Java bean solution

How to implement a java bean so that it can produce java class as an output by taking another java class as an input.
Here one need to understand that I have to develop "resource generator" that will accept an interfcae having set of properties methods and events.
And produces output as implementations(3-4 types of implementations) of the input interface.
Plz suggest basic guideline for that.
Saurav.

Well, if you take beans in you can get the beaninfo and implement what you want. Do you have a set list of classes you have to take as inputs? and well defined rules for what has to output? and a finite set of classes to be output?

    Best regrads,

    Hi
    Is it possible to create a java bean, with a click event which populates data from database table to an excel sheet.
    The data(can be obtained in a string format with delimiters, but can anyone help me in exporting this into an excel sheet). and also to provide user to take prints of the data in the excel sheet.
    If Print of the JTable could be done(by settin printable as this), but this involves unwanted buttons to be printed, and entire table is not available in the spread sheet format.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hello Experts
    How to store multiline string literals in java bean shell like we use triple quote for jython variable
    Using Jython
    str=""" helllo

    above syntax is working but not for java bean shell like below
    String str=""" hello

    So how to do this in java bean shell. I came to this scenario while storing logs to a variable. I believe there is no solution for storing multiline strings to java bean shell variable.

    Urk?
    A JSP is meant to be displayed. If there's business logic in that JSP, get it out of there. Process the bean as needed on the server side and send the flow on to some view that actually should be displayed.

  • Reading Forms Key Mappings from java bean - how ?

    I want to be able to invoke key trigger code in a Forms 10g run-time from a java bean (extends BeanWrapper) either by:
    a) using inherited method calls passing the KeyEvent retrieved from my listener, or
    b) dispatching a custom event from the bean with a parameter value which identifies the key trigger to process (not the key code & modifier string).
    On a), I've not been able to identify any method in the BeanWrapper hierarchy tree that might help me do this, and samples like (http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com/categorie-465294.html) seem to imply that no such method exists.
    In terms of b), the oracle.forms.engine.KeyMapTable class seems to be what I want (seems to translate the KeyEvent into a FormAction/string using server settings), but getting a hold of this object through (oracle.forms.engine.Main)getHandler().getApplet() doesn't seem possible.
    How are others invoking eg: key-crerec from a Forms 10g bean component in a way which is sensitive to server key mappings ?
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    I have no experience with KeyEvents in Forms, but if the KeyMapTable class really is the solution, can't you just instantiate one yourself.
    Looking at the constructor it only needs a single argument, the oracle.forms.engine.Runform class. You should be able to get a handle on it with:
    IHandler hander = getHandler();
    if (handler instanceof UICommon) {
        UICommon u = (UICommon)handler;
        // u.getDispatcher() should get oracle.forms.engine.Runform
    }Not sure if it will work, but you can give it a try.
    I love pushing the PJC and Oracle Forms applet to its limits. Not really sure if Oracle intended the PJC framework to do stuff like this, but it sure would have helped if they have JavaDoc about the oracle.forms.* classes

  • Java beans in oracle developer suite 10g

    Hello every body.
    I'm a newbie in oracle. I want to use java beans in my forms. Using some examples I could write a form for login. The entered user name and password could be check in java class and then java class shows a message that says "login failed" or "login is successful". It is ok I think. But there is a problem.
    The first time I type the user name and password, it seem that java class doesn't recognize it or maybe cash the before username and password. So the first time that I change the u and p the java class shows the result of before user. In java class I just have a simple if clause to check u and p.
    In fact the sequence of execution of my program is like this:
    Correct username and password ---> login failed
    Correct username and password ---> login is successful
    Correct username and password ---> login is successful
    Correct username and password ---> login is successful
    Wrong username and password ---> login is successful
    Wrong username and password ---> login failed
    Wrong username and password ---> login failed
    Wrong username and password ---> login failed
    Correct username and password ---> login failed
    Correct username and password ---> login is successful
    Correct username and password ---> login is successful
    what can I do? should I clear the cash? where is it's cash? Any solution is really really appreciated.

    Can you send me the .fmb & the .java,.class or the .jar file for login bean.
    I will try in my pc and let u know the problem.

  • Can we use an overloaded constructor of a Java Bean with Session Tracking

    Hi Friends,
    If any one can solve my query.... It would be helpful.
    Query:
    I have a Java Bean with an overloaded constructor in it. I want to use the overloaded constructor in my JSP.
    1. One way of doing that is to use it directly in the "Scriptlets" (<% %>). But then I am not sure of the way to do session tracking. I think I can use the implicit objects like "session", "request" etc. but not sure of the approach or of the implementation method.
    2. Another way is through the directive <jsp: useBean>. But I cannot call an overloaded constructor with <jsp: useBean>. The only alternative way is to use the directive <jsp: useBean> where I have to write getter and setter methods in the Java Bean and use the <jsp: setProperty> and <jsp: getProperty> standard actions. Then with this approach I cannot use the overloaded constructor.
    Can any one suggest me the best approach to solve this problem ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Gaive.

    My first reaction is that you can refactor your overloaded constructor into an init(arguments...) method. Instead of overloaded constructor, you can call that init method. This is the ideal solution if possible.
    As to the two choices you listed:
    1. This is OK, I believe. You can use scriplet to define the bean and put it into session scope of the pageContext. I am not sure exactly what you meant by session tracking; whatever you meant, it should be doable using HttpSessionAttributeListener and/or HttpSessionBindingListener.
    2. Agreed. There is no way that <jsp:useBean> can call a constructor that has non-empty arguments.
    Please tell me how it works for you.

  • Approach of Java Bean Model: What is the best way?

    Hi Experts,
    In our project, we are trying to connect Oracle Database and display the tables and information in it on Web Dynpro View.
    For this I'm following 4 step procedure broadly:
    1. Java DC: a) Create Class files --> one for connecting Database (JDBC Connectivity) ; other only having Input and Output variables with corresponding getter & setter methods ;and one more class file having all methods. I make Jar file out of this class files and store that within that DC project under _comp folder.
    2. Ext Lib DC: a) Copy the created Jar file in Library and make 2 public parts (one PP for compile time and other PP for assembly time).
    3. SAP J2EE DC: a) Create DC of type Library and above create PPs is added to this library.
    4. Web Dynpro DC: a) Add SAP J2EE DC of Library Type in my Used DCs. b) This will make the  JAR file created in Java DC to be available in options of " Jars from Pubilc Part" and  use all these class files as Models. And Using them we access the Oracle DB and get access to data.
    This proved to long exercise. I want to know if there is any other approach available other than this. I'm aware EJB Models approach, but this will be hit on my performance, so want to avoid this. Yet if any shorter approach is available.
    My Idea behind this long approach is from the SDN provided example on Java bean where in Web Dynpro Project uses a local jar file created from Java project which wraps a EJB Module project and Enterprise Application project. So in DC perspective if we have to include jar file we have to make it public part.
    <a href="/people/valery.silaev/blog/2005/09/14/a-bit-of-impractical-scripting-for-web-dynpro from Valery : A bit of (impractical) scripting for Web Dynpro</a> was in great help for making jar file exposed as Public part.
    I want opinions and suggestion on this regard and best available approaches.
    Thanks in advance
    Srikant

    D.V.,
    Here is an option to trun steps 1-4 into 1-2
    As far as you are using your Java classes only from WD DC-s, then:
    1. Put all your Java source in WD DC, create single public part for compilation. Bonus: you may create JavaBean model right here and add it to public part as well.
    2. In other WD DC-s refer public part created above and add run-time reference (via Project -> Properties) to corresponding DC. Now you can use both Java classes and JavaBean model.

  • Java bean - urgent help

    Hi,
    I am creating a java bean in a jsp file. I want to pass this bean to a java class in the same jsp file.

    public int addCustomer(*C*ustomer pcus)
              CustomerDb Cdb=new CustomerDb();
              return Cdb.addCustomer(pcus);

    int customerid;
    public int addCustomer(*C*ustomer pcus){

    Problem Description
    You are getting
    FRM-40735: WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-105100.
    When you run FileUpload utility
    Solution Description
    Follow the steps given below to fix and run the FileUpload Bean successfully.
    Make sure you have set your System Path similar to following, in the same order:
    System PATH:
    E:\Dev6i\bin;E:\Dev6i\forms60\java;E:\jdk1.2.2\bin;E:\jdk1.2.2\jre\bin;
    E:\jdk1.2.2\jre\bin\classic; %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;
    %SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\Oracle\JInitiator1.1.8.16\bin;.
    CLASSPATH :
    E:\dev6i\forms60\java;E:\dev6i\forms60\java\UploadServer.jar;
    E:\jdk1.2.2\jre\bin\classic;E:\jdk1.2.2\jre\lib;E:\Dev6i\TOOLS\COMMON60\JAVA\IMPORTER.JAR;.
    Now, Open Form Builder ->Layout Editor->Program menu->Import Java Classes
    Check here to make sure that the FileUpload.class is displayed there under
    Oracle/forms/demos/uploadclient folder.
    Note that the java bean uses the implementation class
    file oracle.forms.demos.uploadclient.FileUploader
    So, you need to put the FileUploader.class in
    <ORACLE_HOME>\FORMS60\java\oracle\forms\demos\uploadclient\FileUploader.class
    or you need to change the oracle.forms.demos.uploadclient.FileUploader
    in implementation Class property matching to
    the class name where you have actually put it.
    You need to set archive_jini=f60all_jinit.jar,uploadclient.jar.sig in formsweb.cfg
    Open the fileupload.fmb, remove the attached Library.
    Open the fileupload.pll from File->Open.
    Recompile all the procedure and packages again.
    Save this fileupload.pll.
    Then reattach this library as a attached library to this form, recompile the form.
    This should solve the problem.
    If the path is set as explained above solves the PDEUI0001 problem of
    Java Importer also.
    Explanation
    Reason:
    This error occurs when the upload button is pressed in the File upload utility
    because the attached PLL library is not compiled properly.
    Please let me know if this helps.

  • Dynamic Java bean classes for XSD using JAVA (not any external batch or sh)

    Hi,
    How can we generate dynamic Java bean classes for XSD (dynamically support All XSD at runtime)?

    Pretty sure you can't. Probably can do a lot of them with years of work.
    And can probably can do a resonable subset suitable for the business at hand with only a moderate effort.
    Note: - Through java code via only needs to generate this process. (Not using any xjc.bat or xjc.sh from JAXB).The Sun jdk, not jre, comes with the java compiler as part of it. You can create in memory class (I believe in memory) based on java code you create.
    I believe BCEL alllows the same thing (in memory) but you start with byte codes.
    You could just create a dynamic meta data solution as well, via maps and generic methods. Not as fast though.

  • Best approach for building dialogs based on Java Beans

    I have a large amount of Java Beans with several properties each. These represent all the "data" in our system. We will now build a new GUI for the system and I intend to reuse the beans as far as possible. My idea is to automatically generate the configuration dialogs for each bean using the java.beans package.
    What is the best approach for achieving this? Should I use PropertyEditors or should I make my own dialog-generator using the Introspetor class or are there any other suitable solutions?
    All suggestions and tips are very welcome.
    Thanks!

    Definitely, it is better for you to use JTable. Why not try it?

  • Getting Java Beans working with Developer Forms 6i

    Hello everyone,
    I have been trying to get Java Beans to work with the Developer Forms 6i. I keep getting diffrent errors depending on the bean I play with. I will detail the problems and the computer setup. I am sure this problem is a configuration one, I just dont seem to have enough experiance to determine the issue or the configuration problem.
    Here are the problems I am encountering:
    Problems 1:
    --JDeveloper 10g
    I cant see the VBean class. When I add this code, the VBean decleration comes up with an error.
    import oracle.forms.ui.VBean;
    public class MyNewClass extends VBean
    public Class1()
    This code shows the IMPORT statement with a wavy blue line under it and the word VBean after the extends also has on. I understand that this means that the JDeveloper cant find the class, I just cant seem to find the correct environment variable to set to point to this.
    Second Problem:
    --Forms 6i
    I open forms, and create a new form. I then add a datablock and a canvas. I open the canvas and drop the BeanArea component on the canvas. I enter the fully pathed/qualified Bean in the Implementation Class and get one of three errors. Either a FRM-13008, a FRM-99999 with a 13009 or a 13010 error. I suspect that the 13008 error is because the bean I created does not have the correct decleration types or IView interface calls. My problem is that when I load any of the Oracle provided beans I get the 13009 or 13010 errors. I have looked here and in Metalinks for some kind of solution that I haven't already tryed, but to no avail.
    Any advice on either of these problems would be appreciated. Please keep in mind that we cant upgrade to version 9 or 10 yet (silly aif force and their regulations), so those type of solutions arn't usable to me.
    Here is the configuration information that I know about. If there is more information that can be provided or I need to provide more information, please let me know and I will get what I can.
    Thanks,
    Bill Hunsicker

    Ok, I added the f60all.jar to the project. This allowed me to create the file using the VBean. I created the JAR file and copied it to the forms60/java directory. I also copied the new .class files to the forms60/java/mil/af/rs/leads direcory.
    I then edited my formsweb.cfg file and had to add the jinit_archive tag. I set it = f60all.jar, P3load.jar. I also added my P3load.jar file to the default archive tag.
    When I open up Forms, drop the bean area component on the canvas, and set the Implementation Class, I still get an error (13008), and when I run the form in web, and click the button to invoke the bean I get no response from the bean.
    here is the code to invoke the bean. in_filename is a text component on the canvas and contained in the CTRL block. The bean area is named BEAN (because the demo was that way).
    :in_filename := get_custom_property('BEAN',1,'getFileName');
    synchronize;
    Not sure where to go from here, but thanks for the help so far.

  • Writing java bean class?

    Hi All,
    In my scenario,I am getting all pagelevel details from the database.
    I mean Suppose in my web application 10 pages are there.for 10 pages, all details (like page title,button names,page header etc) based on user.per user it will vary .Some body have insert,update buttons ,some body not.
    I was created java bean with static getters and setters for all pages to get the data and store.
    I don't want to connect to the database to get the page details per every page.so,
    its working for me.what happen if more than one user access the application.The details will effect to all when new user enter into the system?
    any suggestions.....................................????
    if I write non - static getters and setters ,I need to instantiate everypage.
    its takes more memory ,In my web application I have above 75 pages.
    solution???

    1)So,I need to pass the Class object to the
    session.setAttribute()
    right?
    Well to be precise - you create an instance of the class (object) for each registered and logged in user and then yes - store the object as a session attribute
    >
    2)Suppose I change my bean to instance bean,bean have
    above 20 instance variables .I think performance
    point of view,Its not good.
    Because,if users are more than 20 what happend?
    You should probably think about 200 :). 20 users is not an issue wwhen you have sufficient hardware.
    One option would be to store the user permission/preferences in the db and associate it with the user id. Infact for large applications that hold lots of user related data per user, that would be my preferred approach.

  • Java.beans.Statement & java.sql.Statement

    My old code from jdk1.3.1 throws the ambiguous class thingie-mo-bob. Why did they implement the new java.beans.Statement, and is there anyway to make it default to the old java.sql.Statement without having to go through all the old code and add import java.sql.Statement. I have like 200 jsp files 'n it will take a loooong time!
    Pete

    There r two ways to do this.
    (i) One is Implement the java.sql.Statement
    like
    package java.beans;
    public interface Statement implements
    java.sql.Statement {
    }What? Are you suggesting he edit the source code for java.beans.Statement and make it implement java.sql.Statement?? I would most certainly not suggest that solution- beside violating the licensing agreement, it has troubling consequences since you are basically redefining the structure of a class in a way that makes no functional sense- that is, there is no reason for java.beans.Statement to implement methods like getConnection() and the other signatures of java.sql.Statement.
    I'm not sure if I'm reading your response correctly or not, but I would definitely not refactor java.beans.Statement just to get this problem solved with out editing files ... ... since java.sql.Statement is used so widely, perhaps they should have considered a different name for java.beans.Statement , although you hate to base a name off of what's going to cause the least problems, rather then what makes the most sense ... ... any way, I guess it doesn't matter now: the name has been selected .... I'd be interested to hear how you solved the problem.
