J2EE problem while accessing RMI server

Hi,
I have a J2EE application in Oracle 9iAS server, I have created an application which access a RMI Server runs in a different PC, it works fine in my /dev site, I moved the same files to /test site (Same machine but different context), which also access the same RMI Server, now my application throws the following error in /test site where as it is working perfectly in /dev site.
If you have any idea on this please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Venkat

Looks like ClassLoader tries to load different class. Check your classpath, check where are classes com/sgsap/feed/server/IFeed and if there are more than one such class, check why if your app is in /dev it is loading different class than when it is in /test.
Other solution could be that something gone wrong while compilation. Are you sure you was not recompiling any code between testing it on /dev and on /test?
I do not know, I am just trying to give some clues.

    This is one of the least satisfactory aspects of site management in Dreamweaver, and several developers, including myself, have been pressuring the Dreamweaver team for some years to improve this. Who knows? They might eventually take notice.
    The only way to do this at the moment is to create two site definitions, one nested inside the other. Set up the site definition normally based on htdocs as your site root. Then create a new site definition based on site. Dreamweaver will nag you that it can cause problems, but it won't actually stop you from doing it. The only potential problem is with site synchronization.
    The problem with using site as the only basis for your site definition is that Dreamweaver automatically puts things like the Connections, Scripts, and other folders in the site root. So, everything ends up at the wrong level of the site hierarchy. Quite frankly, the whole thing is a bit of a pain. Dynamic site development was added to Dreamweaver only in version 6 (Dreamweaver MX), and no one had really thought through the need to store files outside the site root.

    Use lower case letters for your variable names (name, pwd). The code works then.
    package com.bluenile.bean;

    private String pwd="Pword";

    this.name = name;
    void setPwd(String pwd)
    this.pwd = pwd;

  • Problem while running SOA Server

    Hi, i'm trying to starting SOA server. I started Admin Server successfully but I have problems while starting SOA server. When i'm trying to do that i get many errors, last three lines in console are following:
    12 mismatched character '<EOF>' expecting '"'
    tform is running and accepting requests
    12 mismatched character '<EOF>' expecting '"'
    When i'm trying to do start SOA server by administration console (settings of soa_server1 -> Control -> Start/Stop -> check soa_server1 and click Start) I get: Certificate chain received from localhost - 127.0.0.1 failed hostname verification check. Certificate contained Pawe?-Komputer but check expected localhost
    Could you help me? If it will be necessary I will write more info.
    Thanks in advance

  • Java Web Services accessing rmi server

    Hi,
    I want to access the rmi server from a java web services.My java web services is running under Sun application server9.The rmi server is not using any application server.Please help me to sort out the problem.
    Bye
    Binay

    What's the problem exactly? I assume you understand that the RMI server has to run like any RMI server, it has to bind itself into a Registry; the Web server acts as an RMI client so it has to look up the Registry to get a remote reference so it can call the required remote methods.

  • Error while registering RMI Server

    I have a system connected to bradband with a static ip. I am planning to use this as the RMI server and any system connected to the internet as the client. Is this possible....?
    I tried to bind the name to the registry and I get the following error.

    what do you mean by intranet address?
    If you use some NAT device (e.g, DSL, cable) that it is likely you won't be able to access the registry using the external IP address. In such case you need to open the registry port in the firewall.

    Something I am not sure.
    On the SUN's tutorial , the follows is given:
    Win32:

    -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=zaphod.east.sun.com

    I changed hostname = localhost
    I also changed the code of the server class given by tutorial :
    String name = "//host/Compute" ;
    to:
    String name = "//localhost/Compute";
    Should I make such changes?
    Here is the server class given by the tutorial:

    I changed hostname = localhost
    I also changed the code of the server class given by tutorial :
    String name = "//host/Compute" ;
    to:
    String name = "//localhost/Compute";
    Should I make such changes?
    Here is the server class given by the tutorial:
    package engine;
    import java.rmi.*;
    import java.rmi.server.*;
    import compute.*;
    public class ComputeEngine extends UnicastRemoteObject
    implements Compute
    public ComputeEngine() throws RemoteException {
    super();
    public Object executeTask(Task t) {
    return t.execute();
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    if (System.getSecurityManager() == null) {
    System.setSecurityManager(new RMISecurityManager());
    String name = "//host/Compute";
    try {
    Compute engine = new ComputeEngine();
    Naming.rebind(name, engine);
    System.out.println("ComputeEngine bound");
    } catch (Exception e) {
    System.err.println("ComputeEngine exception: " +
                   e.getMessage());
    e.printStackTrace();

  • Problem in accessing application server file using open dataset

    Hi All,
    I am trying to access application server file using open dataset command, its working fine for normal path which imention. But when i am giving path of XI server file, its not working. How to access XI server file using open dataset. Please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vishal

    Hi Vishal,
    You need to verify if the location where you are trying to save the file is in the same server of SAP. In case that the location is in other server you need to map that directy into the same server of SAP.
    You need to point always to a location in the same server of SAP, in order that the open dataset could work.

  • Problem XP accessing Leopard Server Shares

    Hi there,
    I have read through a lot of posts but have not exactly found my problem. So here it goes:
    I have made a clean install of Leopard Server on a Xserve G5 and set it up as "Standard".
    By default AFP and SMB are turned on, so Windows XP users should be able to read and write.
    While setting it up with "Server Assistant", I added users. These, however, had vanished from the earth when I booted the server for the first time.
    I then updated to 10.5.1.
    By logging in as root via "Server preferences" I added the accounts manually (again).
    Now the thing is that everything works fine from a Mac. I can access Public and read/write to it.
    Windows Users, however, cannot log into the server. They see my xserve but when they put it their username and password, nothing happens.
    The only way I got this to work, is to add all my users locally using "Workgroup Manager". Then my users can log in and everything seems to work.
    From my limited understanding this is not really what I should do though.
    I have read that this might have something to do with the DNS server.
    But I use the xserve as a standalone server that get's all its information from a DHCP router that's connected to the internet. So there's no local DNS server.
    I would like to point out that the exact setup (minus the local users) worked great under 10.3.9.
    Any ideas?
    -chris.

    OK, after having talked to some Apple support guy, I totally was about to give up. He pretty much told me to do a re-install in advanced mode. Apparently, they are aware that standard configurations just don't work as advertised.
    But I fiddled around a bit more and finally solved the issues I had, so I wanted to share that with the community.
    Basically what I did was this:
    1. I set up DNS service using "Server Admin" (I am not sure if that was necessary but I did it anyways)
    2. I "kerberized" my Open Directory service in "Server Admin". that made it possible to add users with "open directory passwords". it was enough to hit the "kerberize" button, so so went unexpectedly well.
    3. I changed all passwords to open directory passwords.
    4. I went back to "Server Preferences" to re-enable all services for users. those somehow got unchecked by whatever Server Admin did. probably you can do that in Server Admin/Workgroup manager, too, but I am not sure how and what I did at least worked.
    Now everything seems to function properly. SMB as well as AFP access works and everyone has read/write-access to Public.
    -chris.

    plzz reply fast........

    Hi Frank,
    Are you using standalone OC4J or 9iAS ? If you are using standalone OC4J then you need to add a proper data source entry in %OC4J_HOME%j2ee\home\config\data-sources.xml file.
    If you are using 9iAS the you can log in to the Enterprise Manager console and add the data source entry by using wizard provided by 9iAS.
    Ensure the case of the JNDI lookup string, since, it is case sensitive.
    Hope this helps.

    For installing JSTL, all you need are the jar files in the web-inf/lib directory.
    - No entries in web.xml
    - no tld files lying around
    - no problems!
    I think you may have a versioning problem here.
    What version of Tomcat are you using?
    With JSP1.2 (eg Tomcat 4), you should be using JSTL1.0. <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" %>
    With JSP2.0 (eg Tomcat 5), you should use JSTL1.1. <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
    Note the difference in the URIs. - the second one includes a /jsp
    Currently you are using the URI for JSTL1.0, but you look to have the tld from JSTL1.1. If you are using a JSP1.2 container, I don't think it could read this tld file, hence the error.
    Try installing the correct version of JSTL, properly (ie as they tell you in the readme file) and it should all work.

  • Problem while starting weblogic server 10.3.3.0

    Hi,
    I have installed the Weblogic server 10.3.3.0 on machine which has Microsoft Windows XP 2002, Service pack3. RAM - 2GB
    On that Weblogic server 10.3.3.0 i have installed SOA 11.1.1.2.0 and applied the patch set 2 on SOA 11.1.1.2.0 to upgrate it to SOA 11.1.1.3.0. I have used XE database which is installed on another machine.
    After the installation of SOA 11.1.1.3.0 I have created one domain.

    Hi
    Go to your soa domain root folder/bin and open setSOADomainEnv.cmd file in any text editor. Search for -Xmx1024m and replace that with -Xmx512m. I would prefer copy this entire line and comment one old line and edit the new line with this new value of 512m. So that you know what you changed later on. I do something like this on my side
    REM JEGGA changed -Xmx1024m to -Xmx512m
    set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m -Xmx512m
    REM set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m -Xmx1024m
    Now you should be able to start the domain. Still 2GB is kind of low memory to start SOA Domain with AdminServer and managed server. One other option you have is while Creating SOA Domain, do NOT use all the defaults, instead check the boxes like to changed managed servers etc. And remove the soa managed server during this process and remove the cluster. Just have only one Admin Server and all the SOA Modules deployed to this AdminServer only. In this way, you will have SOA Domain with only one AdminServer and you can start this admin server alone. You can deploy any SOA Application on this domain and it should work fine.
    Refer this thread for creating single server soa domain:
    Re: Combining two WLS domains
