J2re1.4.2_03-b02 error

I got this error trying to install j2re1.4.2_03-b02:
Error 1311: Source file not found: C:\java\ja142000.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
Anybody knows what can I do to fix it???

I guess, sun needs to resolve this. but it looks like they are not interested in java or users using it...

  • Segfault - JRE2 1.4.2_03-b02/win98se

    I'm at a lose :(
    On cold boot, I can run any java program. ie. Java Web app, etc.
    but once I close java program and try to start any java program
    a second time, I get "java caused invalid segfault" module unknown.
    It seems strange that everything runs fine the first time but
    after closing and trying again it seg faults.
    (not cleaning up, releasing something?)
    I've disabled everything I can on start up.
    Found and uninstalled msjava, by running regsvr32 -u <path to msjava>
    and then deleting msjava.dll
    Uninstalled/reinstalled JRE several times.
    Updated Nvidia drivers, orginally had DDHELP caused invalid
    page fault module NVDD32.DLL
    I've installed JRE on several machines win98se and have
    never had this problem. Not sure what to try next to
    keep it running?

    ok, don't know why, but.........
    uninstalled;
    j2re_1_4.exe - 1.4.2_03-b02
    installed;
    (back dated)
    j2re-1_4_0_01-windows-i586.exe - 1.4.0_01-b03
    And all is well now.

  • Error always causes IE shutdown

    I only recently started having this error occur when using IE and accessing various websites. My browser will close down and a file called "hs_err_pidxxxx.log" will appear on my desktop. The "xxxx" refers to some number. This occurred so much that I finally uninstalled the Java SDK, JRE, web plugins, Web Start, etc., and then did a fresh reinstall. Unfortunately, I'm still getting the same problems. Below is the exact contents of the "hs_err_pid3092.log" file. I've only glanced through them, but these files all seem to be the same, i.e. they are generated by the same error. It's a bit lengthy, but for those of you who know what to look for, can you tell what's going on?

    I am having a issue installing Adobe Acrobat XI.  I am running Windows 8.1. When  go to install it gets an error.  The error is with transform in registry and will not install product. I am looking at how I can fix this registry problem.
    I have tried to uninstall all Abode Acrobat installations but one file remains and refuses to be uninstalled. It gives me this error : Error applying Transforms . Verify that specified paths are valid. It was installed on Sept 18 2014.  I have downloaded a Transform update but it tells I do not have a Adobe Acrobat product installed.

    Hi all,
    Sylonious, did you manage to sort this problem out? I have been experiencing similar problems. I think my problem was because I had many different versions of JDKs. I have done a complete re-install. I would be really grateful to you (and anyone else) for help with this problem.
    I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
    When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
    When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
    Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
    I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.
    Please help !
    Regards,
    Vipul

  • Solution Manager 4.0 SR1 on iseries - Error on step CallOfflineCTC

    I'm installing a Solution Manager 4.0 SR1 on iseries using SAPinst/TMKSRV from Windows XP client.

    So, the installation continue with success.
    Then, in the phase 40 of 40 (the LAST!!!!), "Prepare to install minimal configuration", the installation stopped with the following error messages:

  • Java(TM) Plug-in 1.4.2_03 under Mandrake/Linux and Mozilla

    I'm having problems getting applets to load/run using Mandrake/Linux 9.2 and Mozilla 1.6. Apparently the classes are failing to load.
    about:plugins in Mozilla shows that it has the Java plugin loaded, but when I try to test it using one of the sample applets at http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.4/demo/applets/Clock/example1.html, I get the errors shown below in the Java Console.
    I have a link in my plugins directory linking to:
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 tim tim 67 Jan 17 22:33 libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_03/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so*
    I PRESUME I've got some sort of configuration error, but I'm unsure where to begin to look - any help will be greatly appreciated!

    To determine if your browser can view applets, try
    viewing the "Cubic" applet on the following page..
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/2d/display/Cubi
    .html
    You will notice that you can manipulate the pattern of
    the applet by dragging the colored squares. Thanks for the pointer - it does, indeed, work as expected.
    It's a bummer that the "sample applets" are screwy, as that seems like a good place to go to confirm that you have everything configured right (well, it DID seem like a good place to go - it seems quite a bit less good now).
    Thanks for the help,

  • JNI problems (findclass and vm error)

    Hi,
    First please apologize if this question has already been asked. I've looked at the archives and I haven't found any answer to these problems. Thanks to take the time to read this quite long post, but I've tried to be sufficiently explicit...
    So, here's what I want to do: in the native code, generate a list (ArrayList) with some integers in it. I must add that I'm not a Java expert.
    Here's the java code calling the native function:
    package be.ac.umrtc;
    public class Main {
         public native List computeRoute(int src, int dst, float reservation)
         static{
              System.loadlibrary("cspf");
         public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception{
         List path = new Main().computeRoute(lsp.getFrom(),lsp.getTo(),lsp.getReservation());
    Now the native code:
    #include <jni.h>
    #include "be_ac_umrtc_Main.h"
    JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_be_ac_umrtc_Main_computeRoute(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jint src, jint dst, jfloat reservation){
         arraylistClass = (*env)->FindClass(env,"/java/util/ArrayList");
         if (arraylistClass == NULL){
              return NULL; // exception thrown
         cid = (*env)->GetMethodID(env,arraylistClass,"<init>","()V");
         if (cid == NULL){
              return NULL; // exception thrown
         arraylist = (*env)->NewObject(env, arraylistClass, cid);
         tempClass = (*env)->GetObjectClass(env,arraylist);
         jmethodID mid = (*env)->GetMethodID(env,tempClass,"add","(Ljava/lang/Object;)Z");
         while (longListPopBack(&computedroute,&value2)!=-1){
              fprintf(stderr,"Valeur de value: %d\n", value2);
              if (mid==0){
                   return;
              fprintf(stderr,"%d\n", bool = (*env)->CallBooleanMethod(env, arraylist, mid, value2));
    (*env)->DeleteLocalRef(env, arraylistClass);
    return arrayList;
    I get a NoClassDefFoundError on java/lang/ArrayList.
    So, I've tried to pass a List object "path" as argument to the native method (created in java)
    and proceed with:
    arraylistClass = (*env)->GetObjectClass(env,path);
    instead of FindClass.
    It seems to work well, the first call to callBoleanMethod returns 1. But then, the next call in the loop ends in a VM ERROR:

    The questions are thus:
    1. why does FindClass not work?
    2. why does the second call to callboleanmethod fails?
    Thanks a lot for your help.
    Olivier

    Thanks, so now I just want to return an array of integers.
    int[] computeRoute(...); in JAVA
    JNIEXPORT jintArray JNICALL Java_be_ac_umrtc_Main_computeRoute(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jint src, jint dst, jfloat reservation){
    int intarray[size];
    return intarray;
    does not work
    I've tried casting : return (jintArray) intarray;
    but no success
    How can I create a jintArray? And then how to insert elements in this jintArray? I've seen in the books and the tutorial how to get element from such a jintArray passed as argument... but how to create it (how to fix size when creating it) and how to set elements is not evident to me.
    Thanks for your patience.

    There is a bug in Oracle with Fedora.
    If u want your oracle works, you'll have to set LANG variable to NULL
    unset LANG
    Now all works

  • Error in kernel32.dll

    does anyone know when and how an error in kernel32.dll for
    windows (win2000) occurs? im using java 1.4.x.
    thanks in advance.
    - ian

    well i just had one saying that Java has caused an error in kernel 32.dll.
    after running trying and trying it again this message didnt appear anymore
    but the program hanged now with no error. before ive encountered another
    wierd problem where in java hangs whenever i get the default look and feel
    of windows or when i create JFileChooser. i was just wondering if the kernel
    error i got has something to do with there errors.
    here are the thread dump for each. see if you guys can find something wierd in these.

    Solved
    Just do these things.... If you initially complied your classes in jdk1.5 and if u r trying to run the same in 1.4.2 or other.. The already compiled classes will be expecting jdk 1.5 JRE for their runtime execution. So what u have to do is......
    1.stop ur sever
    2.delete the work directory in tomcat
    3.Delete the work directory in your projects web-app Folder
    4.Now cleann the project... Build... and Run Again ... . It should work...
    if still it dont , i prefer use only jdk1.4.2 on system.. set enviorment variebles for it...Reinstall tomcat .. and do above mentioned steps ,,, This should solve the problem...

    Hi Folks,
    I am trying to upgrade my project from "java 1.4.2_03-b02" to "java 1.5.0-beta2-b51". I run my pre-compiled project by using a "runProject.bat" file and use "java" command of "java 1.5.0-beta2-b51" then project is running fine. I am facing two problems as below:
    1- When browsing for some location by using JFileChooser dialog of my project, I get warning messages with title "Problem with Shortcut" and message is "The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'test.txt.lnk' refers to is unavailable......". This message appears with different file shortcut names one by one. HOW CAN I GET RID OF IT?
    2- I am using "JBuilder 7" to compile/re-build my project. If I configure "java 1.5.0-beta2-b51" to compile/re-build my project then compiler gives error message "method: main signature: ([Ljava/lang/String;)V) Incompatible object argument for function call" and terminates compiling. WHAT AM I MISSING AND WHAT SHOULD I DO/READ?
    Can you please guide me to resolve these all or anyone?
    Regards,
    Pakigem

  • Loadjava error - ORA-29552

    Hi,
    Trying to load java into the database and get the following errors on some of the classes it is trying to generate:
    ORA-29552: verification warning: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: genproxy/types/ViewProfile (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
    Further down I get the following where resolving is trying to sort it out:
    bad class file: null
    class file has wrong version 49.0, should be 48.0
    Anyone help me with what this means and how I can resolve this?
    Regards
    David

    Hi Avi,
    Thanks for the link, just in time as I was scratching my head as to where to go! I have checked the version of Java outside the database:
    D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\dev01\jdk\bin>java -version
    java version "1.5.0_04"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_04-b05)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.5.0_04-b05, mixed mode)
    I then checked an older install Oracle 10.1.x.x and the java outside is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\David>java -version
    java version "1.4.2_03"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_03-b02)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_03-b02, mixed mode)
    This seems to indicate that the earlier release is aligned, maybe an option if all else fails.

  • Loadjava - error ORA-29552 in resolving

    Problems when loading java classes to oracle 9.0.1.
    Classes compile fine, but when using loadjava (options -t -v -r) there's errors at resolving stage.
    Here's the explanations I've found for the error (ORA-29552), but I still have no clue how to fix this?
    ORA-29552
    In some situations, the resolver allows a class to be marked valid, but will replace bytecodes in the class to throw an exception at runtime. In these cases, the resolver issues an ORA-29552 (verification warning), which loadjava will report. The loadjava tool issues this warning when the Java Language Specification would require an IncompatibleClassChangeError be thrown. Oracle JVM relies on the resolver to detect these situations, supporting the proper runtime behavior that the JLS requires.
    ORA-29552 verification warning: string
    Cause: An attempt was made to create a Java class object with bytecodes that caused the Java verifier to issue a warning.
    Action: It is possible that the Java class was created from a damaged class file, in which case the CREATE should be reattempted with a correct class file. It is also possible that the message is the result of using "-" in the resolver so that the verifier could not check the correctness of some code. In that case, the class needs to be created with a resolver.
    Any ideas?
