It is saying I need to verify the authorization on my new computer. How do I do that?

I'm trying to get my iPhone 4S to allow purchases to take place but that is not happening. I also recently got a new computer and it is authorize on the iTunes store but still wanting me to verify it. I do not know how to do that and need you help thanks!!

While it is iffy as to whether or not it will work with Windows 8, even if you had a full version you would not be able to install it. You need to acquire a special version of it along with the serial number for it. See the following:

Brian, thank so much for this info. I have been plugging along on the internet to find an answer to this puzzle before I had to go to the Apple store cuz I know it will cost some bucks to fix. I am on a starving artists income, so god love the internet cuz I finally found the solution on this link. I hope it can help others with the same problem like me. Step #1- I had the latest version of itunes on my pc originally cuz I have an ipod, but I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall the latest version. If the computer only starts in safte mode, it is highly unlikely that network functionality works.
Copy or move the ENTIRE iTunes folder (and any other personal data you want) to an external drive.

I am having the same issue too. It looks like many more people are having it as well. I called Apple Support a few times, but they use their standard naiive response: "we have never heard about this issue".
It is an issue of DHCP implementation on the Apple OS. My windows PCs and Printer are not having these issues..

It sounds to me like you may be running OSX 10.5. Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
If you are running OSX 10.5 you will have to upgrade to 10.6 by buying a Snow Leopard DVD from Apple phone sales.

Transfer them to your new 5s from where?
If from another iPhone, iPad or Mac and you only want to transfer contacts you can use iCloud to sync them. It can be done by going to Settings > iCloud and turning Contacts on in that screen. The contacts will then sync to https://www.icloud.com and you can then go to Settings > iCloud on the new phone and turn Contacts on there.
