Japplet reloaded each time......
hi,
i have a small problem.i have a japplet running.now i open a web page in the same browser window by calling showdocument().when i come back to the applet it is reloaded from the beggining and init method is also called but actually only start must be called.can anybody help me out...

Uninstalled everything PA, also uninstalled mangler which was the only thing that depended on PA. It didn't work anyway.
No pulseaudio --kill command so I couldn't run.
Checked systemd journal and there is no mention of PA this time.
Checked top, and grepped ps aux and there is no PA there either.
I also rebooted the machine completely just to make sure. However VLC and HTML5 have the same incompatibilities.

But the video and audio did work until I ran some HTML5 video, after which the audio worked, and then I opened it again and it didn't work...

whenever I have on facebook & switch from page to page (tab to tab) when it refreshes & tries to reload the page it has a pop up that states FF prevents this page from reloading....allow? I have to click allow repeatedly or close out the window to get the page to load. I need this pop up block to stop & have looked under options for a place to stop it & cannot locate the area to prevent it.

I wish I hadn't upgraded. Had minimal problems before. Can;t load at a reasonable time. Game on facebook has been loading for 30minutes and it is still not complete I don't know what info you need.

I am a web designer and need to be able to reload the entire page fresh each time i make a change so i can test things i just changed on the website how do ni make this happen this was not an issue in the past but now the banners on the site stay the same and they should change with each reload
If you hold the Shift key when you reload (e.g., Ctrl+Shift+r) then Firefox should disregard cached files and re-request everything.
Are you changing the banner URL to prevent use of a cached banner? -
My Avast antivirus is telling me it blocks "JS:Iframe-DPX[Trj] Infection" each time I go to use Mozilla. I have removed and reload Mozilla but still get the message. Can anyone tell me how to remove this virus that apparently has attached itself to Mozilla. Thanks Bill

No avast does not give any hint of where it is coming from all it does is try to get me to upgrade which of course costs money.
I went into avast and found a "browser cleaner" I ran that and it seems to have solved the problem, at least when I got out of mozilla and back into it no warning message came up so hopefully problem solved. Thanks for your advice. -

I can't access Safari any longer. Each time I click on the icon, it states that "the address is not valid".
I've even deleted the Safari and downloaded it again, but the same message persists. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?address bar wasn't accessible, so I did the Toolbar drag back. The invalid address is set as home page in Safari - Preferences - General.
Tried opening safari again holding the shift key, but made no difference Andy.

I reloaded iTunes 10 (64 bit) successfully, but the problem remains the same.
Any suggestions?I looked in the folder from which I want to synch photos, but there is no such thing as an "ipod photo cache" in that folder, or sub-folders, as suggested in the link which you were nice enough to provide.
I have also tried removing photos from my iPad2 Photos App, and "iTunes has stopped working" shows up again as soon as I click on the "Synch photos from" button. -

The Apple TV does not have accessible storage. It is simply caching the streamed content and once other content is accessed or the device turned off the rental is flushed requiring reload.
If you want to store you can rent on your computer and stream via home-sharing. -

I am trying to install 'Playonmac' so I can install Meta Trader 4 - however each time I reach the next button in order to install XQuartz it hits a dead end
- the 'Installing Quartz' window is saying installing Quartz, but all it does from there is the clock the spins around, just keeps spinning and nothing happens - I have waited and waited for it, but it just kind of freezes there. I have reloaded the software over and over, and even switched off the firewall in case it was blocking Playonmac. It is really important I load Meta Trader 4 on my Mac.
Help will be much appreciated - Has anyone had this sort of problem? Does anyone know how to resolve it?

JoeAccording to wiki "the documentation from Apple states that Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista is requisite for a Boot Camp installation, and it also mentions that trying to install an unsupported operating system could prevent the computer from booting even into Mac OS X". Sure that was from wiki, but it does seem to support and somewhat validate the problem I had with installing an earlier edition of XP.

Thanks for the info on the Filesystem info. My problem is that installing OS X on a mac is just a little bit more technical than installing Windows on a PC as there are a few more things to consider. Plus I'm not familiar with any of the utility programs as well. It's a **** miracle I managed to somehow create a volume to install OS X on when I thought I was erasing the partition I created for WinXP.
But I'm still not sure about the missing 40GB from my 500GB HDD. Upon coming to the desktop straight after OS X was fully re-installed I noticed that the HDD only had 460GB and that 440GB of it available space. So the full installation of OS X was 20GB, but where has the other 40GB gone? I swear I saw that I had much more available space on my harddrive (BEFORE I tried to partition my HDD under Boot Camp Assistant and stuffing up the computer). Is the missing 40GB from the ORIGINAL FACTORY INSTALL of OS X INCLUDING all my iTunes music and other files I uploaded to the computer earlier? It would make sense but there's no way, as far as I know, of checking this. Any ideas?

The home icon by default has moved to the right hand side of the navigation toolbar.
In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload (Refresh) buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons stop/go/reload buttons, or want to move the home button, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. Last RoboHelp HTML v9 Workspace (formerly called Environment) does not reload next time RH9 loads
Hey all, thanks in advance for any info you can provide. All the RoboHelp references below relate to us using the respective version of RoboHelp HTML, and on my XP SP3 pc.
I have worked with RH7, RH8, and now RH9, but RH9 is not behaving the same as the others as it relates to Workspace (formerly called Environment in prior RoboHelp versions). In the other versions, the last screen arrangement/Workspace always reloaded the next time you loaded RH, but with RH9, it doesn't.
The previous “environment”, now called “Workspace” (upper right corner) does not remain what it looked like when you last closed it, the next time you open Robo. It resets to some weird default EVERY time, instead of looking like the last time you closed it…even though it shows you with a checkmark that it did load it (but it didn’t!)!
My Mini-work around is, I clicked “Workspace” (upper right corner) and loaded my environment file (mark.rhs), which loads the screens the way I want them, then did a SAVE to one I called “default” and since it shows you the last two you opened, each time I load Robo, I take turns loading them…no biggie, but it just saves some time so you can choose between YOUR two named files that do the same thing screen rearranging.
Is this a known issue in Robo9? Is there a fix? I have uninstalled/reinstalled many times for other reasons, but this issue has always been present, even installing the latest patches. Thanks in advance for any feedback.to Peter Grainge: Sorry for any confusion...as you state, I expect to see the same exact workspace I left when I last closed RoboHelp and if I reload my workspace/environment and all looks well, I expect to see that same screen placement the next time RH loads...but that does not always happen.
I did what you suggested and closed several of the extraneous Pods that appeared, closed RH, and it did save those settings...BUT I then loaded my saved workspace, closed RH, and the settings were not saved as the same funky screen placement appeared. After checking, it is not the RH defaulted workspace, but actually my saved workspace plus the "See Also", "Review Pane", and Resource Manager" Pods, which I do not use. So, as a test, I closed those 3 Pods and resaved over one of my saved workspace files. I now get a much better percentage of the screens being what I expect each time I load RH, but for some reason, there are times that I reload my saved workspace, exit RH, and the next time I load RH, that funky screen placement is present again. I had an environment issue with RH8, as it could never save the windows the way I needed them, and I had to move them each tim...maybe it was due to migrating from the previous version and it using the migrated/modified .rhs file...or multiple versions installed...who knows? ;->

Any Firefox updates are set to automatically update on my computer. I currently have version 4.0.
Since the NEW version has been installed, I've receive an update notice for a critical update several times. Each time I select to apply that update the dialog display never apply any update, it looks to be in a processing state but never completes. Of late I've had 2 unexpected issues surface. (1) a Flash Player stopped flashing, an "player stopped" message appeared, "send error report" and a reload player message was included. (2) I just received a error message > 400 "Bad Request" when the browser first opened. This has never happened before.

I just realized that I wrote that I installed from app store originally, but I must correct that statement. I never paid for the app so it must have come preinstalled on my 2011 iMac. I was confused since the update is through the store so I assumed I downloaded it. Sorry for any miscommunication.
So to be clear, even though I have never remotely administered / accessed my computer and I no longer have ARD on my computer, it is normal to have the client update appear in my App Store. Is that correct?
