  • How can i fix my iphone 3gs when i have network issues after updating to IOS 6.1.3 and avoid the connect to ITunes screen?

Im an owner of an Iphone 3gs.
When I updated my software to IOS 6.1.3 I started having network issues such as my phone would go on searching, it would search for signal and then No service after few minutes it would restart and when its on again it would show me Connect To Itunes screen, I tried connecting but nothing happens and if I just leave it as it is it will just keep on restarting and showing the same screen sometimes I might get lucky and the phone will start working again but No Service and if I turn on my 3G for the times Im outdoors it will just restart again so 3G is also another problem I have got. Today I decided to take it to an Apple Store, the guy restored it and now what happens is that it switches on and is showing me the connect to Itunes message but with black backround and i cant do anything it keeps on restarting and showing the same thing. Please if there is anyone that would like to spend some time with me to help me out, he would be more than Welcome.

  • Itunes 10.2 store network connection issues

I have Windows 7 and have downloaded itunes 10.2 and the itunes store keeps giving me an error message that reads "itunes cannot connect to the itunes store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active." My network connection is active because I can get onto the internet. It has continues to say this after I turned off my popup blocker and my firewall and when I run network diagnostics it reads my IP adress as 0.0.0.0 but I am nusure how to fix this issue. Please advise so that I can access the store and authorize my computer for my new iPad.

To resolve the problem of the iTunes Album Artwork Screensaver is easy:
While holding down the "Option" key, click on the iTunes icon on your dock. Then just re-choose your iTunes folder in the Music File inside your home folder (or where-ever you store it).
Somehow this reconnects the broken chain for the problem of "No Album Art Found In iTunes".
No need to redownload your album artwork, or repopulate the artwork, or delete anything from your preference folder. Nor is it necessary to repair permissions for this problem.
I hope this helps you. Let me know.
I am running the latest OS X Lion and iTunes update to date.

  • ITunes Store Error Message: "network connection was reset"

I've been having trouble connecting to the iTunes Store since Dec. 25, 2006. The last time I was able to connect to the site was Jan. 2, 2007!
The error message that I have been receiving is: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection was reset."
Here are the troubleshooting issues that I have already performed.
    1) Ensured that my internet connection was active.
    2) Checked to make sure Windows XP Service Pack Updates were compatible. No problems with the firewall detected.
    3) Have the latest version (7.02.16) of iTunes.
    4) iPod software is up to date.
    5) Ran iTunes diagnostics which states:
    Windows Firewall is on.
iTunes is enabled in Windows Firewall.
Connection attempt to Apple web site was unsuccessful.
    The network connection was reset.
Connection attempt to iTunes Store was unsuccessful.
    The network connection was reset.
Secure connection attempt to iTunes Store was successful.
Does anyone have this problem? Can anyone recommend a solution that worked for them?
    Sony   Windows XP

PS: I also went into Internet Explorer...
Selected Tools, selected Internet options, then selected Advanced Tab
Then I looked for the security section and made sure that SSL 2.0 was selected.
I was still unable to access iTunes Store.

  • HT5085 Gathering Info About your iTunes Library - Keep getting Network error

I bought iTunes Match yesterday, and so far have not been able to use it.
It gets to Stage 1: Gathering Info About Your iTunes Library and makes progress, but right at the end an error box appears saying:
"We could not complete your iTunes request. The network connection was reset.
Make sure your network connection is active and try again"
Well I know the network connection is active as I was able to be charged for iTunes Match and have had no problems making other purchases. I went to Advance > Run Diagnostics Tests from Help in iTunes and ran the Network Connectivity Diagnostics and it reported no problems.
Now I know how much Apple hate giving back refunds, but if people can't help, does anyone know how I can get my money back? If I click "Report a Problem" it simply takes me to the help pages. I tried contacting support but I received an email saying they can't help.
I'm getting quite frustrated now, so I'm reaching out and hoping someone can help me?

@ deggie, I wasn't threatening ANYONE. I was simply saying how frustrating this has become, seeing how I have been trying on my own to figure this issue out for more then a month with no results. Like I said in the beginning, I have not used any other account to purchase apps or other products on my phone. I have only ever used one account. There are 23 apps that are saying they can't sync. It directs me to authorize the computer, which I do but it doesn't change the outcome. If I proceed, I lose those 23 apps correct? Do I also lose all my text messages saved, and other things such as documents in the "notes"?

  • Cannot connect to the iTunes store. The network connection was reset.

My iTunes has been messed up since August 17th. I am getting the error message; "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connection is active and try again." I am having no issues connecting to the internet or even receiving my podcasts. It just won't download my TV shows or let me shop. I have contacted Hewlett Pack. about this and iTunes/apple. No one seems to have an answer for me. I have disabled my firewalls, norton, done msconfig, allowed iTunes, everything. I am very frustrated and so are others that seem to be having this same problem. We need a genius!! Please help!

I suspect a location-driven problem here. I live in SHanghai, China - as does the poster above! I have this problem on three different computers using three different ISPs.
Anybody got a suggestion? Tried firewalls, turning off virus production, reinstalling iTunes, putting phobos.apple.com and such in the permitted list, all sorts of stuff, to no avail. And Apple help support just bounces me around - I've interacted via email with three people, finally graduated to a real person, and they sent me back to email when the usual "reboot your machine and reinstall iTunes, then turn off virus protection" didn't work.

  • When i try to open my itues it says "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The Network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, and try again"

when i try to open my itues it says "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The Network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, and try again"

I am having similar issues except that the store starts to load, then stops, then I only get iTunes Store in gray letters on a white screen. I can access playlist and the other stuff. Like flamesgirl, I contacted them and they just keep sending me links of stuff to try which I had already seen on the Apple website and nothing works. I posted the question on another forum I belong to and one responder said her husband was in an Apple store and asked about this problem as he was having the same issue. They said an update would be coming out soon as they were aware of the problem. Who knows.

  • Windows Vista Network Issues when updating Podcasts

    Hi there,
Since upgrading to VISTA i am experiencing countless problems with my internet connection when using iTunes. Using iTunes normally does not cause a problem however as soon as iTunes store downloads updated podcasts, my network connection disconnects. The podcasts only download partially and then fail as a result of my network issues. I am unable to repair my wireless network connection at this point and it appears that my wireless card disables completely. I have to reboot to resolve the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this? I am using the latest version of iTunes.
    Are there any fixes?
    Many thanks,

Try turning off firewalls, pop-up blockers, software accelerators, and security software.
Can you connect with everything temporarily turned off?

  • Cannot Print book from iphoto (network issue)

I cannot get a book to print from iphoto or access itunes music store through my school network. My school has a PC network, I am the only teacher to use macs in my classroom. I can access the music store through XP on parallels so I know the network connection is good. I believe the problem is a network setting either on my macbook or in our server. Our Tech cannot identify the problem. I just updated all applications to the latest versions.

    Bill:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. That sound more that a networking issue that should be posted in the Tiger Getting Online & Networking forum. There will be users there that should be able to address your problem.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

  • Repeated iTunes prompt to allow network connections

I've recently upgraded to iTunes 10. All is fine except every time I start iTunes I get a prompt to allow iTunes to accept incoming network connections.
iTunes is set to accept incoming connections in my System Preferences>Security>Firewall settings
Any ideas on solutions much appreciated
    Mark

Tried this and it doesn't work. When iTunes starts it automatically adds itself to the firewall set to allow incoming connections. The first time it starts it does this because the firewall preferences file does not have an entry for it. The second time it starts, the entry is there and iTunes then prompts and keeps prompting. Deleting the entry from the firewall will stop it, but only for the next start.
You can see this happening y looking at the firewall preferences file in /Library/preferences. It's called com.apple.alf.plist. If you have this problem you will see an entry in it for iTunes with a block of hex data. When you remove iTunes from the firewall setting, this disappears. When you start iTune, it is re-added. The next start then checks this and prompts.
The only solution that seems to be accepted to be working by a number of discussions on various forums (and it worked for me), is to do the following:
    1. Delete the iTunes application from your applications.
    2. Stop the iTuneHelper application in Activity Monitor.
    3. Clear iTune firewall entries.
    4. Download iTunes from apple.com and install it.
Going back and monitoring the com.apple.alf.plist file ou will now see that when iTunes starts, it does not add any entries to this file. My understanding is that this whole issue is to do with self signing applications. It would appear that the firewall is now seeing iTunes as a self signing application and no longer needs to add an entry to it's preferences or prompt for access.

  • Apple TV 2.3 Network Issues

I recently updated to 2.3 and am having all sorts of network issues. I never had any problems prior to 2.3 and if I do a "Restore Factory Settings" then everything seems to work right, but I would like to have 2.3 in order to be able to rent movies, etc.
The problem that I am having is that the AppleTV typically cannot see the wireless network. This is not a distance issue as it is pretty close to my Linksys N router. I can use other devices with high signal strength right next to the AppleTV, and I can use the AppleTV on the older software without any problems. I've checked for interference, and the channel that I'm running the wireless on is not in use in my area so I am very sure this isn't a router / wireless issue. I have several other devices including two iPhones and my Mac Pro running on this connection with no problem.
If the Apple TV does see my wireless network then it frequently cannot get an IP address through DHCP and chooses its own address in the 169.x.x.x which is not even the subnet I am using.
Again, everything works fine on the old version, but 2.3 gives me these problems. It seems like I can't go back to 2.2? That was working fine as well.

I've had the ATV not be available on the network a couple times since the update, but its always repaired itself after a restart of iTunes on my primary machine. This same machine however, won't stream audio to the ATV via AirTunes even while the ATV is being seen. I'm getting a combo of the dreaded error code -15000, and no response from the connection when initiating using the ATV as a speaker.

  • "Could not connect to iTunes store. Your network connection has timed out"

OK. So my internet is fine as you can tell yet i keep getting the message "iTunes could not connect to iTunes store. Your network connection has timed out".I have tried restarting and the parental control thing as well as the "proxy server" thing, and nothing has worked. I would be very grateful if someone could help me

I've had the same problem for the last two weeks. Finally resolved the issue in Windows 7.
Go to start button, control panel, system & security, windows firewall. On the left side of the box click on "advanced settings." On the left side of the box again click on "Inbound Rules." You should be able to see iTunes under the name category. Make sure it has a green check mark next to it. If it does not, then double click on the name. In the "general" box which comes up open, click "Allow the Connection." That worked for me. Somehow itunes was blocked but now I can access the itunes store again.

I have five different people using 10 different apple devices on one itunes account in our family.  We have had trouble sharing.  What is the best way to set up itunes on our home network?  We have purchased music that sits on icloud, but we also have music we have imported from our previous cd library.  Our itunes program keeps crashing and dumping everyone's playlists.  So far we have all been using just the one desktop computer to sync to because we can't figure out how to share the same librarly and playlists on multiple computers in our home so devices can be synced at any location as well as playlists and purchases be made.

What is the best way to set up itunes on our home network?
One iTunes library per person.  One iTunes account per person.
If people wish to share songs, they can make copies.
