    The password encryption application works fine wherever we have tested it except this particular TRU64 box. We hava HP version of java 1.4.2-5 on this box, which is basically built on Sun's 1.4.2-11. I have been having this problem for a while and recently reinstalled J2SDK. Nothing seems to help other than getting a different exception.
    If I have below order of security.provider in java.security file, I get the exception mentioned in the Subject line.
    security.provider.1=com.sun.crypto.provider.SunJCE
    security.provider.2=sun.security.provider.Sun
    When I reverse the order, I am getting below exception:
    Java.security.InvalidKeyException: Missing password
    Any help in getting this resolved is greatly appreciated.

    I just got this resolved. I realized that password encryption is done on an IBM JVM, so the decryption should also be done with IBMJCE(not sure if this is true), I have changed below in java.security
    security.provider.1=com.ibm.crypto.provider.IBMJCE
    security.provider.2=sun.security.provider.Sun
    security.provider.3=com.sun.crypto.provider.SunJCE
    then, I got a ClassNotFoundException for Debug class in some ibm package. I had to include ibmpkcs.jar along with ibmjceprovider.jar in the classpath and it started working fine.

  • Java.lang.InternalError: jzentry == 0 after long idle time

    Hi,
    Our J2Se 1.4.1 Client/Server application works fine.
    However, after a long period of inactivity on the Windows 2000 client side (one hour or two, like during lunch), the icons in the toolbars have vanished and be replaced by black.
    Some other times, I get an internal error:
    java.lang.InternalError: jzentry == 0,
    jzfile = 9641264,
    total = 2427,
    name = L:\xxx\yyy\ourapplication.jar,
    i = 1,
    message = couldn't read LOC header
    It seems as if the memory content was swapped out and the classes loaded in the heap were lost due to some timeout.
    Can someone explain the phenomenon and propose a solution to this annoying behaviour?
    Jean-Pierre

    I have a similar (if not iqual) problem. The diferense is that I'm using XP and not 2000 edition.
    the error "begin" when I do my first Ctrl+Spacebar.... I think that eclipse begin to load the super classes, but stops because of some reason, that I dont know..
    what is LOC header? is that an JVM problem? I think so because of the error message witch apears after that long time waitng:
    "Virtual machine error jas occurred
    You are recommended to exit the workbench
    Subsequent errors may happen and may terminate the workbench without warring.

    1) chk this post

    Check your environment config file first. \jdeveloper\system\system11.1.1.0.31.51.88\DefaultDomain\bin\setDomainEnv.cmd
    IF there is no JRockit setting, you might get above problem. Because Sun's JVM has limitation of SourceDebugExtension. It was 64Kb.
    Install JRockit Real Time, and re-config your environment. Like this:

    Thanks, Jeff.
    Yes, there could be sth wrong in the EJB-QL finder method. Actually I seldom got it to work properly.

    It seems the generated SQL is correct(?). But when I ran it, I got the initial internal error.
    There is no example to show how to change the orion-ejb-jar.xml file for a 3-param SQL statement.
    value is String type. The SQL is used to retrieve a value for a specific server/daemon/item combination from sys_server_config table .

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Internal Error in RowSet

    Im getting the following error when running a JSF application on websphere 6.1
    I have a class MainSessionBean class which extends AbstractSessionBean and in the init() method of my MainSessionBean class, Im initializing some values like datasource, command like the following
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setDataSourceName("java:comp/env/jdbc/I5Dev");
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setCommand("SELECT max(AIPRGPRIO) as PRIORITY FROM TFTS341");
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setTableName("TFTS341");
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setTransactionIsolation(java.sql.Connection.TRANSACTION_NONE);
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setReadOnly(true);
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setPrintStatements(true);
    The scope of this bean (MainSessionBean) is defined as session in the managed-beans.xml.
    So when application starts the init() method of my MainSessionBean class should get called right?
    But the init() method is not getting called and the value of the datasource ,command etc are coming as null.
    Im trying to access the value pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet in the MainSessionBean with the following code.
    private CachedRowSetDataProvider pgmPriorityMaxValueDataProvider = new CachedRowSetDataProvider();
    pgmPriorityMaxValueDataProvider.setCachedRowSet((javax.sql.rowset.CachedRowSet)getValue("#{MainSessionBean.pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet}"));
    What can be the issue?
    This application works fine in TOMCAT. But when Im trying on websphere6.1 Im getting the following error.

    Is there difference between the way session is handled in TOMCAT and websphere 6.1?

    Im getting the following error when running a JSF application on websphere 6.1
    I have a class MainSessionBean class which extends AbstractSessionBean and in the init() method of my MainSessionBean class, Im initializing some values like datasource, command like the following
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setDataSourceName("java:comp/env/jdbc/I5Dev");
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setCommand("SELECT max(AIPRGPRIO) as PRIORITY FROM TFTS341");
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setTableName("TFTS341");
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setTransactionIsolation(java.sql.Connection.TRANSACTION_NONE);
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setReadOnly(true);
    pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet.setPrintStatements(true);
    The scope of this bean (MainSessionBean) is defined as session in the managed-beans.xml.
    So when application starts the init() method of my MainSessionBean class should get called right?
    But the init() method is not getting called and the value of the datasource ,command etc are coming as null.
    Im trying to access the value pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet in the MainSessionBean with the following code.
    private CachedRowSetDataProvider pgmPriorityMaxValueDataProvider = new CachedRowSetDataProvider();
    pgmPriorityMaxValueDataProvider.setCachedRowSet((javax.sql.rowset.CachedRowSet)getValue("#{MainSessionBean.pgmPriorityMaxValueRowSet}"));
    What can be the issue?
    This application works fine in TOMCAT. But when Im trying on websphere6.1 Im getting the following error.

    If you create a a dataprovider, but the rowset is not in the sessionbean you may run into this problem. Delete the old dataprovider and created a new one and see if that gets rid of your problem.

  • Exception in thread "main" java.lang.InternalError: Can't connect to X11 wi

    Hello Friends,
    I dont know whether this would be the correct forum or not but my problem is very critical so please help me.
    1. I am working on linux server where I have installed Tomcat4.x, Apache 2.0, JDK1.4.2. I have set all CLASSPATH.
    Java is working fine. I am using one JCLASS component which is useful in chart creation.
    3. Few days back the code regarding Frame cration was working fine but now its giving an error. I am actually running these files using cron and my requirement is also same.
    4. I have tried almost all possibilities like
    export DISPLAY=localhost:0.0
    export DISPLAY=ipaddress:0.0, but no luck.
    Can you explain me what could be the reason.

    You are probably creating images on the fly.
    Due to a bug/annoyance in the JDK, it requires an X-display. This is not related to the Sun ONE Webserver but a general problem.
    -Either install an X server, but this might not be possible because of a server security strip.
    -install a virtual X xvfb or something alike to emulate this behaviour.
    I thought it would be solved in newer JDK's but in which i'm not sure.

    Question : In the above example reportingManagers is also a list of Employee classes. Can't I self reference a object with in the same object ? How do I store list of reportingManagers in this example? Any help is highly appreciated.

    Hi Sandra,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Is there any restrictions in Berkeley DB to store cyclic referencing objects?
    API documentation for Entity annotation talks about cyclic references in one of section but contradicts the same in another section. Please refer the link below:
    [ http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17076_02/html/java/com/sleepycat/persist/model/Entity.html]
    Following sections of this documentation contradicts each other. I have highlighted both of them in bold.
    Other Type Restrictions:
    Entity classes and subclasses may not be used in field declarations for persistent types. Fields of entity classes and subclasses must be simple types or non-entity persistent types (annotated with Persistent not with Entity).
    If a field of an Entity needs to reference an object, the referenced object should be marked with @Persistent and not with @Entity. So, self referencing is not possible as the main class would have been marked with @Entity.
    Embedded Objects
    As stated above, the embedded (or member) non-transient non-static fields of an entity class are themselves persistent and are stored along with their parent entity object. This allows embedded objects to be stored in an entity to an arbitrary depth.
    There is no arbitrary limit to the nesting depth of embedded objects within an entity; however, there is a practical limit. When an entity is marshalled, each level of nesting is implemented internally via recursive method calls. If the nesting depth is large enough, a StackOverflowError can occur. In practice, this has been observed with a nesting depth of 12,000, using the default Java stack size. This restriction on the nesting depth of embedded objects does not apply to cyclic references, since these are handled specially as described below.
    Self referencing is possible.
    Object Graphs
    When an entity instance is stored, the graph of objects referenced via its fields is stored and retrieved as a graph. In other words, if a single instance is referenced by two or more fields when the entity is stored, the same will be true when the entity is retrieved. When a reference to a particular object is stored as a member field inside that object or one of its embedded objects, this is called a cyclic reference. Because multiple references to a single object are stored as such, cycles are also represented correctly and do not cause infinite recursion or infinite processing loops. If an entity containing a cyclic reference is stored, the cyclic reference will be present when the entity is retrieved.
    My question:
    In the above first highlighted section says to store a referenced/embedded object it needs be marked with @Persistent and not with @Entity annotation. That rules out storage of cyclic referencing object since the main object would have been already marked with @Entity annotation. The second section indicates having support for cyclic references.
    So, Is it possible to store cyclic referencing objects in BDB? if yes, how it should be done?
    Thanks,
    Bibhu
