings to the newl adapter) and still receive the same error message.
Any direction or thoughts would be welcome.
    Thanks
    Mark

The time periods do not copy. You need to maintain them through the UI or upload them from excel. There is a KM article on this if you need additional detail.

  • Weird issue with sound control?

I am not sure what is going on with my audio controls. I use MSI to control my audio (it's connected to the motherboard). The strange thing is, a crack appears on the "Reset EQ Setting" button.
    See link: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30673857&l=2041bbbec3&id=1458901123
That wasn't there when I first got the computer. Is there any way I could reinstall this? What could have caused the "crack" to appear? Has this happened to someone else?
I have also noticed that sometimes when I am playing music, the sound wavers, as if I am adjusting the volume slowly up and down by 1 degree. Is this an issue with my motherboard or WMP? Please answer both questions.

If you can't find the model number, please look at the BIOS P.O.S.T. Status Screen and write down the full BIOS ID String as it appears in the following example picture:
Example (taken from the second picture): A7375NMS V2.2
The BIOS ID String will tell us a lot about the System.  In the above example, the following information can be decoded from the ID String:
    A...AMI BIOS Implementation
    7375 ... Model Number (=MS-7375)
    N... NVIDIA Chipset Board
    MS... MS Standard BIOS Release
    V2.2 ... BIOS Version 2.2

  • Strange issue with table control in dialog programming! Please help!

    Hello everyone:
I have a table control on screen painter and I have atleast 10 rows on display when user calls the screen. If I have 15 columns then ofcourse user has to scroll down to see extra rows. I have line selection set to "single" for table control so that user can select only one row at a time. This works fine when user does not have to scroll to see extra rows. It is tough for me to explain i.e., if the table control displays 10 rows when the screen opens up then they can only select single row at a time (rows 1 -10). For example user selected row 7 and now they scroll down to see extra rows (for example 13) then it lets them select row 13 also even though I set line selection to "single" in the properties for table control! They should be able to select only one row at a time. Is this some limitation with table control in SAP? Please give me any information you have.
    Thanks.
    Mithun

    Hi,
As you suspected, this is a limitation in the table control.  You need to take care of the single-selection functionality yourself except for the rows that are actually being displayed.  See [Note 588284|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/588284] for the official SAP explanation.

  • Oracle 10g R2 - Metadata Issue With Version Controlled Resources

We are trying to utilize the Oracle 10g R2 feature that allows user-defined metadata to be attached to XML DB resources. However, we are encountering errors when we try to append/attach metadata to a version-controlled resource (VCR). The following steps were followed:
    1. Register a new schema to be used for metadata (XMLSCHEMA.registerSchema).
    2. Add a new resource to to the XML DB and make it version controlled (DBMS_XDB.createResource and DBMS_XDB_VERSION.makeVersioned).
    3. Checkout the newly created version-controlled resource (DBMS_XDB_VERSION.checkout)
    4. Add metadata to the version-controlled resource (DBMS_XDB.appendResourceMetadata)
However, after step 4, the errors shown below are encountered:
    ========================================================
    begin
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [qmxStrCopy: INLOB 2], [], [], [],
    ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XDB", line 890
    ORA-06512: at line 2
    ========================================================
The steps followed for adding metadata to a resource were taken from Chapter 26 of the "Oracle XML DB Developer's Guide 10G Release 2" (http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14259/xdb_repos_meta.htm#sthref2302).
Is is possible to append and maintain metadata to an XML DB version controlled resource (VCR)? If so, what are the correct steps to do this? Note that if this is tried with a resource that is not version controlled, then no errors are encountered.
    Thanks,
    Steve

It appears that this issue has been solved in the next release of the database

  • Report Viewer icon rendering issue with web controls

    Hi,
I have a sample application in ASP.NET 2.0 in which if I have a report viewer control in an aspx page and when I try to browse the page the report renders properly with all icons image also. But in the same application I am having a web user control that is having the report viewer control and I have added this control on another page. Now if I try to browse this page the report is rendered properly but the icon images are not displayed rather as 'X' is displayed indicating images are missing.
    Thanks
    Kajal

It sounds like the CrystalReportViewer control does not "agree" with the .NET control you are embedding it in. Can you be more specific with the exact steps to duplicate this issue? It would be helpful to know what controls you are using.
Viewing the source code will be helpful in your troubleshooting. You'll also want to review your IIS logs to see what error are popping up there. It could be that the gifs are being searched for in another location. You may need to make a copy of the crystalreportviewerxx directory in a new location.

  • Issues with transaction isolation levels (BEA-631 exceptions)

My intended EJB application will have a session bean that uses two very similar entity beans that will be mapped to different databases; in my test version the entity beans use the same database.
The final application will need XA transactions with isolation=serializable (beans may be in Oracle, DB2, or MSSQL databases); high probability of concurrent potentially interfering transactions.
My test example works (Windows XP, WebLogic 8.1, Oracle 9.2) with both BEA's Oracle driver, and the Oracle driver but only when I set a transaction isolation on the session bean as the Oracle specific "transactionreadcommitedforupdate".
If I try using "transactionserializable", I get an exception like the following when my session-bean first tries to find an entity bean:
    <2/09/2005 10:13:43 AM EST> <Warning> <Common> <BEA-000631> <Unknown resource "weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.ConnectionEnv@1f13e99" being released to pool "BEAOraclePool". Printing out current pool contents.>
    (similar response with both drivers).
Please could someone explain what is wrong and why setting isolation serializable causes problems. How
    should I fix things?

Hi. What version of 8.1 is this?
If you can easily reproduce this
we may either have a fix, or will
    want to debug this.

    Neil Gray wrote:
The bit about "cleaning up vendor connections" was from the comment by Imeshev that was earlier in this thread.
    The context:
Application does involve possibility of two concurrent transactions trying to change the same row of a datatable; as isolation level is repeatableread or serializable, this will result in some exceptions. Sometimes exceptions handled ok, sometimes they cause problems.
Particular case illustrated below is when working with DB2. As I understand it, the two concurrent EJBs both make read requests (presumably acquiring read locks) then make update requests - if they happen to share a row this will block. I don't know enough about DB2 to know what controls its detection of problems. In practice I see db2 typically sending back an error to one of requestors in less than 1 second, but sometimes several seconds may elapse before the error response gets sent (I have observ
    ed actual net traffic).
If transaction gets timed out in WebLogic (I've curently got a generous 8 second timeout setting in JTA tab) then there are problems.
First of two exceptions shown here is for normal case where db2 returned an error and it was handled ok:

Once start getting those things released to pool the application falls apart. Shortly afterwards it loses all connections to DB2 (and DB2 may be left with some locks on the table that have to be cleared).
It isn't DB2 specific, if needed I can supply similar data for MSSQL server (BEA or MS drivers)

  • Issue with Period Control 03 for Depri key MSTL with 6446

    Hi Gurus,
We want to use mid-month calculation for Dep. key MSTL using period control 03 (i.e. 03/03/03/03). We are also using 6446 as year-depedent Fiscal year (i.e. Jan and Dec 6 weeks other rest 4 weeks).  period control 03 is pro rata at mid period
    period 12 for 2009 start 11/14/09 ends 12/25/09
    period 1 for 2010 start   12/26/09 ends 02/05/10
as per period control 03 mid month is Dec-04-2009 (setup in OAVH)
When i acquire an asset on Dec-04-09, the dep start date is Nov-14-09 which is correct and all calculation is correct
however when i acquire an asset on Dec-06-09 the dep start date is still Nov-14-09 which is not correct infact it should start dep from next month which will be Dec-26-09 (This is 1st period of Fiscal year 2010)
As mentioned above we are using 6-4-4-6 fiscal year
When acquiring an asset with mid month concept at year end we are facing problem in depri start date and hence calculation.
The setting in OAVH for period control 03 are as below
FV   Period Control     Desc.                             Year   Month   Day    Period    MidMonth
    NL        03              Pro rata at mid period          2009    12        4         12           ticked
    NL        03              Pro rata at mid period          2009    12        25       12           ticked
    NL        03              Pro rata at mid period          2009    12        31        1            ticked
    NL        03              Pro rata at mid period          2010    1          15        1            ticked
    Thanks in advance

    Deepak,
Your period 12/2009 starts and ends between 11/14/09 ends 12/25/09. Now you acquire an asset on 12/4/2009. As per OAVH, you want depreciation calculation start mid-period. Then how is depreciation start date of Nov 14, 2009 for this case?
Then you acquire an asset on Dec6, 2009. This, as per OAVH, falls into period 12/2009. Then why should the calculation start from period 1/2010 for this case?
    Thanks,
    Asheesh

  • PrintSetup/Preview issue with WebBrowser control in 64bit applications

The WebBrowser Control appeared to be working well in a 64-bit VB.Net application I've been developing, until I looked more closely at what was happening when using the ShowPrintSetupDialog and ShowPrintPreviewDialog members. If I opened the print setup
dialog and changed the page size from A4 to 8.5 x 11, clicked ok, and then either reopened the page setup dialog or accessed it through the print preview dialog, the page size had returned to A4 and had not retained the 8.5 x 11 setting. However, if I rebuild
the application as 32-bit the changed setting is correctly retained. The code is being developed using Visual Studio 2012 Express running as administrator under 64-bit Windows 8.1 with 64bit Internet Explorer 11 installed as standard. Does anyone
know how to overcome this problem so users can confidently change the page size in a wholly 64-bit application and print via the WebBrowser control? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I suppose you are using these methods WebBrowser.ShowPrintPreviewDialog Method and
    WebBrowser.ShowPageSetupDialog Method.
Both methods show the below. Although why it would work 32 and not 64 is unknown to me.
    .NET Framework Security
    SecurityPermission
    for immediate callers to use this control. Demand value: LinkDemand;
    Named Permission Sets:
    FullTrust.
    PrintingPermission
to access the printer through this method. Demand value: Demand. Associated enumeration:
    DefaultPrinting.

  • Problem with transaction control - URGENT

I have a requirement to use a PL/SQL package to validate data that is created by my OAF application.
    My process is as follows:
    1. User enters data and clicks save (Submit action)
    2. Controller captures save event and invokes "Apply" in AM
    3. Apply method calls getTransaction.postChanges()
    4. Apply method then executes PL/SQL block and gets the results of validation (Validation function does not do any DML on the data)
    5. if validation is ok then I commit (This bit works fine)
    6. if validation fails then I just stop processing and let the page reload ( I am not forwarding to processrequest)
    7. User corrects the error and clicks save again
I have tried step 6 with throwing OAException and not throwing OAException and in both scenarios at step 7 I receive the following:
Unable to perform transaction on the record. \nCause: The record has been deleted by another user. \nAction: Cancel the transaction and re-query the records to get the new data.
Please help I have been working with this for a day now and I am no closer to solving the problem. This error occurs when I try to postChanges for the second time in step 7.

    Hi Pratap,
My requirement is to use a PL/SQL package to validate the data and provide feedback to the user. I am using a callable statement to select the data from the base tables and validate it based on the data I enter in my OAF application.
I know that we can do validation in OAF EO, entity expert etc.. but the business requirement is to have a central re-usable validation platform so that it can be used for the application and data migration, PL/SQL API's etc... We dont want to write the validation logic in OAF and PL/SQL is the objective.
So we have the validation in PL/SQL which just returns a message about any errors, I call this from my header EO validate() method.
For it to work however the data has to be available to the PL/SQL before I hit commit in OAF (which fires validation), to do this I call trx.postChanges prior to commit which makes the data available. If the data is valid then there is no problem the data saves ok.
If the data is invalid I correct the error and try the process again, when it hits postChanges for a second time after the correction it gives me the error.
I have simplified the test case as per my post above and it seems that I cannot use postChanges more than once in the same transaction, I am wondering if the VO cache is being deleted in the same way as you have to re-query after a commit() you may have to do the same thing after a post(), only question is will I get my posted data back?
    Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.
Thanks for your help so far
    Keith

  • Issue with Transaction Attribute

    Hi All
I am trying to build a program that will interact with two database at the same time.Lets say, I am getting/updating/inserting data from/to Database1.table1 so I am creating transaction attribute for the same to commit and roll back the changes.
Now, after the above scenario I need to update my audit trail table in database2 but since I have already created transaction for the above database it not allowing me to connect to database2 saying "Connection already exit for database1 cannot create new transaction for Database2".
Also if I tried to create a new transaction for Database2 its passing me exception saying "A transaction is already running for the thread cannot create new transaction for the same thread".
I tried calling a new thread also but the exception remains as the new thread is called from the main thread.
Please help me in same so that i can create two transaction or connection to two database using same transaction.

    user12882304 wrote:
... connection to two database using same transaction. Not possible.
You are attempting something with a JDBC driver that the driver does not support.
Your first step is to research distributed transactions.
For this to actually work the database itself must support it. And you must use the correct idiom to invoke it.

  • Issues with Silverlight controls -Parent child hierarchy

    Hi,
I have came across below issues several times for Silverlight controls.
From CodedUi Test builder(recording window), if we navigate upward(move to parent control) it shows correct hierarchy of Child ->Parent.
    For eg; DateItem(child) ->Row(parent).
But I come from top to bottom(move to child control), then Row control does not have any child. So codedUI does not find child object during execution.
How to handle this issue for execution?
    Regards,
    Gaurav

    Hi Gaurav,
    >> But I come from top to bottom(move to child control), then Row control does not have any child. So codedUI does not find child object during execution.
Do you use a Silverlight DataGrid Control? Could you share us a screen shoot about your UI and the error details?
In my option, this issue is caused by the hierarchy of the DataGird. The link below might be useful to you:
    # Test Automation for Silverlight DataGrid in Coded UI Test
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/tapas_sahoos_blog/archive/2011/05/10/test-automation-for-silverlight-datagrid-in-coded-ui-test.aspx
I think you could try to set a unique automation property for the DataItem for Testing. You could turn to the link below:
    # Set a Unique Automation Property for Silverlight Controls for Testing
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg413373.aspx#Datagrids
It would be helpful if you could share us the error details and your UI.
