Itunes 9.0.2 bad for me !

i've got 2 ipods 80 gb classics and touch i installed 9.0.2 now nothing .windows or itunes does not see them ,1 classic does charge and does connect then disconects but thats it, tried to downgrade to 8.02 that worked restarted then nothing again ! arggg any help would be great ? or do i need to wait for update ?

My suspicion would be the corporate firewall. (Peculiar things can happen with some of the big network ones.) Another possibility might be that they are using something like an OpenDNS solution, and an OpenDNS filter setting may be partially blocking the Store. (Saw that happen with one person who wasn't getting any images to display on the Store.)
If you're on relatively good terms with your IT folks, it might be worth referring them to the following document:

(Perhaps there's a setting they can tweak a bit.)

ITunes Charged me 9 times for 1 purchase and Support has not resolved it

iTunes charged me 9 times for a single transaction and I'm getting no where in getting it resolved.
Nov 21, 2005: Purchased Season 2 of Lost (videos) for $13.93
Nov 21-22 2005: Was charged over and over again, totaling 9 times for the single purchase
Nov 23: 2005: Initial contact to iTunes support; they tell me this is normal that small charges may be applied to your account as 'authorization requests' Of course, these weren't normal or small charges it was billing error that charged me 9 times for a single purchase.
After contacting them again to reiterate the fact that I was charged 9 times for the purchase, my mail is finally read and an acknowledgments is made that something went wrong. They tell me "We have investigated and resolved the issue you reported. Within 72 hours, you will receive a refund for the duplicate charges through your Paypal account, coming from the iTunes Music Store."
Nov 29 2005: I wait patiently beyond 72 hours for all the refunds to be put in place; some are completed but 2 charges still show. One at the time is valid, its the purchase I made. ** (Not valid today because the music shows as not payed for anymore) **
I contact Support on the 29th stating all of the refunds have not come in, they tell me there is nothing they can do and that I need to contact Paypal. "The best way to resolve this issue is to contact PayPal and advise them of the situation."
I talk to a senior person at Paypal and they tell me there is nothing they can do, that iTunes must issue the refund. Nice. Circles!
I write back again to iTunes Support stating that I had contact Paypal and they stated that there is nothing they can do regarding the refund, that Paypal needs to resolve the matter. iTunes writes back:
"We're sorry that you have experienced this problem with your PayPal account. Unfortunately, we will not be able to notify you when the matter is resolved. Our engineers are trying to correct the errors, and we hope to enable PayPal payment processing as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience."
OK, they at least acknowledge there is a problem (even if they are blaming it on Paypal) and that they are working on it.
Dec 05 2005: Follow up today to get a status as to when I will be refunded for their error, I get no update, only the following response:
"We apologize in the delays in processing this refund, and we thank you for your patience."
I follow up stating I would like the full amount refunded; it seems the original purchase is listed as not payed for so I can't even watch what I purchased! At this point I just
want to be refunded so I can cancel and delete my iTunes account.
Whats bad:
- Can't reject the charge on my cc since it will get rejected back to paypal, not iTunes/Apple (paypal will then likely just close my account and come after me for the money)
- Can't reject charges in paypal, they don't seem to do that
- iTunes/Apple support mails are incredibly canned responses and impersonal
- I'm at the mercy of iTunes/Apple in resolving this; there is no ETA for them to resolve this issue that they created.
- I've asked to be called regarding this matter and the requests have been ignored
Any advice to get this resolved would be appreciated. It is has been an incredibly frustrating experience; I don't much like the idea being forced to pay off a credit card charge for services that I have not actually received and which were charged to me in error.

This is EXACTLY what happened to me and many others. Tech support returned most of my money but not all of it. Figure that one out! It is clear no music is downloaded (or in queue), it is clear an unknown error message is produced, and it is clear we, the consumer, are still being charged anyway. Will Apple require a credit card from its customers and alienate those that do not wish to use a credit card? Will Apple insult its customers and make silly suggestions such as 'Use an iTunes gift card' in much the same way a forum moderator has already recommended?
I have an idea: Acknowledge the problem publicly (via email, for example) and fix it in a future update. Customers will be more understanding if they know there is a temporary problem and Apple is working hard to fix it. Oh, and return our money, please!

Itunes 5 destroyed me - help for burning and converting?

I only use itunes for three things and now I am no longer able to do any of those. Can someone please correct me if I am wrong.
I can now no longer convert files to mp3s
I can no now longer burn audio that I make using other software (Peak, Protools, etc.) I get an error message that says there are no songs in this playlist, when, clearly, there are songs and itunes will even play them for me. It just won't burn them.
I can also now no longer burn aif or wav files as mp3 files. I get an error message that says "no mp3 files in this playlist"

As far as I can determine, "convert" does not mean make a second copy in a different format, it means change the format of the file.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but it says (in the Advanced menu): 'Convert selection to ...'
Although English is not my native language, I understand from this, iTunes will create a copy.
I would be very disappointed if iTunes really destroyed my original file, so it does make sense to me.
Deleting music files using the Finder instead of iTunes causes iTunes to loose the links with the files. The locations of the (now deleted) files are still in it's database. Therefore they still show up in the library.

Reg. Exit/BADI for changing item data of PO in ME22N

Hi all,
My requirement is to update the field LABNR (Order Ack.) of few specific line items of a PO, in the Transaction ME22N, using Exit/BADI.
I have tried the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST. But the PROCESS_ITEM method of this BADI processes only the line item which has been changed/inserted in ME22N transaction. But my requirement is to update line items irrespective of whether that line item was "changed/not changed" during the process in ME22N screen.
Could you please suggest me some suitable Exit/BADI for this requirement.

Problem solved by implementing the method Process_Header.
1. Get the items from Header                              - im_header->get_items
2. Loop the item list and get the line item record   - re_item-item->get_data
3. <- Logic to Update the line item - >.
4. Update the line item                                       - re_item-item->set_data

If you haven't tried already, plug your devices into iTunes, and on each device next to the "Summary" tab at the top is another tab called "Info." Click that and scroll down to Contacts, Calendars, etc. There should be a pull down bar under each category for "Sync contacts from..." and you should be able to select from that pull down list Outlook. Hit Apply at the bottom and see if that does it.

Do you need to have the same OS as the version of itunes that you're downloading for it to work

No, there's some overlap with the OS versions you can use with different versions of iTunes, but one thing is for certain, you can't use iTunes10 with OSX 10.4.11 You need Leopard at a minimum. The highest you can go with Tiger is 9.2.1 but if you need support for a brand new i-gadget then you need the iTunes specified on the box (at least) and that's likely to be version 10.

Use trx SE19 to implement your BADI: create an ZME_PROCESS_PO_CUST using ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST as definition.
Now in Interface Tabs you can see the METHODs you can use as "user-exit", in particular there's PROCESS_ITEM to manage items data.
You have to write your code into this method.
This method has IM_ITEM like parameter in its interface, and it's like the type IF_PURCHASE_ORDER_ITEM_MM.
This type has the method IF_LONGTEXTS_MM~SET_TEXT, you can try to use it to set your text in item.
This is code for example:
DATA: TLINE TYPE MMPUR_T_TEXTLINES.
CALL METHOD IM_ITEM->IF_LONGTEXTS_MM~SET_TEXT
EXPORTING
IM_TDID = <YOUR ID>
IM_TEXTLINES = TLINE.
So you should read the text you want to copy and pass it to TLINE.
You can use the METHOD PROCESS_HEADER to read the text you need. This METHOD has IM_HEADER as parameter and it's like the type IF_PURCHASE_ORDER_MM, this type has the method IF_LONGTEXTS_MM~GET_TEXT to read header logn text.
Anyway while you're in implementation of the BADI go to:

Here you can try an example how to implement the method you need to use.

I can't seem to download anything on my iTunes when I use Check for available downloads. I have preorders that I can't download cos it just says 'iTunes store temporarily unavailable' even tho when I actually go on iTunes itself it work fine..

I've been in contact with Apple support team regarding this issue. I have about 9 items available for download(preorders mostly) but it's not listed under download. When I click on Check for available download, a message with 'iTunes temporarily unavailable' appears but when I go to the iTunes store itself, its working just fine. I've already been charged twice for the same movie which Apple have kindly refunded me for one of them but I still haven't managed to download that movie yet. Apple says its a problem with my computer and given me all sort of ways to rectify the issue and still no hope. Everything else seems to work just fine including the actual iTunes store, wifi syncing and cable syncing etc. Can somebody help me with this if you know how to solve this problem or if you've had the same issue now or before?
I am using the latest Software updates on my iTunes and these 9 items were purchased whilst on this new updates

Launch iTunes on your computer.
From the menu bar click iTunes > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click Reset warnings and Reset cache
Click OK.
Restart your computer, launch iTunes.

No. Purchase always remain with the account they were purchased with.

If you remeber the password to that Apple ID then follow these steps
1 - Make sure you have an email address that is NOT an Apple ID
2 - Go to AppleID.Apple.com
3 - Where it reads Manage Apple ID - Sign in
Once you are signed in want to make sure the email address you are wanting to use is NOT set up as a "Recovery/Rescue" email for this account.
[To check this - Main page where you see Primary ID - below do you see the email address you want to use listed towards the bottom? Yes - Delete / No - Good ./. If made any adjustments "Save" Next on the left select "Password & Security" - Answer your security questions you set up "if you have any" then scroll towards the bottom and check to see if you see the email address you want to use. Yes - Delete / No - Good] <-> Also you can change your password on this page as well. Any adjustments made "Save"
Once this is done go back to the main page where you should read "Primary ID" and change the email address that is showing to the new email address youo want. "Save" Done
