ITunes won't save software license agreement

Every time I log into my computer account and launch iTunes, iTunes asks me to accept the software license agreement, which I do. Then iTunes notifies me that the volume is turned all the way down. If I quit and re-launch iTunes, everything is fine. But when I log out and back in, get the software license agreement again and the volume message. This issue doesn't occur on the other accounts I have set up on my computer.
I have so far deleted the following files/folders but the issue persists between log-ins:
~/Library/Caches/*
~/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-in/
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.iTunes.*
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.*
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunesHelper.*
MacBook Pro
2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
8GB RAM
Mac OS X 10.7.2
iTunes 10.5.2

hmmmm.
okay, let's try an experiment aimed at working out if this is a problem more with the program files or the preference files.
head into your user accounts control panel and create a new user account with full administrative rights. (there's help documentation on how to do that at the left of the control panel screen.) while you're in that control panel, switch off "fast user switching" in your logging-on preferences.
now log out of the old account and log into the new account.
launch itunes. do itunes preferences changes save properly from inside the new account?
(if they don't, that points towards a program issue. if they do, that points more towards preference files.)

  • ITunes won't open - Software License Agreement

I've had iTunes 7.0 since the summer with no problems. I jsut got an iPod for Christmas and on Saturday I started having this problem. Everytime I open iTunes a Software icense Agreement comes up. It aks me to agree or decline. Either way(if i choose agree or decline) iTunes doesn't open. A thing comes up saying iTunes can't open sorry for the inconvenience.
I've been looking on these forums and loads of people seem to have the same problem. I tried Ewido or something but it didn't help. I've uninstalled and deleted iTunes and re-installed it many times but I'm having the sme problem.
    Any ideas?

perhaps you should check your processes tab and see if itunes and quicktime is there? if quicktime did not get installed, itunes will not work, which is a common issue
dont delete your firewall, it protects you from future viral and malware attacks, if you have a good one. Go get zone alarm its free and works good

  • Itunes Won't Launch After Licensing Agreement

Whenever I try to launch Itunes, by double clicking the icon, the licensing agreement flashes by very fast and then Itunes does not launch. I believe I had 6.0, but when that wasn't launching, I downloaded the new version (7.0), I believe. I've noticed quicktime is similar and will not launch. I've deleted and reinstalled multiple times, but the same thing keeps happening. Any suggestions?

with those symptoms, the first thing we need to check for is a Qoologic adware infestation on your PC. the free trial version of Ewido has been catching and killing that for most folks:

  • Itunes 6.0 stuck at Software License Agreement

    Hello,
I am having a great deal of trouble with running the new itunes. I downloaded the itunes 6.0.4 and quicktime, but when I click to open it, the itunes software license agreement shows up for less than a second, then closes by itself. If I click on it again it does the same thing. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but the same thing happens. Also, when I try to open the quicktime it opens for less than a second and closes automatically.
Will someone please help me fix this problem because I just bought a video 30gb and I need to have this version of itunes to transfer my songs

    Hi there and welcome.
Tell me, what antivirus programs do you run on that PC? Many times, they interfere with the successful download and install of iTunes. Can you get Quicktime to open at all? Make sure Quicktime was installed because iTunes cannot work without Quicktime.
If it was not installed, try the standalone download of Quicktime. I have the link if you need it. Turn OFF antivirus and firewall programs prior to downloading iTunes. Instead of running it over the internet, save it to your desktop or Harddrive. Post back and let us know

  • ITunes error pop up box and software license agreement - can't launch iTunes

Cannot get iTunes to launch. Pop up box with Display Setting error and a iTunes software license agreement I cannot accept or decline. Anyone seen anything like this?

Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from Microsoft:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Now run the utility ("Start > All programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries, and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC, and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through this time?

  • ITunes asking me to accept software licensing agreement every time.

I just got a new PC, and downloaded iTunes. Every time I opened iTunes, it prompts me to agree to iTune's software licensing agreement terms every time, OR it will open straight to iTunes and an iTunes tutorial will pop up. iTunes changes my preferences every time I open it too.
This is frustrating beyond all measure. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this.
    Thanks.

  • Just reinstalled - can't get past iTunes Software License Agreement

    Hello,
I just reinstalled iTunes for Windows after receiving my iPod back from customer service. Well now that I have run iPod update and installed iTunes again, every time I try to open iTunes the iTunes Software License Agreement flashes for a second, but then disappears, without even giving me a chance to click 'Agree' at the bottom of the user agreement. Also, Quicktunes (which I also reinstalled) only opens for a second as well, immediately closing after about a half a second.
I have read some of the other posts on this board and yes, I do have Norton AntiVirus 2005. I have tried a) disabling Auto-Protect, b) manually excluding c:/programfiles/itunes, and c) checking my Windows firewall, which is disabled.
    What else can I do?
Thanks in advance for reading this and for any advice you might able to give me...
    Kid

Turn OFF norton totally and completely and try launching iTunes. If iTunes launches, then you know its Norton as the culprit. If that still does not work, we have ruled out that step.
You may wanna try MSCONFIG to see what is interferring with the launch of iTunes,

  • My iPod won't go past asking me to agree to the Software License Agreement

Hi, I have an iPod nano and every time I connect it to my computer, it asks me to check the box saying, "I have read and agree to the iPod Software License Agreement". Once I click agree and save the agreement to my computer, nothing happens; the contract does not go away. I cannot view what music is on my iPod or alter it. What should I do?

If you are clicking the SAVE button, you may not be seeing the entire agreement and are clicking the wrong button. Change the resolution of your screen to 1024 or larger and see if you see the REAL agreement button and then click it, you can then resize the screen back to how you liked it before.
But this may not be it as others have reported agreeing to the license page and still getting it over and over. Hopefully you fall into the first category where you simply don't see the whole thing.

  • I can't get past the Software License Agreement in itunes

Whenever I connect my ipod to itunes all I get is the 'Software License Agreement' come up. Even though I've clicked the "I have read & agree to the license software agreement" & then saved it in 'My Documents' it never gets past this stage. Is this some kind of fault?
I can "drop & drag" music from itunes in to my ipod but I cannot see what's loaded on to it from itunes. I can also safely "eject" it from itunes. Attempting to reset my ipod doesn't appear to help either.

    Right click on the desktop.
    Select Properties.
    Click the Settings tab.
    Drag the slider to 1024x768.

  • Application Manger Software License Agreement for Acrobat Pro won't let me choose "Accept."

Just purchased the 12 month subscription to Creative Cloud and got most all programs I wanted installed, including Acrobat Pro. However, when attempting to open a PDF file an Application Manager window pops up with "CS6 Creative Cloud Membership" in the title and "Adobe Software License Agreement" in the header.
There is no other text in said window besides the options "Quit" and "Accept" in the lower right corner; below the Adobe logo in the upper left corner there is a drop menu triangle that opens an empty drop box.
The system we are using is a refurbished iMac 27" running OS x 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Please advise; this is very frustrating.

Fix described here: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/known-issues-acrobat-xi-reader.html (see Blank EULA screen)
"Blank EULA screen. Problem: Mac OS only. On launch, a blank EULA screen appears, which cannot be accepted, and Acrobat does not run. This problem can appear if you have any products installed from CCM or from Creative Suite, and you tried installing Acrobat XI from a different source.
Workaround: Launch any other product which is part of the CCM or Creative suite. Then, deactivate it by choosing Help > Deactivate. Quit the application. Then, launch Acrobat and accept the EULA. Then, for the CCM subscription product, launch it and select License This Software to enable the CCM product again. If a CS application, launch it and reactivate it. [3338419]"

  • Iphone software license agreement...cant go forward

i am able to locate my iphone and the first page that appears is a register/not register...i click on register and it sends me to the software license agreement page. i am able to click on i agree then at the bottom there is only cancel and save, no "ok" button. so how do i continue? also itunes is up to date as well as my computer and i have already unistalled then reinstalled itunes.

I believe you need to increase your computers screen resolution. It must be at least 1024x768. If this is on a of go to control panel and find display. Then in display settings you go to "settings" and adjust it there.
