Error when running report using SDK
Hi, I am getting following error when I am running a report in boxi r2 sp3 on IIS. Infoview and CMC runs fine but SDK application is not able to connect to CMS. This error does not come all the time. It happens intermittently.
Error in RetrieveReport: Unable to connect to cluster @hisuatcluster to retrieve updated CMS member list. Logon cannot continue.
Anyone has seen this and any way to pin point the cause. We have used -ns and -port switch in the command line of CMS and all servers.
Thanks,will try that. But we would not be leveraging cluster benefit then. What happens if that particilar CMS in cluster goes down.
Below is the logic of SDK.
1. Create an EnterpriseSession by calling SessionMgr.Login(the credentials we use to connect on in the web.config file).
2. Get a reference to the InfoStore with EnterpriseSession.GetService(u201CInfoStoreu201D)
3. Get a reference to the report as an InfoObject by querying the InfoStore u2013 InfoStore.Query(u201CSELECT * FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE u2026u201D)
4. Get a reference to the RASReportFactory u2013 EnterpriseSession.GetService(u201Cu201D, u201CRASReportFactoryu201D)
5. Open the report using the InfoObject (line 3) and RASReportFactory (line 4) u2013 ReportClientDoc = ReportAppFactory.OpenDocument(InfoObject.ID, 0)
6. Manipulate the reportu2019s connection information.
7. Set the vieweru2019s report source with the report (this is commented out in the current tests) u2013 CrystalReportViewer.ReportSource = ReportClientDocument
8. Close the session u2013 EnterpriseSession.Logoff() -
Java error when running in Translate Utilty with .trc files
Hello everybody,
I have Developer Suite 10g with WebUtil 1.6.
I have launched a form with trace option and Forms created a file forms_3528.trc in my trace folder.
In order to visualize I tried to convert the .trc file into a .xml or .html file using the Translate Utility.
My Oracle Developer Home is D:\DevSuiteHome_1
Here there are the steps I followed in dos command window:
D:\>SET CLASSPATH=D:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\frmxlate.jar; D:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\frmall.jar;D:\DevSuiteHome_1
D:\> CD DevSuiteHome_1\forms\trace
D:\>java oracle.forms.diagnostics.Xlate datafile=forms_3528.trc outputfile=myfile.xml outputclass=WriteOut
Here it is the result I got:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException
at java.io.FileInputStream.readBytes(Native Method)
at java.io.FileInputStream.read(FileInputStream.java:194)
at java.io.DataInputStream.read(DataInputStream.java:224)
at oracle.forms.diagnostics.ReadDataFile.readStrAttribute(Unknown Source)
at oracle.forms.diagnostics.ReadDataFile.preRead(Unknown Source)
at oracle.forms.diagnostics.ReadDataFile.preReadEvent(Unknown Source)
at oracle.forms.diagnostics.Xlate.process(Unknown Source)
at oracle.forms.diagnostics.Xlate.main(Unknown Source)
What does this mean? I'm not at all familiar with java...
Please let me know if you consider I should post this question on a Java forum not a Forms one.
Thank you
danielaFYI Update: It appears that the Xlate utility is choking on events 3 (Error messages on the status bar) and/or 1 (Error during open form) that now occur in our custom login form since applying patch 3. Examining the xlate output in debug mode, after processing these events, the next EventID shows a value >20,000--clearly either the file data is corrupted or the input data stream becomes misaligned at that point.
Therefore it is an issue between the trace and the xlate class, NOT patch 3 per se.
The error itself has no effect to the user and we can work around the trace translation issue by simply excluding these events. -

Java error when running Forms -Translate Utilty
Hello everybody,
I have some forms developed with Developer Suite 10g and WebUtil 1.6 that I ran with trace option. Enabling trace option in forms implies the creation of binary files with the name forms_processId in the forms trace server (example: forms_3528.trc). In order to visualize this binary file I have to convert them to .xml or .html file using the Translate Utility (a forms utility based on java).
My Oracle Developer Home is D:\DevSuiteHome_1. The .trc files are located in folder D:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\trace.
Here there are the steps I followed in dos command window:
D:\>SET CLASSPATH=D:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\frmxlate.jar; D:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\frmall.jar;D:\DevSuiteHome_1
D:\> CD DevSuiteHome_1\forms\trace
D:\>java oracle.forms.diagnostics.Xlate datafile=forms_3528.trc outputfile=myfile.xml outputclass=WriteOut
Obs: Param datafile shows the file I want to translate, parameter outputfile is the name of the translated file (.xml or .html). Parameter outputclass shows the type of file into which I want to translate my .trc file (WriteOut for a .xml file, WriteOutHTML for a .html file).
Here it is the result I got:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException
at java.io.FileInputStream.readBytes(Native Method)
at java.io.FileInputStream.read(FileInputStream.java:194)
at java.io.DataInputStream.read(DataInputStream.java:224)

at oracle.forms.diagnostics.ReadDataFile.preReadEvent(Unknown Source)
at oracle.forms.diagnostics.Xlate.process(Unknown Source)
at oracle.forms.diagnostics.Xlate.main(Unknown Source)
I'm not at all familiar with java...What does this exception mean? What did I do wrong?
Any help will be appreciated.
thank you

They each seem to point to some degree or another to using Versioning, but I've gotten those errors whether the "Use Delta Versioning..." checkbox is checked or unchecked. I do have the standard versioning settings set in the IMG, the standard delivered settings. And it's referencing the same file, _groupManProps.txt, that doesn't exist in any of the packages I've tried to publish/check-in. I've tried both AICC and SCORM content and I get the same errors.
We have an ECC6 system on EHP5, and using Authoring Environment version LSOAE09_0-10006103.
I'm running the Authoring Environment on a 64-bit Windows 7 PC.
I've tried to publish/check-in with the following versions of the Java SDK:
1.4.2 Update 13
1.4.2 Update 19 (the latest in 1.4.2 with a Windows installer available)
6 Update 14 (a colleague is using this version successfully with the AE)
6 Update 23
Each of those were the 32-bit versions after trying a 64-bit version of one (based on my PC's OS) and getting an unrelated 64-bit error.
I would appreciate any experience or wisdom any other users here have to share.
Thanks!
Jason
Edited by: jtrain on Nov 22, 2011 9:29 AMIt was an adjustment we made on our ISA 2006 server. Under
1. Open Array - Configurarion - General
2. Select Additional Security Policy - Configure Flood Mitigation
3. On the Flood Mitigations Tab, there are a number of flood mitigation settings that can be configured.
The setting we had to adjust is under the "Maximum HTTP requests per minute per IP address (Click on Edit)
Increase the "Limit:" setting. We set it to 1500 which resolved our problem.
4. Apply the policy and wait for the configuration to be updated on all array members ( may take several minutes)

SQL Developer 3.2 crashes with java error when using OCI/Thick Driver
I just installed SQL Developer 3.2 on my linux desktop. SQL Developer crashes with a java error when I select a database from the object tree.
When I check Use OCI/Thick driver the application will crash when I navigate to the tree and open a database.
The app does not crash then I have Use OCI/Thick driver unchecked.
Here are some details of my environment:

My configuration is:
- Windows 64-bit
- Java 64-bit (1.6.0.34)
- SQL Developer 3.2.09 64-bit
- OCI Instant client 11.2.0.3 64-bit (without installation).
The thing that solved the problem was copying two files, ojdbc5.jar and ojdbc6.jar, from Instant client installation folder to JAVA_HOME/lib/ext folder+.
After that, I haven't had a single crash or error message.
The same trick that solved the problem on 64-bit installation also solved the problem on another windows computer with 32-bit SQL Developer installation. -

Hi Team,
We are facing the following error when running the nightly ant build script on Mac machine for our air mobile application. We are using iOS native extensions and package with ADT. This works fine when we run the build as local user in the Mac machine. Earlier we faced some issues due to headless build and we have added the <headless-server>true</headless-server> in corresponding config files (flex-config.xml, airmobile-config.xml). After that we are facing the following error, even when we run the ant build in headless mode using the following command.
ant -Djava.awt.headless=true -f build.xml buildPackage
When running this build as local user in the Mac build machine, we see a window opening with com.adobe.air.ADT while packaging. This is the issue when running nightly build as there is no graphics window.
Can anybody please help how to get rid of this issue for nightly build using adt,jar?
Here is the error from build log:

The configure file was edited and the values $DX, $AAPT and $AIDL were all set to the adt-bundle-linux/sdk/build-tools/android-4.4 path.
The instructions given on the Mozilla Wiki did not work right for Android and several modifications were made to move it along. But this permission error is tough to figure out. -
Undefined weblogic.home error when running APPC
Hi,
I am trying to run the APPC compiler on my local EAR and deploy it on a remote
server version
8.1 using ANT. I just have the weblogic.jar, ojdbc14.jar and webservices.jar on
my workstation.
I have an error when running APPC.
The ANT taks is :
<target name="app.appc">
<java classname="weblogic.appc" fork="true" failonerror="true">
<jvmarg value="-Xms256m"/>
<jvmarg value="-Xmx256m"/>
<classpath>
<pathelement location="${j2ee.weblogic.lib.dir}/${j2ee.weblogic.lib.name}"/>
<pathelement location="${j2ee.weblogic.lib.dir}/ojdbc14.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${jsdk1.4-dir}/lib/tools.jar"/>
</classpath>
<arg line ="-verbose -verboseJavac ${application.dist.ear}"/>
</java>
</target>
The ANT output is :
app.appc:
[java] [appc] Created working directory: C:\DOCUME~1\pim\LOCALS~1\Temp\appcgen
[java] [appc] Compiling EAR module 'core.war'

Is there any other solution than installing weblogic on my workstation so that
everything is

thanks in advance

Finally it worked out for me with the system classpath set to:
D:\J2EE\bea\weblogic81\server\lib\weblogic.jar
and the ANT task wlappc.
I was unable to have it work with the ANT task described below in this thread.
tha ant task is
<wlappc source="${application.dist.ear}"
verbose="true"
verboseJavac="true"
debug="true"
classpath="${j2ee.weblogic.lib.dir}/${j2ee.weblogic.lib.name}
${j2ee.weblogic.lib.dir}/ojdbc14.jar
${j2ee.weblogic.lib.dir}/webservices.jar
${jsdk1.4-dir}/lib/tools.jar"This is the issue. The classpath parameter to wlappc is the classpath
it will use when it compiles your application classes. It's not the
classpath which will load the wlappc ant task. (I'll admit this has
always been confusing.)

runtimeflags="mx256m"
output="${application.weblogic.deploy.ear}"
/>
So now I have another problem but let me open another thread
thanks

That code checks if the system property weblogic.home is set. If not,
it looks for the class weblogic.Home is in the classpath. Make sure
one
of those 2 conditions is true.

Have you compiled the taglib using the correct version of servlet.jar ? -
Java error when trying to edit file - access denied
We have been running Vibe 3.0 for a couple years with no issues but suddenly users have begun to get java errors when trying to edit a file from Vibe. When a file entry is opened and the "Edit this file" link is clicked, a dialog pops up that says :
Error from command:
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission <<ALL FILES>> execute)
Has anyone else seen this? Could it be related to some windows security update perhaps? Any ideas how to resolve would be appreciated. This happens with regular users as well as admin.
Vibe is running on SLES 10 with mysql. We are using IIS Windows Authentication.

Using xMII 11.5 SP3, one of our other xMII developers is getting the following Java error when launching the BLS editor:
Unable to load resource: http://xmiid.oxy.com/Lighthammer/CMSLogicEditor/activation.jar
His computer was reimaged a couple of days ago with our standard image (Windows XP SP2, IE6 SP2). It worked fine on his computer prior to the re-image. He's reloaded Sun Java 1.4.2_01 on his computer (our company default is 1.4.1_01.)
I can't duplicate the error on any of our test computers - one of which was also recently re-imaged.
Any ideas?
DavidDavid,
So other standard imaged machines are running 1.4.2_01 and have no issues? I would expect to see problems with the webstart cookie handling for that version, but I'm running _15....
Try clearing the Java WS cache on the problematic client instance to watch it try to download all the libraries fresh.
File...Preferences, reconfirm that the None radio button is selected on the General tab, and then on the Advanced tab, press the Clear Folder button.
You could also make sure before hitting the editor link in the Menu.jsp that there are no dead or leftover javaws processes running in the task manager.
Regards,
Jeremy
