Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly - While running ant.

I have upgraded the JDK 1.5 Update 10 to Update 14. After upgrading the ant is failing when using with cygwin.
It's giving the below error message:
Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.
We cannot execute /cygdrive/c/Java/jdk14/bin/java
The JAVA_HOME is set properly & even I am able to check java -version.
I am using apache-ant-1.6.5 and cygwin.
Have any one faced the same problem?
Please let me know if you have any solutions

Grrrr. Been having a similar problem, but with Maven2. Allow me to (hopefully) save someone the gnawing of teeth and several bald patches.
For starters, the Maven documentation gives you a pretty clear example of how to set your PATH. This is as follows:
export PATH=/usr/whatever/whateveragain/apache-maven-2.0.10/bin:$PATH
Simple, eh? Note the colon before $PATH. Then, it states quite presumptuously "4) Make sure JAVA_HOME is set to the location of your JDK". However, you don't set it in exactly the same way. You set it in virtually the same way, except without the colon, like this:
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0$JAVA_HOME
Note that if you get the paths wrong a couple of times, you may reset them with the unset command. So to unset JAVA_HOME you'd use:
unset JAVA_HOME
After which you may set it again. As is advised, you may try to set the user privileges, but they didn't seem to affect my luck at all. Hope this helps!

Tomcat Does not run : catalina_home not defined correctly

Hello guys
im having a problem with tomcat4.0. ive installed tomcat-4.0 at c:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.
and
jdk1.3 at :\jdk1.3
Ive set enviroment variables
catalina_home = c:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0
java_home = c:\jdk1.3\bin
classpath = c:\jdk1.3\lib\tools.jar
Event then when I run the startup.bat from c:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0\bin it gives error
The CATALINA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program
Plz help me in this regard

You could download the Java Web Services Devloper Pack from this website and install that. It includes Tomcat 4 and does all the configuration for you (at least on Windows) :)

JAVA_HOME var not defined , Tomcat launch error

i just installed Tomcat 4.1 on my new m/c
when i go to browser and
write http://localhost:8080/
i see the Tomcat welcome page means tomcat has been set up successfully
however when i select 'Start Tomcat' from program files , the tomcat window opens and closes in 2 seconds
and when i launch Tomcat using catalaina run command i get the msg

Calculated keyfigures not defined correctly error when executing query

Hi Experts,
I changed calculations in the calculated keyfigures and saved successfully.
when I execute the query in BI7 Bex, I am getting errors like query element not defined correctly in the query. when I look into query in the designer its giving info messages for many calculated keyfigures saying reusable and saving can influence other queries.
I reverted back the changes but the errors still coming up. I tried to copy the query and run it ..still didnt helped..
Please suggest me with the solution..

The calculated keyfigure is the difference of two other calculated keyfigures...
I tried to re-drag and drop into keyfigures column and didn't worked and still getting the errors.

Hi Rose,
While enhancing any component using an enhancement set you can give any name for bsp application under customer namespace ( like z, y) but usually when we create a new application we just put the z or y infront of the component name and create it for example if you want to enhance bp_head_search then usually people create a new bsp appl with name zbp_head_search because it will help in finding it in se80 to figure out the component anyway you can give any name if you want.
For each component you need to create a new bsp appl.
You should use one enhancement set per client, you can use sm30 and view BSPWDV_EHSET_ASG to define your enhancement set for each client.
So to enhance all the component in same client you should use same enhancement set for that client.
I think that would be useful, let me know if you have any other doubts.

Element 7 was not defined correctly

Hi,
I am facing a strange problem while executing any query through web. Whenever I try to execute a newly created query on a MP,it throws a warning that Element 7 is not defined correctly or some CKF is wrong. But when I exceute the same query the second time, all these messages get disappeared and the queries run normally.
I wonder if any one of you have faced the same problem, if so could you please share it with me? What is the underlying issue that causes these kinds of messages to pop -up?

Most warnings (like this one) are only shown once after the last query change, so it's normal that they 'disappear'. I need some more info on the warning itself to help you, what is element 7?

Transaction launcher, get error Starttransaction is not defined

Hi, I am trying to create a new link in the navigation bar that should call ITS and a customer created transaction in CRM. We have been doing it before and these links are working, but now trying to create another link in the navigation bar, I gets an error
"Starttransaction is not defined". In the Handleclass created with the transaction launcher I gave it the name ZCL_filarkiv. When I did that I got an syntax error "There is a syntax error in class zcl_filarkiv". When I goes to SE80 in order to check the class, I can see several errors, I correct them and add a call in the method IF_CRM_IC_ACTION_HANDLER~PREPARE_DATA_FLOW in order to call the ITS and our customerdefined class. The code added is:

'ZARKIV'. "#EC NOTEXT

The syntax errors disappears and I can activate the class without problems. But when trying to use the link, I get the error "Starttransaction is not defined". Also other links that have been working before now gets an error "Error in the starttransaction ZCL_filarkiv.

Go to the query designer and open you query. Then, modify the formula definition for element 6 and use NODIM(). In the formula editor expand Data Functions and select value Without dimension. For example: If you have the formula KeyFigure1 + KeyFigure2, then you should to define NODIM(KeyFigure1)+ NODIM(KeyFigure2)

Labview error GPIB controller not adressed correctly

I get this Labview error: GPIB controller not adressed correctly (LV5.1, win NT4) when i try to send data to a HP4275A LCR meter. How ever it works on an older system running with LabView 5.0 (also NT)!!!
How can I get rid of this problem????

I tried to configure (GPIB) everything standard.
when I try a 488 command initialze, I get the controller conflict, when i don't do this I get atime out problem either by 488 write-command or by 488.2 send-command.
the differences between the systems where it works and where not are:
working: Win 95, LV 5.0, GPIB-card/TNT (plug & play)
not-working: WinNT, LV 5.1, GPIB-card/PCI
i tried to set baord config to the same parameters...
on the faulti system however I see the instrument with the MAX and I can send commands, without problems !!!!
Also the driver you posted does not work (but the NI-communicate program ;-)
i have no clue what else to do!
btw. how do I copy the spy output when running the program? I may provide
this to find errors.
Since MAX indicates the board is all right I guess it is not necessary to reinstall the boarddrivers?!

TO confirmation error - item category not defined

Hi experts,
We have a HU/WM setup in our warehouse. While i try to confirm the TO i am getting an error 'item category not defined'?
I am able to confirm the TO's for other orders, this is happenning for a specific group of orders which have a different item category in delivery.
Any hints when this error will appear?
Is there any config where we assign the delivery item category with the warehose or any other setting?

I suggest have a look at OSS note 1464539 - your settings in table T184L might be wrong.
Is it possible that the batch is determined via WM, during picking? If different batches have been determined for one item, it will cause batch split in your delivery - if settings in T184L are wrong, system cannot cope with it and may throw error message VL324.
(sorry for duplicate, I was slow a little bit and "Sap: IN" said the same in the meanwhile)

Just like the title says, starting with Firefox 4 Beta 6 or 7, I forgot. I am trying to create a Receipt from Production with this code:

where the production order will contain several component items that make up a finished good. Two of the component items are Labor and Royalties and are not marked as Inventory Items.
The Add method returns this error:
"Item is not defined as an Inventory Item" and references one the non-inventory items (ie 'Labor').
I can received the same Production Order through SBO without an error.

Because I am concerned about eliminating Labor from the Bill Of Material and its effect on the 'Acutal Product Cost' when I create a Production Order I set up a test.
I created two Finished Goods Inventory Items with similar Bills of Material. Both included a Labor component (non-inventory item). The difference though, is one Labor component has an Item Type of Labor and the other Labor component has an Item Type of 'Items'
Next, I create a Work order for each of the finished items. Then I did a receipt from Production and closed the Work Orders.
Looking at the Production Order summary, the Finished Good had an 'Actual Additional Cost' that was non-zero for the Finished Good that had a Labor component of the 'Items'; the other Finshed Good had a zero 'Actual Additional Cost'. These seems in conflict with the eLearning segment on Production.
At this point is this a different Forum?
