Java.io.StreamCorruptedException: illegal handle value

Hi
I am using Oracle Coherence 3.3 in my application. I my application we are taking the objects from Webservices and storing them in the Cache(Replicated). And then retrieve them from the Cache.
But now on our application Linux server we are getting "java.io.StreamCorruptedException: illegal handle value"
Can anybody tell the reason of this. I am not sure whether it is a Coherence issue.
The log of error which i am getting is this. Please do reply. Its really urgent.

Hi user628020,
Since you are using standard Java serialization, the only two reasons I can think of are:
1) a bug in serialization routines for any of the classes your objects use (e.g. TreeMap)
2) concurrent modification of the same object by another thread at the same time
With urgent support questions I would suggest using the Oracle Metalink.

  • XI Adapter Illegal count value 0

    Hi all,
    When configuring the PI Adapter to connect for outbound messaging from MDM, we are receiving the following error:
    Illegal Count Value 0
    This error is in the Component Monitoring.
    Looking in the logs, this seems to be occuring because of the error here:

    Could anyone provide any advice on this?  The error occurs even if the Port is deliberately configured incorrectly, but only occurs when the Remote System is correctly configured.  Changing the user seemed to make no difference.
    We are using 7.1 SP05

        }I am currently totally clueless , i dont understand what steps should i take. Is this error due to some keystore stuff??
    I even tried to replace the policy files in jre as per some blogs but it still does not work.
    I have very limited knowledge of the security issues with weblogic , i will really appreciate if i can get any links or any help in this matter.
    Thanks in advance

    java.security.InvalidKeyException: Illegal key size
    So there are at least 4 certificates in your server's truststore that are causing issues.
    Is your weblogic server using CustomIdentityAndStandardTrust? If so, the the keystore is the $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security/cacerts
    You should familiarize yourself with keytool ( in $JAVA_HOME/bin ) and consider removing entries from your trust store unless you absolutely need them and are willing to trust any cert signed by them. There's been a thread about some newer Certificate Authorities ( CAs ) that were included as part of a recent java upgrade which have caused similar "unknown OID" issues.
    For your specific endpoint, you can use your browser to invoke the services' wsdl; this will cause your browser to fetch the certificate from that server
    You can then see what CA is used to sign it. Then see whether that CA is in your truststore.
    There is also a thread with a very simple class to test the SSL handshake:

  • [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-24801: illegal parameter value in OCI lob function

    Hi,
    I am trying to insert an xml doc into a column of Oracle table which has a datatype CLOB in JSP. PFB my code that I am using --
    int id = 100;
    String st1 = "NEW";
    String st2 = "WLR3_IN_1";
    Date dt = new SimpleDateFormat("mm/dd/yyyy").parse("04/02/2008");
    Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
    con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:CST Server","xmluser","xmluser");
    String query = "INSERT INTO SEQ_API_MESSAGE_IN(SEQ_NO,MESSAGE_TEXT,STATUS,DIALECT,CREATED_TS) VALUES(?,?,?,?,?)";
    out.println(6);
    String fn = "C:/order.xml";
    out.println(7);
    PreparedStatement stmt = con.prepareStatement(query);
    out.println(8);
    File file = new File(fn);
    out.println(9);
    FileReader inputFileReader = new FileReader(file);
    stmt.setInt(1,id);
    stmt.setCharacterStream(2,inputFileReader, (long)file.length());
    stmt.setString(3,st1);
    stmt.setString(4,st2);
    stmt.setDate(5,new java.sql.Date(dt.getTime()));
    out.println(10);
    if (stmt.executeUpdate() != 1) {
    System.out.println("No record inserted.");
    But I am getting an output in the form of an Oracle error - 5 6 7 8 9 10 [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-24801: illegal parameter value in OCI lob function
    So all the statements are getting executed after which this Oracle error is thrown. Could you help me with this.
    Thanks in anticipation.. :)

    As suggested I may try switching to JDBC instead of JDBC-ODBC bridge driver , but I also tried doing this to get the sysdate --
    //Date dt = new SimpleDateFormat("mm/dd/yyyy").parse("04/02/2008");
    String date = DateFormat.getInstance().format(new Date());
    stmt.setString(5,date);
    and now I am getting this error -- 5 6 7 8 9 10 [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01843: not a valid month Hello1
    Hello1 is coming from --
    catch (SQLException sqle){
    out.println(sqle.getMessage());
    out.print("Hello1");
    }

    OK I have two suggestions.
    1. Always create and flush the ObjectOutputStream before creating the ObjectInputStream.
    2. Always close the output before you close the input. Actually once you close the output stream both the input stream and the socket are closed anyway so you can economize on this code. In the above you have out..writeObject() followed by input.close() followed by out.close(). Change this to out.writeObject() followed by out.close(). It may be that something needed flushing and the input.close() prevented the flush from happening.

    First, your singleton is not threadsafe, second because it's overly complicated. Simply eagerly initialize it.
    Third: why don't you use the Session or a request parameter to handle your data?
    Fourth: are you sure the serialized data is correctly written?

  • Error while exporting : ORA-24801: illegal parameter value in OCI lob funct

    hello,
    I am doing an export on a 10.2.0.4 , solaris machine.
    The table i am doing an export has a blob & clob.
    During the export I get the error :
    EXP-00056: ORACLE error 24801 encountered
    ORA-24801: illegal parameter value in OCI lob function
    In metalink it was given : Check every parameter in the OCI Lob function call to make sure they
         are correct. Offsets should be greater than or equal to one.
    Where should I check for that OCI Lob function. Or is there any other alternative to do the export.
    Thanks for any help.

    I have increased the space on the mount I was doing the export and that solved the problem.
    Thanks

  • Java.sql.BatchUpdateException: ORA-12899[ value too large for column.......

    Hi All,
    I am using SOA 11g(11.1.1.3). I am trying to insert data in to a table coming from a file. I have encountered the fallowing error.
    Exception occured when binding was invoked.
    Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'insert' failed due to: DBWriteInteractionSpec Execute Failed Exception.
    *insert failed. Descriptor name: [UploadStgTbl.XXXXStgTbl].*
    Caused by java.sql.BatchUpdateException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "XXXX"."XXXX_STG_TBL"."XXXXXX_XXXXX_TYPE" (actual: 20, maximum: 15)
    *The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception.*
    *Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution.*
    The data type of the column errored out is VARCHAR2(25). I found related issue in metalink, java.sql.BatchUpdateException (ORA-12899) Reported When DB Adapter Reads a Row From a Table it is Polling For Added Rows [ID 1113215.1].
    But the solution seems not applicable in my case...
    Can anyone encountered same issue?? Is this a bug? If it is a bug, do we have patch for this bug??
    Please help me out...
    Thank you all...

    It didn't work.
    After I changed length of that column of the source datastore (from 15 to 16), ODI created temporary tables (C$ with I$) with larger columns (16 instead of 15) but I got the same error message.
    I'm wondering why I have to extend length of source datastore in the source model if there are no values in the source table with a length greather than 15....
    Any other idea? Thanks !

    I've dug deeper into this problem and am able reproduce the error in the Pluto server. To reproduce this error, I modified my Oracle jdbc driver from the JSC embedded driver (smoracle.jar) to the Oracle native driver (ojdbc14.jar). Now, I am getting the exception in my Sun Application Server:
    What is the difference between ojdbc14.jar and smoracle.jar that could cause this problem? What can I do so that I can fix this problem for ojdbc14.jar?
    Thanks,

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Cannot convert value

    I have a database table - name is client. It has one field with TimeStamp Datatype.
    I am using mysql-3.23.51-win and j2sdk-1_4_0_01-windows-i586.
    create table client (
    MODIFIED timestamp(14)
    while I am doing select MODIFIED from client that time I am receiving 00000000000000.
    So It has 00000000000000 value in databse.
    Now I am getting this value using ResultSet. for that
    I have a one Client Object class name is GenericClient
    public class GenericClient {
    private java.util.Date _modified;
    public java.util.Date getModified() {
    return _modified;
    public void setModified(java.util.Date newVal) {
    this._modified = newVal;
    In my database processing class I am getting database value and set that value in setModified(java.util.Date newVal).
    like
    private Client decodeRow(ResultSet rs) throws SQLException {
    GenericClient obj = new GenericClient();
    obj.setModified(rs.getTimestamp(1));
    return obj;
    So at obj.setModified(rs.getTimestamp(1)); line I am received error message
    java.sql.SQLException: Cannot convert value '00000000000000' from column 1 to TIMESTAMP.
    Please guide me why I am receiving the above error.
    Thanks
    Amit

    Please find some more information from my side
    1) I am passing Timestamp Object
    2) I am using PreparedStatement
    3) code

  • ORA-24801: illegal parameter value in OCI lob function

    Passing a null value or a null string as the value for a CLOB parameter, when executing a procedure or function, generates the error message 'ORA-24801: illegal parameter value in OCI lob function'. Passing a non-null string such as ' ' does not, does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    I guess that export utility does not export LOB's columns.

                   System.out.println("calculated MAC: "+new String(macres));
                   if(!Arrays.equals(macres, mmac)){
                        throw new IOException("violated integrity");
              return rbyte;
    public int read(byte [] b) throws IOException{
         if(FIRST_TIME){
              mmac = new byte [mac.getMacLength()];
              super.in.read(mmac);
         if(super.available()==0){
              FIRST_TIME=true;
              return -1;
         int rbytes = super.in.read(b);
         FIRST_TIME=false;
         mac.update(b);
         if(super.available()==0){
              byte [] macres =mac.doFinal();
              if(!Arrays.equals(macres, mmac)){
                   throw new IOException("violated integrity");
         return rbytes;
    }And here is the "main" function where the exception gets thrown:
    public void run() {
         try {
              ObjectOutputStream oos = new ObjectOutputStream(s.getOutputStream());
              Mac mac = Mac.getInstance("HmacMD5");
              Key key = KeyGenerator.getInstance("HmacMD5").generateKey();
              oos.writeObject(key);
              oos.flush();
              mac.init(key);
              ObjectInputStream cis = new ObjectInputStream(new MacInputStream(s.getInputStream(),mac));
             String test;
             try {
                   while (true) {
                        test = (String)cis.readObject();
                        System.out.println(ct + " : " + test);
              } catch (EOFException e) {
                   System.out.println("["+ct + "]");
              } finally {
              if (cis!=null) cis.close();
              if (oos!=null) oos.close();
         } catch (Exception e) {
             e.printStackTrace();
        }It's exactly in the line: ObjectInputStream cis = new ObjectInputStream(new MacInputStream(s.getInputStream(),mac));Any ideas?
    I'm starting to desperate :P

    (a) I still don't see where you are writing the MAC that you're reading. You're reading something, but it's all or part of the Object stream header I described above, which is why ObjectInputStream' constructor is throwing that exception.
    (b) You don't need to override read(byte[] b) when you extend FilterInputStream, but you do need to override read(byte[] b, int offset, int length), and you need to do it like this:
    public int read(byte[] buffer, int offset, int length) throws IOException
      int count = 0;
      do
        int c = read();
        if (c < 0)
            break;
        buffer[offset+count++] = (byte)c;
      } while (count < length && available() > 0);
      return count > 0 ? count : -1;
    }This way the read() method gets to see every byte that's read and to do its MAC thing or whatever it does. The above is one of only two correct uses of available() in existence: it ensures that you only block once while reading, which is the correct behaviour e.g. on a network.
