Issues with FTP adapter

Hello,
I m facing issues using the FTP adapter. I am using 10.1.3.1 standalone installed in my desktop.
1) The FTP adapter doesnt poll continuously for the files. It dies off as soon the folder is empty. If there are incoming files after sometime, the BPEL process fails to pick them. I created an empty BPEL process that has a recieve activity from an FTP adapter as partner link
2) The files are fetched and deleted but are never archived, despite setting the archive files. Can we not archive those files in another folder of same FTP server ?
3) Sometimes, the files are deleted, but there is no activity or process shown in the BPEL console.
Can you please help me with these issues

Are you able to upgrade to 10.1.3.3. A lot of issues with adapters are solved in this release.

Issue with FTP Adapter ListFiles files with spaces in the filename

I have an FTP adapter that does a ListFiles of all the files in a directory. It comes back and everything works fine however it removes all spaces from the filename meaning when I do the GET afterwards this fails as it is a different filename.
The filename is a0eQ0000000wJVdIAM~1~ technote316.TIF note the space between ~ and technote.
When a ListFiles is done I get the following request response in BPEL execution:

I'm guessing its some use of the jca.message.encoding I can't find anything that really explains this though. Just the http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10231/adptr_propertys.htm link.

Hi PG,
Is your private file in the form of Java Keystore (.jks)? I had used .ppk file and it was a success.
If it is .jks in your case, try using the same password for private key as of keystore file (.jks). I hope you're not supplying any PASSWORD in the Adapter properties.

JCA Binding error with FTP Adapter on put operation

I am facing a problem with put operation with ftp adapter. my soa service will get file from the 1st ftp server (Unix) as attachment and is putting the file on another ftp serve(Unix)r. the put operation is failing with the below error:-

this is a SFTP server and the corressponding property is set to true on the configuration. I had also recreated the jndi again & also increased the max connections to 700, but still facing the same issue. Also i am able to ftp the files to this location through filezilla. Problem with FTP Adapter in creating a new Folder

Hi all,
I have a requirement in which a BPEL process shud create a folder named as sysdate dynamically and write a
CSV file into that.(ex: PO/2010-03-09/PO_1.csv).I created a header variable for Oubound FTP adapter and
passing the file directory as concat('PO/',xp20:current-date(),'/') to outbound header directory variable.Problem is FTP
adapter is not creating the sysdate folder its says:1.check u have privileges 2.file name is too long....Blah....Blah.
But i have all the privileges for that user.If i manually create the sysdate folder the FTP adapter is placing the CSV
file.The same works fine with file adapter...but i need to use FTP since the FTP server can change in future.Seems to
be a problem with FTP adapter....can some one help.

Issue with Apps adapter for Create_Cust_Account API

I need to invoke this package from apps adapter in BPEL(10.1.3.5).
Create Customer: HZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_V2PUB. create_cust_account. This is a Over loaded procedure. Look for the Procedure with these Parameters.

An error occurred while running Jpublisher.missing method
· I’ve tried with Database adapter. But in the runtime I’m not able to pass oracle apps initialization parameter in spite of using transaction and idempotent property in partnerlink.
· Then I’ve tried to invoke fnd_global.apps_initialize first then call the package from database adapter, but it fails again, apparently its not able to execute both DBadapter in same database session although they are in same BPEL transaction.
When I’m passing the initialization parameters in adapter created wrapper procedure then its working fine and customer got created.
Please let me know where I’m going wrong or issue with apps adapter.

I'm able to execute the BPEL flows using DB adapter in same session and customer got created.
But I'm wondering why I cant invoke the API using Apps adapter though its standard one.
wsdl file is not getting generated as the adapter wizard not get completed.
Do u have any idea why its giving ' error occurred while running Jpublisher.missing method' error?should I conclude that apps adapter does not support overloaded procedure.

File Matching with FTP Adapter

Guys,
I have particular requirement where FTP Adapter needs to read set of files
FILENAME.PCL
FILENAME.I01
the file name would be matching but extensions are different.
the adapter needs to read the file match if they are SET of files ( based on file name) and move into target directory if not move into Error Directory .The Data needs some manipulation before it's written into target location so we are using ESB ( also for error notification) is it possible with FTP Adapter within ESB?

Problem in CC with FTPS Adapter

Hello everyone,
I try to connect with a partner with FTPS Adapter, I load the certificate from server and have the next error:
Error occurred while connecting to the FTP server "server:21": iaik.security.ssl.SSLException: Error decoding Certificate: java.security.cert.CertificateException: iaik.asn1.CodingException: ASN.1 creation error: iaik.asn1.CodingException: ASN.1 creation error: iaik.asn1.CodingException: ASN.1 creation error: iaik.asn1.CodingException: ASN.1 creation error: iaik.asn1.CodingException: ASN.1 creation error: iaik.asn1.CodingException: ASN.1 creation error: iaik.asn1.CodingException: Too long integer in ASN.1 type Enumerated, length=8
I try too with a certificate created in XI in the Visual Administrator, but don't work, the error is the same.
The channel is in Sender mode.
Somebody help me please with this problem?

Issue with DB Adapter involving multiple tables

Am facing an issue with DB Adapter with multiple tables. Here are the details.
I have 4 tables. Header, Details,Products and Devices. The relationship is defined as follows:
Header has 1:M relationship with Details.
Details has 1:M relationship with Products.
Products has 1:M relationship with Devices.
I want to select the details from all the tables for a particular header_id and detail_id. Defined 2 parameters and query is created with parameters.

I expect the DB Adapter to retrieve the records for the parameters passed. i.e only those records from details table which matches with the parameter I passes in (t1.EDF_SERIAL_TYPE = #prod_type) . But I see that the DB Adapter retrieves all records from the details table for a particular unique_sequence_number(unique_sequence_number is primary key for headers table and foreign key for details table). Could you pls tell me how can I retrieve only selected records from the details table?

Yes. When I run this query in DB, I get one record . While defining DB Adapter, I have imported 4 tables and also defined the relationship between the tables. In my case, column unique sequence number is primary key of headers table and foreign key of details table.The above select query is generated by the DB Adapter for the parameters I have passed in.
My data is as follows:
Headers table:
file_name uniq_seq_num
file_1.xml 220
Details table
product_id unique seq num edf_prod_type
111 220 A
112 220 B
113 220
Now, I call DB Adapter with parameters 'file_1.xml' (file_name)and 'A'(prod_type). I expect the DB adapter to retrieve only one record with product_id 111 in the detailscollection. But I see that the adapter retrieves all records from the details table without considering the value of prod_type.

Need help with a simple process with FTP Adapter and File Adapter

I am trying out a simple BPEL process that gets a file in opaque mode from a FTP server using a FTP adapter and writes it to the local file system using a File Adapter. However, the file written is always empty (zero bytes). I then tried out the FTPDebatching sample using the same FTP server JNDI name and this work fine surprisingly. I also verified by looking at the FTP server logs that my process actually does hit the FTP server and seems to list the files based on the filtering condition - but it does not issue any GET or RETR commands to actually get the files. I am suspecting that the problem could be in the Receive, Assign or Invoke activities, but I am not able identify what it is.
I can provide additional info such as the contents of my bpel and wsdl files if needed.
Would appreciate if someone can help me with this at the earliest.

TimeZone issue in FTP Adapter

Issue is:
Source (from where the file is being picked up) is on IST timezone and the weblogic managed server(where code is residing) is on GMT timezone.
When we set the "MinimumFileAge"=2 min, it waits for longer time then expected. In other words, file couldnot get picked up.
Whe we set the "MinimumFileAge"=0, it picks the file as soon as file reached to source.
What is the resolution, if i want to pick the file after 2 mins?

**We tried with setting ServerTimeZone on FTP connection pool is equal to GMT+5.30 or IST, but it couldnot worked out.

Duplicate File issue using FTP adapter - BizTalk 2010

Hi We encountered an Issue of picking Duplicate files in BizTalk 2010 from the FTP Location. Need your assistance on this.
Mainframe sends multiple files a 0 KB file to FTP and BizTalk picks during a particular service window using FTP Adapter.
Receive Location has a pipeline component which decodes the MF file(EBCDICRow format).
Send Port transmits the file which is decoded in the Receive location. There is no mapping or orchestration involved.
When 2 files are placed in FTP Location. BizTalk Transmits the files successfully
No suspended messages in BizTalk but we see below error in event log. we tried reproduce the issue but no luck.

Hi Sri,
There could be two reason for such a behavior:
1) Using Non-Clustered Hosts: It is always recommended to use the clustered host for FTP adapter. Because FTP don't allow
any locking mechanism on the files so in case of non-clustered with multiple host instances you might receive same file multiple times through different host instances.
2) If the original document is still being written to the FTP server by the host application, the FTP adapter cannot
delete the document and will retrieve another copy of the document at the next polling interval that is configured for the receive location. This behavior causes document duplication to occur.
Workaround could be:
Configure the host application to write to a temporary folder on the same hard disk as the public FTP folder and to periodically move the contents of the temporary folder
to the FTP folder. The temporary folder should be on the same hard disk as the public FTP folder to make sure that the move operation is atomic. An atomic operation is an operation that is functionally indivisible. If you write data to the public FTP folder
by using the BizTalk Server FTP adapter, you can do this by specifying a Temporary Folder property in the FTP Transport Properties dialog box when you configure a send port. If you specify a Temporary Folder property, make sure that this folder is on the same
physical disk as the public FTP folder.
Configure the FTP receive location to operate within a service window when the host application is not writing data to the FTP server. You can specify the service window
when you configure the receive location properties.

Zero byte files not transferred with FTP Adapter

All,
I am seeing that zero byte files are not being transferred using FTP Adapter (SFTP type). Is there a known bug around this? Please respond if anybody have seen this behavior and resolved this issue. I am using 10.1.3.3.0

I still have doubt if that is the case. When I tested the same from 10.1.3.3.1 windows platform and FTP being windows OS zero bytes files transferred OK. Do you think this is to do with OS or SOA version?

BPEL 10.1.2 Correlate with Ftp Adapter Header filename

How can I create correlation sets with the filename provided by the Ftp
Adapter Header??
Or if it is not straightforward ? How can I implement a workaround?
We are using the 10.1.2 version (OCS and Content Services constraints).
The idea beyond the requirement is to implement a process similar to the CorrelatedHelloWorld sample but instead of creating the correlation with the file content, we'd like to use the filename returned in the Ftp Adapter Header.
An asynch process is initiated with a filename as an input, then blocks on a receive activity with the Ftp Adapter. The process terminates when a file is polled whose filename corresponds to the one given as an input of the process.

IMHO this is not working in 10.1.2, I thought it was an issue in this release. It could be solved in 10.1.3

Should I move some files when they appear in a specific directory.
In particular, I have a SQL query that extracts the absolute file path list.
Then I move these files to another server.
How you can configure the process to periodically check the files?
