Java.exe exception error

downloading property management software which requires oracle 8.0.5 software to run also. When i go to set-up service through Oracle Net-8 Easy Config it comes back with a Java.exe error and will not let me continue

I get the I/O exception while reading: D:\Java\HelloApplet (The system cannot find the file specified). I have previously compiled HelloApplet.java into HelloApplet.class using javac.exe
the two include statements in the sample HelloApplet I'm using are
import java.applet.*;
import java.awt.*;
I also have a ComponentEventTest.java file which I've made into a class with these two
include statements:
import java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;
I can however compile .java files which have no include statements.
I take it that my classpath is not set correctly. Like I said earlier, I'm using winxp
and trying to set the classpath variable under system. I have tried under user too. The path names I've tried setting are C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\, C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib, C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\include, and C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\include.
How can I correct this? If it's possible, I would like to set a variable in windows
versus having to type extra commands at the command prompt everytime I try
to run a java class with java.exe. Any help would be much appreciated

  • JFileChooser causes "java.exe - Application Error"

    Hi,
    When I'm closing an JFileChooser dialog (by e.g. pressing ok or cancel) a second or so later my JVM terminates with the error message "java.exe - Application Error. The instruction at "0*6d0ea46e" referenced a memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to treminate the program".
    I turned on verbose output from the JVM and the last printout was:
    [Loaded javax.swing.Autoscroller from C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\jre\lib\rt.jar]
    [Dynamic-linking native method sun.awt.windows.WComponentPeer.removeNativeDropTarget ... JNI]

    [Dynamic-linking native method sun.awt.windows.WToolkit.shutdown ... JNI]
    No exception is shown.
    I have uninstall all old JVMs and reinstalled JDK 5.0. This does not help.
    This simple program causes the termination of the JVM:
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    System.out.println("0");
    JFileChooser fileChooser = new JFileChooser();
    System.out.println("1");
    int result = -2;

    } catch (HeadlessException e1) {

    System.out.println("result " + result);
    try {
    Thread.sleep(5000);
    } catch (InterruptedException e) {
    // TODO Auto-generated catch block
    e.printStackTrace();
    System.out.println("2");
    I receive the printout "result" but not "2".
    I appriciate any help!

    No, this is very bad. Any time you see a message like this mentioning a memory address, it means that java, not you, has crashed. There's no way for you to fix this. The only thing you can try is to work around it.
    My suggestions:
    1. Report it to Sun. Make sure you include your system info (processor, memory, computer manufacturer) and what version of java you're using
    2. Try downloading and installing a different version of java

  • Java.lang.Exception:Error in NavigationGroupViewer.createListModel:No NavID

    hello portal experts,
    we made a homogen copy of our productive system to our test system. i think this caused a trouble in our test portal and i get the error java.lang.Exception:Error in NavigationGroupViewer.createListModel:No NavID!. can anybody tell me where the settings are made for the team viewer and how i can fix this problem.
    early replies appreciated..
    thanks,
    Murat Kaya

    Hi Murat,
    there can be a number of things that can give you that particular error message:
    1. Is the teamviewer/explorer configured correctly in the backend? Are all the navigation paths correct?
    2. Has the teamviewver iview been configured with the correct navigation path?
    3. Do your users have the right profiles and security settings in the backend?
    4. Is the communication between the portal and the backend working properly, ie sso, jco?
    Best place to start is to look at the error description in the log in Visual Admin. That might give you an indication of where to start looking.
    Cheers,
    Dion

    logo =
    Image.createImage("c:\\logo.png");on Windows?Would both OleW and hellbinder please desist from giving advice in the future until you know what you are talking about.
    The java classes which deal with paths work just fine with forward slashes, translating them into the OS's format automatically when they actually get around to talking to the OS. This is part of platform independence. Your 'advice' is headed in the wrong direction, making the code platform DEpendent.

  • Java.lang.Exception error during XML validation by Integration Engine

    Hi professionals,
    We are trying to use XML validation by the Integration Engine.
    Step 1:
    We created an appropriate directory structure where we had to store the structure (xsd).
    \usr\sap\<system id>\SYS\global\xi\runtime_server\A\B\C\D\E\F
    A - validation
    B - schema
    C - GUID of the SWCV where service interface reside.
    D - Repository Namespace where Service Interface is created.
    E - Service Interface Name
    F - Repository Namespace where Message Type or External Definition is
    assigned.
    Step 2:
    We also changed the references in the xsd to exclude all the subdirectory references.
    e.g folder1/folder2/abc.xsd is become abc.xsd only
    Step 3:
    We stored both xsdu2019s (schema xsd and referenced xsd to the directory created in step 1)
    Step 4:
    We changed the directory and xsdu2019s permissions to 777 (we chose 777 for testing purpose).
    Step 5:
    We changed the property schema validation of the sender agreement to Validation by Integration Engine.

  • A205-5814 DMI.exe exception error

    Anyone out there:
    I have the above laptop, and I'm trying to format the HDD using the supplied toshiba recovery discs, and keep getting the following error message:
    The instruction at 0x773a2591 referenced memory at 0x00004237
    The memory could not be read
    Click on OK to terminate the program
    --> and shuts itself off
    Error: 03-EEEE-0000
    DMI.exe application error
    My laptop is out of warranty, and at an authorized dealer, it'd cost $150 to fix the problem, which is not even mine to begin with!
    I installed the BIOS update v2.50.  When used the patch to boot the disc, it says:
    "Failed to read platform ID"
    Now I am stuck.  The computer is very slow, and I don't know what to do.  Help!!!

    Several issues can be occurring:  Recovery disc may have scratches,nics and not able to read properly.  Odd, you state when you put disc in 'format' problem? Disc is designed to be relatively hands free install, except for a few selections.
    Could be a HDD failure about to incur or memory not seated properly to be read, also ensure all external devises are out of unit during Recovery install.  For peace of mind and less frustration troubleshooting--allow the provider to fix the concern, thus if anything else is incurred THEY will have to fix.  Also, they can run a diagnostic, give to you displaying condition of hardware installed.

  • Import java classes Exception Error in Forms 10g

    Hi,
    I have created a jar file using JDeveloper and need to import it in my Forms 10g to be able to call web services. In my forms builder, after I click on Program - Import Classes and give the name of the stub I created, it gives me the following error :
    Exception occurred: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
    I am following the step by step instructions of OTN
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_as_10g/deploy/callws_fromforms/forms_webservice.htm
    In the above documentation, where it says "Call the Stub from a Forms Application", point no. 1, it tells to go to control panel - system - advanced - environment variables and edit CLASSPATH. The problem is that in my variable, I cannot see CLASSPATH, it has PATH. I had added my jar file in there. Is it because of this that I'm getting the error.
    After that I have added the jar file in default.env in CLASSPATH.
    I would appreciate your urgent help in this matter.
    Thanks in advance.

    Well you can create a new variable called CLASSPATH - however, if you are actually seeing the JAR file in the Java Importer then that would assume you are infact seeing the JAR file.
    DO you get this problem if you JAR up a simple "Hello world" - if could be that you are not importing all the classes needed . What Jdeveloper version are you using - if its 10.1.3.1 and JAXRPC web services you may need to add an additional JAR to the class.
    Luckily for you ...check out...

  • Java.exe application error - the memory could not be read

    Hi all,
    I have some problems. I have been getting this error:
    The instruction at "0x03491c33" referenced memory at "0x034c1f77". The memory could not be "read".
    This error occurs when the disconnect function() is called.
    My code is as follows:
    JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_JFrame_disconnect (JNIEnv * env, jobject obj) {
    ::CoInitialize(NULL);
    HINSTANCE getprocDLL = LoadLibrary(TEXT("test.dll"));
    if (getprocDLL != NULL){
    typedef void (_cdecl*pICFUNC)(void);
    pICFUNC disconnect;
    FARPROC getProcessID = (FARPROC)GetProcAddress(HMODULE(getprocDLL),"Disconnect");
    disconnect = pICFUNC (getProcessID);
    disconnect() <---- error occurs when this function is called
    FreeLibrary(getprocDLL);
    ::CoUninitialize();
    Any idea what could be the possible problem with the code?
    Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
    Edited by: dolphlam on Sep 4, 2008 12:41 AM

    1. Check what value getProcessID has.
    2. Verify that the signature of the method that you are casting it to is correct.
    3. Can you call disconnect without actually connecting to something?
    4. Move the code out of JNI entirely. Create a C/C++ executable and verify that the code works there first.

  • Why cant java.exe or javaw find the "main" function?

    I have compiled and run programs a few times without any problems. Then on my last project, the program complied fine, but when I tried to run it, I got the error with java.exe:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: myprogram
    When I ran it with javaw.exe, I got the error:
    Could not find the main class. Program will exit!
    I have looked over my code again and again to see if I made any mistakes that I am missing, but cannot find any. I have tried reinstalling everything (I am using Java 2 Standard Edition 1.4.1 02, if it makes a difference). And I even did a simple test program and got the same error. The program is:
    public class test
    static void main( String args[] )
    System.out.println("I found the main class");
    Does anyone have any suggestions as to the cause of this error and how to fix it?

    Does anyone have any suggestions as to the cause of
    this error and how to fix it?try renaming your source file to be Test.java
    modify content to be:public class Test {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
      System.out.println("it works fine now");
    }and then compile it with command javac Test.java and run whit command java Test
    BTW. you said you had error:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: myprogram
    that refers to problem that you're trying to execute program myprogram but your source sait its name was test.
