Java API Remote key

Hi All,
       I want to retrieve all remote key entries using MDM Java API how can I do that any one had done it before or have any clue for this?
Thanks

Hi
      you can try this code
          RetrieveRecordsKeyMappingsCommand recordKeyMappingCommmaond = new RetrieveRecordsKeyMappingsCommand(connection);
          recordKeyMappingCommmaond.setSession(this.getAuthenticatedUserSession().getSession());
          recordKeyMappingCommmaond.setTableId(mainTableId);
          recordKeyMappingCommmaond.setRecordIds(recordIds);
          recordKeyMappingCommmaond.execute();
          GetRemoteSystemListCommand remoteSystemsCommand = new GetRemoteSystemListCommand(connection);
          remoteSystemsCommand.setSession(this.getAuthenticatedUserSession().getSession());
          remoteSystemsCommand.execute();
          RemoteSystemProperties[] remoteSystemProperties = remoteSystemsCommand.getRemoteSystems()
Thanks

  • Remote Key Manupulation in Java MDM APIs

    Hi ,
    I need to do create/Modify/retrieve remote key using MDM Java APIs. I have found out two APIs for retrieve and modify of remote key (RetrieveRecordsKeyMappingsCommand and ModifyRecordsKeyMappingsCommand using RecordKeyMapping).
    I am not getting any API to create remote key using Java APIs. Can anyone help me in this regard.If anyone has sample code also that would a great help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Subhasis

    Hi,
    Please have a look on below code ...
              /TableID/
              TableId tableId = schema.getTable("table Code").getId();
    RecordId recordId = new RecordId("R1"); // record id of record to which you are going to add key mapping
              /Remote System Properties/
              RemoteSystemProperties remoteSystem = schema.getRemoteSystem("RemoteSystemCode");
              /*Creating new instance of RecordKeyMapping */
              RecordKeyMapping recordKeyMapp = KeyMappingFactory.createRecordKeyMapping(tableId,recordId);
              /*Creating new instance of KeyMapping */
              KeyMapping keyMapping = KeyMappingFactory.createKeyMapping(remoteSystem.getId());
              /*Setting value to Key value */
              keyMapping.addKey("1234");
              /storing keymapping instance in RecordKeyMapping instance/
              recordKeyMapp.addKeyMapping(keyMapping);
              RecordKeyMapping [] recordKey = ;
              ModifyRecordsKeyMappingsCommand rkm = null;
              try {
               rkm = new ModifyRecordsKeyMappingsCommand(context);
              } catch (SessionException e) {
              } catch (ConnectionException e) {
              rkm.setKeyMappings(keyMappings);
              try {
                   rkm.execute();
              } catch (CommandException e) {
    Hope this helps you.
    Cheers,

  • Read "Qualified Range Key Generation" with Java API.

    Hi guru,
    I use MDM 5.5 SP6.
    In MDM Console I read Qualified Range Key Generation it in "ADMIN -> Remote Systems -> Qualified Range".
    I have to get "Qualified Range Key Generation" with Java API.
    It's possible?

    Hi Rocco,
    I am also thinking  of same scenario.I thought it is possible in Java Apis by calling the webservices for MDM.there is a service of "get key mapping" where we can pass this "Qualified key range" as  parameter.In MDM we have to define a look up table for that key ranges .We will access that table through JAVA API and then link it with the key mapping service .
    If u find any solution to apply this ,please share.
    thanks and regards
    Ank

    I assume here that your application is deployed on a different physical machine of where LCES is deployed and running.
    Do the following test:
    - Say that LCES is deployed on machine1 and your application is deployed on machine2. Ping machine1 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine1 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    - Ping machine2 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine2 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    Usually this kind of error would happen if your servers have internal and external ip addresses.

  • Java API for running entire ".sql" files on a remote DB ( mySQL or Oracle)?

    Hi,
    Would anyone happen to know if there's a java API for executing entire ".sql" files (containing several different SQL commands), on a remote database server ?
    It's enough if the API works with MySQL and/or Oracle.
    Just to demonstrate what i'm looking for:
    Suppose you've created sql file "c:/test.sql" with several script lines:
    -- test.sql:
    insert into TABLE1 values(3,3);
    insert into TABLE1 values(5,5);
    create table TABLE2 (name VARCHER) ENGINE innoDB; -- MYSQL specific
    Then the java API should look something like:
    // Dummy java code:
    String driver="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver";
    String url= "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/myDb";
    SomeAPI.executeScriptFile( "c:/test.sql", driver, url);
    Thanks.

    No such a API, but it's easy to parse all sqls in a file, then run those command:
    For instance:
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.util.Properties;
    /* A demo show how to load some sql statements. */
    public class testSQL {

  • How to use Remote key for linking two repository

    Hi,
    I have a challenge like not to repeate common tables like Company_code,Currency,Vendor name,customer name across all repositories.
    Is there any way I can use 'Remote key' to link different repository.
    I can create a Main table with all common attributes required across the repository but want to know how I can connect it to different repository.
    For example to get company-code in Vendor table , how can I link Company-code main table(customized) in another repository may be thru 'Remote key'.
    Going thru java api route is not prefffered for the sake of simple solution.
    Appreciate your help in providing any idea and detail steps for the process.

  • MDM API for key Mapping.

    Hi All,
    Can anyone tell me how to use MDM API for updating key mapping ?
    I want to create a webservice which will take customer,client system and key for updating key mapping in mdm.
    Can anyone give me clue on this

    Hello Rama:
    Under Java you can do these things:
    Delete key mapping:
    CatalogData.DeleteKeyMapping(ClientSystem : String, Table :
    String, RecordID : int, Keys : String[])
    Argument Description
    ClientSystem -> Client system name
    Table -> Table name
    RecordID -> Record ID
    Keys -> Remote keys to remove
    Set a new keymapping:
    CatalogData.SetKeyMapping(ClientSystem : String, Table :
    String, RecordID : int, Keys : String[], DefaultKeyIndex
    : int)
    Argument Description
    ClientSystem ->    ClientSystem name
    Table ->           Table name
    RecordID ->        Record ID.
    Keys ->            Remote Keys you want to add
    DefaultKeyIndex -> Index entry into the key parameter
    indicating the key value as the default.
    I hope that helps

  • Java API to read the Encrypted Values from Windows Registry settings

    Is there any Java API to read the Encrypted Values from Windows Registry settings ?
    My Java Application invokes a 3rd party Tool that writes the key/value to windows registry settings under : “HKLM\Software\<3rdparty>\dataValue”.
    This entry is in BINARY and encrypted with 3DES, using crypto API from Microsoft.
    3rd party software to encrypt the data stored in registry it
    either uses C++ code: and uses the call “CryptProtectData” and “CryptUnProtectData” or
    If it is a .NET (C#) it uses the call “Protect” or “UnProtect” from class “ProtectData” of WinCrypt.h from the library “Crypt32.lib.
    Note: The data is encrypted using auto-generated machinekey and there is no public key shared to decrypt the Encrypted data.
    Since the data is encrypted using auto-generated machinekey the same can be decrypted from a .Net / C++ application using CryptUnprotectData or UnProtect() API of WinCrypt.h from the library “Crypt32.lib.
    To know more about Auto-Generated MachineKey in Windows refer the links below
    http://aspnetresources.com/tools/machineKey
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998288.aspx
    I need to find a way in Java to find the equivalent API to decrypt (CryptUnprotectData) and Microsoft will automatically use the correct key.
    But i couldn't find any informato related to Java APIs to enrypt or decrypt data using auto-generated machinekey.
    Is there a way to read the encrypted data from Windows regsitry settings that is encrypted using the Auto-Generated Machine Key ?
    Kindly let me know if Java provides any such API or mechanism for this.

    If the symmetric key is "auto-generated" and is not being stored anywhere on the machine, it implies that the key is being regenerated based on known values on the machine. This is the same principle in generating 3DES keys using PBE (password-based-encryption). I would review the documentation on the C# side, figure out the algorithm or "seed" values being used by the algorithm, and then attempt to use the JCE to derive the 3DES key using PBE; you will need to provide the known values as parameters to the PBE key-generation function in JCE. Once derived, it can be used to decrypt the ciphertext from the Regiistry in exactly the same way as the CAPI/CNG framework.
    An alternate way for Java to use this key, is to write a JNI library that will call the native Windows code to do the decryption; then the Java program does not need to know details about the key.
    That said, there is a risk that if your code can derive the key based on known seeds, then so can an attacker. I don't know what your applicatiion is doing, but if this is anything related to compliance for some data-security regulation like PCI-DSS, then you will fail the audit (for being unable to prove you have adequate controls on the symmetric key) if a knowledgable QSA probes this design.

  • Performance of Java API 2

    Hello,
    we are currently using Java API 2 that comes with MDM 5.5 SP5 (Build 5.5.42.65) to read extended information from the mdm repository.
    Our process:
    We are export every product as a XML file over the MDM Syndicator and enrich this file with extended information from the API (This step is needed because we cannot export all data by the Syndicator, for example multilingual attributes / some product data like textblocks / id's for incremental updates ...).
    Actually the performance is really bad, we need ca. 10-15 secs to process one file, that is really frustrating when you have stored near 70.000 products in your repository.
    Are there some tricks to improve the performance or is the API really so slow? Or any better alternatives for an fast export?
    Thanks for your help ....
    Best Regards,
    Jan

    1 - If you are able to use the EJB connection with the LiveCycle SDK classes (you have are using a supported java version such as 1.5_xx, your network security doesn't prevent RMI calls, etc.) then that is your best bet.
    2 - Yes, you will need the java APIs to be accessible for your application. The LiveCycle APIs have remote EJB endpoints so you can access them from another server.
    3 - There are samples that ship with the LiveCycle server (located in your LCInstall\LiveCycle_ES_SDK\samples\Forms). There are also samples on the LiveDocs page at: http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/help/000064.html

  • Search for records by Remote Key or Remote System in Data Manager

    Hi all,
    We have a requirement to search for records by Remote key and/or Remote System at the main table level. Is it possible to do this using the Data Manager? If so, how?
    Thanks in advance!
    Lavanya.

    Hi,
    I crosschecked with MDM 5.5 and Don't think it is possible through Data Manager. How ever using APIs you can search records using remote key/ remote system.

  • ABAP API and Key Mapping

    Hello there,
    I am trying to use the MDM 7.1 ABAP API to access MDM data from within a BI system.
    Now I am wondering how to access key mapping for records in the Main Table.
    In the Java API there is the RetrieveRecordsKeyMappingsCommand which returns all key mapping information for a list of record IDs. But I cannot find something similar in the ABAP API.
    Who knows where to start?
    Thanks for hints
    Ingo

    Hi ,
    In ABAP API also you can retrieve key mapping of main table records using function 'MDM_API_RETR_CLIENT_SYS_KEYS'.
    You will get details of this function in sap library or ABAP API documentation provided by SAP.
    For any further queries kindly reply.

    Hi again,
    i managed to solve the problem:) Totally stupid.. the process variable name was not specified correctly..., but more stupid sounds the error message:))))

  • PRC Collab Java API - external op job?

    I am looking into using the PRC Collab Java API (to add calendar tasks programmatically) and want to know if that could be called as an external operation. It would probably be possible if the latest version edk.jar with the Collaboration API was on the Automation Portal Server. We have Automation Portal 5.0.4 installed and it comes with an older version of the EDK.jar.
    Any comments and recommendations on on the best method way to accomplish what I am trying to do, would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Vanita

    Collaboration Server API support is added to the EDK since v 5.1.  It provides support for Collab Project, documents, tasks and disucssions.  You can use methods in com.plumtree.remote.prc.collaboration.tasklist.ITaskListManager and ITaskList to create tasklists and tasks.  However, if you want to manage Collab Calendar events, you cannot use PRC Collab API, since there is currently no Calendar support in the API.
