    Hi,
    The view itself is a Web Part called an XSLT List View Web Part (XLV for short). This Web Part is stored on an ASPX page that is by default associated with a list or library on your site.
    I suggest you can check if the view page is valid, also, you can try to create another view, then redirect to the view page to see if there is xslt in the page.

    below is my code ,please help me......
    MY Code:
    /*3 Preview in HTML format */
    File imagedir=null;
    JRHtmlExporter exp = new JRHtmlExporter();
    StringBuffer sbuf = new StringBuffer();
    exp.setParameter(JRHtmlExporterParameter.JASPER_PRINT, print);

    Thanks

    Alright there is a dedicated ImageServlet(provided in jasper reporting framework) which is used to Link Static image content along with your HTML report content.
    and here is how you have to do it is ??
    is by setting few parameters for JRExporter Object and making use of image servlet provided under jasper libraries.
    ImageServlet configurations in web.xml:
    <servlet>
            <servlet-name>ImageServlet</servlet-name>
            <servlet-class>
                net.sf.jasperreports.j2ee.servlets.ImageServlet
            </servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
            <servlet-name>ImageServlet</servlet-name>
            <url-pattern>/imageServlet</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>Html Exporter code..
    JRExporter exporter = null;
    JasperPrint jasperPrint = null;
    Connection conn = null;
    String sourceFile = ReportService.getReportSourceFile(request);
    Map map = ReportService.getParameterMap(sourceFile,request);
    String contentType = ReportService.getContentType(sourceFile,request);
    if(contentType.startsWith("text/html")){
    PrintWriter printWriter = response.getWriter();
    try{
       /* Fetching Connection from a Connection Pool VIA a service*/
      conn = DbUtils.getConnection();
      /* Creating a JasperPrint Object*/
      jasperPrint = JasperFillManager.fillReport(sourceFile,map,conn);
    exporter = new JRHtmlExporter();
      request.getSession().setAttribute(ImageServlet.DEFAULT_JASPER_PRINT_SESSION_ATTRIBUTE, jasperPrint);
       /* printWriter here is a reference for  response.getWriter() */
      exporter.setParameter(JRExporterParameter.JASPER_PRINT, jasperPrint);
      exporter.setParameter(JRExporterParameter.OUTPUT_WRITER,printWriter);
      // gonna set url pattern given for Image servlet with a reponse parameter <url-pattern>/imageServlet</url-pattern>
      exporter.setParameter(JRHtmlExporterParameter.IMAGES_URI,"imageServlet?image=");
       response.setContentType(contentType);
       /* Would write the HTML content to ServletStream Provided */
      exporter.exportReport();
    }catch(Exception exp){
         exp.printStackTrace();
    }finally{
      try{
         if(conn != null && !conn.isClosed())
           conn.close();
      }catch(Exception ep){
         ep.printStackTrace();
      }finally{
           conn = null;
           sourceFile = null;
           map = null;
    }For any other issues with report format and others try to go through my post.However, you might have to edit your customized settings in terms of image rendering problems or to some customized implementations.

  • Opening new web page using servlet and jasper report. ?

    Hello,
    I am developing one small web application and implementing jasper report in it. I am using jasper report with servlet. Which is generating one pdf file and displaying in same browser. But I want to open this report in new browser. Which is only display that report window. I am trying it. response.setContentType("application/pdf");
                   /response.addHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" // this is basically for downloading pdf file.
                             + request.getParameter("D:/rnext/30-oct-2009/sms/web/jsp/Reports/allstudentsofwholecollege.jasper") + "");
          response.setContentType("application/pdf");
          response.setContentLength(bytes.length);
          servletOutputStream.write(bytes, 0, bytes.length);
          servletOutputStream.flush();
          servletOutputStream.close();In this code it is showing me attachement file of report.
    When I changed the response.addHeader(Content-Disposition", "inline; filename=" // this is basically for downloading pdf file.)
    It is opening in same window. Please help if you can. It is urgent. please help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Manveer

    Use target attribute with link you have placed on you JSP page. [Look Here|http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_a_target.asp]
    Also remove Content-Disposition header if you want to open file in browser.
    In latest browsers it might be possible you will see new tab opened rather then whole new browser window, This depends on browser settings.

  • How to open a jasper report (html URL)

    Hello,
    currently we are testing the jasper report engine. We are already able to open such a report from forms by a forms personalization.
    Now we want to run a concurrent report where the output should be a link to a jasper report.
    For example:
    I start the request "open jasper report" with parameter "001". After successful finishing the request should give me a link like "http://jasper/myreport&parameter=001" which will be opened in a new browser tab.
    Well, is it possible to open a URL by using a concurrent request?

  • Problem in debuging jasper reports and ADF

    Hi
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0. Inside I created Fusion Web Application ADF, and on the index page created Go button. Now I created Servlet with doGet methode and conncected it to Go button. It is working OK.
    Now I want to run simple jasper report from servlet. Jasper report is based on empty dataset. Here is servlet code:
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
    ServletOutputStream servletOutputStream =response.getOutputStream();
    InputStream reportStream = getServletConfig().getServletContext()
    .getResourceAsStream("C:/Users/myDomain/Desktop/Reporting/ReportPDFPrazan.jasper");
    try
    JasperRunManager.runReportToPdfStream(reportStream,servletOutputStream,null, new JREmptyDataSource());
    response.setContentType(CONTENT_TYPE);
    servletOutputStream.flush();
    servletOutputStream.close();
    catch (JRException e)
    // display stack trace in the browser
    StringWriter stringWriter = new StringWriter();
    PrintWriter printWriter = new PrintWriter(stringWriter);
    e.printStackTrace(printWriter);
    response.setContentType("text/plain");
    response.getOutputStream().print(stringWriter.toString());
    When I hit Go button here what I get:

    I found solution. It should be used like this:
    InputStream reportStream = new FileInputStream(new File("C:/Users/myDomain/Desktop/Reporting/ReportPDFPrazan.jasper"));
    So problem was in input stream. It works fine now.

  • JSF - Actuate Reports/Jasper Reports

    Hello,
    I am creating a reporting application using jsf .The report server to be used are Actuate and Jasper.
    I am generating my criteria page(jsf page where user will input criteria for report) dynamically from an xml file.
    The actuate reports are static reports residing on an actuate server. All i need to do is collect the criteria and link the jsp page to the actuate report residing on actuate server.
    I am able to connect to the report using context.redirect(context.encodeActionURL(url)) from my backing bean.
    But the problem is the report opens up in browser but on a different page. i want to embed the report in the jsf page below the criteria displayed.
    How can i achieve this??
    Similar problem i am facing with Jasper reports, i am able to open the jasper report in browser as a pdf, but not able to embed it into my criteria.jsp.
    For jasper reports, i understood that i need to get the repot bytes into a string buffer and use an outputtext to display that.
    I did try that approach, but somehow it doesnt display the proper report, all it displays is <html> tags.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

  • Jasper Reports Integration - beta release

    Hi guys,
    I have finally found the time to release the Jasper Reports Integration package for producing print ready reports.
    You can find all the details here: http://daust.blogspot.com/2010/01/jasper-reports-integration-beta-release.html
    Anybody is welcome to try the software and join the beta program.
    Thanks,
    ~Dietmar.

    Hi Wolfgang,
    Now it works as expected!That's the way I like it ;).
    I would like to save the report in a user table with a blob field, how can this be achieved?Easy, this is even already part of the test application.
    On the Report Tester tab you will find a button called "Get report as BLOB, then display". It calls the following page process:
    DECLARE
       l_blob        BLOB;
       l_mime_type   VARCHAR2 (100);
    BEGIN
       xlog ('PRC_GET_REPORT_TUNNEL', 'url (orig):' || :p5_report_url);
       -- generate the report and return in BLOB
       xlib_jasperreports.set_report_url (:p5_jasper_report_url);
       xlib_jasperreports.get_report
                                    (p_rep_name               => :p5_rep_name,
                                     p_rep_format             => :p5_rep_format,
                                     p_data_source            => :p5_data_source,
                                     p_rep_locale             => :p5_rep_locale,
                                     p_rep_encoding           => :p5_rep_encoding,
                                     p_additional_params      => :p5_additional_params,
                                     p_out_blob               => l_blob,
                                     p_out_mime_type          => l_mime_type
       -- set mime header
       OWA_UTIL.mime_header (ccontent_type      => l_mime_type,
                             bclose_header      => FALSE);
       -- set content length
       HTP.p ('Content-length: ' || DBMS_LOB.getlength (l_blob));
       OWA_UTIL.http_header_close;
       -- download the file and display in browser
       WPG_DOCLOAD.download_file (l_blob);
       -- release resources
       DBMS_LOB.freetemporary (l_blob);
       -- stop rendering of APEX page
       apex_application.g_unrecoverable_error := TRUE;
    EXCEPTION
       WHEN OTHERS
       THEN
          xlog ('PRC_GET_REPORT_TUNNEL', SQLERRM, 'ERROR');
          RAISE;
    END;Once you have the blob you can store it in a database table, done!
    There is only one tricky part. Should the Tomcat throw an exception then it will return a html error page (http code 200=ok). The request is perfectly valid but a human can see the error message.
    The API should throw an exception on that. A bit tricky once other J2EE servers are supported or the error messages vary.
    BTW: do you plan any additional features ?Perhaps, what are you looking for?
    Cheers,
    ~Dietmar.

    i have created a jasper report(for eg:ss.jrxml) if i wnt to add this report file to my jsp or servlet,i have to import some jasper reports packages and also adding that report file(jrxml file) to myjsp page in try block using jasperreport class.but,if i compiled this file or when i open this jsp file in web browser it shows error like
    net.sf.jasperreports.engine.*(this is my one of report package used in my jsp) does not exist and jasperreport(this is one of class file in jasperreports to connect) cannot find symbol.
    pls,help mi wat to do to support this packages while running in weblogic server.

    To add libraries to your webapp you need to place the appropriate JARs in the */WEB-INF/lib * directory of your web application folder.
    If you're using an IDE follow whatever are the appropriate steps to add libraries/ external JARs to your project.

  • Open Jasper Report in new page using servlet

    Guys,
    Looks very simple but i am having problem making this process work. I am using 11.1.1.4
    This is my use case:
    - From a employee page, user clicks on a menu item to open report for current employee. I need to pass appropriate report parameters to servlet and open report into new page.
    I can successfully call servlet using commandmenuitem and set request parameters and call servlet from backing bean.... but that doesn't open report in a new page.... any way i can do this?
    Another option i tried was that using gomenuitem and setting target=blank but in that case i need to pass the parameter using servlet url which i like to avoid.(in case i need to pass many parameters in future) (also values will be set on page so i need to generate url when then click the menuitem...... so there are some hoops and loops i need to go through) I don't know a way to pass the request parameter using backing bean to servlet... i don't think it is possible.
    Those are the two approaches i tried.
    If you have any better approach...I would appreciate if you can let me know. (i have searched on internet for two days now.... for the solution)

    hey sorry for posting it in this forum.
    but do u have sample code for making it work.. since i am able to do it on PDF format(image from Database and another stored in the webserver) using
    byte image[] =(byte[]) outData.get("image");
                        ByteArrayInputStream img = new ByteArrayInputStream(image);
                        hmimg.put("P_PARAMV3", img);
    print = JasperFillManager.fillReport(reportFileName, hmimg, jrxmlds);
    bdata= JasperExportManager.exportReportToPdf(print);

    Hi ,
    One 'simple' way is by using the DBMS_SCHEDULER db package and the procedure CREATE_JOB(....) using as job_type the value 'EXECUTABLE'...
    Read for further info in 'PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference'.
    If you have access to OEM ... you can configure this there using wizard.....
    Other way is to use the External Procedure call capabiblity of Oracle DB Server...:
