Issues recording with internal and external mics -  blip blip noises

soon as a click record it begins to record my voice but it also makes these audable "blip blip" noises every second which come through the speakers and then recorded in the track. i can record with audacity fine. i have checked the tracks properties and removed any filters but this still happens.. this happened awhile back and since then the machine has been formated so a new install has already occurred.

  • Raid 0 With Internal And External Different Size Drives??

So I want to setup a raid 0 with my computer setup but have some questions.
    I have 3 external drives, 500GB, 2TB, and 1TB.
Can I partition the 2TB and 1TB and use the 500GB partition I make on each drive for the raid, so all 3 are 500GB?
Can I also partiton my 1TB internal hard drive in half and use the new partition in the Raid?
Am I going about the best way to set this up or will this not even work in the first place?
Thanks for any info and helping!!

So basically I setup my iMacs drive and my external 1TB drive as a raid 1 and it will write the data to both drives at the same time right?
    Correct.
Will this slow anything down at all?
    Yes.
I gave up on TM myself.

  • Alternative Access Mappings (AAM) issue accessing from internal and external URL's

    Hi,
We have SharePoint 2010 with couple site collections. Our farm has following URLs (AAM):
    For internal access:
    intranet.company.local - all sites,
    mysite.company.local   - my sites.
    For external access:
    extranet.company.com - all sites,
    mysite.company.com   - my sites.
Then we access extranet.company.com using domain credentials on some sites we get authentication request for mysite.company.local. This is because we use some web parts that reference to My Sites.
But why we are asked credentials for mysite.company.local and not for mysite.company.com
if we access extranet.company.com, how this can be changed?
    Thanks

I am looking to find out what the differences are with Internal and External Reconciliations.
I am not sure if I need to use Internal or External when doing Manual Reconciliations in banking.
    Thanks!
    Dayna

I am trying to figure out how to use the bank reconciliation process. I keep seeing reference to an "expert sesion" and a link to it.  However I get an Access Denied message when I try the link.
Help. ? If this "expert session" is on the Partner Portal, how are we lowly Customer to get it?
"External reconciliation is used for bank reconciliation , however when you go in detail , you have to use internal reconciliation for Business partner and Vendor .

  • DNS records to be created for Lync deployment (Internal and External)

    Hi There,
If I want the Lync server environment to work Internal as well from External in all the aspects. (auto-discover, meetings, AV conferencing, web conferencing, voice integration, mobility etc), please answer to the below questions and also their purpose please.
I'm not sure whether the answer varies for 2010 and 2013 version.
    1. What are the Internal and External(public) DNS records to be created for the reverse proxy(assume i'm using TMG servers), and their purpose?
    2. What are the Internal and External(public) DNS records to be created for Lync Edge server, and their purpose?

I'll try to answer as well.
    1) For the reverse proxy, you'll need to publish the following:
    External:
lyncdiscover.sipdomain.com (You'll need this record for every sip domain you have).  This is for client autodiscover.
external web services FQDN (You'll need one of these per pool, you get to choose the name).  This is for address book downloads, web conferencing, etc.
Meet.sipdomain.com (You can choose the name here, and have one per sip domain or one for the whole org).  This is for web conferencing.
Dialin.sipdomain.com (You'll just need one here, it doesn't have to be dialin).  This is for changing your conferencing/phone pin, resetting conference info, and general conferencing info.
For Lync 2013 only, you may want the Office Web Application server pool name as well for PowerPoint sharing.  Lync 2010 doesn't use this.
    Internal:
The external web services FQDN.  You'll need this available internally through the reverse proxy so you can redirect requests on port 443 to port 4443.  This will be used for mobile devices on WiFi.
    2) For the Edge server:
    Externally:
sip.sipdomain.com (you'll need one per sip domain) this is an autodiscover/multi use FQDN and should point to your access edge IP.
webedge.sipdomain.com (edge web conferencing, you can pick any name you like).
avedge.sipdomain.com (av edge, you can pick any name you like).
accessedge.sipdomain.com (you'll need a name for the access edge role, however you can just use sip.sipdomain.com and save a name in your certificate request).
    Internally:
edgepool.sipdomain.com (you can pick any name you want, it's just the name assigned to the internal edge interface.
If you choose to have a single ip for the external edge, you can get away with just an access edge name and/or sip.sipdomain.com

  • Cisco ISE with both internal and External RADIUS Server

    Hi
I have ISE 1.2 , I configured it as management monitor and PSN and it work fine
I would like to know if I can integrate an external radius server and work with both internal and External RADIUS Server simultanously
So some computer (groupe_A in active directory ) will continu to made radius authentication on the ISE internal radius and other computer (groupe_B in active directory) will made radius authentication on an external radius server
I will like to know if it is possible to configure it and how I can do it ?
Thanks in advance for your help
    Regards
    Blaise

Cisco ISE can function both as a RADIUS server and as a RADIUS proxy server. When it acts as a proxy server, Cisco ISE receives authentication and accounting requests from the network access server (NAS) and forwards them to the external RADIUS server. Cisco ISE accepts the results of the requests and returns them to the NAS.
Cisco ISE can simultaneously act as a proxy server to multiple external RADIUS servers. You can use the external RADIUS servers that you configure here in RADIUS server sequences. The External RADIUS Server page lists all the external RADIUS servers that you have defined in Cisco ISE. You can use the filter option to search for specific RADIUS servers based on the name or description, or both. In both simple and rule-based authentication policies, you can use the RADIUS server sequences to proxy the requests to a RADIUS server.
The RADIUS server sequence strips the domain name from the RADIUS-Username attribute for RADIUS authentications. This domain stripping is not applicable for EAP authentications, which use the EAP-Identity attribute. The RADIUS proxy server obtains the username from the RADIUS-Username attribute and strips it from the character that you specify when you configure the RADIUS server sequence. For EAP authentications, the RADIUS proxy server obtains the username from the EAP-Identity attribute. EAP authentications that use the RADIUS server sequence will succeed only if the EAP-Identity and RADIUS-Username values are the same.

  • SiteMinder integration with the internal and external facing portals

    Hi ,
We are in development phase for SiteMinder integration with the internal and external facing portals. The proposed dual authentication scheme which requires both SiteMinder for External facing portal (EFP) and LDAP for Internal portal .is it possible?
and is it possible to main to diff LDAP directories one is external users and one is for internal users.?
If you maintain  2 diff(external & internal) LDAP Directories in Siteminder Policy Server  what about  external users which are  not exit in portal data source .
I appreciate if anyone  can help me for my above query .
    Regards
    Tag

    Hey Tag,
We do have a physical external Portal and a physical internal portal.  The both the external and internal are connected to 2 LDAP directories.
For example the External Portal is connected to the Employee LDAP Direcotry and the Customer LDAP Directory.  The Internal Portal is connected to the US Employee LDAP Direcotry and the EMEA LDAP Directory.
So each one of them is connected to 2 different LDAP Directories.
I believe that the Siteminder Policy is setup such that the Internal portal has a policy and the External portal has a seperate policy on the same Siteminder Server.  Then each of the Policies is configured to connect to the approiate LDAP Directories.
You have to maintain the LDAP Directory information in both the portal and Siteminder Policy Server.  It is required in the policy server so that it can authenticate the user and it is required in the Portal server so that it can authorize the user and display content based on thier assigned roles.
    Hope that helps.

    Keith

  • ILife with both internal and external hard drives?

I've been considering switching from a homebrew, multi-boot desktop to a MacBook for my primary computer, in part so I can hang out with my family in the living room rather than be exiled to the home office when I want to compute.
But here's my concern: I have media. We have about 50 GB of iTunes; maybe 30 GB of iPhoto; and tons and tons of digital video that would be stored in iMovie. Obviously the libraries are all interlinked. And it's all growing. I also like to rip DVDs and re-encode them for my iPod and AppleTV. Right now, my desktop has 480 GB of internal storage and that's just about enough.
I have discovered that the MacBook only comes with an option up to 250 GB. I absolutely need AppleCare, so I can't get an aftermarket hard drive. (All my Macs break - this one from the office that I'm on right now has a bum DVD drive, and my wife's has needed both fan and logic board replacements.)
While I'm aware of the existence of external hard drives, I'm concerned about Apple's non-external-hard-drive-friendly way of storing iLife data. If I wanted to keep more recent or useful music and photos on the internal drive but older stuff on an external, and still be able to use iLife seamlessly, would that be possible? (I see myself editing recent video in the living room, but then hooking back into the external HD in the office if I need older stuff.)
What solutions are out there for integrating data stores on both internal and external hard drives into an iLifestyle?
    Thanks!

.. What solutions are out there for integrating data stores on both internal and external hard drives into an iLifestyle?
all iApps (iPhoto, iTunes, iM08) support usage of external drives as 'mass storage' devices.. you can tell all apps which drive to use for the Libraries.. there some tools out there, which even allow the usage of 2/many different Libraries in iTunes/iPhoto..
for iM in detail: the Projects are small files, and should stay internal (allthough I'm discribing a 'hack' on my site: http://karsten.schluter.googlepages.com/im08tricks Project Library (and Events) on External Harddrive); the Events (=GBs) could be located on as much ext. HDDs as you want..
    but ...
all iApps are single-user .. you can NOT 'share' Libraries to 2/many different users; the idea of a 'media server' which hosts/shares all kind of data to all kind of users is not 'on concept' of iLife ..

  • Non-Web Server Publishing Rule for Internal and External

    Hi there,
I have a problem with my TMG and publishing SSH for Internal and External users to an internal Server.
    Network:
    Internal Network
    SSH Server, 10.10.10.25
Internal DNS record "ssh.domain.com" pointing to 10.10.10.254
    TMG Server, 10.10.10.254/192.168.0.254
    External Network
External DNS record "ssh.domain.com pointing to 192.168.0.254
I want my users (internal AND external) using their SSH client to connect to ssh.domain.com and TMG to forward the request to the SSH server. Note that internal clients and the SSH server are in the same network.
I have created a custom "SSH Server" protocol with inbound TCP for port 22 and created a Non-Web Server publishing rule.
    Traffic Tab: SSH Server Protocol
    From Tab: Internal, External
    To Tab: 10.10.10.25, original client
    Networks Tabs: Internal, External
External users cann connect without a problem, all fine here. Internal users get a timout. The TMG Log says: Denied Connection (Default Rule,
The policy rules do not allow the user request) and doesn´t recognize this is an inbound request. The log gives me dest IP 10.10.10.254 and protocol SSH and not 10.10.10.25 and SSH Server.
I read a lot of networking rules and NAT/Routing, tried a bit but never got a success.
Can you help me fix or working around this and tell me whats going on there and if there a limitations in TMG I don´t know yet?
    Regards,
    Sascha

    Hi,
According to your description, it seems that request was denied by the TMG rules so the request from the internal users
could not be forwarded to the SSH server. I would appreciate it if you can post the logs to us and the results of running ipconfig/all on the TMG server.
In addition, maybe you can change the firewall policy only from
External and add another firewall policy for the internal user to see if the issue persists.

  • Delivery report shows status of Pending for external address. Email sent to both internal and external addresses.

We have an Exchange 2013 on-premise server and seem to have an issue with emails sent to internal and external users at the same time.
The issue came to light because someone sent an email to 44 recipients, of which one was internal. None of the external recipients received the email. I checked the delivery report in the EAC and found the internal email marked as 'Delivered' and all of
the external ones marked as 'Pending'. I checked the queues and there were none. I did some testing and sent an email to just one of the external addresses on the list, it arrived. I tried sending the email again to all of the recipients, the external ones
all showed 'Pending'. I tried it again, but this time excluded the internal email address and all of the 43 external emails were immediately delivered.
So it seems that the issue only arises when we are sending to both internal and external addresses.
I then tried a test email to one internal address and one external address. The Delivery report says that the internal address was delivered immediately, while the external address is 'Pending' and gives more information saying: 'Message delivery is taking
longer than expected. There may be system delays. For more information, contact your helpdesk.'. To add further mystery to this, the email was actually delivered.
    So, I have two concerns:
First is seems that some emails sent both internally and externally are only arriving internally. This is a huge problem because I don't know how many have been affected. There may be many lost emails we don't know about.
Second, it looks like I can't trust the delivery report. It says pending for some emails which didn't arrive, but it also says pending for some which did arrive. That is no good at all.
For info the server is running Windows Server 2012. I have run a Microsoft Update to check if there are any to apply and the only Exchange one is a spam filter update, which I doubt has any bearing but I will apply when I get chance.

    Hi Neil,
According to the description, I find a related KB on Exchange 2010:
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2694474?wa=wsignin1.0
It has the similar situation as yours.
This issue occurs because a function in a message tracking component tries to obtain the information for the recipient instead of the external recipient.
Please try to upgrade to the latest Exchange update to check whether this issue can be solved.
Also please check whether Throttling has been set.
Please run "Get-TransportService | fl" to check the MaxOutboundConnections parameter value.

  • I have lost all audio on both my internal and external speakers.

I have lost audio on both my internal and external speakers.  I have checked the System Preferences when my external speakers are plugged in it is acknowledged.  When using internal speakers they are also acknowledged.  Sound volume on Preferences is on and fully high.  The sound buttons on the keyboard  do not work and the sound level is now locked in at full sound and cannot be adjusted using the keys.  The System Preferences shows that Mute is now checked and I cannot uncheck it.  What should I do to get my sound back both internally and externally?

    Repair permissions & restart.
Check your settings in the Audio Midi app which is located in the Utilities folder.

Quit out of the GarageBand app.
    =====================
    Repairing the mysteriously muted Mac
The background on the issue is that there’s a small sensor switch inside the headphone port. When you insert a headphone jack, the sensor understands what's what and changes the sound output setting to Headphones. If you insert a jack for digital audio output, the device changes to Digital Out. When you remove the jack completely, it should read Internal Speakers.
The spirits tell me that there’s a very good chance that you recently had something jacked into this port—a set of headphones or a cable leading to powered speakers, for example. When you removed the jack, something in the port prevented the sensor from tripping correctly. That’s why you see Digital Out instead of internal Speakers.
The solution is to force the sensor to do its job. The safest way to do that is to simply run a jack in and out of the port a few times. Much of the time, this takes care of the problem by correctly tripping the sensor. If that doesn’t work, there may be gunk in the port. Before turning to more invasive techniques, get a can of compressed air, attach the small tube that fits the nozzle, and blast a few shots of air into the port. With any luck, that should dislodge the gunk and the port will operate as it should.
If that doesn’t work, find a foam-tipped swab that fits (electronics shops generally carry them), dip it in rubbing alcohol, and gently insert it into the headphone port in an attempt to wipe away any stubborn gunk. I recommend foam rather than cotton swabs because the cotton variety might leave threads behind. (This same technique works well with misbehaving headphone ports on devices such as iOS devices.)
It's possible that gunk has nothing to do with it. Rather, it may be that the switch just needs a subtle nudge. If a jack or swab doesn't work, I've heard of people successfully resetting it with a deft poke of a toothpick.

  • Internal and External application tier File move

    Hi all,
I am new oracle apps R12 with 3 tier instance.
We are created the oracle apps R12 instance with 3 tier. Two tier is Application tier and one tier is Database tier.
The data base tier is common for both application tier. The issue is, we are moved the all customized Development works into only one application tier (i.e. Internal tier). So we are not moved the all customized Development work into second application tier (i.e. External tier).
My question is, we are not moving all customized work into both application tier means , is there any issue will occur ?
How can we handle my customized works both application tiers( i.e. Internal and external tiers) ?
    Please help,
    Thanks,

  • WLC Internal and External DHCP

I am currently using the Internal DHCP component within my 5508 Controller with software version 7.0.166.0.  This seems to be working fine as the Vlan Routed interface connected to it via the Dynamic Trunk Port is functioning as l have the ip-helper command setup on this specific vlan interface..
My issue now is that we have a isolated ADSL Network which is configured off our Core 6513 but just as a Layer 2 Vlan so no traffic can be routed to other vlans.
With our new WIFI environment which consists of the 5508 Controller and numerous 3502 AP's we wont to utilize this ADSL vlan with our new WIFI environment..  This ADSL Vlan has a dedicated Linksys Router which is currently running DHCP and assigning addresses to clients at the moment..
What l want to do is configure the 5508 controller to use this ADSL vlan aswell but to also keep using the Linksys Router aswell for DHCP..
I have setup a new dynamic interface and added the ADSL Vlan ID to the Trunk port of the 5508 and also setup its own SSID.  But for some reason l cannot get both the internal and External DHCP servers to work at the same time ?  If l enable DHCP Proxy option on the 5508 the internal DHCP server works and when l disable DHCP Proxy the ADSL Vlan DHCP works through the 5508 but not the internal DHCP Server ??
Can l get both the internal and external DHCP servers to work in harmony or should l be focusing on using one method over the other ?

Hey Scott l have just tried configuring another scope for the L2 Vlan but it doesn't seem to be working when l add the ip address of the management interface which is the internal DHCP Server to the dynamic interface of this adsl network l have setup l dont seem to get a ip address within this scope ?
I am just wandering seeing it is just a L2 vlan without a routed interface would this be the problem and would need to set this up with the "ip helper-address" of the management interface ?
    Cheers SG

  • Backup internal and external hard drives-TC and offsite

I now have Mavericks 10.9.3 on my iMac with a 2TB (1.25 TB used) internal hard drive.
I also have some external drives attached to my iMac with older iPhoto libraries and other files (total file sizes 940 GB and 505 GB).  I primarily use Aperture now on my internal hard drive, but still access those iPhoto libraries on my external drives on occasion.  I have Time Machine backup my iMac internal hard drive on my 2TB Time Capsule regularly.
My primary question is in regards to getting another copy onto a larger external drive that covers my internal and external drives so I can have a backup off-site.  Online backup services seem to always exclude external drives.  So a physical drive I can have offsite seems to be the best option.
A year ago I changed the destination of my Time Machine backup to be on a 3TB external drive (backed up iMac internal hard drive and the two externals).  However, when I changed the destination of the backup back to the Time Capsule, the TM initiated a brand new backup (it did not recall that I had backed up prior to that on my Time Capsule).
I want to backup monthly, if not quarterly for my off-site storage.  But, if every time I change the destination drive for TM, a new backup profile is created, it will overwork my drives unnecessarily.
Is there a backup program or a process on "disk utility" I could run parallel to TM that I just use quarterly capturing only the changes/additions in those few months for both the internal and external hard drives?  Also, is there a way to add an external drive to my Time Capsule that is solely used to wirelessly backup the two externals on a regular basis (i.e. keep the internal 2TB drive backing up to the Time Capsule; and the external hard drive attached to Time Capsule via USB used as the backup drive for the external hard drives)?
Summary:  I need to backup regularly to the local Time Capsule/additional external hard drive.  The data will come from my internal hard drive and my two external hard drives.  I also want to do quarterly backups of the additions/changes to all three drives to have on an offsite external drive that I manually backup to quarterly.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Carbon Copy Cloner is not on the App store.
Correct.. it is not approved because Apple do not like the fact that CCC (and most likely superduper) which are the most popular backup software for Mac because it makes a bootable clone. Apple will never approve of that. But let me assure you that is the genius of it. If the internal disk fails, you simply boot from the external. It is $40 but you can use on all the computers in your home.
CCC is a clone.. ie when it does the backup, any changes on the drive are changed on the clone. It does not work like Time Machine which simply piles up incrementals until the drive fills up. The idea of CCC is a backup of the drive as it exists at any point in time. TM btw is also not a reliable archive, ie it thins backups constantly.. so you should never rely on it to archive old versions.. but in the middle of a project it does a good job to keep various versions of your files. That is why I specifically said in my last post do not stop using it.
and you can keep using the TC just for the internal drive.
Keep TM running to the TC.. that will then keep a current hourly incremental of your drive. You can set CCC in a way which is a lot more flexible. ie backup just at the end of the day. There is no need for constant hourly backups. So to answer the second question.. you are still using your TC and TM.. but I suggest you only backup the internal drive.
Please read a bit from forum expert Pondini on the value of clones and TM.
    http://pondini.org/TM/Clones.html
That's why many folks use both Time Machine and a bootable clone, to have two separate, independent backups, with the advantages of both.  If one fails, the other remains.
    Now the ports issue.
You can of course continue to use USB2. Just that moving large volumes around will be slow.. as doubtless you already know.
On your particular Mac since you missed out on USB3 which is a pain.. you can buy a Thunderbolt to USB3 adapter like the belkin.
    http://www.belkin.com/au/p/P-F4U055/
I suggested the Thunderbolt to Esata (it is an older interface and the adapter is rather cheaper but I hear more reliable.. check reviews for both).
    http://store.apple.com/au/product/H8875ZM/A/lacie-esata-hub-thunderbolt-series
Sata is the interface of the hard disk.. Esata just means external sata.. so it is native and without conversion.
I was merely suggesting ways to speed things up. But as long as you don't run CCC on more than daily basis then I think you will be fine just with USB 2. It will take a while on the day you do the swap over for the archive volume, but if you turn off the power saving in the Mac and leave it run overnight it should be able to do most of it.. you need to realise it will have to deep scan both the disks.. to compare files.. but CCC is based on Rsync and it is extremely fast and efficient. I am just not sure I know how long it will take to do. Anyway.. there is a plan.. tweak and adapt as you see fits your needs.
