Issues with navigation bar

I am new to using iWeb. I just finished my first page and published it. When I went to visit the site the only page I see is the welcome page and there is no navigation bar. How do I get it to come up so that people can see the other pages?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. While your in the Welcome page in iWeb go to the Inspector/Page/Page pane and make sure you have both check boxes checked, Include page in navigation menu and Display navigation menu.
Can you provide the URL to the site so we can examine first hand?

EDIT: Well, finally got things to work. Needed to pay a bit more attention to detail and spent lots more time on this than I should have, but very happy with the result. I wasnt exporting "multiple files for use without frames" but once that glitch was ironed out all is well.

Yay for working menus, but a big round, "like that's clear!!" for the detail you needed to have checked. On the plus side, you probably won't ever forget this tidbit of information!

Javascript Problems with Navigation Bar

Hello,
The navigation bar created by iWeb uses Javascript. Javascript is turned off on some of the machines that will be visiting my site. Is there a way to tell iWeb to just create the navigation bar with simple html code instead of hand-jamming it into each page myself? Thanks.

Well yes, you can hide your nice navigation bar at the top of the page and create your own text based nav bar. It can look exactly the same as the other if you want it to - you can use the same text and get the same colour, so you can achieve exactly the same look as the other one that you have hidden and put it in exactly the same place. It is just that the one you create will be text based and don't forget to hyperlink your pages too.
I have never used the page template nav bars on my site as they just don't fit and most of the nav bars are at the top of the page anyway and as I have quite a few links on my site, this just does not work. It took me a long time to make my nav bar, as I did all the links individually to look like a drop down menu down the side of my site - I am glad I did though as I like the effect achieved.

Incrementing PK with Navigation Bar

Here is a quick and easy question I hope. When using the standard InfoSwing navigation bar. How would you go about incrementing a PK when the user click the new row button?
I have textfieldcontrol with the PK in it which is noneditable. I want it to populate with the next PK when the button is pressed.

You have a lot of leeway with this. One fairly common and easy approach is to use an on insert trigger on the underlying table. The trigger gets the next value from a sequence and supplies it for the insert. You can tell BC4J to forget about the primary key field. A variation on this is too supply a dummy primary key which will get replaced by the trigger when it fires. Try some experiments with a test table to get the feel of this.

DROID RAZR issues with status bar - Winamp

When i pull the status bar all the way down it is really hard to get it to stay locked. It just keeps flying back up to its normal position. Winamp is also borked

You need to install both the Winamp for Android and the latest Winamp Media Player for your PC.
Step 1::
On your Android device, download Winamp for Android.
Step 2:
When you initially launch the application you'll see a "Winamp Help" screen. Click on the "Wi-Fi Sync" button and following the onscreen instructions. If you don't see the Winamp Help screen, simply launch Winamp and from the Home screen press the Menu button (hard button), go to "Settings" and "Enable wireless sync".
Step 3:
Make sure your PC and Android phone are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Step 4:
From your PC, download & install Winamp Standard (free) or Winamp Pro (premium). Version 5.6 or later is required. Please note that Wi-Fi sync with Winamp for Android will not work with "Winamp Lite". After launching Winamp you will be prompted to "Add Media to Library" or "Import from iTunes".
Step 5:
From the Media Library tab, select "Devices" in the navigation panel (left-hand side of screen).
Step 6:
Your Android device should now be visible in the "Discovered" area of the "Devices" view. If not, click the "Discover" button. You'll also want to be sure that your device is not in sleep mode.
The "Discovered" view only indicates available devices. To sync with your device, you will first have to attach it.
Step 7:
To attach a device, double click on your device icon (or single click on the attach overlay button). This will send a pairing notification to your device.
Step 8:
After clicking "Attach", a notification will be sent from the Winamp Media Player to your Android device asking you if you would like to allow Wi-Fi pairing. Click allow.
Step 9:
Once you have selected "Allow", you should now see your device in the "Attached" area of the "Devices" view. Additionally, you will see your device name appear under the "Devices" node in navigation panel.
(Note: You only have to pair your phone once. After initial pairing, your device should automatically appear in the attached state. You may be prompted to pair again after upgrading to a newer version of Winamp for Android).
At this point your Wi-Fi set-up is complete and you are ready for wireless syncing.
Step 10:
Once your device is "Attached", mouse over the device icon and click on the "Sync" overlay button. Alternatively, you can manually drag and drop files in your "Audio" library to your device (pictured below).
You also have the option of setting up your Preferences by right-clicking on your device or by going to Options >> Preferences >> Portables >> [Device Name]. Learn more about sync preferences and settings.

Data issue with Navigational Attribute in the report

Hi Experts,
We have a report which has Material and Material Group in the report. Material Group is a navigational attribute of 0Material. We have some 31 material groups in the ODS. However, the report is diaplaying only 3 material Groups. If I use Material Group directly( not as an attribute of material) then it is displaying all the 31 material groups correctly.
We have a hierarchy which is loaded through Flat file on Material Group. We need the hierarchy to be displayed for all the material groups in the ODS. Please let me know what could be causing this issue?

Hello Kavitha,
Check if the Material Masterdata is having these Material groups. If not then load this Material masterdata and activate it.
As your query is using Material group as Navigational attribute then the data should come from this Material Masterdata.
If your Material has only 3 of th eMat Groups then report will show only 3. Better update this Material masterdata.

Issue with navigating to a popup

I created a custom button in the opportunity overview page. on click of custom button, I want to launch a screen as popup (custom component: Z_BP_CREATE, view:BP CREATE).
Below are the steps I did:
1) Created component Z_BP_CREATE and the view with required fields.
2) In te runtime repository, I added the view BP_CREATE to mainwindow.
3) I added mainwindow as the interface view in the component interface.
4) Created component usage for Z_BP_CREATE/MainWindow in the opportunity component(BT111H_OPPT).
5) I have the below code in the onclick of button:
lv_title = 'CREATE END CUSTOMER'.
lv_event = 'CREATE_POPUP_CLOSED'.
IF bpcreate_popup IS NOT BOUND.
    bpcreate_popup = comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup(

Hi,
The issue is resolved now. I had the intial value for the constant attribute gc_main_window in below code as 'MainWindow' it should be 'Z_BP_CREATE/Mainwindow'. I forgot to reference the component.

Issues with navigation menu

I hope someone out there can help me. I created a site and all of the pages I created weeks ago naturally turned the navigation text (where it says "home" or whatever) to white when selected with all the unselected pages a dull grey. This worked out well since you could tel where you were and see what other pages you could go to. But now I tried to create a new page and the default seems to be that, when selected, the new page text is a dark gray and all the other links in the navigation menu are even darker gray, which blends into my background and makes them unreadable. Why would it do this? Does anyone know of a ways to manually change the color of the navigation links when they are selected? Thanks people

I'm with you ... I'd like to know the answer to this one too ... can't see the gray against backgrounds all the time. Also, if you wanted to use the one page for reading by expanding the excerpts you can't read them because they are gray! Help please someone ....

CR XI Issue with Stacked Bar Chart

I'm hoping this question is easy.
I'm having trouble creating a stacked bar chart.
I want to do a Bar Chart which will show one "Bar" for each Priority (Priority 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) and then for each Priority divide out, by color, the Status (Submitted, Reviewing, Working, Testing....).
For example, let's say that there are 10 Priority 1 records. Of those 10, 5 have a Status of Submitted, 3 are being Reviewed and 2 are being Tested. Then the Priority 1 bar should show a count of 10 which is comprised of 3 colors which will correspond to the 3 Statuses that make up the 10 Priority 1 records.
I can't get the Stacked Bar Chart to display this correctly.
In the Chart Expert, the Data Tab says:
-- On change of: Priority - Ascending
-- Show Value(s): Count of Status
When I run the CR, it get's the Priority correct and I see the total for each Priority. But it does not then take each Bar and color code by Status.
Any ideas how to get it to do that?

Hi,
You should have in On change of field a sub group as well.
For stacked bar charts it is necessary to have a group and a sub group fields in on change of section.
Say you have the month.
no of priority1 in jan etc.

Issue with space bar

Im using Mountain Lion, and when I am typing for example something like "sportia vois " (and at the end click the space bar) the text changes to "sportif vois" and the cursor moves in front of the letter "v"...
What's going on?

I may be wrong but it sounds like an auto correct thing.

Adobe X - How to default to open with navigation bar and full screen?

Hi,
I had been using Adobe 9. But then a few weeks ago it ran into a "search" bug in which the word being searched wouldn't highlight on the page. So...I switched to Adobe X.
Here is my problem. When I open a PDF file now, it defaults to having this "Navigation Pane" open on the left (paper clip, binoculars, etc). For every document I use I have to "close" this pain (right click, select close), which then triggers this little tool on the bottom of the document to open up, which I then have to click the "Show Adobe Reader Toolbar" button to get the toolbar I need at the top of the screen. Then I need to click "fit to window length and enable scrolling."
This seems like a LOT of steps to get to where I used to be.
Any thoughts or help?

CSS/HTML issue with nav bar

Having issues with navigation/transitions

Hello everyone. After spending two days searching through tutorials, FAQs, forums etc without any luck, I'm turning to the forums with hope that I can resolve this.
I'm creating a website for work, and my boss wants the transitions to be similar to the ones on www.jpgreene.com However, I am having difficulties getting them to work right with the buttons. I consider myself a beginner to flash, especially with creating websites, as I much prefer html. Here is the AS3 I'm using for the buttons (I got it from a tutorial):

I do have the content frames labelled correctly, as well as the buttons. With the animation, I have frames 1-40 that play the animation, then frame 41 contains the content text with a stop(); action on it. Repeat for the next 41 frames for the About page, on through links. The button script starts on frame 1 on a layer by itself and continues for the duration of the file. However, when I go to test movie it just plays the whole thing over and over again, and clicking the buttons does nothing. Also, the animation is off synch after the first set.
I am at a loss as to what to do to resolve this problem. Any suggestions/recommendations are welcome, even pointing me to another thread if need be. Thanks for any help/insight you can give me!

After reading your questions and double checking, I realized that while I did have the button instances named, the words were not capitalized (home instead of Home), so I tried changing that and it works! Thanks so much for the help, even if it was a pretty dumb thing to overlook *blush* I feel so bad for taking up your time!

Issue with favorite bar

When I click on and item, such as Facebook or ebay, the item turns from grey to black but the website is not brought up. The only way I can bring it up from the favorites bar is to right clickon it and left click on "open". This started, out of the blue, a few days ago.
Any help is appreciated.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
