Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: while starting Integration Builder!
Hello experts,
I was working on IR absolutely fine. The connection went off and I tried to log in to IB again. It gave me locking error when I was trying to edit any object. So the BASIS guy stopped the XI server and tried to make it up again.
After that when I am trying to open Integration builder, its giving me the following error:
"Application error occurred during request processing.
Details: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.sap.aii.ibrep.server.transport.impl.service.InternalRepTransportServiceImpl (initialization failure)
Exception id: [000D604D0DA7005D00000019001FC08E0004424566F0368A]"
Neither me nor my BASIS guy are having any idea why this error is comming all of a sudden when everything was working absolutely fine.
Can anyone please help me in resolving this issue as this is very critical?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Yash
Hi Matias,
We tried all possible ways like restarting the workstation and the server. Infact only after we stoped the server and tried to put it up, this problem started coming. It was working fine perviously. We are trying all possible ways to reslove it but till now no major success. It is really hampering my development schedule.
I will ask my BASIS guy to check the management console. Even I tried to see what was the error in the XI administrator login and i found that many of the services (under Admistration - Application) are either in status "Stopped" or "Implicit_Stopped" and when we try to start them, they dont get started!! One of the application among them is also tcslmslmapp! How can that be started?
Will thsi problem impact on all the developments i have done till now?
Also the detail error trace which i get when starting IB is:

Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError while calling a java class from BPEL
Hi,
I'm calling a java class to convert JSON to XML using BPEL. I have imported all the necessary jar files in the project and compiling done successfully.
But at runtime , i get the java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/sf/json/JSON error.
For this i placed all the necessary jars under FUSION_HOME/Oracle_SOA1/soa/modules/oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1/ path and restarted the server.
But still i'm getting the same error at runtime.
Did i missed any step? Let me know the procedure to solve this.
Do i have to run ant or edit Manifest file after placing the jar?
in one site i find we have to place the jars under <DOMAIN HOME>/lib directory. Is this correct?
We are using SOA suite 11.1.1.6.
Thanks,
TerryHi Karan,
I have done placing the jars at FUSION_HOME/Oracle_SOA1/soa/modules/oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1/ and ran ant -f build.xml .The build was successful without any error.
I have even placed the jars in <DOMAIN HOME>/lib (/us2001/fmw/11.1.1.6/user_projects/domains/ohsdomain/lib) and did a server restart.
After these activities, when i execute the composite, i still get the error in em console,

Getting java.lang.IllegalStateException while starting new transaction.
Hi All,
I am writing a simple web application(using netbeans visual jsf) but not able to proceed forward. I am encountering this "java.lang.IllegalStateException: Operation not allowed" when I try to start a new transaction.
Here's my code for session bean:
@Resource(name= "UserTransactionResource", mappedName="UserTransactionMapped")
private UserTransaction utx;
@PersistenceUnit(unitName = "myproj-ejbPU")
private EntityManagerFactory emf;
private EntityManager getEntityManager() {
return emf.createEntityManager();
public void save(UserProfile userprofile) throws Exception {
EntityManager em = getEntityManager();
try {
utx.begin();
em.joinTransaction();
em.persist(userprofile);
utx.commit();
catch (Exception ex) {
try {
System.out.println(ex.toString()); ---------------> prints java.lang.IllegalStateException: Operation not allowed
utx.rollback();
throw new Exception(ex.getLocalizedMessage());
catch (Exception e) {
throw new Exception(e.getLocalizedMessage());
finally {
em.close();
}This is what is seen in glassfish server log:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Operation not allowed.
java.lang.Exception: Operation not allowed.
javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: java.lang.Exception: Operation not allowed.

at com.sun.rave.web.ui.appbase.faces.ActionListenerImpl.processAction(ActionListenerImpl.java:91)
Please help me. I am totally stuck here. I am new to both jsf and ejbs. And i was referring this link http://www.packtpub.com/article/Building-JSF-EJB3-Applications
Thanks,
blue_devThanks for having a look at it.
I tried this: System.out.println(ex.getCause()); , but it only prints null.
I have pasted part of my glassfish server log which is quite big. I am not able to figure out the root cause of this problem. But my transaction object "utx" is causing this, i guess. Maybe this server log can give some clues.

Java.lang.IllegalAccessException while starting MIDlet
Hi.
I am quite green to J2ME. I have developed and debbugged a large part of a J2ME application first under J2SE, as it was more comfortable. I used only the core CLDC1.1 and MIDP2.0 classes, but now, when I created a MIDlet that initializes the application and tried starting it from under KToolbar, I get smth like:
java.lang.IllegalAccessException
at com.sun.midp.midlet.MIDletState.createMIDlet(+19)
at com.sun.midp.midlet.Scheduler.schedule(+52)
at com.sun.midp.main.Main.runLocalClass(+28)
at com.sun.midp.main.Main.main(+116)
The project contains various packages, but even when I comment out everything and leave only the primary structure of the MIDlet in place, the error still occurs.
Can anyone help me, please?Hello.
I use de doja libreries for develop c chat in JXME and when I run i have this error:
I have 2 classes, one extends Panel and another extends IApplication and I don't have Middlet becaise the Panel is the Middlet.
The two classes are public but i have this error when i run:
java.lang.IllegalAccessException

at com.sun.midp.midlet.Selector.run(Selector.java:150)

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Helloworld
Hi Java Experts,
I am at a lost to how Java searches for all the classes when running a program. Below are the following steps I have taken to try a simple basic HelloWorld.java program on the command prompt on Windows XP (SP2) platform:
( i ) Installed both jdk1.5.0_09 and Netbeans IDE 5.0 and working properly.
( ii ) The source file is located in F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\src\ch11 and the compiled file is in F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes\ch11 which was compiled in Netbeans.
( iii ) No problem compiling & running this program in Netbeans.
( iv ) The RUN CLASSPATH in Netbeans is F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes.
( v ) No CLASSPATH variable has been set.
( vi ) The HelloWorld program looks like this:
package ch11;
public class HelloWorld {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("Hello World!");
( vi ) Got the message
"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloWorld"
when running a combination of the following Java commands:
( a ) cd F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes
( b ) java HelloWorld, or
java -cp . HelloWorld or java -cp "." HelloWorld, or
java -cp F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes HelloWorld or "F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes" HelloWorld, or
java -cp F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes;. HelloWorld or "F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes";. HelloWorld, or
java -cp "F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes";. HelloWorld or "F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes";"." HelloWorld, or
java -cp "F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes";. HelloWorld or "F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes";"." ch11\HelloWorld.
It is the package location which is a subdirectory of F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes which caused Java not to find this program. I had no problem running it if the HelloWorld.java was moved one level up. ie from F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes\ch11 to F:\Documents and Settings\abc\HeadFirstDesignPattern\build\classes.
I have written Java in the last year mostly on Netbeans without any problem running them.
The reason for having to learn to run Java on the command line is so that I could add arguments to the program which I couldn't do in Netbeans just yet.
I have gone through a lot of the articles from Java forums, Google searches but yet to have found a solution.
Many thanks,
Netbeans FanI am getting the same problem when running the same program on a Fedora 4.0 (Redhat Linux 10) system, together with Netbeans 5.5 and JDK1.5.0_09. Again, I have no such problem when running the same program in Netbeans.

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
Am using java 1.3.1 on Red Hat Linux 7.1
i get this error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
while running a simple program HelloWorld.java
helpWhen you use the "java" command, the only required argument is the name of the class that you want to execute. This argument must be a class name, not a file name, and class names are case sensitive. For example, "java HelloWorld.java" won't work because the class name isn't HelloWorld.java, it's HelloWorld. Similarly, "java helloworld" won't work because a class defined as "public class HelloWorld {" is not named helloworld due to case sensitivity. Finally, the .class file must be in a directory that is in the Classpath - that's where java.exe searches to find the file that contains the class.

Debian jdk 1.5 Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
Hi people!
My problem is that I"ve installed jdk 1.5 on Debian (without problems) and I want to run my java program. I get
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: /home/me/GermanAnnotations/build/classes/GermanAnnotations
although this class exists and runs perfectly under Windows.
Please, help!
NataThis sounds like someone is including the ".class" in a class name. For example, when I compile a java application, it may be in a package like "tld.mydomain.package". When I run it I might say:
java -classpath classes tld.mydomain.package.ClassNamebut a common mistake is to include the ".class":
java -classpath classes tld.mydomain.package.ClassName.classwhich would produce an output similar to what you're seeing. -
Stuck for 2 days: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
I wrote the code in netbeans 5.5 under windows XP and compiled perfectly. I tried to run the generated Jar file code in the command prompt and it did work perfectly.
C:\Datahub\dist> java -jar Datahub.jar
BUT when I took the jar file and tried to run it under linux here is what I got:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: while resolving class: main.hw

The project i am working on is funded by IBM and they will be really mad if it didn't work :(
Please help.It is not clear what You want to run under Linux. Jar under JVM or native code? If You are going to use JVM make it clear for Yourself which one You are going to use and then make sure it is installed properly.

When I create an EJB Transport Business Service, after selecting the jar that has the EJB 2.1 artefacts (Remote, Home, etc) the oepe plugin fails and can't continue.
As I understand it seems that there is a problem with the classpath of ant build.xml that oepe creates inside folder /tmp/alsbejbtransport/ to compile the bs and generate the wsdl. I checked if tools.jar is in the classpath (in eclipse) and is included, so I can't figure out wich is the problem.
I found this in Oracle, but not helps solve the problem:
BEA-398120
Error: The WSDL for the typed transport endpoint could not be accessed.
Description
There was a problem retrieving the WSDL from the typed transport service endpoint at the time of service registration
Action

This is the the full stacktrace that shows eclipse.

Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError org.apache.struts.taglib.BaseHandlerTag
Hi,
We are using Jdeveloper10g version 9.0.5.2(Build 1618) as our IDE. We have a struts based controller architecture in our project. So we frequently use struts tags in our jsp pages. The application is working fine but sometimes when i do some changes in one of or a number of the jsp files in Jdeveloper , after recompiling i get the above error in number of jsps though i haven't touched those jsps at all.
I found a work around for this problem by just shutting down the Jdeveloper and again starting it.
It gives such kind of errors for only stuts based tag containing jsps.
Do anybody has any solution for this persistent problem.
My whole team is facing this problem.
With Warm Regards,
Datta.No anyone knows?

Hi,
We are migrating to weblogic server. While deploying the EAR in Production WebLogic server I am getting the following - "Class Not found Exception" . I have local version of weblogic server which is coupled with eclipse is not giving me any error when I deploy the same EAR, but only production weblogic server is giving error. In the production environment we are using clusters. and we have staging environment also.
It would be great if someone let me know how to get rid of this error. Thanks in advance
