    What are the names (or a link to them) of Java files I should have installed? Thanx in advance.

    This doesn't make sense.  It's more complicated than that.
    OS X will offer to install Java if you need it, unless you've gone in and deleted stuff and made a mess of things.  Did you manually go deleting stuff?

  • How to link two .java files together?

    hello everybody,
    is it possible to link two or more .java files together? I mean is if I have 3 .java files. (a.java, b.java, c.java) then I have 3 .class files too. How do I use the method in other .java files. For example :
    public a extends Applet {
    // call b.class
    b();
    public b extends Applet implements ActionListener {
    void title1() {
    How to call the b.class? How to call the title1() method?
    Is it related to JAR or package??
    Thanks for helping me. v(^_^)v

    O.K, you do not link ".java" files together.
    You compile them into class files and they can create new instances of each other and and access their variables and work together.

    It will start you out with the basics.

  • Can not see the design view nor the java file in CentOS

    Hi all. I've recently installed JSC2 in CentOS. I find this tool really useful. But I have a problem with the design view and the java file view. At the beginning, when I first create a Page1.jsp, I can see the design view and the java view with no problem. I run apps correctly. But after a while, I get a "null pointer exception" error and I am able to see only the jsp view, not the others. I don't even have the option to see the Design and Java views. And the page icon in the project window appears to be darker than a well working page. I'm not really sure what sequence of actions I do to get this error, it just suddenly happens. What I've done so far in JSC2 is to link to pages in the Page Navigation view. It works fine for a while, but after a while I get the error I've described.

    Yes, if I do that It happens the same. I've tried everything. Now I'm using Window$ 2000 and it works properly. Thanks anyway.

  • How do I include a JAVA file in my website  using DreamweaverCC ?

    Hi.  I searched the forums and it seems that all questions relating to JAVA and Dreamweaver elicit zero replies.
    I hope that someone has some direction.  Thanks again.
    I have a JAVA file that I want to include or have run within one of my pages in my WebSite.
    file > new > create > and there is not an option for JAVA but there is one for PHP etc. etc.
    How do I incorporate a java script into my Web Site ?
    I thought that I could just copy the code into the file here - at least to begin with  - but JAVA  runs in the background.
    I am lost
    conceptually
    and I do not know how to go about this task
    structurally.
    Thanks again,

    JQuery is a core JavaScript library used by millions of web sites.  It's the "do more & write less code framework."  If you're into re-inventing the wheel every time you need an advanced feature (plugin), feel free to manually code it yourself with JavaScript.  However, you'll need to test & debug your scripts in every conceivable browser and OS before you can be sure it's viable for use on a production site.
    On the other hand, you could use a plugin and be up & running in 5 minutes or less. See the code below.

  • Using java files with JSP

    Ok, so im pretty new to this JSP lark and have a question.
    I have Java Classes resting in .java files, i need to know how
    do i link these files to my .jsp page so that the classes/variable etc.
    declared with the java files are recognised when they are come
    across in the .jsp file.
    I dont know if I have explained that properly.

    Just include this statement at the top of your jsp:
    <%@page import="yourpackage.yourclass"%>
    The .java files should of course be compiled into .class files prior to using (and you don't include the extension when importing).

  • Managing java files and packages

    Hi,
    I am just starting out with java and have reached the stage where I want to store my files in packages and the correct directory structure. I have read through the sun link below and have a question they seam to miss. They say that .java and .class files should be kept in separate places. ie sources and classes directories with the package directory names below. But I have found that unless you have the .class files you are referencing in the same directory as the .java files when you come to compile you will get an error so they have to be stored in the same directory???.. Does this make sence or have I gotten it all wrong.
    Thanks

    You should put path containing your classes in your classpath. There is a -classpath option in javac.

  • OIC: Need to find the Source Code for the YTDSummary.java file

    Hi All,
    We have 11.5.10 implemention and we are using the OIC(Incentive Compensation) Application. In the Report Module for the Year-To-Date Summary we need look for the Java Source Code.The cnytdsum.jsp file call the YTDSummary.java file. We have teh following question
    1. How we can get the Java Source Code and where and which directory we need to look into?
    2. Let say if we need to customize the java file how we can do that?
    3. where and which directory we have to complie the java file?
    Highly appreciate for any pointers
    Thanks,
    Johnson.

    But those must be platform dependant, not really that
    interesting to look at. I have never felt any need to
    look at those at least.Wake up and smell the coffee, abbie! I read the source code all the time and constantly tell my students to do that, too.
    1. Java source code is not platform dependent. The original poster wanted to look at linked list code, how could that be platform dependent?
    2. It is the implementation of the SDK APIs, so by definition it is implementation dependent code, liable to change in a later version. So don't assume anything beyond what is claimed in the API documentation. However, sometimes the documentation is incomplete or ambiguous to you, and reading the source can provide some insight, however implementation dependent. (Light a candle or curse the darkness.)
    3. Why read source code? It's a good way to learn how to program. You see something in the API and ask: how'd they do that? Or you realize you want to do something broadly similar, but you can't reuse the source code.
    For example, Images are not Serializable, but suppose you want a small image that is part of an object to be serialized with the rest of the object without too much fuss (ie, without using javax.imageio). You notice ImageIcon is serializable, so you use it. (An ImageIcon has-an Image.) Then you wonder: how'd they do that? You read the source and then you know.
    You live, you learn,

    I want all three files to compiled successfully.If it is compiled only then I will continue on Unmarshalling process

    I suspect you are trying to compile the files one by one. You may also be trying to compile them disregarding the package structure.
    From your post, I gather these files are in the package: com.geindustrial.sqms
    Therefore, if they are not so already, put them under a directory structure:
    com/geindustrial/sqms
    and then compile with:
    javac com/geindustrial/sqms/AddCtq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/Ctq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/VariableData.java
    (The above is all on one line.)

  • .java files appear double spaced in Jdeveloper IDE.

    After checking for updates and not finding what I was looking for, all .java files appear double spaced in the Code Editor. I can't find project property that seems to control this. The files appear fine when opened with other editors.

    How does the file show up in notepad or vi? How does it show up in firefox?
    You might want to evaluate the file with an ASCII reader to see if there are any extra line breaks in the code.
    Also are some of the developers on linux/unix and some on windows?

  • Exception in sending message thru SOAP from java file to web service

    Hi,
    I am trying to invoke a web service from a java file.
    But my code error out at particular statement where I am sending the message i.e. at

    The error message is

    I am using the wsdl link in destination variable-
    String destination = "http://soad.xxxxxxxxxx.org:80/soa-infra/services/default/xxxxxx/xxxxxxx?WSDL";
    Please help me with the solution.

    Guys, any ideas because this is driving me a bit insane...
    If you have any alternative implementations I'm open to them but I'd like to know why isn't this working really...
    Thanks and regards
