Iwork Pages templates

In need of a modern product catalogue template. Suggestions to where i can download? thanks

This is a topic that comes up fairly regularly (but not necessarily in connection with this specific type of template).
There are a few sources for templates listed in this discussion: Re: iWork Templates
Also check Peggy's post in this one, hidden away under a different subject line: Re: Is there an improved version on the horizon?
A scan of the topics over the last few days will also bring up a couple of discussions that included links to other template sources.
Note that if you go to the web, you're not limited to Pages templates—you can also open and use templates written for MS Word. You will ned to change the file extension from .dot or .dotx to .doc or .docx respectively for Pages to recognize these as Word documents.

Barry

Sorry this forum is playing up again, refusing to take the image. Finally got it to bite.

  • IWork Pages template not printing correctly

I have used a template for my resume. In the template that says "First, Last", I typed my name. Like I am supposed to.
In the document it is correct. In the print preview it is correct. Yet when I print, instead of MY NAME it prints the words "first, last".
It's silly and I need these employers to actually know my name.
    Please help.
    Thanks.

I've just tested Vienna here and it works fine, name prints as expected.
Have you tried printing to pdf? What happens when you do?
    Peter
btw you never said what version of Pages you are using and what printer.

  • Directly Edit Apple iWork Pages Template

    Many apologies.
I am sure this must have been answered somewhere; but, can I find it?
Pages has a set of wonderful templates. However, I would like the facility to edit them.
For example, there is a template of the name Woodland Letter.
I can find the file, but I am unable to 'access for edit' the leaf or the light brown horizontal bar.
For example I would like to extend the bar's width further down the page by about 10mm.
    Thank you, in advance.

Apple uses many different ways to do the same things in the templates to demonstrate what is possible. Figuring out what they've done is not always easy. Choosing show layout & show invisibles is the best way to start figuring it out. The leaf & bar are Master Objects. Go to Format > Advanced & select Make Master Objects Selectable. The leaf, like the little picture, is an image placeholder, &, once it it is selectable, you can drag & drop another image into it. The bar is just a colored rectangle & you can change the fill color in the object inspector.

  • How do you navigate to:Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates/

The quote above is from the 09 User's guide.  I want to delete a template from My Templates but I can not find it using Finder.

  • I can't remove my own made templates (iWork, pages)

I looked up inside the "pages help" but couldn't resolve the problem of deleting the selfmade templates.

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The user's Library is hidden in Lion & Mountain Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list.
Or you can choose Go to Folder from Go menu in Finder & paste this line in the box:
    ~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Numbers/Templates/My Templates/

  • Adding Pages Templates

Using Pages 1.0.2. Just downloaded new Pages templates from KeynotePro but can't figure out how to load them.
I created a Templates folder in the Pages>iWorkfolder, but still I don't see the new templates.

    Hello DarqDiva,
go to the folder "<YourHD>/Users/<YourAccount>/Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates" and save the templates there or create a new folder beside the "My Template" folder and save them inside. It is important that you don't save the templates in the folder "Templates", because Pages will not see them there. They have to be saved inside of a folder inside of "Templates".
This folder name will be displayed in the bottom half of the left list column in the template choosing window.

  • Deleting Pages Templates:

I can't figure out how to delete a template from the MY TEMPLATES page.  I've read that the files are in: users/library/Application Support/iWork/Templates/My Template.  I can find Application support, but there is no iWORK folder.  A'm using Pages9.  Suggestions?

    Follow this Path exactly...
    users/yourname/library/application support/iwork/pages/templates/my templates
If using Lion... in Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu and your users Library will appear...

  • Organizing Pages Templates

I would like to eliminate some of the standard template in Pages '09 as well as organize the multitude of template that I have made into their own category within the template browser. However, I cannot figure out how to do this and I am very frustrated. Please Help.
    Thank You,
    Scott

    Hi Scott Ciolek,
The following is how to get to the default templates.
My disclaimer: Beware if something or anything goes wrong with Pages or iWork it's all your fault! This is a enduser assisting a enduser.
If you choose to proceed the onus is on you.
    To get to default templates:
Application > iWork 09 > Control Click or right click Pages icon > Show Package Contents > Contents > Resources > Templates. This is where the default templates reside.
As for organizing your own made templates by default they're placed: Home Folder > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. They are organized alphabetically.
That's the way it is, no need to be frustrated.
These Discussions are enduser helping enduser, not Apple employees answering questions. Apple provides these discussion forums for endusers however, Apple neither monitors nor engages in discussions. Enduser such as yourself when they have extra time answer questions.
Finally, if you mess things up for Pages don't call us we're end users. We pointed you where to go it was your choice to go there then mess with things.
Again, welcome to Pages '09 Discussions, have fun here.
    Cordially,
    RicD

  • Ca't Find Pages Template Folder

I have some templates that I am trying to migrate to my new mac but I can't find the template folder.
I am looking in: myaccount>Library>Application Support, but I can't seem to find the iWork folder.
I also looked in the system Library folder, there is an iWork folder, but no tamplate folder in there
I don't have any templates installed on the computer I am trying to migrate to.

The easiest way to create the template folder path to save a file as a template from within Pages. Your other option would be to copy iWork folder from Application Support in your user library on one Mac to the same location on the new Mac.

  • Pages templates and /Network/Library

Pages doesn't seem to use template files in any Library folder other than a User Library. Files in neither /System/Library nor /Network/Library appear in the template chooser.
I administer an Xserve with a shared Open Directory domain, and I have a Library folder published to network clients so that it appears in /Network/Library. Most applications seem to honor /Network/Library; for example, I have a company Fonts directory in there for font sharing.
I assumed I'd be able to create a path like this:
    /Network/Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/<My Templates>
and it should show any templates saved there in the Template Chooser whenever you do File > New in Pages. However it doesn't work.
    Any ideas? Shouldn't this work?

I have to agree with your post here. I have just tried to do the exact same thing and was suprised to find it didn't work.
    Very poor.
I am now going to have to look at creating and distributing a templates package to all users. Talk about pain in the rear.
