4. what does "Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files\(and the rest of the path to what ever program I'm using.)" means?
"Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException:(That is the part I don't understand) The rest of the text is a path to a folder with the java in,for the program I'm using at that time.
Thanks to ChuckBing:
I'm trying to open help files in some programs, they are java based. Like Flash help.
"com.webworks.help.WWHelp
This is a part of some application/program. Does it mean anything to you?"
Yes I know it's part of the help file for the program. I did look it up and to me it seems to be where the java looks for it.
I'm so sorry I can't provide much info on this :-(

There are a number of possible problems, but diagnosis may not be possible via this forum at the present time. I say this not to chastise you, but just as a statement of reality. Until you are able to concisely point us in a direction, there's just too many possible problems for guessing solutions.
If this is a commercial product, I suggest that you consider uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. This would usually resolve any installation errors. If this doesn't help, I would go to the vendor's website and look for solutions there; your problem may be well known to the vendor. If the vendor provides telephone support, it is your best bet for a solution.
If nothing else works, feel free to post here again and we'll try...
Good luck

  • Need more info on EO,VO and AM *.java files

    HI,
    Friends and experts I need your help in learning OAF.
    I am new to OAF and want to know more info about the following java classes.
    When I created a simple search page with EO, VO and AM, the following java classes are created.
    I want to know
    what is it?
    what we do with that ?
    where we use that?
    Any sample scripts if possible?
    EOImpl.java
    Please correct me if I am wrong,I know that we use this one for manipulating data for a particular row ,operations such as getattribut,setattribute, delete ,update, insert. There are various methods got created when you create the EO if you select options on the " Generate Method " during step 4 on EO wizard.
    EOCollImpl.java
    VOImpl.java
    ViewRowImpl
    AMImpl.java
    Thanks
    Sri.

    Hi Sri ,
    EO :
    Entity Objects are basically based on one table which encapsulate the business rules. These objects are used by OAF page to perform update/insert/delete operations .
    Inside EOImpl.java you will find setter() and getter () methods in java we call it as accessor and mutator , each attribute in EO is mapped to column in the data base table .
    You can also generate a create () method Validate () method .
    Eg : To get the sequence value in OAF you can use Create() method .
    VO :
    VOImpl (VO) : It just consist of an Data base sql query , you might have noticed while executing a query eg : VO.executeQuery() ;
    to perform any validation it provides iteration over and access to the view rows in its result set.
    VoRowImpl : Represents a single row in a view object .
    You will understand better when you writing a code using voimpl /voRowimpl objects
    AmImpl :
    It basically performs the Business logic , we will define all our methods to implement business logic .
    Eg : you can call a method from controller and define the method Amimpl.java , you can use of initializing the query or
    you do DML operation , etc ...
    In summery : The main reason why we have java file distribute across EO , VO , AM is because OAF is designed with MVC design pattern ,
    in other words we have to isolate the responsibility of code in each layer ( Model , View , Controller ) .Its bad practice to write
    the entire code in one single class file .
    Eg : Controller class should accept the parameter from user and pass these parameters BC4J files ( AMImpl.java ) and its Job of the AMImpl.java
    to perform the business logic and return the result back to to controller .
    To enforce the coding standard of MVC design pattern we have these java files EO , VO , AM , CO . with more practice you will understand the various
    methods defined in each of these java files .

    Leo,
    Depending on your OS, you should be able to use;
    Win:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-419 409.html
    Mac:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572
    Some have found that the page may turn up blank to start with, so it may be necessary to reload the page.
    Others have found that it may depend on browser. Specifically, a switch from Safari has solved it in one case.

  • Since I downloaded Apple's latest operating system, whenever I try to open Illustrator I get a message that I need to install legacy Java SE6 runtime and to click "more info" to do this. When I click "more info" I get a blank window. What should I do

    Since I downloaded Apple's latest operating system, whenever I try to open Illustrator I get a message that I need to install legacy Java SE6 runtime and to click "more info" to do this. When I click "more info" I get a blank window. What should I do

    Hi,
    I had the same problem after upgrading to Yosemite. Illustrator CS6 wouldn't open. I got a message saying I should 'install legacy Java SE6 runtime'.
    The link didn't work - it lead to a blank page.
    So I downloaded Java8 (latest version) from Oracle but didn't install it. Something told me this was not the right way to go (the problem was with Java SE6, not 8). I then called Apple (in the Netherlands, were I live) for help. I got none. The best they could do was blaming Adobe for the problem or me, for not having the latest Adobe CC app. Rubbish.
    And then, magic. I tried to open Illustrator again, got the pop up message but this time the link worked. It took me to an official Apple page, with a link to download Java for OS X 2014-001. The problem is now solved.
    If curious, this is the explanation Apple gives for the problem:
    'Java for OS X 2014-001 includes installation improvements, and supersedes all previous versions of Java for OS X. This package installs the same version of Java 6 included in Java for OS X 2013-005. On systems that have not already installed Java for OS X 2012-006 or later, this update disables the Java SE 6 applet plug-in. To use applets on a web page, click on the region labeled 'missing plug-in' to download the latest version of the Java applet plug-in from Oracle.'
    See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6133 for more details about this update.
    See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1222 for information about the security content of this update.

    If the System Profiler application isn't in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder, the More Info button will be dimmed. • Looking for More Info on Java Web Service

    Hi Everyone,
    Where can i find More info on Java web Service in BPEL? Is there any link or documentation for this? I looked at the tutorial and the only info available is:
    B.2.7 Java Web Service
    This service enables you to publish a Web service from a Java class. A wizard creates the WSDL document and deployment files needed to publish your code as a Web service. After you select the class and methods you want to publish, the wizard generates deployment descriptors, a JAX-RPC mapping file, and a WSDL document that can be deployed to an application server.
    Thank You,

    Sure,
    one way would be to upload the files to XE using the WebDav feature of the XML DB. You find more information here: http://daust.blogspot.com/2006/03/where-are-images-of-application.html
    Another option would be to configure a standalone Apache as a proxy server to XE. This way you can configure the Apache any way you like.
    HTTPS with Oracle XE ?
    Re: Existing http server
    For correctly logging the remote IP you will need the following workaround:

  • 6358629 SSLSocket.close() / read() deadlock  - need more info

    Java 1.5.0_14 is documented as having this fix ....
    "6358629 jsse runtime SSLSocket.close() and SSLSocket.read() deadlock "
    I cannot find this bug in the bug db and the sun page says sometimes bugs don't show up for security reasons.
    The complete absense of info on this bug other than its title means I cannot tell whether this is the same bug I am seeing randomly in production.
    Given that I cannot replicate the problem in a reproducable test case I need sufficient info to justify upgrading the prod VM and risk introducing new bugs in an otherwise stable platform.
    Is there any way to get more info on this bug ?
    Anyone seen a problem like this in their system?
    Is it possible Sun has just hidden the bug for no good reason?
    Any help appreciated.

    Hello, thank you very much for your information.
    I had met same bug on Linux.
    java version "1.6.0_11"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_11-b03)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 11.0-b16, mixed mode)
    My workaround is here. Closing file descriptor directry by calling private native method( closeSocket0 of java.net.PlainSocketImpl ) using reflection.
    It works well on my environment.
    public static void closeNativeSocket( Socket socket )
    try
    Object object = socket;
    String fieldName = "impl";
    Field field = null;
    Method method = null;
    Class clazz;
    clazz = Class.forName( "java.net.Socket" );
    field = clazz.getDeclaredField( fieldName );
    field.setAccessible( true );
    object = field.get( object );
    clazz = Class.forName( "java.net.PlainSocketImpl" );
    method = clazz.getDeclaredMethod( "socketClose0", new Class[] { Boolean.TYPE } );
    method.setAccessible( true );
    method.invoke( object, new Object[]{ new Boolean( false ) } );
    catch( Exception e )
    e.printStackTrace();
    hope this helps.

  • Newbie Java Help

    Hello board! Have a Java Servlet question for you.
    I am creating a search page where the user can search for a music artist, and will get results. When the results are shown, the user can click on a link and it will bring him to a page where there is more info on that artist.
    Also, is there a way where if the user clicks on a link, i can retrive date from that link he selected. For example, there are three links on the page (they all go to a page "view.java"), and when the user clicks on link #1, it goes to view.java and the data in the HttpSession is brought with it.
    Thank you for your help, and let me know if you need more info.

    out.println ("<a href='http://localhost:8080/Artists/servlet/ArtistView?artistname='" + myNO.artist_name + ">" + myNO.artist_name + "</a><p>");
    yes that looks right, to make sure, place your mouse over the link and check the address bar on the bottom on the screen, suppose your artist name was soni29, then you should see on the bottom:
    http://localhost:8080/Artists/servlet/ArtistView?artistname=soni29
    something like that, this means go to ArtistView and allow it to get the variable artistname which has soni29 as it's value.
    You can place the code
    HttpSession thisSession = request.getSession("true");
    String chosenArtistName = request.getParameter("artistname");in the page you want to go to, where is your link taking you. if ArtistView is a servlet or jsp? place it there. if ArtistView is a servlet then above is ok, else if it's a jsp you don't need
    HttpSession thisSession = request.getSession("true");
    i believe HttpSession is an implicit object in a jsp page so it's already there, unless you set the page directive to false of the session on the page, but by default session object is already there in a jsp page. if it's a jsp page make sure your link has .jsp on it, like
    out.println ("<a href='http://localhost:8080/Artists/servlet/ArtistView.jsp?artistname='" + myNO.artist_name + ">" + myNO.artist_name + "</a><p>");

  • New features for next CC update: open apps, contextual menus, option-click for more info...

    I'd like to see the CC app gain a few features that would enable a more efficient workflow right from the app:
    1. Ability to open apps from the menu bar. I know we can stuff 'em in our Docks and open them in Spotlight, but being able to interact with our apps would be great. Perhaps each app could have its own gear/triangle, or each icon could be interactive; this would open a contextual menu from which we can open, delete, update, get help, maybe open recent docs....
    2. Option-clicking an app icon could pop up more info (e.g., version, last used, etc)
    3. Allow us to sort apps either manually or by automatic criteria (recently used, most used, recently updated, etc)
