Java card with javacardx.framework.math.BigNumber

Could somebody point me to a vendor for java cards that support javacardx.framework.math.BigNumber?
I searched this forum for 2.2.2 vendors, but could only find Athena IDProtect (http://www.athena-scs.com/product.asp?pid=32). The friendly support at Athena told me that this card does support the above package.
Are there any other vendors of 2.2.2 cards that I could contact?

r java card reader & writer for RFID technology?I guess with "RFID" you are referring to "contact-less javacards"?
If yes, one keyword for you is "Mifare", a industry standard for smartcards with dual interface (contact-based and contactless).

  • Generate DES key with java card with JCRE 2.1.2

    Hi everyone,
I want to generate DES key in my applet . my card supports GP 2.0.1 and JCRE 2.1.2 .
I have tested my applet with JCRE 2.2.1 and used this JCSystem class functions to generate DES key and it compiles and works correctlly .
but when I want to compile my applet with JCRE 2.1.2 I recieve an error which says that API 2.1.2 doesn't support JCSystem class .
so I'll really appreciate it if anyone could tell me how can I generate DES key with JCRE 2.1.2
and also I use JCSystem class functions to get my card's persistent and transistent memory , so with this class not working on JCRE 2.1.2 I have problem to read my free memories too .
So I'll appreciate your help on this matter too.
    Best Regards,
    Vivian

    Hi Vivian,
I don't seem to have any problem with the code you posted. What is the error you are getting? Is it with the compiler or with the CAP file converter? If it is a compiler error, you will need to ensure that the Java Card API jar is in your build path.
Here is a simple class that works with JC 2.1.1 (which will work with JC 2.1.2 as well). I have confirmed that this applet compiles and will return encrypted data to the caller.

  • Compiling java card with Eclipse

    Hi,
I compiled and converted Java card code both from the command prompt and Eclipse in Windows XP and it worked just fine.
However, while doing the same in Eclipse set up on a Linux(Ubuntu) machine, I am getting the following error:
error: export file framework.exp of package javacard.framework not found.
I have been searching around for answers to why this might be happening. However, I haven't found any. If anyone knows why, please help me out with this.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Best,

Are you converting with an Eclipse plugin? If so what are you using?
That error is because the converter can't find the EXP files from the JCDK. You may need to update a setting in the plugin to point to the JCDK.
    Cheers,
    Shane

  • 3000 usd reward for the one can provide me any JAVA card with AES

    Hello,
i am quite desperate, i am trying to find 1000-2000 java cards (schlumberger or jcop) with AES enabled. Seems this cards are really hard to find, i got allready offers and samples but all of them without AES enabled.
I am willing offer 3000 USD reward to the person can give me the right contact where i can get those cards (at least 1000 pices) till 25-th of September. I got allready one offer from sagem orga for jcop, but their delivery time is 4-6 weeks, so it must be some one have such qtty of cards fizicaly on hand ready to ship.
Please contact me by PM or phone (+852-6723-9999) or post here your contact details and i am calling you back.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Razvan

    @clemson
i also have offer from sagem orga, delivery time 4-6 weeks, the point is that my customer does not understand that it is just a question of luck to find some one with cards on stock, he wants his goods fast. I have told him from begining not to stick on one specific card, but he preferred using jcop. I got some jcop from an analphabet, 10K pcs, jcop41 and this analphabet promised us to deliver us version 2.3.1, but the cards he delivered to us were 2.2.1 and those do not have AES !!!
This is the reason why i am offering this reward. Maybe some one knows some one who have stock of 1000-2000 pcs. Now my customer does not mind to use ANY JAVA CARD which have AES. He don't mind if those cards are from Oberthur, Nxp, Gemalto, Giesecke & Devrient, or other manufacturer. His requirements are: a) must be java card b)must have AES other features are not important.
    Reagards,

I'm trying to use a Java Card for a project I'm doing at the university. But one of our requirements is to use a one with a USB interface +(ie: without the need for a separate smart card reader).+
Have anyone come across such a device that is with a USB interface. If so please provide me with links.

  • How to Install the CAP file on the Java Card

Hi guys. I've already written and tested a java card applet. Now i want to put the CAP file on the card. Could anyone please tell me the procedures or direct me to where i can find the procedures on how to do this?
    Thanks

I suggest you search this forum. That question has been answered a lot.
    1) If you are using a pure Java Card use scriptgen tool and send those commands to the card.
    2) If you are using a Java Card with Global Platform
    A) Follow the Global Platform specs and authenticate to the card with developer keyset(0x40,0x41,0x42,0x43...0x4f)
    b) Get a kit
Since you are a beginner, I recommend you get the a kit like JCOP or one from card vendors like G&D, Gemplus, etc.

  • Java Card & X 509 certificates

    Hi,
i have a question about using Java Card with X.509 Certificates (including Attribute Certificates RFC 3281).
I already have some experience with JC 2.1.1. I have implemented applets for storing files and retrieving them (deployed on card using GemXplore Developer Kit)
and then managed the communication between off card application using the OCF 1.2.
But that was back in 2004. From what i see now OCF has been abandoned.
What i want to implement now is to load Certificates on Java Card (and store files as well).
I read that in order to manage Certificates, i have to use a PKCS 11 API (like Bouncy Castle or IAKI). Does this substitute OCF? I remember OCF was complimentary to PKCS 11.
And if it does, can i use such API to read and write other files except from Certificates? Finally does it treat Attribute Certificates (AC) same as PKI Certs?
I case you need clarifications, i ll be happy to provide. Thank you in advance
    John

I think you can store keys and data to sign in the same applet. data is just data, it won't auto interfere.
about javacard 3, I think this is a very polemic subject. To feed the troll, I'll say that I'm working in a smart card company that has done cards for many years. since the beginning, i can say. All my colleagues and I think that javacard 3 is an evil. APDUs ARE card-ish and a good thing for such small CPUs. Javacard 3 has been made by sun under pressure of telcos that don't want complicated things, and are big specification fans, that never wrote a line of code. Javacard 3 will put a big overhead on card response time: as of now, there are many abstractions levels to cross to execute bytecode, and servlets and (dont know what will replace apdus) will increase transaction times.
cards are cards, not web servers. for us, public transportaton sectors guys, javacard 3 is a frankenstein. we want speed and low level access. we don't care about J2EE.
just don't tell me about the increased mem and power of new cards. How much will they cost? A javacard is already expensive, they will not get cheaper, and this will not help spreading javacards.
people working in the J2EE world will code for javacard 3 like they do for mainframes. They will require more powerful card just because they're too lazy to code a correct embedded software . Can you imagine that? Maybe javacard 4 will require a heatsink on cards.
this is a very personal opinion of course ;)

  • Java Card and Elliptic Curves

    Hi all,
has anyone ever used Elliptic Curve cryptography on a Java Card? I can't find any documentation and sample code about this topic, although it should be implemented in the new java card specifications.
I would like to use ECC instead of RSA for encrypting a message and verifying a signature on a java card with a EC pubkey.

If anyone could provide me with sample code or hints,
that would be very helpful! The sample code wouldn't be too complicated to create (should be very similar to using RSA) but where do you execute this code? All emulators/simulators and the real Java Cards I know do not support ECC.
I only heard rumours that "Trusted Logic" has Java Cards which support ECC, but I haven't checked that.

  • There is not javacard.framework in Java Card 3.0.4

I tried to write a javacard applet. So,
Download Java Card Classic Development Kit 3.0.4 (java_card_kit-classic-3_0_4-rr-bin-do-b28-windows-06_sep_2011.jar) that I get its JAR File
I add the JAR File in to Eclipse by add it in the Java Build Path>Library.
But when I wanted to import javacard.framework, I got the "javacard.framework cannot be resolved" error. Moreover, when I saw inside the Development Kit, there was no javacard.framwork package in it. There is only "com.","net.","apache." package.

I can execute it. Now, I can get all stuff including the javacardx.framework.
I download JCDE and and put it into Eclipse Folder. There is the "Java Card" Menu on the top bar of eclipse. I set the JavaCard home at the preference of the menu to My installed JavaCard Development kit folder but I cannot apply . Eclipse said there is not converter.jar in the folder. So, I have to set the JavaCard home to My JavaCard 2.2.1 folder instead.
However, Eclipse still give me the "javacard.framework cannot be resolved" error

  • How do I test a Java card applet with different AIDs on the fly?

... Like sweeping cards from employees in a queue of people lining up in the morning?
When I created my applet, the aid is a fixed value inside the class.
Whenever I wanted to test it with another value, I changed that AID and rerun the applet.
I find it very cumbersome that needs to be rerun and rerun, over and over again.
How do I test the applet easily with any values of AIDs that I'd like to put in, on the fly.
I know I can't simulate the sweeps of card in the applet because I can't have a main method with a signature
of Strings[] args or String[] args. I can only have JUnit to help me out, but still java card doesn't allow either
main(Strings[] args) or TestCase to inherit from.
    Thanks
    Jack

your question is hard to understand but:
an applet always has one definite AID and you cant change it after install as far as i know
    a) you want to test many cards with diffrent AIDs?
->send a list of select commands and check the return values
b)you want one card with the same applet to be available for many AIDs?
->install many dummy applets forwarding the commands to one core applet
c)i think i didnt get your point :/

  • Java application communicate with java card applet without java card

Can I write java application to communicate with java card applet without using java card?
Can I send APDU to java card applet on computer(not install in java card)? If it's not, how can I write?
    Best Regard,
    Thanawan

Your JCOP simulator implements a JCVM/JCRE according
to specs. The CREF does that same thing excepts it's
only simulates the API without crypto or third party
applets. JCOP simulator is more then that. They are using thesame_ codebase for simulator and for oncard JCVM. Basically you are dealing with the same environment in both cases.

  • How do I communicate a Java Card applet with a server?

I'm new to Java and Java Card and currently developing a smart card system. I'm not sure what to use on my applet or server, JCSystem or SecureConnection or something else?
If I'm writing a server application, then how do I install it so that I can simulate it with cjre?
    Thanks in advance.
    p/s: Connection is using TSL.

    The flow is like this:
Java Card --> POS terminal -> Server
    Yes. I'm using JC3.
Here's what I've achieved so far using SocketConnection
    SocketConnection sc = (SocketConnection) Connector.open("socket://localhost:50007");
    InputStream is = sc.openInputStream();
    OutputStream os = sc.openOutputStream();
    os.write("Hello world!".getBytes());

    is.close();
