Java papi client 57 UserTransaction lookup fails

Guys,
I am trying to write PAPI client which is to run from Tomcat and connecting to ALBPM 5.7 Enterprise which is on Weblogic 92.
I am able to do all operations how ever do see exceptions when PAPI tries to connect to News Topic.
Please let me know if some one has seen this problem in ALBPM5.7 and how it was resolved. I think fix may be in directory.properties by adding/removing some properties but dont know what.
Following is the error message
An error occurred when subscribing to the JMS Topic engine. Reason:'While trying to lookup 'java:comp.UserTransaction' didn't find subcontext 'java:comp'. Resolved ''
Caused by: While trying to lookup 'java:comp.UserTransaction' didn't find subcontext 'java:comp'. Resolved ''
When I checked in directory database, I see following XML in FUEGO_CONFIG table
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<?fuego version="5.7 GA SP3" application="albpmenteprisej2ee"?>
<set>

Following is my directory.properties (I have tweaked a bit to make it work)
# Directory configuration
# The following properties define the configuration for a directory provider.
# Do not modify the prefix of the properties. Always leave "directory.default."
directory.default.url=oracle://localhost:1521/schema=BEA_FDI,sid=XE

directory.default.preset.portal-anonymous.participant=administrator
# custom properties.
# fuego properties.
directory.default.jdbc-user=BEA_FDI
directory.default.jdbc-password=password
#directory.default.skip-auth=true
If you see I have commented following properties above which is basically referring to elements in XML which I have pasted above.
#directory.default.provider=oracle
#directory.default.connector-subtype=ORACLE
#directory.default.directory-res-ref-name=myengine_J2EE_FDI_FUEGOLABS_ARG
Similarly there is UserTransaction entry in FUEGO_CONFIG table xml as highlighted in bold.
Is there any fix/tweak in directory.properties which will resolve my problem?
Thanks in advance for helping.

Dear fellow forum members,
For future reference:
After a very very long time we received advise from SAP to perform actions we already suggested.....
We have ´hacked´ the keydb.xml file. We must say that SAP gave good detailed advise on which entries to change:
1#. Log on to ABAP and check what password was set for user "ADS_AGENT"
2#. Go to:
/tmp/sapinst_instdir/NW04S/LM/AS-JAVA/ADDIN/ADA/CENTRAL/CI/
1. Save a backup of "keydb.xml" first.
2. Find the following lines at the keydb.xml:
This solved the problem for our customer, so this question can be marked as answered by Casper (my colleague). We hope that SAP will launch a patch to solve this problem, as it has cost us a lot of time and we can imagine that other consultants are facing the same issues, as this seems to be a hashing mechanism that does not perform/work correctly.
Best regards,
Jan Laros

  • Connect Java PAPI client to 5.7 Studio embedded engine?

    I am coding and unit testing some integration of java PAPI client code against a process inALBPM 5.7. But, it is very cumbersome to have to do a fully deploy to a bpm server to do this unit testing.
    Is it possible to configure the properties used to create the ProcessService object to connect to the engine that is launched from within the Studio so that I can test locally on my PC? What would the directory.properties have to look like to do so?

    I assume here that your application is deployed on a different physical machine of where LCES is deployed and running.
    Do the following test:
    - Say that LCES is deployed on machine1 and your application is deployed on machine2. Ping machine1 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine1 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    - Ping machine2 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine2 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    Usually this kind of error would happen if your servers have internal and external ip addresses.

  • JNDI lookup fails for client applications

    I am currently porting our j2ee application to weblogic 7.0. The application already
    runs successfully on Orion and Jboss. I have got everything working now except
    for our client applications, which all fail with a JNDI lookup error. The exception
    is:

    at BatchIndexer.main(BatchIndexer.java:89)
    I have looked up numerous postings on various mailing lists describing similar
    problems, but none of them give an explanation which helps me.
    I am convinced that I have the ejb deployment descriptors correct because all
    our JSPs, servlets and session beans successfully lookup and use the EJBs.
    I am also convinced that I have the correct code for the JNDI lookup in our client
    applications, because they work perfectly well on Orion and Jboss and use syntax
    which is described as correct in the jsee specification, i.e. "java:comp/env/..."
    Here is the descriptor from weblogic-ejb-jar.xml for the EJB mentioned in the
    example exception above:
    <weblogic-enterprise-bean>
    <ejb-name>QualifierInstance</ejb-name>
    <jndi-name>comp/env/ejb/QualifierInstance</jndi-name>
    </weblogic-enterprise-bean>
    And here is the descriptor in the application-client.xml file:
         <ejb-ref>
              <ejb-ref-name>ejb/QualifierInstance</ejb-ref-name>
              <ejb-ref-type>Entity</ejb-ref-type>           <home>com.espritsoutron.xengine.ejb.metamodel.QualifierInstanceHome</home>
              <remote>com.espritsoutron.xengine.ejb.metamodel.QualifierInstance</remote>
              <ejb-link>QualifierInstance</ejb-link>
         </ejb-ref>
    And here is the code in the client application that attempts to perform the lookup:
    qiHome = (QualifierInstanceHome)PortableRemoteObject.narrow(context.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/QualifierInstance"),
    QualifierInstanceHome.class);
    The annoying thing is that I know I can make this work if I change the code to
    omit the "java:" prefix, but I don't want to do this because then it would no
    longer work on either Orion and Jboss.
    P.S. I have also tried changing the jndi-name in the weblogic-ejb-jar descriptor
    to "ejb/QualifierInstance" and just "QualifierInstance", but neither of these
    make any difference. I even tried chaning it to "java:comp/env/ejb/QualifierInstance"
    but that totally breaks the server.
    Can anyone can please help with this?

    you can find the JNDI name in the JNDI tree from the admin console
    right click on your server and choose "view jndi tree".
    if you bind your ejb to ejb/QualifierInstance
    you look it up with that exact same name ejb/QualifierInstance

  • Failed to download java download client

    Trying to get a webex meeting going w/new firefox 4 install, I get:
    "Failed to download java download client!
    Sorry, you do not have java download client enabled. Please try again or inform your Site Administrator to set up for you. "
    There is no site administrator, it's my Mac so I'm it. ;) I've googled it and I see nothing on how to turn this on. Basically you can try and start a webex meeting here:
    http://www.webex.com/lp/jointest/
    That also chokes with the same error. Works with Firefox 3.x no problems... but with firefox 4 no dice. Probably some simple setting I'm missing... can someone give me a clue?

    Workaround:
    Find your Firefox application in Finder, right click on it, click on "File Info", select 32-bit mode, and restart Firefox.

  • JNDI lookup failed:javax.naming.NameNotFoundException

    Hello:
    I have a application (not web) that publish messages to a specific topic, i want to receive these messages in a Web Service, but when the web service make the call to a class that is the JMS Client it can't find the Connection factory Name that i create in the aplication.
    I want to know what i have to do,
    I work with J2EE1.3.1 and JMS1.0.2 for the application that publish the messages
    and Jwsdp1.1, tomcat 4 and j2sdk 1.4.0 for the web service.
    I create the connection factory with this command:
    j2eeadmin -addJmsFactory jms/DurableTopicB topic -props clientID=IdTopicB
    Then in the class that the web service invoke i trying to join with this:
    try {
    jndiContext =new InitialContext();
    }catch (NamingException e){
    System.err.println("Could not create JNDI API "+
    "context:"+e.toString());
    return;
    *Look up connection factory and topic.If either
    *does not exist,exit.
    try {
    topicConnectionFactory =(TopicConnectionFactory)
    jndiContext.lookup(conFacName);
    }catch (NamingException e){
    System.err.println("JNDI API lookup failed:"+
    e.toString());
    return;
    //System.exit(1);
    But i receive a error message in the log of Tomcat:
    JNDI API lookup failed:javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: El nombre DurableTopicB no este asociado a este contexto
    Thanks

    Hello:
    I display the full context of the connection factory in the application that publish the message:
    Full context is :
    Enviroment is : {java.naming.corba.orb=com.sun.enterprise.iiop.POAEJBORB@ec4a87}
    And in the web service when i create the initial context the full context is:
    Full context is : java:
    Enviroment is : {java.naming.factory.initial=org.apache.naming.java.javaURLContextFactory, java.naming.factory.url.pkgs=org.apache.naming}
    How can i see the connection factory in the Web Service, because the connection factory was created in other Application?

    In order to get a reference to you EJB Home interface from JNDI, your
    application has to have an access to the stub of this interface. This stub
    is generated by WL tools when you deploy your EJB. Because your servlet runs
    inside the server's VM, it has an access to this stub by default. So just
    include these stubs in CLASSPATH of your test program and you will see the
    difference.

    Hi Srinivas,
    I am in dilemaaa whether i need to take a EDI x12 over internet and EDI x12 over genric exchange.I think this is something which you should discuss with your TP and as per the availability and requirement a decision should be made.
    If you are using FTP protocol in internal delivery channel, then you need to follow the file naming convention to provide B2B required information to identify the TP and transaction. For this please refer -
    http://www.b2bgurus.com/search/label/Generic%20File
    To know more about TP identification in EDI, please refer -

    Hi Srinivas,
    I think you have one more thread opened for the same -
    Trading partner agreement lookup failed as From trading partner cannot be i
    Anyways, as I mentioned earlier in above thread, please follow proper file naming convention to allow B2B to identify the Trading Partner.

  • Cannot connect a Java GUI client to an EJB

    I am having problems trying to make a Java GUI client connect to an EJB. I am using JRun4.
    At first, I tried making the Java GUI client a part of the enterprise application that I am building (of which the EJB is a part of). I included the client as a Java module in the application.xml of the enterprise application.
    However, when I try to start the server, containing this application, I get an error saying:
    Application authentication required. Incorrect method call.
    Now when I try to execute the application from the console, it works fine except when it comes to the part when it has to connect to the EJB. At this point I get an java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException. Here's the stack trace:

    Since the bean is local, I am using a local reference to the bean in the lookup in the code of the client:
    Object o = context.lookup("local/BeanTest")
    I tried to use:
    Object o = context.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/BeanTest")
    and added an ejb-local-ref in the application-client.xml file of the client. But when I try executing the client in this case, I get an error saying:
    No such binding: ejb
    I wish someone can help me out with this. My main aim is to get the app client talk to the EJB. Thanks a lot in advance.

    I am not sure of a tool to view the JNDI tree. I have one in Weblogic console. But you can check the JNDI names with a small sample code.
    import java.util.*;
    import javax.naming.*;
    import javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject;
    public class TestEnvironment {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            Context context   = null;
            Object object     = null;
            // Hashtable for environment properties.
            Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
            env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
            env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://localhost:7001");
            try {
                context   = new InitialContext(env);
                NamingEnumeration enum = context.listBindings("");
                while (enum.hasMore()) {
                    Binding binding = (Binding) enum.next();
                    System.out.println("Name: " + binding.getName());
                    System.out.println("Type: " + binding.getClassName());
                    System.out.println("Value: " + binding.getObject());
            } catch (Exception exception) {
                exception.printStackTrace();
    }Hope this helps.

    I think problem is with your working folder.
    configuration.setProperty(ProcessService.WORKING_FOLDER,"/tmp");
    set it to where exactly your application folder path.

  • Lookup failed: javax.jnlp.UnavailableServiceException: uninitialized

    When U deployed *.war file to App Server and I call JNLP to launch program and display its on Java Web Start. But If i call as below
         System.out.println("Before Step1");
         System.out.println(ServiceManager.getServiceNames());
         basicService = (BasicService)
         ServiceManager.lookup("javax.jnlp.BasicService");
    I get message on console
    Lookup failed: javax.jnlp.UnavailableServiceException: uninitialized
    I can check service where is working?
    anyone advice plese?
    Thank

    I had the same problem and to solve it, I do those 3
    steps :
    - I copy the file "jnlp.jar" (you can find with the
    JDK files) in the folder of my application.
    - After you have to put the path of jnlp.jar
    (generally
    "C:\Java\jdk1.5.0_06\sample\jnlp\servlet\jnlp.jar")
    in the CLASSPATH.
    - And finally when you create your .jar, you have to
    add the file "jnlp.jar" to it...
    So I hope it is "quite" clear (if not, don't hesitate
    to ask for it) and I hope it will work.
    Regards.====================
    I had followed the steps defined above.
    Even then i am getting same UnavailableServiceException.
    regards,
    raj

    support team suggested to use,
    -Dfuego.papi.lockManagerClass=fuego.papi.impl.lock.ParanoidLockManager for each java process, acting as PAPI client. This class available in fuegopapi-client.jar
    additional comments from support team,
    Implementing this property does not generate side-effects. This property detects and kills/recovers deadlocks in the PAPI instance cache
