    Hi every one,
    I need coding support for accessing Mysql stored procedure from java and JSP.
    Please help me

    You'd better have a recent version of MySQL, because earlier ones didn't support stored procs.
    If your MySQL and driver support stored procs, maybe you just need a JDBC stored proc tutorial.

    Learn JDBC API: [http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/jdbc/index.html]. Create a DAO class which uses JDBC to interact with Java and takes or returns the desired data in form of DTO's. Use and test it as a plain vanilla Java application with a main() method. This require a JDBC driver (a concrete implementation of the JDBC API) in the classpath. MySQL offers JDBC drivers as download at their homepage, it is called "Connector/J".
    Once you got the JDBC part to work, create a Servlet class which holds an instance of the DAO class and uses its methods to interact with the database. In the doGet() you can place logic to preload data from the DAO class for display. In the doPost() you can place logic to process data for create, update or delete using the DAO class. Finally let it forward the request to a JSP.
    In the JSP you can use JSTL/EL to display data. For tabular view you may find the JSTL c:forEach useful. For plain display, just use EL the usual way.

  • The performance of management system with Java and MySQL

    Hi all,
    I want to develop one management application with Java and MySQL. However I am not sure which is a good way to design the system. The system has to deal with customers' data in the database.
    Should I create objects for every customers when application starts so that I do not need to access to the database often? Or
    Should I access to the database everytime the user want to deal with customer's data?
    Welcome for any suggestion.

  • Using Java Access bridge (Accessibility) with oracle forms 6.0 client

    I'm trying to use JAB (java Access bridge ) to capture events in oracle forms 6.0 client .
    I've a Jinitiator 1.1.8 and JRE version 1.4x
    I've configured JAB as per the installation guide . However the events don't surface in Java Monkey .
    Has anybody encountered similar issue ? what is the solution for the issue ??
    Also on one of the forums I read Jinitiator 1.3x and above is automatically recognised by Java Access bridge .
    For jinitiator version less than 1.3 manual configuration is required . however I haven;'t been able to find any on the oracle forms KB
    Also here is the excerpt from the link http://www.oracle.com/us/corporate/accessibility/faqs/index.html
    Q: Are there special steps for using Java-based applications with assistive technology?
    A: If the Oracle application is written in Java, such as JDeveloper or Oracle Forms (runtime), customers must first install the latest version of Sun's Java Access Bridge. The Java Access Bridge provides the integration with screen readers such as JAWS or SuperNova that support Java. You just download the Access Bridge and install it. Sun's AccessBridge 2.0x recognizes Oracle's JInitiator 1.3x and above so no manual configuration steps are necessary. The Access Bridge is available from: http://java.sun.com/products/accessbridge. At the time this document was written, Access Bridge 2.0.1 is the most current publicly available production release; Oracle recommends upgrading to this version. Sun's AccessBridge is bundled with Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) and can be found in the Java Runtime Engine (JRE). More information for configuring such products is in the respective product documentation, or on http://www.oracle.com/us/corporate/accessibility/products/index.html.

  • Can' t connect Java with MySQL

    My goal is to connect Java with MySQL. I found many solutions on Internet, but I always get the same mistake:
    SQLException: No suitable driver
    SQLState: 08001
    VendorError: 0MySQL works fine alone or with php.Only thing left me to think is that the installed versions are not compatible for this mysql-connector-java-5.0.4
    I don't believe that could be a reason.
    Installed versions are:
    Apache Tomcat 5.5.20 Server
    Apache HTTP Server 2.2.4
    PHP 5.2.0
    MySQL 5.2
    jre 1.5.0_11
    jdk1.5.0_11
    Apache Tomacat JK2 connector Version: 1.2.20 File Name: mod_jk-apache-2.2.3.so
    mysql-connector-java-5.0.4
    I also set connector in class path: C:\mysql-connector-java-5.0.4;C:\mysql-connector-java-5.0.4\mysql-connector-java-5.0.4-bin.jar;C:\mysql-connector-java-5.0.4\src\com\mysql\jdbc
    For installation I used manulas from:
    http://apacheguide.org/jsp.php
    http://doc.51windows.net/mysql/?url=/MySQL/ch23s03.html
    Here is also a test code in java:

    hey buddy .. it seems yr code is wrong .. in getconnection () method u should also specify the port ,which u r not doing ...
    the default port for MySQL is 3306 ... see below i am giving you a sample code ... its working fine .. and dont forget to put the MySQL driver jar path in to classpath and also copy the jar into common/lib folder of your tomcat ....
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.DriverManager;
    import java.sql.ResultSet;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    import java.sql.Statement;
    public class MySQLConnectionTest {

    new MySQLConnectionTest().connTest();
    public void connTest() {
              String tableName = "portfolio"; //change as per setting
              String hostName = "10.81.9.39"; // please change for the target database ip or hostname
              String dbPort = "3306"; //change if not using the default
              String dbName = "tradingsystem"; //change as per the given DB name
              String username = "root"; //change as per setting
              String password = "password"; //change as per setting
              System.out.println("before try");

    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://"+hostName+":"+dbPort+"/"+dbName, username, password);
    String query1 = "select * from "+tableName+" where User_id='trader1' and Stock_Type='Equity'";
    System.out.println("quesry1="+query1);
    Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs1 = stmt.executeQuery(query1);
    while(rs1.next())
         System.out.println("hiiiiii for rs1");
         System.out.println(rs1);
         Quantity=(Integer)rs1.getObject(5);
         MarketPrice=(Double) rs1.getObject(8);

         System.out.println("data1="+data1);
         i=0;
    rs1.close();

    conn.close();
    } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {

    i hope it will work for u...

  • Can't access Media Encoder CC

    I have been asking this question on these forums for about 2 moinths now, with no answer.
    I know this is a community forum, but it is the only way I can access any support from Adobe.
    I am in Australia. i am not willing to use the 800 number, and the 'chat' is not available to me.
    When Adobe released the Cloud with much higher pricing in Australia they said it was because of the increased cost of support in this country. I am yet to find any support at all for my $50 per month.
    So once again - here is my problem; </end rant>
    I have Premiere CC and AE CC loaded via my CC subscription.
    I can not access Media Encoder through either of these programs on my desktop, or as a stand alone app. I have fully removed and re-downloaded the apps a couple of times with the same result - ME does not install.
    Can you give me a location where I can download ME so I can install it on my machine.

    Hi Kevin,
    thanks for that.
    The problem on accessing the support was that i am in Australia and do not want to conatct an 800 number form here. No local number was available for me. The 'chat' function was also not available for me at any time, so i only had this forum as a point of communication. I am ceratinly aware that this is a user to user forum.
    As a result of this matter I have seen the need for better support facilities to be available, so I determined to be a more active member of these forums, to help in some way. I don't want to just complain and not do something about it myself.
    I do stand by my view though that a better method of direct support from Adobe is necessary. One of the reasons Adobe gave for the higher price of software in Australia prior to the Australian Senate Enquiry was the higher cost of support in Australia. While the cost did come down since then, I can find no form of support available to me unfortunately.
    Thanks for listening to me,.

  • Accessing MySQL InnoDB tables via JDBC using Oracle SQL Developer

    I had posted a problem in the Oracle SQL Developer forum with how that application (v1.1) accesses MySQL InnoDB tables and someone replied that the "[data migration] team created the integration with MySQL", so I am posting here in hopes of learning more about the problem.
    Here's a summary:
    When I use Oracle SQL Developer to query MySQL InnoDB tables, I need to issue a "commit" before I do each query to ensure that I am getting current results. Otherwise, it appears to be using a snapshot as-of the last commit. Is this a problem with SQL Developer, or a JDBC configuration, or MySQL problem even?
    The full details are here:
    Re: MySQL InnoDB tables

    Hi,
    I've posted a response to your original thread.

  • Java accessibility Bridge for windows

    I have installed Java Accessibility Bridge for windows but the screen reader in windows (Narrator) is not responding to my java application. On searching the internet, most of them mentioned about JAWS. So is it the only screen reader supporting Java Accessibility Bridge? Also is there any way to use it with Narrator?
    Thanks in advance
    leeman

    Narrator doesn't use the Java Access Bridge so it will not work with Java. Recommend you use another screen reader. Yes, many people do use JAWS, but I also know SuperNova (from Dolphin) and NVDA also work.

  • Few question about Java and MySQL connection

    Hi!
    I have some problems with creating connection between Java and MySQL.
    I followed the restrictions in mysql-connector-java.jar' readme, I set the CLASSPATH :
    CLASSPATH=.;D:/mysql/mysql-connector-java.jar;
    I copied this jar file to the right place (descripted above), and I used the right steps to load it:
    Class.forName('com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"); and it throws a ClassNotFoundException
    Why? All the paths are correct, everything is on the right place.... I dont know why.
    When I installed the JBuilder8, and copied the jar file to JBuilder8/jdk4/jre/lib/ext it worked without any CLASSPATH in enviromental variables.
    If I want to run my program on machines where are not JBuilder, what should I do?
    Please help, if you can.
    Thanks,
    henpanta

    Yeah. So if I compiled my program with JBuilder to an .exe file, I cant run it on other machines, if the jar file isnt in the same place?
    If I tried your advice, java -classpath mymainclass I got the next message:
    main class not found. Believe me, its there. :(
