Java.exe command line
Although it is an elementary question, isn't there any document the command line option list of java.exe was indicated to be? I am investigating the meaning of -p option.

Thank you in advance, ACJHi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
The switch /control indicates that you can take the control of the session which you have taken. Generally when we take remote desktop session we will already get the control of that session but in some case where some administrator will not give full access
or control of remote session to the user. At that if they know this option they can use to control that remote session.
Use command line parameters with Remote Desktop Connection

Hope it helps!
Thanks.

firefox always start it self when windows start (firefos.exe around 5 - 6mb ram) with process explorer i got this
[Path >> C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe]
[Command line >> "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -requestPending -osint -url "%1"]
is this a bug or a virus?? Thank you..
== windows startCertain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
#*'''Windows:'''
#**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
#**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you! -
I want to launch multiple scripts written in Java from command line
Hi,
I have created a Master script file (script.java) which call functions available in other class files. (created through Java code).
Now, let's say I have 10 functions(scripts) on master script file but I want random selection for executing these functions. Do we have any interface for selection from available scripts?
Edited by: 917140 on Apr 10, 2012 8:11 AM"Everything I know about the command is in the man page. I can't give you a literal command, because I don't know what to put in for the arguments. To be honest, if the man page is not understandable enough for you to build the command, I don't think you should use it at all. Use Profile Manager in OS X Server, which is the right way to do what you're trying to do."
I do not know why this post did not show up here on the thread, I did get the email. Not sure how to respond. We have 800 stations. Can not go and touch each one, so looking for a command line to remove the ssid "campus" - If I read your message correct, you do not know the command line either for this. Thank you. -
OSDOfflineBitlocker.exe command line arguments ?
Hi there,
I'm searching a referencial with the command line argument of the SCCM tools OSDOfflineBitlocker.exe (Pre-provision Bitlocker task in SCCM 2012).
My purpose is to set the TPM Owner password manually, I don't know if it's possible but I know that the task OSDBitlocker.exe (Enable Bitlocker) can receive arguments like "/enable /wait:False /mode:TPM /pwd:None".
ThanksPls refer
http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6451-how-can-i-pre-provision-bitlocker-in-winpe-for-windows-8-deployments-using-configuration-manager-2012-sp1/
Thanks, Prabha G
Thanks for the link but I use Bitlocker with MBAM and this method don't save the TPM Owner password in the database and it's not possible to fix it. -
Omitting "java" from command line
How can I set up a java program so that I don't have to specify "java" at the command line. So, for example, instead of:
% java App
... I would like to type only
% App
Is there a way that's java based? What I would rather not have is some alias solution.
Thanks.No problem - I posted the warning so that the discussion would stay in one place and we would stay sane (and calm: it's very annoying to put time into answering a post only to find the actual discussion is taking place somewhere else entirely...)

Vmrc.exe command line password option?
Does VMRC 7.0 have an option to enter the password from command line? I can only find a way to enter the username. The password is prompted during connection. I would like to find a way to script this command .
If this is a requirement what is wrong with using Ant? You can generate the Build.xml from the project by using New > Ant > BuildFile from Project so you don't have the pain of maintaining the basic script. Likewise you can use Ant as your build-system in the product as well if you only want to use one method. I find useful for making and testing all in one go.
Anyway in answer to your question no - to see the command line options to the IDE type jdev -help from the command prompt. -
Java from command line, in winnt
c:>java Test
the Test.class being in c: direcctory directly
gives
ClassNotFoundExceptionWithout the -cp option, java tries to find classes by searching the directories and jars in the Classpath environmental variable of your system. By setting the Classpath variable, you can tell java where your class files are located. You apparently have Windows, and the way to set Classpath depends on which version. You use the autoexec.bat file in Windows 98. You use the System settings from the Control Panel in Windows NT and XP. I'm not sure about others, but you can search the forum. When you set your Classpath, include . (the current directory).

How to add Args in java.exe from JNI
Hi, there:
Anyone knows how to put the arguments at the java.exe command line,
involked from C++ code through JNI?This is additional information to my original forum topic.
Here, I would like to have the involked java code to get
the data file and its location as an argument of java.exe.
So, not only does the java app start, but it starts with
initial input data.
Java involcation is done from VC++ using JNI 2 and jDK1.3.1.
Thanks. -
Why might the javac.exe, java.exe, and javaw.exe command lines not stay open? When I open these files, the command line flashes open and immediately disappears.
I tried opening these files using "Run as..." and unchecking the "Protect my computer from unauthorized program activity" option (as my first guess was and still is that I am running into some kind of Windows security settings problem), but this seemed to have no effect.
I am using Windows XP Professional with all updates as of 06-21-2007.You always want to run executables like that and things like .bat files from a command window. To open a command window, follow jverd's post, reply #2.

SCCM 2012 - Problems running vbscript or simple command line
Hey everybody, I'm having a heck of a time trying to get SCCM 2012 to deploy some very simple Vbscripts or even a simple command line. I need to deploy some registry fixes across the company as well as a Vbscript that uninstalls some old applications.
If I run these scripts/commands outside of SCCM everything works fine, inside of SCCM it always shows "succeeded" but it doesn't actually run correct on the client.
What's confusing to me is the use of distribution points when you're running a command line that doesn't actually have any source files. For instance this is what I'm trying to run "regedit /s \\servername\folder\registryfix.reg". I've also tried
a similar bat file as well with the same result. I've tried it with a source folder specified, I've tried it using Run Program From Server or Download locally. I've gone through everything I can think of but can't get it to work.
Similarly with a vbscript I'm trying "cscript.exe /s \\servername\folder\uninstallapps.wsf" and various different settings in the package deployment.
I'm really confused here guys so any help would be greatly appreciated. ThanksWhat I have found is that if you try and run the REG.EXE command line directly, either as a program or via a CMD/BAT file, the 64-bit redirection will occur. So, if you had something like this in a program or via a CMD/BAT file that ran against a 64-bit
system:
REG ADD HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Test /v Test /d Test
You would end up with this registry entry existing under:
HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Test
That's because SCCM uses the 32-bit launcher to take care of this and redirection occurs - You can see this via the "CCM32BitLauncher.log" on the client.
To work around this problem, I have done the following:
On a reference machine, create/export the registry entry I want into a *.reg file - An example export of "Test.reg" for the above mentioned registry entry would look something like this:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Test]
"Test"="Test"
2. Stick our "Test.reg" file in a source share, create a package with the share as the source content, and distribute it
3. Create a program for the package with a command line like this:
REG IMPORT Test.reg
This is obviously not as clean as having a command line with a package to distribute, but I find it works fine for me and gets around the redirection for registry entries. -
Problem with tokenized input from command line
I am trying to take an input from the command line, parse it to tokens and perform whatever operation is needed depending on the name of the token, on a binary tree of stacks for example, if i type 1 2 1 3 printLevelOrder, then the root of the tree should have 3, 2,1 in the stack, the left child should have 1 and the right child should be empty. and then a level order print of the tree should be performed.
however what is happening when i run this code is the numbers are being put into the right stacks of the tree, but any commands such as printLevelOrder or PrintPopRoot are entering the code that is for placing numbers onto the stack instead of executing that command and skipping past this piece of code.
so my question is, why is the if statement if (word =="printLevelOrder") not being executed when thats whats in the word ?
example input and output shown below code fragment.
try {
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
String line = "";
while (line != "***") {
System.out.print("> prompt ");
line = in.readLine();

String word = new String();

Execute script from AfterFX command line
Hello all
I'm trying to run a script from the AfterFX.exe command line and I get a message: "Unable to execute script at line 1. Syntax error"
If I run the same script file from the AE Script Editor, it works perfectly
Here is the command line I'm using:
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS6\Support Files\AfterFX.exe" -noui -s "D:\Product\Watermark\Rendering\WatermarkedSecuritySample.jsx"
Anyone have an idea of what can cause this error? I've tried running the script directly in the command line like
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS6\Support Files\AfterFX.exe" -noui -s "alert('1')"
and it works fine for short script but mine is way to big to do that
As you can probably guess with the "Watermark" and "Security" in the filename, I cannot post the script file here, all I can say is that the line 1 is:
var projectName = "D:\\Product\\WatermarkTemplate.aep";
I've tried to replace the entire script with "alert('1');" and it cause the same error when running it from the command line
Also, if anyone know where I can find the AfterFX.exe command line arguments description, I would be very happy.. everybody talks about aerender.exe but I need thoses options for AfterFX.exe
Thanks for your helpHave you tried to use "-r" instead of "-s"?
(argument for "-s" is a script; and argument for "-r" is a path to script) -
Merge Repositories via Command Line
Hi all,
I found the command parameter to start the admintool.exe quite interesting. It was featured on a couple of blogs like:
- http://rnm1978.wordpress.com/2009/09/09/syntax-for-admintool-exe-command-line-script/
- http://siebel-essentials.blogspot.de/2008/11/automating-rpd-metadata-export-with.html
- http://obieeblog.wordpress.com/2009/08/04/simplifying-migration-process-%E2%80%93-changing-environment-specific-variables-in-rpd/
- http://www.rittmanmead.com/2011/05/oracle-bi-ee-11-1-1-5-repository-command-line-switches-importing-new-projects-into-rpd/
Now I want to start a merge process from command line with:
D:\merge_with_script>D:\Oracle\OBIEE11g-11-1-1-6\oraclebi\orahome\bifoundation\server\bin\admintool.exe /command merge_command.txt
My command file looks like:
' Open FileName [user [password]]
Open current.rpd weblogic weblogic1
' Merge FileName1 FileName2 [DecisionFile] [user1 [password1 [user2 [password2]]]]
Merge original.rpd modified.rpd decision.txt weblogic weblogic1 weblogic weblogic1
Admintool now does the merge. That's good. But(!) it would be better if it would stop in conflict mode, so I could make my decisions. Would be way better then having an empty decision.txt, which leads to: current.rpd first.
Any ideas?dump
Someone who found out how it's working?
