JARs for oracle.aurora.memoryManager package

Can someone tell me where I can find a JAR file that contains the classes in the oracle.aurora.memoryManager package? I am looking to use the following classes in an Oracle 9i DB:
oracle.aurora.memoryManager.EndOfCallRegistry and
oracle.aurora.memoryManager.Callback

Oh well.. I managed to find the class by myself afterall. It was in a file called Aurora.zip, why didn't I seek for it before? Anyway.. it's all solved now and it works... I guess this wasn't the correct way to get the packages installed, but at least we learned more this way.

  • Config Lab tool for Oracle CC&B Package

    Hi,
    Is there any configlab tool for Oracle CC&B package for confifuration management accross different environments. we can use VSS as version management for java codes and cobol codes in CC&B. But i am unable to identify any config lab tool for configuration management.
    Guys please help me out in this.
    Thanks and Regards
    sayantan

    Sayantan,
    There is (unfortunately) no silver bullet for your requirement.
    Here is a good blog article on the different options available.
    https://blogs.oracle.com/theshortenspot/entry/configlab_versus_bundling_vers
    Implementations use variations and combinations of the 3 tools that are available, coupled with 3rd party migration tools (like vss). The strategy for an implementation's development-to-production life cycle will vary based on a multitude of factors. Skill set of the IT shop, what tools they are used to, internal audit procedures, etc.
    Hope the article provides some food for thought!

  • Can't localize the oracle.aurora.memoryManager.callBack class!

    A partner and I are working on a small LAN project, but he has the crazy idea of working only with Oracle products. As a result we've ended up implementing EJB's that use Oracle classes... the java code works, but when I move the code to the client machine, it fails because many of the oracle classes are not found on the client's machine. I've manage to move a lot of .jar files from the server so that the client will access them, but now I've come to a point where I can't find the file that contains a class we need: callBack from the aurora memoryManager. I've searched through a lot of .jar files on the server, all the ones specified by the CLASSPATH, but still, I can't find this class or any from the memoryManager package! It really bugs me... does anyone can help on this? I don't know where to locate this class.. and installing the Oracle Client package on the client seemed to do no good at all. I dunno where else to place this question.. but since it has to do with class installations I place it on the installation forum.

    Oh well.. I managed to find the class by myself afterall. It was in a file called Aurora.zip, why didn't I seek for it before? Anyway.. it's all solved now and it works... I guess this wasn't the correct way to get the packages installed, but at least we learned more this way.

  • Ojdbc.jar for Oracle 9.2.0.8

    Hi,
    I currently use ojdbc.jar whose manifest.mf is as below,
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Specification-Title: "Oracle JDBC driver classes for use with JDK1.4"
    Specification-Version: "Oracle JDBC Driver version - 9.0.2.0.0"
    Specification-Vendor: "Oracle Corporation" .
    Implementation-Title: "ojdbc14.jar"
    Implementation-Version: "Oracle JDBC Driver version - 9.0.2.0.0"
    Implementation-Vendor: "Oracle Corporation"
    Implementation-Time: "Wed Feb 19 15:32:24 2003"
    We are migrating our DB from oracle 9.2.0.4 to 9.2.0.8. Could you advice if I can continue using the same JAR or upgrade to the latest ojdbc.jar published?

    You should always use the most recent version of the JDBC drivers. The 11.1.0.6.0 drivers support Oracle Database 9.2.0.8, so that's what you should use. The 11 drivers require J2SE 1.5 or JSE 6.0. If you are using J2SE 1.3 or 1.4 then you should use 10.2.

    hi Doug! For the sole purpose of database test you have other option like install Oracle 8i Personal Edition on Win98 or you can install 8i Standard Edition with Custom installation; So Just Custom install without Net8/Network support.

    Hi Sukande,
    Deployment procedure is same irrespective of operating system.
    On AIX, you have to copy the file com.sap.aii.adapter.lib.sda to your desktop and modify using winrar as explained in the below article and copy the modified file back to the respective path on AIX server.

  • DB connection issue for Oracle 11g with jdk1.3

    Hi Experts,
    I have jdk1.3 installed. I need to connect to Oracle 11g, but there is no driver class for Oracle 11g with jdk1.3. I have Classes12.jar for Oracle 9i with jdk1.3. When I try to connect to Oracle 11g with jdk1.3 using Classes12.jar, I get the below error
    Error:
    java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: Connection refused(DESCRIPTION=(TMP=)(VSNNUM=185599744)(ERR=12514)(ERROR_STACK=(ERROR=(CODE=12514)(EMFI=4))))

    at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBError.java:335)
    at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleConnection.<init>(OracleConnection.java:334)....
    Please help to solve this issue. This is urgent.
    Thanks.

    "connection refused" is quite a clear error message;
    - either you configure a wrong host name or port number
    - the database isn't even running
    - a firewall is blocking you
    In any case no connection can be made to the database, which is hardly a programming or driver problem. You'll have to figure out for whatever external reason you cannot create a connection to the database. Good luck.

  • Package 'bind' for Oracle VM 2.2.2

    Hi All,
    Am very new to using the virtualization provided by Oracle.
    I have installed Oracle VM Server 2.2.2. My guest creation using a template fails with the error message below. The deploy.sh script has a series of steps that tar and then create the virtual guest.
    [root@OEL seed_pool]# ./deploy.sh
    chown: `named:named': invalid user
    error reading information on service named: No such file or directory
    error reading information on service named: No such file or directory
    error reading information on service named: No such file or directory
    I was asked to install BIND package for VM Server 2.2.2. I tried installing the bind package from OEL5 Update 3 [bind-9.3.4-10.P1.el5.x86_64.rpm]. However it failed with a lot of dependencies errors when i run it in VM Server 2.2.2 (rpm -ivh bind-9.3.4-10.P1.el5.x86_64.rpm)
    In VM Server 2.2.2, rpm -qa bind* gives the below output:
    bind-libs-9.3.4-10.P1.el5_3.3
    bind-utils-9.3.4-10.P1.el5_3.3
    From where can i get the correct 'bind' package for VM Server 2.2.2?

You should be creating guests using Oracle VM Manager, which would not require any non-Oracle VM packages. There is no bind package for Oracle VM, as you would never run a DNS server in Dom0.

  • JS Validation for Drop down List is not working in Oracle PL/SQL Package

    Hi All,
    I am facing an issue with JavaScript validation done in Oracle PL SQL package.
    System Requirement:
    There is one screen which contains two fields viz. FLD 1 & FLD 2 and one 'Submit' button.
    FLD 1 and FLD 2 fields are drop down list boxes.These are mandatory fields.
    The screen is developed in Oracle Mod PL SQL package.
    The html coding and java scripting are embedded in the respective Oracle PL SQL Package procedure which generates this screen,takes the input values provided by user,does the
    field validations and submits the form.
    Issue:
    The javascript validation for FLD 2 dropdown is working successfully.
    When the user leaves this field as blank,the embedded javascript pops up an error message 'Selection of FLD 2 is manadatory before submitting the form!'.
    As FLD 1 is also a mandatory field,the javascripting validation should pop up the similar error message 'Selection of FLD 1 is manadatory before submitting the form!'.
    But,this first field validation is not at all working.
    The system allows to submit the form even if the 'FLD 1' is left blank.
    The javascript code sysntax for validation of FLD 1 & FLD 2 drop down list boxes as follows:
    function validate_form_fields()
    if (document.forms[0].p_fld_1.selectedIndex == 0))) || (document.forms
    [0].p_fld_1.selectedIndex < 1 )
    alert("Selection of FLD 1 is manadatory before submitting the form!!!");
    return false;
    else if (document.forms[0].p_fld_2.selectedIndex == 0))) || (document.forms
    [0].p_fld_2.selectedIndex < 1 )
    alert("Selection of FLD 2 is manadatory before submitting the form!!!");
    return false;
    return true;
    I am viewing the screen from the web browser IE version 8.0.
    Your timely help will really be appreciated.
    Regards & Thanking in advance,
    Alka

    Hi,
    1. Your problem is actually related to JavaScript, not SQL and PL/SQL. So, this is the wrong forum to post. The closest to JS is the Application Express forum {forum:id=137}. Clearly state that it is not an Apex issue and that you are looking for JS help.
    2. Your JS code, the way you has posted it, is syntactically incorrect, so if you post on Apex forum put the correct code and in tags as described in the FAQ
    {quote}
    function validate_form_fields()
    if (document.forms[0].p_fld_1.selectedIndex == 0))) || (document.forms
    [0].p_fld_1.selectedIndex < 1 )
    alert("Selection of FLD 1 is manadatory before submitting the form!!!");
    return false;
    else if (document.forms[0].p_fld_2.selectedIndex == 0))) || (document.forms
    [0].p_fld_2.selectedIndex < 1 )
    alert("Selection of FLD 2 is manadatory before submitting the form!!!");
    return false;
    return true;

  • SUNWsprox package with solaris 10 for Oracle 10g Installation....

    Hi
    I am in problem with a Solaris 10 package "SUNWsprox - Sun workshop Bundled 64-bit make library" for Oracle 10g Installation. I checked the CDs (In the /.../products) but did't found this packege. Can any one tell me please can I go without this package or where I found this package...Please Its very URGENT for me....
    Thanks
    Mohammed Tanvir

    Hi...
    I had the same issue, but found out that the SUNWsprox was replaced by SUNWsprot. The OUI 10.1 Release 2 will 'pass' as the doco in the Oracle quick install guide is wrong (as well as 10g Application Server).
    The only way to lay a 10g Release database on Solaris 10 is to lay the software doen only, then cd in the .../bin directory, step your Rdbms ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID, LD_LIBRARY_PATH and of course the DISPLAY (is X-windowing into the server), and run dbca manually. Oracle 10g is a bit buggy.
