IWeb and Macromedia Flash

I made a simple fade in, in flash, ublished it, now what do i do to get it to play on my website?
when i drag it on it just plays as a quicktime video not a photo. Also i don't want it as a gif.
can someone help?

If the flash movie plays as a quicktime video successfully on your published page, then the way to get rid of the controller and make the movie autoplay would be to edit the .js file for the page (this file is found inside the folder named after your page "Page Files"). In the page.js file, you will see attributes for "controller" and "autoplay". You will need to change both of these attributes from "false" to "true". Also, I believe that they appear in the .js file in two places, so both need to be changed. Keep in mind that these attributes will be overwritten everytime the page is published by iWeb, so your edits will need to be redone.
For more information about these attributes and how you might best use them for quicktime files, here is Michael Rowan's tutorial page on autoplay music...

Hope this helps.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and Macromedia Flash MX 2004

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and have recently installed Macromedia Flash MX 2004.
Now when I go to export to Flash I don't get the Adobe Premiere's Flash Export dialog box when I press "Options" from the Export Settings.  I get the Flash MX Professional 2004 "Flash Video (FLV) Exporter."  It doesn't allow me to change any of the parameters.
I then un-installed Macromedia Flash MX 2004 but still get the same "Flash Video (FLV) Exporter."
Any ideas on how to get the Premiere exporter back?

Well there is no answer to my question, but I did finally get the Adobe Media Encoder dialog box to come back again.
After uninstalling Premiere and QuickTime, then shutting down the computer, rebooting and logging on to the Admin account, shutting down again, rebooting again, logging in to the Admin account again ...
I then went in to the registry and removed all the Entries that had either of these in it:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\DVA\COM
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\DVA\FLASH
    and these as well
    C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTComponents\FLV.qtx
    C?\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTComponents\FLV.qtx
Rebooted the computer, logged back in to Admin.
I then re-installed QuickTime, and rebooted.
I then installed Premiere and the Adobe Media Encoder Flash dialog now shows up.
I'd be careful messy with the registry if you are trying to fix this type of problem.  Try uninstalling quicktime and premiere and do the above shutdown, reboot sequence a number of times before doing anything to the registry.

  • Weblogic 5.10 and Macromedia Flash

I am currently using Weblogic Server 5.10 on an Windows 2000 Operating

streamed through their site to the client browsers. I was wondering
if there was any configuration involved for Weblogic to support
Flash as well as if there are any known problems with this combination.
I have searched through the newsgroups and I have not found anything
    on the subject.

We can export/content just like we do any other Web file. You just have to
make sure that you have the appropriate content type included in Weblogic.

  • Adobe Media Encoder and Macromedia Flash MX 2004

I already posted this question here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/777473?tstart=0
When I first posted I thought it had something to do with Premiere but now think it has something to do with the Adobe Media Encoder.
If you want to delete that message then feel free.

I uninstalled all macromedia programs, Dreamweaver, Extention Manger, and FreeHand.
I now I get this message when selecting Macromedia Flash Video from the export settings:
"Cannot find Flash Video export Module for QuickTime. Please install and retry."
So I un-installed and re-installed QuickTime and got the same message:
"Cannot find Flash Video export Module for QuickTime. Please install and retry."
No quite sure if the above message was talking about reinstalling QuickTime or Premiere, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere again, agian and got this message:
"Cannot find Flash Video export Module for QuickTime. Please install and retry."

  • I-sight and macromedia flash server two

    Hey there good people,
Hope someone can help me out. I testing the isight camera with macrommedia server 2 on the follwoing: a mac mini, a G4 laptop, and the built in isight with the new G5's. I am not getting any video Particularly, the ability to record video via the i-sight camera either on Safari or Mozilla. I adjusted the camera settings in the flash menu to IIDC firewire but still no go. The video will not appear so the user can record their comments.
I tested again with a logitech on the mac (using mozilla) and the flash record video worked fine but here again it did not work on Safari.
    Anyone encounter similar challenges? HELP!
MDG vision 2000 Windows XP Pro

Anyone encounter similar challenges? HELPNot I, but I do not use "macrommedia server 2". If you do not get better help here, the best I have to offer follows.
If you are not sure your external iSight works, you can check it using the suggestions in How to test your iSight to ensure it is functional.
If your external iSight passes the test, the problem may be related to macrommedia server 2. Try macrommedia's Help system, user guide or readme documentation, or Support web pages. Perhaps you can find a forum dedicated to macrommedia server 2 via their Support pages or with a Google search.
Regarding your built-in iSight, if it passes the tests suggested in this link, perhaps macrommedia server 2 is another application which, like iMovie, cannot directly use the internal iSight.

  • IWeb and graphics/Flash?

Ok, so i'm working on making a website for my company and i wanted to know if there was any way to put moving graphics on it. something like flash or along those lines. is there a program, or just easy steps to accomplish this?

If you already have a flash presentation or graphic ready to go, you may be able to embed it into a page that you create in iWeb. It will most likely (unless your presentation is Flash 5 based) require editing the HTML code that is generated from iWeb. There is no way to create such a presentation in iWeb directly.

  • Oh crap,... flex is gone and macromedia flash pro 8 too

now how am i going to make flash with free products?
    who else is leading?
    now what?

Neither Flex nor Flash Pro are gone; but there are some occurences over the past six years that you'll want to educate yourself on.
    Here is a short summary:
Macromedia was acquired by Adobe.  Since then, most Macromedia products have been rebranded as Adobe products; including Flash Professional.
Flex was released for free and then open sourced.  The open source version is available from the Adobe Open Source site.  More info about Flex is on Adobe's site.  Development continues, and Flex 5 was recently greenlight by Adobe.
The Flex IDE, which used to be called Flex Builder, has been renamed to Flash Builder.  Version 1 was based on dreamweaver, but version 2 (and later) were based on Eclipse; the Java editor.

  • Re: 'Interface' application and Macromedia Flash Player

I am using the HMRC CDRom which uses the Interface application. The CD has frozen and Interface will not allow me to shut down the computer and will not enable me to quit interface. Any guidance would be appreciated. MarkR2

Ok I encountered this problem trying to play a Neopets game
today. This is how I went about fixing it:
My initial problem was when I opened the game it told me I
needed to update my flash player. While on the game page and after
downloading the file from the shockwave page two identical pop ups
said I needed an activex control on the webpage. I found a post on
another message board that said to get rid of that problem you had
to unistall Windows Update 912945 or temporarily disable it. The
post led me to download this Compatibility Patch for Internet
Explorer for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB917425)
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=B7D9801B-4FB5-492E-903E-3400ABF1D 731&displaylang=en
and got rid of problem one.
Once I could load the game I got the exact error that you two
had. I then went in and redownloaded the update for which that
patch was intended to temporarily nullify.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/KB912945
That update was revised on 5/2/06 and after re-installing it I can
    now play my game.

when i publish my site and vew it the page on the web it just comes up with the file name w/ the ,swf and the "mising plug-in" message below. if i click on the file name it displays the flash file but gigantic (the entire height of the page).totally perplexed!

  • IWeb and Flash Content

What is the best way to imbed Macromedia Flash 8 Proffesional content onto an iWeb site? It is a flash created coloring game.
    PowerBook G4 Double Layer 1 Gb 100 Gb   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Simple answer?
iWeb only uses the QuickTime browser plug-in for any content and your files must be "Published" as version 5, or lower for the plug-in to display the .swf file.
To use other export versions you'll need to hand edit (a pain) the published html file and javascript (.js) to point to your .swf file.
Last point to bring up is that QT version 7.1.3 has "disabled" Flash Media (default settings) and each visitor must use their Sys Prefs (Mac) or Control Panel (PC) to enable Flash media via QuickTime.
This change was done for security issues in Flash Media via QuickTime.

  • IMac freezes after downloading Macromedia Flash and Shockwave

I just got my iMac less than a month ago. It ran fine until I downloaded the latest versions of Macromedia Flash and Shockwave in order to view certain websites. Since then, my iMac freezes about once a day. How do I uninstall Flash and Shockwave to determine if they are the cause of the freezes?
    iMac 20" 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   128MB VRAM, 2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB

I have a gut feeling it's Shockwave that is causing the freezes. If you aren't familiar with Spotlight yet, it's the icon with a blue circle top right in your Menu. Click the Spotlight icon, in the Search field type in Shockwave. That will give you a list of where the Shockwave folders are and the components. Drag the Shockwave files to the Trash and empty the Trash.
As far as Flash is concerned, I've been using Macromedia's Flash with Safari for years without a glitch, but that's just my experience. If it were me, I'd trash Shockwave and see how your iMac behaves before I did anything about Flash
Also, there's a great disk utility that can help keep your iMac running stable and it's free. Here's where you can get it: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/onyx.html Download and install. Run the Maintenance and Cleaning scripts... once a week!

  • HTML Pages/Macromedia Flash and OBIEE

    Hi there.
I need to integrate an HTML page and/or Macromedia Flash app's with OBIEE.
What I'm planning to do is creating a HTML or Flash page, with some fancy art representing different dashboards. When user click one of thos pics, then I must go to the appropriate dashboard. In there, I don't want to show OBIEE Answers ordinary graphs, tables and other objects. I want to show the end user another page that gets info from OBIEE requests and show them in a different way, with a more user-friendly exhibition.
If end-user wants to go from here to a more detailed view, then It could display OBIEE regular dashboards and graphs.
I know this won't be easy nor have a simple answer to this question.
But if I could make myself clear, then you guys could give me some pointers of how could I achieve such results.
    Thanks in Advance!
    Marcos

You can access the OBIEE data via ODBC but only on Windows machines. If you install the client tools you will get the BI Server ODBC server which you can use to connect any Wep Application to OBIEE. If you want to integrate OBIEE within another site see this post, it might give an idea:

  • Why am I and my Flash app users continuously bombared with "A script in this movie is causing Macromedia Flash Player-"

I'm experiencing a severe backlash from users of Flash
applications due to the frustration generated from encountering a
continuous bombardment of messages during the intialization of
    Flash applications that reads:
"A script in this movie is causing Macromedia Flash Player 8
to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become
unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?"
What's worse is there are only two, very limited options for
users. The first is to continue on and the second is to simply
abandon the app and apparently forget about trying to accomplish
whatever it was you were accessing the application for. I'm going
to continue scouring Live Docs, Google, etc and hopefully I'll be
able to post my own answer soon. In the meantime, any input on the
    matter would be VERY welcome.
Can anyone shed some light on this please?

You're saying "users of Flash applications." Do you mean
    *all* Flash
    applications? Or just one?

You don't have to scour very far. This message occurs when
    something
inside a given SWF file is poorly written -- perhaps an
    infinitely recursing
function, perhaps some other un-optimized looping or an
    incredible amount of
unchecked math operations. But this certainly isn't something
    that just
    happens.
Can you nail this to one particular file? If so, the
    developer of that
file needs to start troubleshooting her/her own code.
