Java Class not apearing in Java Algorithm Class Search

Hi,
I installed oracle CC&B 2.3.1, with SDK 2.2.0.12. I am trying to create new java class by copying an exiting one and modifying it to be used with algorithm (Adhoc Char Value Validation).
Steps are as follows:
1-Created file by copying the exiting file AdhocNumericValidationAlgComp_Impl.java and only changing the name of the class:
public class AK_AdhocNumericValidationAlgComp_Impl
extends AK_AdhocNumericValidationAlgComp_Gen
File location :
C:\spl\CCB23DEV\java\source\cm\com\splwg\base\domain\common\characteristicType\AK_AdhocNumericValidationAlgComp_Impl.java
2-Run Artificat generator successfully , which generated the files:
C:\spl\CCB23DEV\java\sourcegen\cm\com\splwg\base\domain\common\characteristicType\AK_AdhocNumericValidationAlgComp.java
C:\spl\CCB23DEV\java\sourcegen\cm\com\splwg\base\domain\common\characteristicType\AK_AdhocNumericValidationAlgComp_Gen.java
C:\spl\CCB23DEV\java\target\cm\com\splwg\base\domain\common\characteristicType\AK_AdhocNumericValidationAlgComp.class
C:\spl\CCB23DEV\java\target\cm\com\splwg\base\domain\common\characteristicType\AK_AdhocNumericValidationAlgComp_Gen.class
C:\spl\CCB23DEV\java\target\cm\com\splwg\base\domain\common\characteristicType\AK_AdhocNumericValidationAlgComp_Impl.class
Still the class is not appearing in "Java Algorithm Class Search" when trying to add a new algorithm type referencing this java class.
I tried restarting the Tomcat application server, still not appearing.
Where did I go wrong about it?
Thanks

Tomcat was down when I deployed the changes. It seems tomcat cannot find implemented interface AdhocCharacteristicValueValidationAlgorithmSpot
The full error shows how tomcat is looking for the interface:

  • Error about base class not being found in custom class when extending

    I have gone through the process of extending the base View Object oracle.apps.icx.lov.server.ExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVO. My extension object is: snl.oracle.apps.icx.lov.server.SnlExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVO. The extension was done to change the query used in this LOV. I get the following 3 compile errors when I rebuild my project. Error: can't read: C:\JDevOAframework\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\icx\lov\server\ExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVORowImpl.java
    Error(2,35): cannot access class oracle.apps.icx.lov.server.ExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVORowImpl; file oracle\apps\icx\lov\server\ExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVORowImpl.class not found
    Error(10,60): class ExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVORowImpl not found in class snl.oracle.apps.icx.lov.server.SnlExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVORowImpl
    I have the oracle.apps.icx.lov.server package in my project and it has the following 3 files in it:
    ExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVO.xml
    ExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVORowImpl.class
    ExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVORowImpl.java
    I do not have the last file (the .java one) on my local drive under C:\JDevOAframework\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\icx\lov\server.
    Is the .java file not supposed to be in the package? I'm not sure how it got there since we don't have access to it on the server, etc.
    If anyone has any suggestions your help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Paula

    The second 2 errors were solved by copying the ExpenditureTypeNoAwardLovVORowImpl.class to my myclasses directory under oracle/apps/icx/lov/server and then recompiling.
    I'm still not sure why an empty .java file was added to my project causing the first error. I was doing this extension on a machine with Windows 2000 and I had created a new workspace (other than toolbox.jws) when I got this error. When I did the same extension on a machine with Windows XP and in the toolbax.jws workspace, the empty .java file didn't get added to my project and I didn't get the first compile error. Not sure if one of these variables was the cause.

  • [SOLVED] Java could not find or load main class

    I just tried to run a Java program using Swing components from the terminal, but I always get this error message:
    $ java VisualTest
    Error: Could not find or load main class VisualTest
    The strange thing is that it runs flawlessly from within Eclipse.
    I created VisualTest.java using the (old) Visual Editor, it's contents are:
    package visual1;
    import javax.swing.SwingUtilities;
    //import java.awt.BorderLayout;
    import javax.swing.JPanel;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    public class VisualTest extends JFrame {
    private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
    private JPanel jContentPane = null;
    * @param args
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    // TODO Auto-generated method stub
    SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
    public void run() {
    VisualTest thisClass = new VisualTest();
    thisClass.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
    thisClass.setVisible(true);
    * This is the default constructor
    public VisualTest() {
    super();
    initialize();
    * This method initializes this
    * @return void
    private void initialize() {
    this.setSize(300, 200);
    this.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
    this.setContentPane(getJContentPane());
    this.setTitle("JFrame");
    * This method initializes jContentPane
    * @return javax.swing.JPanel
    private JPanel getJContentPane() {
    if (jContentPane == null) {
    jContentPane = new JPanel();
    jContentPane.setLayout(null);
    return jContentPane;
    As you can see, there is a class named VisualTest and it contains a main function.
    My CLASSPATH variable contains a dot, like
    .:/home/mk/.java/deployment/ext/*
    I just updated my Java from JDK 7u67 to JDK 8u20 (the Oracle one, in AUR), but I can't imagine this is related (however, I haven't run Java programs from the terminal for a long time).
    Strangely enough, a simple HelloWorld.java
    public class HelloWorld {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    System.out.println("Hello World!");
    runs flawlessly from within the terminal.

    As intended by my institution, I said to Eclipse that it should store sources and class files in the same directory. Let's do ls and test:
    [~/workspace]$ ls
    total 12K
    drwxr-xr-x 4 mk mk 4.0K Sep 23 18:23 visualtest/
    -rw-r--r-- 1 mk mk 426 Sep 24 15:45 HelloWorld.class
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 mk mk 111 Sep 24 15:44 HelloWorld.java
    [~/workspace]$ java HelloWorld
    Hello World!
    vs.
    [~/workspace/visualtest/visual1]$ ls
    total 12K
    -rw-r--r-- 1 mk mk 528 Sep 24 15:38 VisualTest$1.class
    -rw-r--r-- 1 mk mk 1.1K Sep 24 15:38 VisualTest.class
    -rw-r--r-- 1 mk mk 1.2K Sep 24 00:32 VisualTest.java
    [~/workspace/visualtest/visual1]$ java VisualTest
    Error: Could not find or load main class VisualTest
    I also tested this with another project that runs fine in Eclipse, but it gives the same error message when trying to issue `java StemOpPartijFrame`.
    EDIT:
    One difference between the two OSs though is that Linux progresses.  The other decays..
    Two? I count many! And I don't think something like OpenBSD decays. ;-)

  • Class not found error afer loading classes to oracle

    hi i have loaded quite a few jars into oralce 11g databse
    created a java stored function
    and executed it
    some times it works... and hits the java front end environment... we are hitting a servlet.. and recording some output statements .. in the function
    but sometimes it throws class not found error
    any idea why its working sometimes and not some othr times?
    Also when i load the jars.. the classes are loaded but when i see the name of the classes using
    select * from user_objects where object_type like 'J%'
    then i see some additional characters prefixxed the class names ... is that causing the problem?
    something like this

    Learning_man,
    Obviously you need to learn how to ask a question.
    There is nothing in your post other than 'It doesn't work. Why? Help"
    without any specific example. Also you still fail to include a 4 digit version!!!
    It is also the third or the fourth time you asked this very same question.
    Can you learn how to ask a question please? And stop repeating the question when you don't get a response?
    And no, the extra characters are not the problem.
    An incorrect CLASSPATH probably is.

  • Compilation Error for import classes not found in generated Proxy Class

    Hi,
    We are generating java classes for the COM dll using JCOM com2java compiler.
    We are getting a compilation error for import class not found when compiling the
    generated Proxy java source code. It can't find the com.bea.jcom.Dispatch class that
    the generated Proxy java source code extends. It also can't find com.bea.jcom.Variant
    or com.bea.jcom.Param. These are interfaces or data types or classes used by COM
    library.
    I added weblogic.jar to my class path and the only Dispatch class i found inside
    the weblogic.jar is com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch;
    We have com objects for which we want to develop an EJB client to interface with
    the COM object using JCOM with Native Mode disabled.
    Any help on the compilation error..I tried changing the extends for Dispatch to com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch
    but the other errors are still there.
    To begin with, I think the generated code should not refer to any of the COM data
    types.
    Any help please.
    Thank you in advance,

    Hi,
    I resolved the other errors by changing all references from com.bea.jcom.Variant

    package.
    Thank you all anyways,

  • Class not Found when accessing Proxy class from backing bean in VC.

    Hi All,
    I'm attempting to access a class of a webservice(generated as a proxy) within my ADF application and invoke the method within a backing bean of the View Controller(bean scope : backing bean). The proxy has generated an ObjectFactory class among other classes. When I access this Object factory class from within the backing bean, the application throws a Class not found error.
    I don't know where the error lies since I've declared the View Controller of the ADF application dependent on the Proxy and I've imported the class and accessing it within a backing bean. How would you suggest I approach resolveing this.
    JDev : 1.1.1.4
    Thank you.
    Regards
    PP.

    Hello Arun,
    Thank you for suggesting a Data control, but my requirement isn't to drag and drop the method as a button. It's more of a behind the scnes updating data via a database adapter requirement.
    I've resolved the issue. turns out, my deployment archive didn't include the proxy.jpr. Once included it works likea charm.
    Thanks

  • Class not found in web-inf/classes folder of war file within ear file

    Hi all,
              I am using Weblogic 8.1 sp4. I have a war file within an ear file. I am trying to deploy the war file with a few classes within its web-inf/classes folder, however when the classes are in that folder I consistently get a class not found exception when trying to instantiate them. If I package the classes in a jar file and then put that jar file within the web-inf/lib folder of the war, the classes are also not found.
              If I put these two classes in the app-inf/classes folder of the ear file, everything works as expected and the classes are found.
              Any ideas of why this is happening. This seems to be a very simple thing that should work, but appears to not be working at all.
              thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas.

    Hi,

  • Class not Found Execption for inner classes

    Hi ,
    When I am trying to deploy a custom component despite of putting the class path I am facing isses regarding class not found for classes that are present in an inner jar.Can someone please let me know what could nbe wrong.Please let me know the correct way of doing so.
    I am adding a data type as well and adding the path thre also.
    Regards,
    Leena

    The most common problem is in the path part of the class-path.  One thing to remember is not to bother with .. or / at the start of the path.  For example my jar files are in a lib folder off the root of my application:
    <class-path>lib\aglj40.jar lib\pdfcore.jar lib\pdfencryption.jar lib\pdfservices.jar lib\rideau.jar</class-path>

    System.out.println("Names are "+remObj.getNames());
    catch(Exception e) {
    System.out.println("Problem encountered accessing remote object "+e);
    }

    That's a remote exception coming from the registry. You need to learn to recognize remote exceptions and their source, it's a mjaor source of confusion in RMI.
    In this case it's the registry that can't find the stub class.
    The stub class needs to be in the CLASSPATH of (i) the Registry and (ii) the client as well. Ditto the remote interface; ditto any application classes it refers to, and so on until closure.
    The easiest way to achieve (i) is to start it in the server's JVM, with LocateRegistry.createRegistry().

    Many Thanks for the reply-It's working now
    I added the MySQL connector in the following manner
    1)Open the Tom Cat server console by Selecting 'Servers' in Package Explorer
    2)Right Click 'Tomcat v5.5 at localhost.server'
    3)Select 'Open Launch Configuration' under 'General Information'
    4)Select the 'Classpath' tab in the Edit configuration window that opens
    5)Select 'Add External Jars' and add the required connector

    Thanks Karthik & Kamil,
    During SLD preparation in System Preparation phase I had updated the CR/CIM of SLD but I committed a mistake that I applied the CR (From 8.x to 9.0) and then (From 9.x to 9.y) without doing it sequentially from (1.x to 2.0) then from (2.x to 3.0) and so on as per 669669. It didn't give any error.As of now it is showing CIM1.6.38 and CR 9.13. Is my current problem related to this?
                                                                                                                                                    Current error message is saying (The definition of Technical System 'SOL~ABAP' is not correct: 'SOL~ABAP': Technical System must be installed onat least one Host.) similarly for Java (The definition of
    Technical System 'SOL~JAVA' is not correct: 'SOL~JAVA': Technical System must be installed on at least one Host.).In LMDB I can see in technical system Abap and Java has host assigned to it.Plz suggest.

  • XSLT Mapping with Java class not working in Integration Repository

    Hi,
    I have an XSLT mapping program with Java enhancement and I was able to successfully tested it in Stylus Studio. However, when I imported the Java class and the xslt program in Enterprise Service Builder and tested it, my program does not compile.
    Here is the error message: "Transformer Configuration Exception occurred when loading XSLT mapping_temp.xsl; details: Could not compile stylesheet".
    My java program is in a zip file containing SOAPHeaderHandler.java and SOAPHeaderhandler.class. My Java has a package com.nga.xslt.
    Here is the declaration of my Java class in the XSLT: xmlns:javamap="java:com.nga.xslt.SOAPHeaderHandler"
    It seems that it could not read the java class. Can you please advice what is wrong?

    Hi ,
    select XMLTOOLKIT option in Operation mapping and execute it.
    I am not sure we can call java program in XSLT Program,but alternative is copy the code and use it in XSLT mapping it self,that means your XSLT program will become with JAVA extensions.
    then in Operation mapping level select SAPXMLTOOL kit option and execute it. i hope it will work. if it is not working then you have deploy some JAXP files on server,because the way execution of XSLT Mpaping program got changed,like when eve you executing XSLT with extnasions( if you are not using XMLTOOL kit option) then you have to use latest version of JAXP.JDK files.

  • For weeks I have been viewing a doggy day care via their web cam.  This weekend I upgraded to Lion and have been unable to view the center since.  I get an error message for java webcam class not found.  All of my software is up to date--suggestions?

    For weeks I have been viewing a doggy day care center via their web cam.  This weekend I upgraded to Lion and have been unable to view the center.  I get an error message for Java plug-in 1.6.0_29 ....webcam class not found.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Sorry, don't know what else to suggest unless there's a URL to the problem stream that someone here can try. Otherwise we can't test it to try and determine what might be wrong.
    BTW, make sure they're testing it with a Mac, not with a Windows system. If they test only with Windows, what they say is or is not working doesn't mean much.
    Regards.

  • "Java Class not found in classpath" Error in DESIGNER

    Hello All,
    I'm trying to connect in Designer using a JDBC connection to MS SQL Server 2008.  As per the instructions, I updated my jdbc.sbo file with the path to the existing two JAR files.  However, I still get the following error when I try and connect in Designer:  "Java Class not found in classpath : C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\jdbc\Drivers\sqlsrv".  Of course, this error includes the drive path with the location to my JAR files.  Any help in resolving this nagging issue is very GREATLY appreciated.  Also, if anyone needs it I can post a copy of the jdbc.sbo file to this thread.
    Thank you,
    Pankaj

    Stratos,
    Your suggestion didn't help.  I tried to connect after restarting my machine and I still get the error.  And, I've also tried adding a connection to MS SQL Server 2005 using this JDBC driver, and that didn't help either.  Any other suggestions?  Would it help to see my "jdbc.sbo" file?  Thanks again for your and everyone else's help, and I look forward to your reply.
    Regards,
    Pankaj
