I'm looking for a Java API that implements the SSH, SFTP and Telnet protocols. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I believe SSH and telnet are used for interactive command line sessions, don't know how you want to use them in a program.

Hello,
I just took some time to start looking into the java-8 buzz about streams and lambdas.
And have a couple of questions...
The first thing that surprised me is that you cannot apply the streams operations,
like .map(), .filter() directly on a java.util.List.
First question:
Is there a technical reason why the java.util.List interface was not extended with
default-implementations of these streams operations? (I guess there is...?)
Googling a bit, I see lots of examples of people coding along the pattern of:
    List<String> list = someExpression;
    List<String> anotherList = list.stream().map(x -> f(x)).collect(Collectors.toList());
which becomes very clumsy, if you have a lot of these stream-operations in your code.
Since .stream() and .collect() are completely irrelevant to what you want to express,
you would rather like to say:
    List<String> list = someExpression;
    List<String> anotherList = list.map(x -> f(x));
What I first did as a workaround, was to implement (see code below)
a utility interface FList, and a utility class FArrayList (extending ArrayList with .map() and .filter()).
(The "F" prefixes stand for "functional")
Using these utilities, you now have two options to create less clumsy code:
    List<String> list = someExpression;
    List<String> anotherList = FList.map(list, x -> f(x));
    List<String> thirdList = FList.filter(list, somePredicate);
or better:
    FList<String> list = new FArrayList<String>(someExpression);
    FList<String> anotherList = list.map(x -> someFunction(x));
    FList<String> thirdList = list.filter(somePredicate);
My second question:
What I would really like to do is to have FArrayList implement the
java.util.stream.Stream interface, to fully support the java-8 functional model.
Since that involves implementing some 40 different methods, I would just like to know,
if you know somebody has already done this kind of work, and the code is
available somewhere as a public jar-file or open-source?

I've just installed JAVA into my computer.
Then I found a folder called "Java 1.4.2 SDK" or
something like that. but in the folder there wasn't
any .exe file to run JAVA, os i would like to know how
do i run JAVA after i installed it?

Java API to read the Encrypted Values from Windows Registry settings

Is there any Java API to read the Encrypted Values from Windows Registry settings ?
My Java Application invokes a 3rd party Tool that writes the key/value to windows registry settings under : “HKLM\Software\<3rdparty>\dataValue”.
This entry is in BINARY and encrypted with 3DES, using crypto API from Microsoft.
3rd party software to encrypt the data stored in registry it
either uses C++ code: and uses the call “CryptProtectData” and “CryptUnProtectData” or
If it is a .NET (C#) it uses the call “Protect” or “UnProtect” from class “ProtectData” of WinCrypt.h from the library “Crypt32.lib.
Note: The data is encrypted using auto-generated machinekey and there is no public key shared to decrypt the Encrypted data.
Since the data is encrypted using auto-generated machinekey the same can be decrypted from a .Net / C++ application using CryptUnprotectData or UnProtect() API of WinCrypt.h from the library “Crypt32.lib.

I need to find a way in Java to find the equivalent API to decrypt (CryptUnprotectData) and Microsoft will automatically use the correct key.
But i couldn't find any informato related to Java APIs to enrypt or decrypt data using auto-generated machinekey.

If the symmetric key is "auto-generated" and is not being stored anywhere on the machine, it implies that the key is being regenerated based on known values on the machine. This is the same principle in generating 3DES keys using PBE (password-based-encryption). I would review the documentation on the C# side, figure out the algorithm or "seed" values being used by the algorithm, and then attempt to use the JCE to derive the 3DES key using PBE; you will need to provide the known values as parameters to the PBE key-generation function in JCE. Once derived, it can be used to decrypt the ciphertext from the Regiistry in exactly the same way as the CAPI/CNG framework.
An alternate way for Java to use this key, is to write a JNI library that will call the native Windows code to do the decryption; then the Java program does not need to know details about the key.
That said, there is a risk that if your code can derive the key based on known seeds, then so can an attacker. I don't know what your applicatiion is doing, but if this is anything related to compliance for some data-security regulation like PCI-DSS, then you will fail the audit (for being unable to prove you have adequate controls on the symmetric key) if a knowledgable QSA probes this design.

Serializing a class that implements the Singleton pattern

I am relatively new to Java and especially to serialization so the answer to this question might be obvious, but I could not make it work event though I have read the documentation and the article "Using XML Encoder" that was linked from the documentation.
I have a class that implements the singleton pattern. It's definition is as follows:

Any java API to get the metadata for a deployed bpel process in soa/bpm11g?

Just wonder if this is possible, that there is some existing java api to retrieve the metadata (containing activities, isSynchrous, version information etc) for a deployed bpel process? If not, is there any other way to achieve this goal ( or example query database table directly)?
I can only find this link for soa11g java api. I am able to invoke the bpel process using this API(direct binding) from java client.

2. in dev_soainfra database schema, the CUBE_INSTANCE table contains most of soa bpel components information. The BPM_CUBE_PROCESS table seems to contain only the process defined in a bpm application. This sounds a little confused, if we want to develop a bpel application, should it be put in soa or bpm application and what is the difference?
Please feel free to correct any mistakes here.

Custom PL/SQL API that inserts the data into a custom interface table.

We are developing a custom Web ADI integrator for importing suppliers into Oracle.
The Web ADI interface is a custom PL/SQL API that inserts the data into a custom interface table. We have defined the content, uploader and an importer. The importer is again a custom PL/SQL API that will process the records inserted into the custom table and updates the STATUS column of the custom interface table. We want to show the status column back on the spreadsheet.
Defined the 'Document Row' import rule and added the rows that would identify the unique record.
Errored row import rule, we are using a SELECT * from custom_table where status<>'Success' and vendor_name=$param$.vendor_name
The source of this parameter is import.vendor_name
We have also defined an Error lookup.
After the above setup is completed, we invoke the create document and click on Oracle->Upload.
The records are getting imported, but the importer program is failing with An error has occurred while running an API import. The ERRORED_ROWS step 20003:ER_500141, parameter number 1 must contain the value BIND in attribute 1.'

The same issue.
Need help.

I'll break down each piece
LOCALHOST: This is the URL for your OBIEE web host
:9704: This is the typical port for OBIEE installs (sometimes 7777)
?Go: This is where the it's gets the name "GO URL". It's the GO command.
&Path= : This is the full path of the report. In my case, it's in the administrator folder in a sub folder called OTN Test. The report itself is called Page Test.
&Style=: This sets the style, or the look and feel, on how the report is presented. The default is oracle10.
&Format=: You can set this to default the presentation. I set it to PDf so that a PDF will generated.

Are you sure about that? Several highly regarded, widely downloaded apps, e.g., eReader, have an option to hide the status bar. The developer forums are awash in discussions about the commands to hide the status bar-- it's built in to the SDK.
I figure someone will have put out a small program that does nothing but hide the status bar or allow its tweaking... much like StatusBar does on the Palm OS 5 PDAs...
