JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly

Hi everyone.
I'm trying to run a java program I made for school but I keep getting the message in the debugger console:
[ Session started at 2010-09-07 01:52:54 -0400. ]
Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.
We cannot execute /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Home/bin/java
The Debugger has exited with status 1.The Debugger has exited with status 1.
I'm working with Xcode 3.2.3 and the java template is Java Tool. Can anyone help me fixing this?

Grrrr. Been having a similar problem, but with Maven2. Allow me to (hopefully) save someone the gnawing of teeth and several bald patches.
For starters, the Maven documentation gives you a pretty clear example of how to set your PATH. This is as follows:
export PATH=/usr/whatever/whateveragain/apache-maven-2.0.10/bin:$PATH
Simple, eh? Note the colon before $PATH. Then, it states quite presumptuously "4) Make sure JAVA_HOME is set to the location of your JDK". However, you don't set it in exactly the same way. You set it in virtually the same way, except without the colon, like this:
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0$JAVA_HOME
Note that if you get the paths wrong a couple of times, you may reset them with the unset command. So to unset JAVA_HOME you'd use:
unset JAVA_HOME
After which you may set it again. As is advised, you may try to set the user privileges, but they didn't seem to affect my luck at all. Hope this helps!

JAVA_HOME var not defined , Tomcat launch error

hi Friends ,
i just installed Tomcat 4.1 on my new m/c
when i go to browser and
write http://localhost:8080/
i see the Tomcat welcome page means tomcat has been set up successfully
however when i select 'Start Tomcat' from program files , the tomcat window opens and closes in 2 seconds
and when i launch Tomcat using catalaina run command i get the msg
The JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program

Tomcat Does not run : catalina_home not defined correctly

im having a problem with tomcat4.0. ive installed tomcat-4.0 at c:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.
and
jdk1.3 at :\jdk1.3
Ive set enviroment variables
catalina_home = c:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0
java_home = c:\jdk1.3\bin
classpath = c:\jdk1.3\lib\tools.jar
Event then when I run the startup.bat from c:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0\bin it gives error
The CATALINA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program
Plz help me in this regard

You could download the Java Web Services Devloper Pack from this website and install that. It includes Tomcat 4 and does all the configuration for you (at least on Windows) :)

Calculated keyfigures not defined correctly error when executing query

Hi Experts,
I changed calculations in the calculated keyfigures and saved successfully.
when I execute the query in BI7 Bex, I am getting errors like query element not defined correctly in the query. when I look into query in the designer its giving info messages for many calculated keyfigures saying reusable and saving can influence other queries.
I reverted back the changes but the errors still coming up. I tried to copy the query and run it ..still didnt helped..
Please suggest me with the solution..

The calculated keyfigure is the difference of two other calculated keyfigures...
I tried to re-drag and drop into keyfigures column and didn't worked and still getting the errors.

Go to the query designer and open you query. Then, modify the formula definition for element 6 and use NODIM(). In the formula editor expand Data Functions and select value Without dimension. For example: If you have the formula KeyFigure1 + KeyFigure2, then you should to define NODIM(KeyFigure1)+ NODIM(KeyFigure2)

Element 7 was not defined correctly

Hi,
I am facing a strange problem while executing any query through web. Whenever I try to execute a newly created query on a MP,it throws a warning that Element 7 is not defined correctly or some CKF is wrong. But when I exceute the same query the second time, all these messages get disappeared and the queries run normally.
I wonder if any one of you have faced the same problem, if so could you please share it with me? What is the underlying issue that causes these kinds of messages to pop -up?

Most warnings (like this one) are only shown once after the last query change, so it's normal that they 'disappear'. I need some more info on the warning itself to help you, what is element 7?

JAVA_HOME not defined

After successfully installing Tomcat on my Windows 2000 PC (which already has JDK1.2.2 up and working) I did this in DOS:
SET JAVA_HOME=C:\jdk1.2.2
and DOS did not object, so I assumed it worked. (However, I'm not schooled in DOS and so I'm not sure.)
When I double-click the Start Tomcat shortcut icon, a blank DOS window flashes momentarily, but nothing else happens.
But when I try to start Tomcat by double-clicking startup.bat I get a dialog box with white X on a red circle which says, "Cannot find the file
'-Djava.endorsed.dirs=' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available."
And the DOS window says:
The JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined
This environment variable is needed to run this program
Using CATALINA_BASE: ..
Using CATALINE_HOME: ..
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR ..\temp

For windows 2000, go to Control Panel and launch System. Then select Advanced tab and click on Environmental Variables. Add a new variable named JAVA_HOME and its associated directory.
In the newer windows like 2000, the command prompt is not like the older windows DOS. Using SET JAVA_HOME=C:\jdk1.2.2 only sets the variable for one command prompt window.

i got the problem
in fm
ME_REP_GET_TABLE_MANAGER --> l_factory(object) -->im_service(variable)
l_active = l_factory->is_active( im_service = l_service im_scope = im_scope ).
im_service variable has programe name, im_scope has "ALV" . then it execution goes in case statement where it checks the im_service with standard prog name.
as in case im_service has zprog, so it doesnt go to any when case and hence the prob.
any sugesstion..?????

I am trying to define a new field Department of type Lookup. For this i have created a new field in user defined fields. But when i click on create user in web console it give me "property is not set correctly for User Defined Fields."
I created a lookup field for department , but looks like i have to some kind of mapping. How can it be done?

Created Lookup.Users.Dept ( with code code=23 & decode=treasury)
Added two field in xlwebadmin.properties & xlwebadmin_en.properties
lookupfield.header.users.deptcode=Department code
lookupfield.header.users.deptname=Department name
In my lookfield properties in
column caption=Department code,Department name
Column query= Not sure what to give? here

10g exporting to CSV using client_text_io is not working correctly.

I have an odd issue which i could do with some help with. I run an function that exports to CSV based on an pre defined record group.
This has been working fine for many months with various customers. Recently a new customer used it and they have 28k rows in his record group and the export is actually not exporting correctly.
The record group has a record count of 28331.
The CSV produced has only 3756 in my CSV file. These are the last 3756 records in the Record group so its as if its overwriting the data as it goes yet all smaller datasets work

Why would I get ReferenceError #1065: "Variable title is not defined."

Well of course it's not defined. It's a dynamic class, and strict mode compilation is turned off so that I don't have to declare the property to compile it.
I've created a library item named "Page" with a single TextField instance named "title".
Page's class is defined in an ActionScript file, and it's assigned to the library item in export for ActionScript.
Page's ActionScript file defines the class as a "dynamic" class, so I should not be getting this runtime error. I turned off strict mode compiling, since it seems to be designed to check the presense of property definitions at compile time for dynamic classes like MovieClip.

So why am I getting a runtime error for the field "title". It makes no sense, because if I step to that line in the FlashDevelop debugger and hold the mouse over "title", it shows that it is in fact the instance of the TextField that I'm trying to access. Yet the player throws an error when I actually try to access it.
Is it a problem or limitation with the access style (i.e. would it work fine if I accessed it as "this.title" or "this["title"]"?

Nevermind. This was apparently a browser caching issue.   The Page base class is defined in the main interface swf, and is externally referenced through its swc in an external "lesson" file that declare a subclass of Page. It was this custom subclass of Page which was throwing the error (basically the same as the simplified example I wrote for my post, where it simply tried to access "title" as a dynamic property of the Page). What happened is the browser was caching an old version of the lesson file with the old definition of the class that was not declared as dynamic. I had received the error before, then updated the class, then I was surprised to see the error persist. It suddenly dawned on me that the browser was probably caching the old version, so I cleared the cache and it seems to work fine now.
Actually, it is a problem after all. I forgot I had updated it to use "this.title" syntax on the page I tested after clearing the cache, but the other pages that try to access title directly as "title" still throw the error. So it seems to be some sort of quirk in how flash accesses properties of a dynamic class. If you try to access them direclty, it must do so in a way that requires the property to be defined, but if you access it via "this.title" or this["title"], the it seems to resolve the property value without throwing the error.
This sucks. I was really trying to not have to write "this." for every property. The entire display list is dynamically generated from some custom XML that allows me to call constructors and set complex type-safe properties, and during construction it was copying each item into a Dictionary by name. This Dictionary was then assigned to the page class as "items", so I was accessing each display object as "item.name". Then I got the brilliant idea of just making Page and its subclasses "dynamic" so that I could just add the DIctionary values on the Page instance itself. I thought I would be able to access the dyamic properties just by their name such as "title", but lo and behold, Flash strikes again, and I have to use dot notation anyway. What do you all think? Any solutions?

Also under SMOEAC transaction, site attributes for your site type 'CRM' may not have any value. Please define attributes for your SRM RFC destination. Select the correct RFC destination, then click on button 'Get Values'.After doing this, table SMOF_ERPSH should be populated correctly.
