Java Config for parameter disp/ms_keepalive_timeout

hi All,
understand that in abap server we can configure the idle time at this parameter disp/ms_keepalive_timeout to make sure that the user not automatic logoff from server when they idle, now i having a sap as java system which the user are accesing the sap via web base, so my question is how can i extend the idle time for as java system in sap?

Hi ,
Can you pls clear which type of sap functionality you are using with AS JAVA for e.g EP , EP CORE ,ESS , MSS , PSS. CRM .. etc.
Which type of component you have installed with AS JAVA , depend upon this we can get to some solution.
For E.g if you are using functionality of EP with AS JAVA, then follow below step.
1. Goto Portal Catalogue -> Content Provided by SAP -> End User Content
-> Standard Portal users
2. Right click on 'Default Framework Page' open --> object
3. Select 'Desktop InnerPage' and edit it(drag the horizontal scroll to
right side )
4.select show all in the category drop down and go down in the property
page where you can see Page Timeout Set the value for "Page Timeout"
and click on save in the top
To the page timeout property add the following property to the property
file (portalapp.xml):
com.sap.portal.page.PageTimeout=108000
The value is defined in milliseconds. The default value is
15 seconds = 15000 milliseconds. A page timeout value of -1 defines,
that there is no time out and that the page will wait for all of the
portal applications to finish loading as long as necessary.
If you want a specific timout then you have to customize the program on java.

    Guo,
    I see a question mark in the sql statement, instead of the Oracle-style bind parameter notation which would be ":1". Can you change your VO to use Oracle-Style bind params and see whether it works?

  • How to use the same services-config for the local and remote servers.

    My flex project works fine using the below but when I upload my flash file to the server I doesn't work, all the relative paths and files are the same execpt the remote one is a linux server.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

    You are confusing "served from a web-server" with "compiled on a web-server". Served from a web-server means you are downloading a file from the web-server, it does not necessarily mean that the files has been generated / compiled on the server.
    The server.name and server.port tokens are replaced at runtime (ie. on the client when the swf has been downloaded and is running) not compile time (ie. while mxmlc / ant / wet-tier compiler is running). You do not need to compile on the server to take advantage of this.
    Hi Paul,
    In Flex, there is feature that lets developer to put all service-config.xml file configuration information into swf file. with
    -services=path/to/services-config.xml
    IF
    services-config.xml
    have tokens in it and user have not specified additional
    -context-root
    and this swf file is not served from web-app-server (like tomcat for example) than it will not work,
    Flash player have no possible way to replace token values of service-config.xml file durring runtime if that service-config.xml file have been baked into swf file during compilation,
    for example during development you can launch your swf file from your browser with file// protocol and still be able to access blazeDS services if
    -services=path/to/services-config.xml
    have been specified durring compilation.
    I dont know any better way to exmplain this, but in summary there is two places that you can tell swf  about service confogiration,
    1) pass -services=path/to/services-config.xml  parameter to compiler this way you tell swf file up front about all that good stuff,
    or 2) you put that file on the webserver( in this case, yes you should have replacement tokens in that file) and they will be repaced at runtime .

  • How can you upgrade appserver that is used by Java AVK for Enterprise

    Here is a question that I some times get from users:
    Question: I wanted to check what was involved in replacing the Appserver that is bundled with AVK1.4.1? I looked at the contents of the AVK bundle and noticed that it has an appserver directory. So, can a person just replace that directory with a later version like AS 8.1 UR2.
    Ans:
    No, one just can not delete the original appserver directory, install a new AS there and expect AVK to work. The previously installed AS (AVK installation bundle comes with 8.1 PE) had an instrumented instance (an instrumented instance has server classpath prefix and an additional JVM property which is not available in a normal instance). When one replaces that with a new installation, one has to again instrument the new instance. One can do an in place upgrade from 8.1 to 8.1 UR2. AFAIK in place upgrade is not recommended in production environment because it has some other side effects. But in development environment one can do inplace upgrade. That automatically keeps the settings that were used by previous AS in tact in the new AS. This means all the deployed apps are also available in the new AS.
    Question: Is there any other way to do upgrade the app server that is used by AVK?
    Ans:
    Another way to replace AS 8.1 by 8.1UR2 in AVK is (Don't do this if you have applications that are deployed, because the steps below would delete them, which means after you do this, you have to again deploy the applications, resources etc in the new AS):
    In the instructions below JAVKE_HOME points to installation root of JAVKE and it assumed that appserver is installed at $JAVKE_HOME/appserver. The instructions remain same for Windows except that '/' needs to be replaced by '\' and $ by a pair of '%' and rm to be replaced by del command.
    1) $JAVKE_HOME/appserver/bin/asadmin stop-domain domain1
    2) Uninstall $JAVKE_HOME/appserver. A simple rm -rf of this dir will also do. If you choose to uninstall, then please also do an rm -rf.
    3) Install 8.1UR2 PE at $JAVKE_HOME/appserver
    You can upgrade to any higher version AS provided it is of the family 8.1 PE. This means you can upgrade to 8.1 UR1/2/3 etc. Visit http://java.sun.com/j2ee/ to see latest release of Sun Java System Application Server.
    4) $JAVKE_HOME/appserver/bin/asadmin start-domain domain1
    5) Instrument the server by running the following commands
    $JAVKE_HOME/appserver/bin/asadmin set user admin password <password> host localhost port <typically port is 4848> server.java-config.classpath_prefix=$JAVKE_HOME/lib/javke.jar
    $JAVKE_HOME/appserver/bin/asadmin create-jvm-options user admin password <password> host localhost port <typically port is 4848> -Dj2ee.appverification.home=$JAVKE_HOME
    You can do this using the admin gui to do the above actions.
    6) restart the appserver for these changes to effect.
    Now AVK can be used with the new appserver.
    Hope it helps,
    Thanks,
    Sahoo

    Josh, this was my first gripe when I moved to IronPort toward the end of 2008; I forget the version of Asyncos we were on then. Remember that the design philosophy (as I'm given to understand it) is that you shouldn't have to nursemaid it as much as some other gateways, though achieving that is more a question of developing robust mail policies than simply plugging in the device and running the setup wizard.
    I found the Asyncos GUI a bit of a pain to work with for header analysis, but I've adapted over time. It's only an annoyance now when you need to see an attachment file name that scrolls across three or four screen widths, and by comparison SharePoint gives me more grief in that department (we're on a paleolithic version here).
    For some things we send a copy of quarantined items out to a dedicated mailbox only accessible by staff monitoring our gateways; for more details see my posting in your thread "Can't View Video Files Attached To Emails".

  • Calling Web Service Proxy with Custom java Object as parameter

    I created a web service proxy from WSDL URL using JDeveloper 11g(.5 version)
    I need to call a webservice method which takes custom Java Object( Ex: ABC.java) as Input parameter. It creates the XSD java (ABC.java) file for that.
    @XmlElementRef(name = "abc", namespace = "http://impl.service.ns.test", type = JAXBElement.class)
    protected JAXBElement<ABC> abc;
    ABC.java has a property of type java.util.Set of a custom Java Object (Set<XYZ.class>)
    It doesn't create xsd file for XYZ.java.
    @XmlElementRef(name = "XYZ", namespace = "http://model.ns.test/xsd", type = JAXBElement.class)
    protected JAXBElement<Set> xyz;
    Please help me.

    The passing of Java objects in and out of a web service is NOT supported. variables must be xml documents defined by a XML schema. In my opinion, missing Java object and WSDL is not a good idea. -Edwin

  • Pop-ups for parameter value insertion don't appear

    Hi,
    I am using Web Intelligence for creating a report that allows custom parameter values to be inserted via pop-up.
    The problem is such pop-ups for parameter value insertion don't appear on the various web browsers I make use of.
    (I.E. versioni, Firefox versioni)
    Any idea on how to solve such issue?
    thanks in advance,
    SC

    I suppose that you mean query prompts, that are parameters that are asked to the user in order to filter the data.
    Which version of BOE are you using?. If you are using BOE XI R2, that problem happens when you use Java 1.6 (only when editing the document), you should use Java <=1.5 (you can check the error in the java console while you execute the report).
    I think that problem was solved in a SP (not sure which SP solves this ¿SP4?)

    I'm using EWS JAVA API for seeing the availability of contacts who had shared their calender with me. Here in the suggested timings, I can able to see only 10 suggested timings even though there can be more than 10 suggested slots.
    I would like to check is there any limit  on suggested times ?
    API is also giving quality of timing like "Good", "Excellent" on what basis this is decided ?

    You can specify the maximum number of suggestions per day using the MaximumResultsByDay parameter (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/aa565641(v=exchg.150).aspx).
    The quality is determined based on how many attendees are available and is influenced by the GoodThreshold:

  • Add file config for hole application?

    Hi everyone,
    Is there any one worked with build file config for hole fusion adf application? It is similar with web.config in .NET ASP web site. I think in jdeveloper, we can use web.xml for add some parameter but don't know how to read this parameter?
    Any help is appreciate!
    Thank.

    User, please tell us your jdeveloper version!
    In general you can read context or innit parameters from web.xml.
    You get to them via the servlet context
    String databaseHost =getServletContext().getInitParameter("database.host");
    And to get to the servlet context use
    FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); ServletContext servletContext = (ServletContext) ctx.getExternalContext().getContext();

  • Install Java SE for embedded

    Hello,
    I am trying to install Java SE for Embedded 7 ARM v6/7 Linux Headless on my Pogoplug ARM v6 running Linux Arch.
    For this I downloaded the .tar.gz file from Oracle's website ( version=7u4-armv6-eabi-k2.6.28-libc2.9-hflt-le), applied the tar command to decompress, moved the result to /opt/java, adapted the enironment variables by editing the /etc/profile file as follows:
    PATH="/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/opt/java/bin"
    export PATH
    export JAVA_HOME="/opt/java"
    export PATH="opt/java/bin:$PATH"
    when running an application that needs JAVA, I get:
    17015 Illegal instruction     java -Declipse.ignoreApp=true -Dosgi.noShutdown=true -Djetty.port=8080 -Djetty.port.ssl=8443 -Djetty.home=. -Dlogback.configurationFile=logs/logback.xml -Dfelix.fileinstall.dir=addons -Djava.library.path=lib -Djava.security.auth.login.config=./etc/login.conf -Dorg.quartz.properties=./etc/quartz.properties -jar $cp $* -console
    I assume Java is not installed correctly (it is the first time I install manually)?

    I see the same error for my ARM9 from Atmel. I think it's because my ARM9 AT91SAM9263 processor is ARMv5TEJ and ejre1.6.0 require ARMv6 or above. Don't mix up ARM9 and ARMv6. It's different thing.

  • Weblogic 6.0 (SP2) generates incorrect java code for JSP with response.sendRedirect()

              Hi,
              Here are the steps to reproduce the problem with the examplesWebApp application
              bundled with wlserver6.0(sp2):
              Product: Weblogic server 6.0 (sp2)
              Browser: IE 5.0
              1. Add index.jsp as the welcome file in WEB-INF/web.xml
              2. Create index.jsp as below:
              <%
              response.sendRedirect("index.html");
              return;
              %>
              <html>
              <head>
              <title>Index JSP file</title>
              </head>
              <body>
              <font color="red">This is index.jsp file </font>
              </body>
              </html>
              3. Create index.html as below:
              <html>
              <head>
              <title>Index HTML file</title>
              </head>
              <body>
              <font color="red">This is index.html file </font>
              </body>
              </html>
              4. Run the examples server and make sure examplesWebApp is deployed on the examples
              server using the console
              5. Access the URL http://localhost:7001/examplesWebApp
              The page will display a compilation error as below:
              C:\bea\wlserver6.0\config\examples\applications\examplesWebApp\WEB-INF\_tmp_war_examplesServer_examplesServer_examplesWebApp\jsp_servlet\_index.java:89:
              unreachable statement
              out.print("\r\n<html>\r\n<head>\r\n<title>Simple html</title>\r\n</head>\r\n<body>\r\n<font
              color=\"red\">This is index.jsp page</font>\r\n</body>\r\n</html>\r\n");
              ^
              and a look at the generated java code for index.jsp (_index.java) will reveal
              the erroneous code snippet below in the jsp service method:
              try { // error page try block
              //[ /index.jsp; Line: 1]
              response.sendRedirect("index.html"); //[ /index.jsp; Line: 2]
              return; //[ /index.jsp; Line: 3]
              out.print("\r\n<html>\r\n<head>\r\n<title>Simple html</title>\r\n</head>\r\n<body>\r\n<font
              color=\"red\">This is index.jsp page</font>\r\n</body>\r\n</html>\r\n");
              } catch (Exception __ee) {
              while (out != null && out != _originalOut) out = pageContext.popBody();
              pageContext.handlePageException(__ee);
              The above web application works fine in Tomcat 3.2.X environment. The Weblogic
              server 6.0 servlet engine should not generate the "out.println()" corresponding
              to the html section of index.jsp. The moment it sees the "return", it should stop
              processing further.
              Can someone from Weblogic support team please verify this and let me know when
              this bug will be fixed?
              One interesting thing I noticed was when we last tried weblogic 6.0 at its beta
              stage, it worked fine after we put in a special patch jar file called "redirectfix.jar"
              we received from weblogic team but somehow it got re-introduced by the time it
              was released!!
              We are planning to migrate our product from tomcat 3.2.x to weblogic 6.0. Our
              product has a lot of pages with such conditional {response.sendRdirect("page.jsp");return;}
              blocks. We would really appreciate a faster response form weblogic team.
              Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    As far as we could see, you're facing an authorization issue. To solve
    that...
    Can you check that the user executing the task (SOLMAN, i suppose) is
    assigned the authorization - you can run an authorization trace using
    transaction ST01 (check only the authorization box) and reproduce the
    issue. The resulting trace should show which authorization failed. Once
    this is established the necessary authority can be assigned to the user.
    Thanks,
    Regards
    Vikram
