Japanese Character Problem Yet Again!!

Hi,
While trying to run a query( containing Japanese characters ) through my java code, I get the following SQLException:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Unclosed quotation mark before the character string '[email protected]'.
However if I run the same query through the SQL Query Interfcae manager, it runs just fine.
I am attaching the query too.
Insert into Registration(nvchCustomerID,dtCreationDate,nvchLoginID,nvchPassword,nvchRemindQuestion,nvchOtherRemindQuestion, nvchRemindAnswer,intReceiveEmail,nvchEmailAddress) values('NI200205010001','20020501','ydipak','ydipak','l','null','ydipak',1,'[email protected]');
Any help in this direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards

Thw simplest solution to this problem is to use PreparedStatement.
prepare a statement like insert into table values(?,?,?,?,?)
and use bind variables like
pstmt.setString(1,"l")
pstmt.setString(2,"l")
etc...

  • (Urgent ) Japanese Character Problem

    Hi!
I work in NEW japan project.(I am korean)
Our oracle database characterset is 'US7ASCII'.
    JSP encoding is 'EUC_JP'.
I cannot input japanese character into database.
Any japanese people ,Please help me!

    You can't insert multibyte encodings into a US7ASCII databse. That's a
7 bit encoding if I have my oracle names straight. I support several
different languages in one database, so I use a UTF-8 database. You
should figure out what your current and future support requirements are
and then determine what encoding will support those requirements.

  • Japanese character problem while downloading file to application server

    Hello All,
We are facing a strange problem while downloading a file to application server when file contains japanese text.
We are downloading vendor and customer information in a flat file format on application server. When the login language is EN program show ouput in a properly formatted manner.
When the login language is JA (japanese) program does download file with customer vendor data. I can see the description is japanese language but the formatting is gone for a toss.
We are facing similar issue with other programs downloading files on the application server.
I am using OPEN DATASET........ENCODING DEFAULT. and working on unicode enabaled ECC 6.0 system
    Quick help appriciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi
Sometimes this also happens because of your desktop setting.Make sure that your OS also supports the JAPANESSE language.
Ask your technical support team to enable them in your desktop.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Another X48C problem, yet again

I read some threads and found that some are having same problem as me, however, my problem is slightly different.
    Thermaltake Toughpower 750watts
    Q9450 C1 with X48c
1 lg and 1 sony dvd drive
    Seagate barracuda 1/2 terabyte(500gb)
    Powercolour 3870x2
    corsair xms2 DHX 4gb kit
The problem actually started a few wweeks ago when everything, including the mouse, hangs. However a few weeks ago this problem can be solved by a rebooting
Yesterday when i rebooted, the fan turns on and off, sometimes it spinturn for merely a second, or it will spin at a very fast speed then slow down, and then turns itself off again
I tried reseting the cmos a few times(i duno why). I did get into bios and optimised default settings, it hangs after my windows vista loading bar, after another restart it gets into windows, but hangs.
Now when i push the power button, it just spins for a sec, or for a long time, before offing itself.
I took out my ram and gpu and put them back again, but still having the same problem
Is the board dead? anyway to get it to start? i need to use it for more 'demanding work applications'
ADD ON: I cannnot get into bios, i have seen replies of booting from usb, but i cannot get into bios to set 'boot from removable'
    Thanks in advance

Try switch off Alimentation cable few minuts (2-3) Do clear CMOS 30sec try again if it don't boot can be damaged bios

  • MacBook Pro Boot Problems Yet Again

Earlier last month, I posted a topic about how my Macbook Pro "crashed" and I ended up having to reformat my HD and it was working fine afterwards as long as I didn't install any OS X updates.
Just yesterday my Macbook started to just randomly freeze every two seconds when I went to open something, or type a simple word, or just when it started up & loaded the desktop period.
I ran the disk utility to try to verify/repair the disk and that did not work, I kept receiving the message "disk cannot be repaired, please backup, reformat and restore, blah blah" ...
    PROBLEM IS.
Now when I turn it on, it always wants to boot in safe mode, but as the little bar is loading, it shuts the entire computer off before it even finishes loading (it starts to load and about less than a min later it shuts off). It happens EVERY TIME I turn my Mac on. What is the problem? Does AppleCare cover this? I've only had my Mac less than a year and already I'm experiencing problems that I shouldn't be having AT ALL.
I don't live close to an apple store, and I'm in college, so I can't just up and drive hours away to find a store.
I have an iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th Generation now I'm afraid to even sync it with the Mac when it is fixed because I don't want to lose everything.

Look at these data recovery tools if you aren't backed up:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html#RECOVER
Purchase AppleCare if you haven't already.  You can do so anytime in the first year.
AppleCare by phone can usually with notebooks setup a mailin to repair with as little as 36 hour turn around in the U.S.    The issue you are having may actually be a dying hard drive, or it may just need purchasing Alsoft Disk Warrior, or it may be a power supply issue or RAM issue.  As long as it is Apple installed RAM, that's normally covered under warranty if nothing was dropped or damaged by bumping.  Same with power supply.  A bad power supply in the room can cause power supplies on computers to fail.  A good APC surge protector can help protect a computer against spikes and surges not caused by lightning and some poor power.  Other poor power has to be diagnosed by an electrician. Good luck!

  • Wireless problems, yet again :(

Hi im new here but im hoping maybe someone can help me out
I have had problems with BT's Wireless for some time now, I will always get disconnected, so I always have to keep changing the channel which sometimes works, but now my computer will not even connect wirelessly at all but  I can connect through an ethenet cable, anyway while I try to connect wirelessly this message keeps coming up
"The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network", now I have tried changing the channels that does nothing, I have reset the internet nothing, I also tried changing the channel selection from manual to automatic and still nothng, even when I call for help the only things they told me to do I have already done, Im getting quite fed up of having to try and sort these problems, If anyone has any idea of how they can help me I would be very greatful.

You have probably already tried this but:-
Make sure you have the correct SSID & Wifi Encryption passphrase handy.
Remove ALL the wifi SSID connections from you Adaptor & temporarily close the Networking Box. (to make sure the settings are updated.)
Open the Network settings dialogue & re-enter the correct SSID & passphrase.
    I hope that helps?

  • Restate my problem - YET AGAIN

I have simply created a loader that loads up a swf. Then that
loaded swf needs a way of removing the content that is first
visible in the new swf. The new swf creates a loader, but it simply
loads over the top of that first lot of content rather than
    removing it.
Even though Im specifying an index eg: loadChildAt(1,loader)
it doesnt replace the content sitting there from the previous
loader, just places it over the top etc.
    HELP!!

I think there is a misunderstanding of how objects a stacked
    in display list.
When you place an object into a certain index (z-position) -
the object that resided in this position is not removed/replaced
but is moved one level up - and all the objects above the new
object are moved one position up. For instance, if you have three
    objects (top to bottom):
    objC in position 2
    objB in 1
    objA in 0
and you addChild(objD, 1); - your stack order become:
    objC in position 3
    objB in 2
    objD in 1
    objA in 0
An analogy could be slipping a card into a card deck.
There are no gaps in display list stacking order in AS3.
As for the stage nullification - frankly it looks a bit
strange for stage should always present. Try:
    while (stage.numChildren > 0) {
    stage.removeChildAt(0);

  • Snow Leopard and HP LaserJet 4mv print problem (yet again)

    All
This has been discussed before, I have read all the posts and I cannot get my iMac to print to my trusty Laserjet 4MV now that I am running SL 10.6.4
    I have tried:
Downloading the latest release of drivers
Loading the 'optional' packages off the SL DVD
    Downloading Gutenprint drivers
Configuring the 4MV for IP connection with 192.0.0.192 as the IP address and 255.255.255.0 as the subnet mask address then using 192.0.0.192 in the printer setup.
I have tried a 'cold restart' of the 4MV which has cleared all my settings and made 0.0.0.0 as the IP address and 0.0.0.0 as the default gateway.
None of these have caused the printer to be seen by the iMac.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
    Many thanks.
    Niall

    Kappy
You - If you open Network preferences what is the IP address of the Gateway address?
(Configure IPv4 is set to Using DHCP) IP is 192.168.254.100
You- What route are you using to connect to your cable/DSL modem? We have a Speedtouch 510 broadband router supplied by our broadband provider running into a 3Com OfficeSwitch 8 port box and Ethernet (Cat5) cabling out to points around the house.
You- Don't you have the user manual? Yes and its pretty hopeless. The online manual is more extensive but doesn't include a menu map for the MIO menu. I have found a step-through on the web and have now successfully changed the settings on the 4MV (probably to the wrong ones) and done a 'cold reset' back to the factory defaults (0.0.0.0).
I'm getting the impression that its the IP address that I've used that is wrong. I took 192.0.0.192 from the 4MV test menu printout. Should I have used the addressing from the Network Prefs?
    Regards and thanks.

  • Problem with Japanese character Codes

I have been working for a company which got a product to support the sms activities. We are developing a new feature which supports Japanese language as of now along with english. We developed a new character set called PDC which is a combination of the following Japanese character sets JIS + SHIFT- JIS+ KATAKANA + ASCII.
I am using Java API Charsets.jar to convert the bytes using the respective character sets to a STRING and presenting the converted STRING on a JSP.
The Problem is I am able to see the Jap Chars which belong to JIS + ASCII but not for KATAKANA and SHIFT-JIS.
I am using the below page tag in JSP.
    <%@ page contentType="text/html; charset = JIS " %>
I couldn't find any other tag specifically which supports all the character sets. Could some one please help me?
    Pradeep.

Okay... you developed a new character set... that's great. How's the browser supposed to know anything abou it?
Maybe just use UTF-8 which should support all of that and other languages as well and stop boxing yourself into a fixed charset.

  • My iPhone 5 crackles and pops loudly during calls (with and without speaker phone.)  I'm experiencing this same same issue on my third iPhone.  Is this a common problem?  Short of getting the phone replaced (yet again!) is there a solution?

My iPhone 5 frequently crackles and pops loudly during calls (while using speaker phone, as well as not using speaker phone.)  After being inspected by techs at the Genius Bar, my phone has been replaced twice; thus, I am currently on my third iPhone 5.  Incredibly, I am, yet again, experiencing the exact same issue. Short of getting my fourth iPhone, is anyone aware of a solution?

if it's the exact same issue, either it's a problem with your service or with your software if you're restoring from a backup each time. it's pretty darn near impossible for 3 phones to have the same exact hardware issue, so that's unlikely. is this an at&t iphone? if so, are you continuing to use the same sim card? if so, get a new one and try that out. if that's not the issue, restore the phone as new and make a few phone calls. if the issue's gone away, there's something wrong with your backup

  • Problem while uploading Japanese character to application server

    Hi Experts,
I have a text file which contains Japanese character. when i try uploading the file directly to application server using tcode CG3Z the Japanese characters are getting replaced with some symbols. But when i read the text file using GUI_UPLOAD and then write it back to the application server japanese characters are getting displayed. what could be the issue here? how this can be resolved?
    warm regards,
    abdul hakim

In case of CG3Z, internally there is a call to the FM 'C13Z_FILE_UPLOAD_ASCII' where you'll see this statement:
    * open dataset for writing
OPEN DATASET i_file_appl FOR OUTPUT MESSAGE e_os_message
                   IN TEXT MODE ENCODING NON-UNICODE.
Please note the ENCODING addition is set to NON-UNICODE. But in your custom code you must be using ENCODING DEFAULT which sets the encoding to UTF-8 format because of which the Japanese characters are represented correctly.
    Hope this helps.

    Suhas
