Jars package name Conflicts, How to ?

Hi Pros,
I have two jar files in my web application lib directory, let's say jar1 and jar2.
jar1 contains a class, lets say Class1 under the package com.something1.something2
jar2 also contains a class with same name i.e. Class1 under the same package i.e. com.something1.something2
Now I need my Tomcat to use jar1 for some functionality and jar2 for some other functionality
So, existence of both these jars is must.
How to set the application to go for one particular Class1 say Class1 from jar1 ?
Thanks in Advance,
Abhijit Salunkhe

Using Netbeans, I created two different applications JavaApp4, JavaApp5 containing test.com.NewClass.Why? Don't do that.
Then, I created one more Java Application JavaApp6 in which I added jars of JavaApp4 and JavaApp5.Why? Don't do that.
When I tried to instantiate NewClass in JavaApp6, it was giving the method name of the jar I added first.And you expected what, exactly?
Don't do this. It doesn't work. It's not intended to work. Package names are provided so you can disambiguate classes. Do that.

    io.class is an obfuscated class and some of the Eclipse tools don&#39;t work well with them. For example, using control-shift-T to see the list of classes won&#39;t find com.businessobjects.lang.cal.compiler.io nor com.businessobjects.lang.cal.compiler.ip for that matter, but you can browse to these classes in the package explorer and see them in the calPlatform.jar. However, any api class (as documented in our public Javadoc) should be accessible. Does this answer your question, or do you have a more specific problem? Reproduction steps in Eclipse would work best for us since that&#39;s what we&#39;re using.  <p> Bo </p>

    advanceHi all,
    I have been having the same problems too but came to realize that it is quite difficult getting your applet to work in most cases when using external jars. I found out thet you will have to create the directory hierarchy with the necessary imported classes used by your applet. and then create a new jar file that you will use in the codebase tag.
    For example:
    /* Java code snippet */
    import org.apache.XmlRpcClient;
    public MyApplet extends JApplet {
    //..... Rest of your code ......
    }/* End of snippet */
    You would then have to create a the directory structure:
    org
    _apache
    ___xmlrpc
    Then place all the required classes imported from within (Sometimes it is easier to just add all the classes to save time but lose space i.e. larger jar files).
    Execute the jar command (please adjust as needed to your requirements):
    jar cvf any_name.jar *.class org/
    After signing the applet it may solve your problem. Since I'm working with XmlRpc I still have a lot of problems. If anyone has any advice or tips, please share.
    Thank you

  • How to call a stored procedure using its package name in Oracle

    hi
    we're doing a JDBC scenario where we call a stored procedure(a.prc) using its package name(b)The stored procedure has In /Out/IN-OUT parameter.
    i have got 2 queries:
    1- How to call the stored procedure using it's package.
    2- How to capture the In/Out parameter in the response.

    hi Prateek
    thanks for the reply.
    However when i tried mapping it to Package.procedure, communication channel throws the error saying that Package.proceudre needs to be declared.
    As i said , the procedure has IN-OUT parameter too.In oracle we need to write a block if we want to read the IN-OUT parameter.
    How to get the IN-OUT parameter in XI?

  • How to find proc/func name from package name and line number?

    Hi,
    We are using the pl/sql call stack dump (dbms_utility.format_call_stack) for some debugging purposes. But in the case of a package body execution, the dump does not return the name of the procedure/function that is being executed, but only the name of the package and the line number being executed. So, we have a requirement wherein we need to extract the type and name of a package subunit from the package name and line number.
    e.g.
    From the information package 'A', line number 739
    we should be able to deduce that line 739 is a part of *'function A.f'*
    Does the oracle database provide any native mechanism (PL/SQL packages or otherwise) to support such functionality? If it does not, how can we achieve the desired result?
    Thanks in advance,
    Shashank

    The approach we are currently planning to take up is this :
    1. Write PL/SQL code to parse the entire source (user_source) and build a database table with a structure like this :
    PACKAGE_NAME | UNIT_TYPE | UNIT_NAME | START_LINE | END_LINE
    =============================================
    A | PROCEDURE | P1 | 20 | 345
    A | FUNCTION | F1 | 347 | 629
    etc..
    2. Start PL/SQL package execution.
    3. Keep dumping call stack snapshots whenever a custom debug procedure is called.
    4. Dump the package name and line number to a log file.
    5. Using the package name and line number, query the table built in step 1 and build the final report which shows the control flow in a readable form.
    What we want is to get rid of step 5 and by some means get the logic to extract the unit type and name in step 4 itself.
    Keep them coming..
    Thanks and regards,
    Shashank

  • How to return package name?

    package MyBank;
    public class Bank {
    What should I write in the program if I want the program to return me the package name?
    Thanks!

    > How if I need to return it statically?
    for example I need to return in in the
    public static void main method.
    so that I cannot use
    this.getClass.getPackage.toString( );
    Thanks
    Then you should make an instance of your class in that static method:
    package test;
    public class Test {
      public Test() {
      public static void main(String[] args) {
        System.out.println((new Test()).getClass().getPackage().toString());

    You wouldn't see any direct effect on the Report.. But if you transport the report to QA & leave the Message class in Dev, it might result in syntax issues & you will not be able to execute the report. Just ensure that both of them get transported to QA & you will be fine.

    Hey, that's one thing I actually know how to do with regexes! All package descriptions have some spaces at their beginning, the package names themselves have not, so you can just use inverted grepping like so:
    $ pacman -Ss test | grep -v '^ '
    core/perl 5.10.1-5 (base)
    extra/fprint_demo 0.4-2 (fprint)

    arch-games/ultimatestunts 0.7.5.1-1
    This still shows the repos and the versions (nothing cut wouldn't be able to handle though). It works fine with pacman as you just saw, I can't guarantee for yaourt as I don't have it installed.
    Edit: Hm… I just realized that this still displays the results where 'test' only occured in the package description. Give me some time to figure this out.
    Edit 2: Another grep for 'test' would solve it:
    $ pacman -Ss test | grep -v '^ ' | grep test
    extra/memtest86+ 4.00-1
    extra/perl-test-pod 1.41-1
    extra/testdisk 6.11.3-2

    community/phoronix-test-suite 2.4.0-1
    arch-games/ultimatestunts 0.7.5.1-1
    Still, it's not that pretty to write the same thing twice. If you really want to do it like this, I suggest you make it a function in your ~/.${SHELL}rc.

  • How to search ONLY in package names, without descriptions?

    Hello!
    I would like to know how I can search with pacman only in the package names, without searching descriptions?
    For example, searching for the rar package (pacman -Ss rar) gives me tons of results with hundreds of packages, where "library" occurs in the description.
    I have already read the pacman manual page, but I couldn't find anything suitable.
    Greets, Horst

    perl -e '$search = "rar";$output=`pacman -Ss $search`;while($output=~/^(\S.*?\Q$search\E.*?\n(?:\s.*\n)*)/mgi){print $1}'
    This does the normal "pacman -Ss whatever" search, but then it checks that the search term is in the package name. Just replace "rar" in "$search = "rar" with whatever you want to search for.
    I tried to make it work with grep using -P, but I still don't know how to make it case-insensitive then ("-i" doesn't seem to work with perl regexes). Here it is anyway though:
    pacman -Ss rar | grep -P "^\S.*?rar(?:.*|\n)*?(?=\n\S)"
    Aside from being case-sensitive, you also have to replace both instances of "rar" with your search term.
    Here's a script version that you can run from the command line:
    #!/usr/bin/perl
    use strict;
    use warnings;
    my $search = "@ARGV";
    my $output = '';
    open(my $pipe,'-|',"pacman -Ss $search") or die "Unable to create pipe to pacman: $!\n";
    while (defined(my $line=<$pipe>)){$output.=$line;}
    close $pipe;
    while($output=~/^(\S.*?\Q$search\E.*?\n(?:\s.*\n)*)/mgi){print $1};
    Save it as "search_pkgnames", make it executable, then invoke it with your search term: search_pkgnames rar
    Hope this helps.

    does the time stamp with the ":" a part of your output file?
    else use a replaceAll function in your mapping and replace the : with empty string then use the value in the variable substitution
    Another option is use the normal BPM for 1: N message flow. The use a simple java mapping that will introduce a dynamic configuration and you can create the file name as you want. the java mapping will be used in the flow of messages from BPM to target system.
