IW51 IW52 Notification Contact Address

I am trying to find a BAPI or FM to update the contact person address for the notification in IW51/IW52.
This address update is only for the notification and not the update of address in VAP2.
I can do a BDC but looking for a better way.
In IW51/52, once we enter a contact person name and press enter, the next field called "Cont. Address" will list the sold to address.
If we click on icon "Message Address" to update the address, a pop up comes up and we can enter a different address. Then the next field in IW51/52 will change from "Cont. Address" to "Spec address".
What I understood that happens in background is that it creates a new record in ADRC table and updates that ADRNR in QMEL. I tried to replicate the same but now i cannot see the notif in change mode.
I am using the BAPI BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE but did not see any field to populate the contact person name or their address.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

According to the submission by Maheswaran KD., we may have to overwrite the initial address details in Message tab if we need to add a new address since Object Address cannot be used.
please suggest where to keep the overwritten address for reporting purpose in future.

The Partner function is being used by using the Partner overview and maintaining the partner address. But the issue is which screen do we use to display such address since the customer tab, the contact person tab and the message tab are already occupied with various address details. Where do we display a new address details if we don't want to overwrite the message address?

But we have a customised table for the same.
So when we create a notification number... it goes in the function exit but at that time we do not have the notification number generated.... and we are inserting records in custom table in this exit....
So please guide us how we go ahead about it...

I want to use one of my icloud email addresses as a new apple ID. It was an additional email contact address I originally set up for my child. But now, I'd like to set her up on Family Sharing, using that email as her ID. Obviously, when I try to use it when setting up a new apple ID, it says the email is already being used (Yes, by ME) and I need to select a different one. Can I somehow delete that email address in order to set up a new apple ID using it? Or is there another way to "re-use" that address for my child's new ID?

This is exactly what I want to do but don't think I can:
I noticed the following :
If you attempt to create an Apple ID which is the same as your @icloud email address from the online facility, it does not allow you (can't use an Apple associated email address as your Apple ID). However - if you start a fresh device - such as a new iPhone, iPad (must be mobile it seems), and then create an iCloud account and Apple ID from the prompts when setting up the mobile device, it IS possible to have your Apple ID and @iCloud email address as the same. I know because I just did it!
Unfortunately for me, the result I got above is not for one of my own ID's but a friends, and I would VERY much like to do the same - my current Apple ID is a completely different email address from my iCloud account. Trying to get them the same in my situation is a major bother - I think that if I wipe a device (such as an iPhone5 that is mine) and try to setup as I did my friend's device, then I will get a conflict because the iCloud email I have ALREADY exists. This is my worry and I will not attempt this until I get the new iPad 4 soon to test this.
There is an inconsistency here between the two methods of creating Apple ID's and iCloud accounts.
Overall in my opinion, the Apple ID system as currently available from Apple is not designed very well, and should be addressed.

How to track changes when a contact updates contacts address section?

I'm creating a workflow to create an integration event when a contact updates its contacts address section (number/street, address2, address3 city, state, zip).
Record Type: Contact
Trigger Event: When Modified record saved
Workflow Rule Condition: None
Action Type: Integration Event
When I go to configure the workflow action, I don't see the address on the track changes list. How do I specifiy the address section to be tracked when it's modified?

The best way would be to create a trigger in the database that would update the history table whenever the data was changed. The next best would be to use a stored procedure. I would not try to do this with server side scripting.

Extended Notifications - Recipient Address

Hi,
I am creating a subscription in SWNCONFIG (Extended Nofications) that should go to a particular e-mail address. When I set an e-mail adress with INT Internet Mail nothing is sent via report swn_selsen. The subscription works fine when setting a user and RML Internal SAP User, Furthermore, it also works with a * and CUS Receiver Determination Through Handler. Any ideas what the problem could be?

I solved the problem by creating my own subscription handler. It is a copy of CL_SWN_SUBSCRIPTION and reads a distribution list with an e-mail address.

Gmail contact addresses not syncing properly in iOS 4

Since updating my 3GS to iOS 4, I've noticed a change in the way contact addresses are entered: there is a separate field for each individual address component. The problem is that all my contact addresses are now populating the fields incorrectly. The street address line goes into the street address field okay, but then the city, state and zip all get put into the "city" field. If a contact has an address with two "street" lines, then the first goes into a "street" field correctly, but then the second "street" line goes into the "city" field, and the city, state and zip all go into the "state" field.
I use Google Sync to sync up my contacts with my Gmail account, and since address entries in Gmail are free-form, I wonder if this might be an issue with Apple parsing the address data incorrectly. It seems it's just spitting up the data into the fields using line breaks (which is quite clumsy, IMHO).

_Shows up in iPhone contacts as:_
Street: 12345 Sesame Street
City: New York, NY 10022

If I fix the address so each component is in the correct field on my iPhone, each address component displays on a separate line in Gmail, which looks ridiculous.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with iOS 4? Is this an Apple bug or a Gmail bug?

You are not alone!
I use mobileme to sync my contacts data, as opposed to gmail... so I am unable to provide advice.
However a quick search on here shows that you are not the lone ranger:

Update vendor master contact address

hello Folks,
is there any function mdoule to update the Vendor Contact address.. I have searched in SCN and i found that in some threads there is no function module available to do so.
Can any one tell me if this is correct .. we cannot with BAPI or FM .

Hi Raj,
I had similar issue in my current project. This answer might be helpful for others.
Go to table KNVK ..enter your vendor numbers LIFNR & note down the unique number in field PARNR .
Change partner contact details in tcode: MAP2 with help of unique numer.
You can also develop LSMW with reference to transaction MAP2 for upadting partner address.

Didn't sync contacts' addresses

All of my contacts were on my iPod that is no longer in use since I now have an iPhone. I always synced EVERYTHING so it wouldn't be lost. Now I can't find any of my contacts' addresses. How do I find them?

Have you double checked to make sure there's no backup file for you to restore from? iTunes will normally backup your info before updating. Apps can be redownloaded at no charge. If you have proof of all your purchases for music, you can contact iTunes Store support through the website. They will usually regrant that music for you and put it back into your download queue.

Just this week changed from Talk Talk /toucansurf to a BT broadband and phone service.
I can access my emails ie receive and send from my new BT yahoo account and have good connection to the internet
BUT
Before I totally cancel my Talk Talk account I need to know whether the
1)existing emails in my inbox
2) the emails that are stored in folders I have created
3) and my contacts address book
will disappear when I make the full switch ????

You should be able to export your contacts to a file, then import them to your BT account. As for folders, if they are stored within the Windows Live program, they you should be able to save the contents.
If they are stored on a remote server, and you access them by webmail, then you may lose them unless you use an IMAP account to duplicate the folders on your computer, where you can save the contents.

Google Contact / Address Book Sync

Google Contact / Address Book Sync is not working for me and I have an iPhone and Leopard, which I thought were the only requirements. I was able to sync my Address Book contacts to Google the first time around, but when I add a new contact to either Google or Address Book, one does not sync to another. Am I missing a piece of software here or is there something I need to do?
I am thinking that possibly this could be because the sync takes a long time and is not instantaneous?

I have achieved a sync but I can't identify what isn't working with mine - I can change some data but not all email/addresses are there in Address Book... which is weird.
I'll try a google forum and see if I can get help and reply.

Nokia 3600 Slide Outlook contact address not trans...

I am using Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0.2.42 and although the contact address appear in the Ovi software they do not transfer to the phone. Everything else seems to!

It's the basic log(press green button on standby) that shows the last occurrence. The one you get by going through the menu to the log and pressing the right button as stated by Jimmy above will have a lot more detail. I don't understand the reasoning behind this one log with everything seems a lot simpler to me

You can do one of two things:
1) Create a dummy contact in the Mac Address Book (make one up), then sync the iPhone - you'll be prompted to merge or replace - choose Merge.
2) Export the contacts from Outlook or WAB and import them into Address Book. If you're using Outlook, select all the contacts in Outlook, then right-click one of them and select Forward Items. You'll then get an email with all your contacts as individual .vcf files. You can email that to yourself, or just copy all those files to a flash drive.

Contact / address book duplicates

WHile led I see lots of suggestions how to fix Contact / address book duplicates - I don't know what causes them.
I only have 1 mail account - exchange. What am I doing wrong to see duplicates constantly being created?

Hi, have a similar but bigger problem. card --> Look for duplicates does not solve it.
from original 2000 adresses I now have 550,000 many of them massive duplicates. Causes MASSIVE time waste and delays.
Event correlates with me installing Outlook for Mac2011 sync programme.
now want to just delete address book and sync again and stay with Mac Address/Cal and disconnect from Microsoft.
question: can I simply delete address book in Finder? what happens when I go back into it? does it get newly created?

I wrote a scenario to synchronize business partners between 2 companies.
When i try to remove contacts, addresses, payment installments, bank accounts of a business partner,
these records are not removed in the target company
So, no removement of contacts, addresses, ...
Has somebody already made a scenario which is able to remove contacts, addresses, ... ?

Hi Mario,
Currently there is no possibility to remove a line from a collection inside an object through XML with the DI API. From B1 8.82 on you will be able to remove a line inside of a collection for Business Partners and Documents by using a new XML method called UpdateFromXML available on that objects. Please have a look to the SDK Help File for B1 8.82 for more information about it.
Inside B1if there is a workaround that has been implemented but this workaround only works when you create an extra atom containing a B1 object call. When you defined the B1 object call you can specify the usage of the method "updateWithSubDeletion" for BPs and "updateDocWithSubDeletion" for Documents in order to remove a line in a collection. The workaround for documents remove all lines and add them again. For BPs it seems there are some limitations. Please have a look at it and let me know any feedback, it is a workaround while the new SDK method wasn't available.
Regarding the new SDK feature released in 8.82 there is no exact information regarding the B1if patch level that will include that feature to be used automatically in a B1 outbound call. I'll let you know as soon as I have more information around it.
