Java Mapping XML Encoding Error.
Hi All,
I hav an IDoc XML coming out of R/3 whose encoding technique is UTF-8. I hav to change it to ISO-8859-1 before parsing the xml in the java mapping program. i have seen this problem repeating among many people but i cud not find any solution on the SDN. Can any one help me out in this regard?

UNICODE System - XML Encoding Error

We've upgraded our SAP system to ECC 6.0 Unicode. One of our applications works with XML files and we've been experimenting some problems with the XML encoding since the machine is Unicode enabled. In the XML structure we obtain strange chinesse characters:

Here is the code where we guess the problem is (we have tried with differente encoding types: ISO-8859-1, UTF-8, UTF-16 and DEFAULT).

(IDATA is the variable where we see the chinesse text)It will not give you any effect to set up encoding because this function module sets its own encoding inside:
encoding = pixml->create_encoding( character_set = 'UTF-8' byte_order = 0 ).
Renderer is created by the kernel:
by kernel module abkm_iXML_CreateRenderer.
Something may be wrong with the installation. -
Hi,
It appears that your XML is really encoded in ISO-8859-1, because you say that parses correctly (and then you get correct output, I guess). But apparently the XML doesn't have a prolog that declares that encoding, so your parser assumes it's encoded in UTF-8. That's the default for documents that don't declare their encoding.
So get those documents fixed so they declare their encoding correctly. Or get them fixed so they are encoded in UTF-8. Either will solve your problem. If it's this FWTools thing that's generating these malformed documents, file a bug report with them. -
Error in Java Mapping for Single XML conversion
We are working on ABAP Proxy --> SAP PI 7.1 --> SOAP (Synchronous Scenario).

Client has provided a WSDL with Single Node of XML and asking us to pass the whole structure as an single string along with all the nodes of data structure. To perform mapping we are using Java Mapping.

the program is compiled properly and class file is generated.
but m gettin error in mapping.
in IR i created two message type with data type as string.
and i had imported the class file and java program using Imported archives.
now in interface mapping mapping program i had selected type as Java Class.and name of java program.
but when i tested it, it is giving error as Linkage error occurred when loading class zip/PayloadToXMLField
Please suggest, M i doing some thing wrong?is any thing missing?

Getting Error in java mapping: Parsing empty source. Root element expected!
Hi Experts,
I am using java mapping for schema validation of input message. I have followed all the standard procedures and implemented the java class in the interface mapping.
My interface mapping is like this:
OrderData --->Java Class ---SchemaValidate
Mesg Map ---OrderData_to_BAP --->BAPI Msg
So first I want to validate the schema of the input message. If the input message is invalid then XI should throw an exception. Then I use the actual message mapping to map the input order data to the BAPI input parameters.
In the java code I am using xerces parser.
The java code works fine when I run it as a standalone application.
The interface mapping also works fine if I don't include the java mapping. Ofcourse schema validation does not happen.
But when I test the interface mapping by including the java mapping then I am getting the error:

I did the code changes to return output stream and the java code works perfectly in standalone mode in my PC.
But when I use the same in the Java mapping with XI then It throws an error "Getting Error in java mapping: Parsing empty source. Root element expected!".
My XI J2EE server has JDK1.4.3.11.
Is there any limitation of using SAX parser in XI? If Yes, then which parser should be used for schema validation in XI?
I have included the XSD file for schema validation along with class files in the .jar file. This jar file is then imported in XI repository. Is the XI engine not able to read the XSD file?
Do I have to handle reading XSD file differently? Any suggession how?
Is this parser error due to some security access?
Kindly help me! I have been struggling with this problem since 2 weeks. I will be greatfull to you if you can help me.

When you make the jar to import to XI you must verify the two classes are generated at the same time. Later you can verify in Inteface Mapping that you are using the myEcho class to do the java mapping.
Plesae verify the java version are the same in you own machine and the xi machine.

XML Deserialization error while consuming Enterprise service in wd java..

I am trying to build 2 webdynpro java webdynpro applications which consumes enterprise service for purchase order and another application for Busines partner.
While i was able to successfully consume the PO service in webdynpro java and get the desired output for PO..i get XML Deserialization error while running appliation for Business Partner..
These are the details/steps i followed for the Business Partner application:
1. After creating the model using the enterprise service, i created a service controller from the model to the component controller..
2. Out of many inputs/output attributes during mapping from model to component controller. i further mapped the context from CC to ViewC.
3. In the wdDoInit() method, i added the follwing code:

I checked that the service runs fine in soamanager.

This error is majorly because while executing this Webdynpro application you are not entering all the mandatory fileds of WS.
Please try to execute this WS from WS-Navigator, check which fileds are mandatory and then
appropriately instantiate it in wdDoInit and pass all the fields required.

XSLT-transformation in Java-Mapping with javax.xml
Hi,
we wanna use javax.xml for transformations in Java-Mapping.
Inside the Java-mapping we read in XSL-files to transform a XML-stream. With XSLT 1.0 everything works fine - but with XSLT 2.0 we are getting runtime errors.
Is it possible that javax.xml only supports XSLT 1.0?

we are trying to achieve the same using JPA. but unfortunately we failed..
for simplifying lets assume we have two tables , STUDENT ( id int, name char) and COURSES ( studentID int , and lessons xml) ... these two tables are related to each other with studentID foreign key... and we want to have student and courses java files where courses.java includes proper mapping to xml column lessons..
i tried to make an .xsd file for xml column lessons.. and then i created its java file.. then i used JPA for creating student and courses java files but it always turns me a null pointer exception.. i dont know why.. and as result , only student.java is being created..

My database connection and the tables are already present.
1- i have created a new dynamic web site project, namely dene..

i have thought it might be because i use the openjpa and jaxb libraries of RSA.. and then i tried to load the latest versions of JAXB and openjpa .. i added all of their .jar files to the application classpath.. (if it is sufficient to add only openjpa-1.2.0.jar and jaxb-api.jar files let me know it please).. but this did not work neither..
the only exception i get is :
An internal error occurred during: "Generating Entities".
java.lang.NullPointerException
while creating lessons.java and the entity java files i am making sure that i give the same package name for both ... but i never succeeded creating courses.java..
in RSA when i right click to project and go te JPA Tools menu there is a menu item "Configure Project for JDBC deployment" .. what is this for.. i have also tried using this and then trying to create entities but this failed too..

i have decided to code the classes myself but in order to get things a little easier, i opened my DB and converted the XML column to a SMALLINT column .. just not an XML column... and then using JPA in RSA - i did not include openJPA jars in my project externally- i created the classes .. both Course.java and Student.java have been created well, because the column that was actually xml was converted to small integer..
and if i add the related persistence and strategy lines :
@Persistent
@Strategy("org.apache.openjpa.xmlmapping.XmlValueHandler")
to their proper places and editing the function and attributes data types and return types and then if i re-convert the column to XML data type in database, do you think it will work properly?
so i really need a suggestion.. any help will be appreciated..

You will need to be more specific. Do you want an XML layout to use for importing or exporting SAP Business One objects? Maybe give us details of the specific object. Most DI API objects have a write to XML which will give you the layout for that object. You can also refer to the REFDI.CHM file under the SDK Help folder.

How can I get the label to print in one line. I have a label that has 2 words and it prints in two lines. I tried enclosing it in a panel form with a wide enough label width; i tried setting the width in label style and nothing seems to work. I also
