JAG error: duplicate definition of class

Hi,
When I run the JAG it adds duplicate class definitions to my JPR file. For example:
Error(21,8): duplicate definition of class ky.gov.pwdwo.model.bc4j.handler.PwdWorkOrderHandlerImpl
I can compile and run the application after I remove the duplicates from the JPR file.
Any thoughts?

This can happen if the source path defined in the JHeadstart Application Structure File does not match the source path of the project properties. You probably already had existing handlers in the project's source path, and then JHeadstart generates another set in the source path indicated by the Application Structure File (which appear in the System Navigator under Miscellaneous Files).
So if you change the Application Structure File's source path setting to be equal to the source path of your project, and remove the handlers from the other path, then it should be OK.

I moved a class from one directory to another. Now JDev 3.0 gives me the error "Duplicate definition of class x".
I've tried rebuild. I've tried deleteing all the class files. I've tried exiting JDev and restart it.
I still get the error. How do I get rid of this error?

I can compile just the class x with no problem. When I do a make or rebuild of the project, then the problem happens.

JSP - duplicate definition of method

Hello all Java Gurus: I am kind of new to java, and am having issue with an application. When I compile an application, I get an error "duplicate definition of method" in few of the jsp pages. This is because the include pages are getting duplicated.
Any way to get around it?

If you declare the methods static, then you don't need to instantiate a class to call the method.
But I wouldn't worry. Instantiating classes is cheap, though Database connections would be expensive. They should be served from a JNDI datasource.
That I instantiate the class once, and the object is available across multiple jsp pages.....You could always define the bean as application scoped attribute, available to all resources.
It depends - what do the methods do? Are they completely independant of the object? Then make them static.
If not, then you need to instantiate it, and keep in mind what the scope of the variable needs to be for threading purposes.

JDG 10.1.2 is an extension of the JDeveloper ADF Business Components Generator. In general, you can check if a problem is caused by that underlying generator by running that generator separately. You can run this from the model project, choose New, select Business Tier, and then Business Components. Select "Business Components Generated from Oracle Designer".
In this case, maybe you are running into a known bug of the ADF BC Generator (JDeveloper bug 4284270):
Double Attributes is generated in the Java file of Entity object when you have more than one Foreign Keys between the same two Tables. Accessor Attributes are generated with identical names for each FK in the Associations. This results in double names for the item constants in the implementation class of the Entity.
Workaround:
Rename the accessors manually by double-clicking the Entity Association, selecting the Association Properties category, and typing in different (more meaningful) Accessor Names.

SCM-JDeveloper 9.0.3i: Duplicate Definition

I am using Oracle 9.0.3.10.90(the latest download on the net) and Oracle Repository Release 9.0.2.91.22. The problem occurs when I do a checkin of my project file and check out. Some of the files do not compile when I do a make on the project file with the error : duplication definition of class [classname] . But,when I compile the file alone, it does compile properly. I would appreciate if someone lets me know what could be the plausible causes for this error!

Wscompile error : duplicate

environment: JAX-RPC Standard Implementation (1.1.2_01, build R40)
Server: Sun Application Server 8.0
Problem Statement:
We have two schemas suppose abc.xsd and cde.xsd which refer to one another i.e. abc.xsd imports cde.xsd and vice-versa (circular referencing).
There is a WSDL that imports in the type definition another schema say A.xsd which in turn imports abc.xsd. config-wsdl.xml refers to this WSDL.
On running the following command to generate server side artifacts:
wscompile -gen:server -d build -classpath build -mapping mapping.xml config-wsdl.xml
we get the following error:
error: modeler error: duplicate "element" entity
Is there any mechanism (like setting a flag/using some option )by which wscompile should include definitions of the schemas only once or some other solution to overcome this duplicate element entity error. Since there is no control over xsd's, we cannot modify the schema.

I have a duplicate error of another reason. I try to generate client stubs on a WSDL which has many identical type names but in different namespaces.
- Is there any way to tell wscompile to map the different namspaces automatically to different packagenames?
There will be more and more such webservices with identical types in different namespaces in it. I have to use them and I wan't have the possibility to write for each single webservice explicit namspace / packagename mappings in the config files.
- Does somebody know a solution?

For those who would have the same problem, here is how I could eventually fix it.
Since the Flex Test Drive is sometimes out of sync with flash builder 4, I recreated a project using other help pages on Adobe site :

As suggested, I used the New Project wizard to create a new project, with :
Application server type : J2EE
Check the radio button "Use remote object access service : BlazeDS"
Then, as indicated in following pages (section "Accessing BlazeDS")... :

Suggestion to adobe staff : maybe it would be useful to update the Flex Test Drive to reflect Flash Builder 4 ?

I started getting a weird error on my XI RFC Connections, because of this I can't connect to my SLD.
When testing the RFC connection "AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER", Ai_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER, LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI (trans sm59) I get the following error:

I'm trying to use import com.adobe.crypto.* on Windows version of my App but get error 1172:Definition com.adobe.crypto could not be found

The Mac version of my Air app works fine, so does the iPad version, but the PC version has been a bit of a nightmare.
I keep getting the error "1172:Definition com.adobe.crypto could not be found", when I publish it.
Basically the 'com' folder is in the same directory as the app I am publishing and within that is 'adobe' and within that is 'crypto' within that is a series of .as files.
I've added C:\Users\Gary\Documents\My_Applications\My_App_folder\com\adobe\crypto to source path list (I have no idea if that's right).
But that just gives me a different error 5001: The name of package com.adobe.crypto does not reflect the location of this file. Please change the package definitions name inside the file.......
I didn't have to include this source in the Mac version... but someone seemed to suggest it on a forum.
I'm basically stabbing in the dark at the mount, something I seem to be doing a lot of these days. :-(

I've figured it out
Turns out I needed to add a source path (in the Actionscript 3 settings click on the Source File Tab) that exactly matches the directory the app and com folder is inside of. I wrongly assumed that Adobe Air could figure out where it was for itself, but no.... it needs to be told where to look for the com folder even though it's staring it right in its face. (Don't set the path to the 'com' folder itself, but to the enclosing folder that the .fla and the com is in).
The Mac version doesn't seem to need that, it just finds the com folder if it's inside the same folder.
Now I've got another massive error:-
When I test the app, it works fine sending to Air for Desktop, however when I publish with embedded runtime for Windows.... It comes up with this error.
Any ideas ?

Expanding and clarifying what BJD said;
After you create the temporary sub-VI that BJD mentioned, open its front panel and copy the reference control that LV created when it created the sub-VI.
This reference control will be correct class etc that you need. Use the control to replace the original control that you were attempting to wire up.
The technique of "create sub-VI...copy" always works for me.
There is one more thing that you should watch out for.
The mechanical action of the boolean can not be set for latch action when attempting to read the value using a value property node.

Error while creating model classes, operation aborted in NWDS

Hi All,
When i select Adaptive rfc 2 model and then search for the RFC, when i select RFC and click on next i get an error while importing :
Error while creating model classes, operation aborted.
It is working fine in visual composer and i have activated function module, RFC but getting same error. It is also working in web service navigator also.
Can any one help me out??

I have tested the JCO destinations they are working fine and i created a new pair of JCO destinations but unable to import the Adaptive RFC2 Model gives same error but Adaptive webservices are working fine in my NWDS7.2

I am unable to create model in other projects also.
I have sufficient amount of memory in my drive.
I have imported the DC to other NWDS but it gives same error.

Syntax error, insert "}" to complete Class body.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to create simple Adobe form with WebDynpro for java. Java error in autogenerated class appears "Syntax error, insert "}" to complete Class body". As I see, java class really corrupted - there are no "}" at the class end.
Really appreciate any help.

Do we have any extra things to execute the Java mapping using the Sax Parser?
When I am executing the interface mapping ,I am getting the" Linkage error when loading the class" error.

File does not Upload ! Error in the listener class com.sap.ip.portal...

Hello.
Recently, I Add a New Server Node on Java Central Instance.
And Java Program Upload on Portal, then following error occured.
Error in the listener class com.sap.ip.portal.admin.portalanywhere.QueryHandler during the process of
handleTopic
Original server node can upload successfully.
But, An error happens in New Additional node.
Please tell me way to resolve the error.
