Java - php / passing parameters

hi,
i am trying to set up a communication between my java app and a php skrip. i've done the following:
try {
URL url =
new URL("http://test.net/" +
"login.php");
URLConnection connection =
url.openConnection();
connection.setDoOutput(true);
PrintStream out =
new PrintStream(connection.getOutputStream());
out.println("username=" + URLEncoder.encode("test"));
out.println("password=" + URLEncoder.encode("9e07480f0e4952926e115f15bc50ec47"));
out.close();
DataInputStream in =
new DataInputStream(connection.getInputStream());
result = in.readLine();
System.out.println("result:" + result.toString());
in.close();
} catch(MalformedURLException mue) {
System.out.println("Illegal URL: " + mue);
} catch(IOException ioe) {
System.out.println("IOException: " + ioe);
} catch(Exception e) {
System.out.println("Error: " + e);
the php gets my request but it doesn't realize the parameters username/passord.
is there a way to set the parameters through the api or do is the only way to do it by adding them to the url like ?username=bla&password=bla. i really would like to do it on a higher level but maybe there is no api support available. thanx for any advice, mischka.

Golden rule of testing: test one thing at a time.
Try it with this (working code) to test that you know that you CAN write a simple *.txt message file from a TextField first before extending it to verification /password whatever conditions.import java.net.*;
import java.io.*;
import java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;
public class write extends java.applet.Applet implements ActionListener {
    TextArea info = new TextArea(10,60);
     Button Bsend = new Button("SEND");
     String str = "", text="";
     public void init() {
          add(info);
          Bsend.addActionListener(this);
          add(Bsend);
     public void paint (Graphics g) {
          g.drawString(str, 30, 270);
     public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent evt) {
            if (evt.getSource().equals(Bsend) ) {
            try{
                writePage();
               catch(Exception x){ System.out.print(x); }
          repaint();
    public void writePage() throws Exception {
        text = info.getText();
         URL url = new URL("http://"+getCodeBase().getHost()+"login.php");
            URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();
            conn.setDoOutput(true);
            OutputStreamWriter wr = new OutputStreamWriter(conn.getOutputStream());
            wr.write(text);
            wr.flush();
        wr.close();
        str = "Information sent to " + getCodeBase().getHost().toString();

  • Scripting in Java 6: Passing parameters to a factory

    Dear forum members,
    Since recently I am enjoying the new scripting facilities of Java 6. I like the idea of having factory engines. But I am surprised that there is no (obvious) way to pass parameters to the engine. The class javax.script.ScriptEngineFactory does not offer a setParameter method. I wonder how the ScriptEngine.ARGV variable may be initialized without such a facility.
    I think that a good shortcoming is to add a method setGlobalParameters to a ScriptEngineFactory.
    Did I miss anything?
    Regards,
    Alexandre

    Yes, in our case the parameters are not dependent on the datasource.  We wanted to place some of the report setup (setting up page headers, parameter, etc) in a separate thread, independent of the function that gathers our data, to speed up the report processing.

    Hi
    I want to run a batch file by passing some parameters.
    Eg: copy.bat "D:\live\hoe.txt" "D:\test"
    while doing this from command prompt its working and i have written some java code for running this batch file.
    String live="D:\\live\\how.txt";
    String test="D:\\test";
    String bat="D:\\copy.bat";
    String[] command = new String[3];

  • Passing Parameters via Post Method from Webdynpro Java to a web application

    Hello Experts,
    I want to pass few parameters from a web dynpro application to an external web application.
    In order to achieve this, I am referring to the below thread:
    HTTP Post
    As mentioned in the thread, I am trying to create an additional Suspend Plug parameter (besides 'Url' of type String) with name 'postParams' and of type Map.
    But when I build my DC, I am getting the same error which most of the people in the thread have mentioned:
    Controller XXXCompInterfaceView [Suspend]: Outbound plug (of type 'Suspend') 'Suspend' may have at most two parameters: 'Url' of type 'string' and 'postParams' of type 'Map'.
    I am using SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Version: 7.01.00
    Kindly suggest if this is the NWDS version issue or is it something else that I am missing out.
    Also, if it is the NWDS version issue please let me know the NWDS version that I can use to avoid this error.
    Any other suggestion/alternative approach to pass the parameters via POST method from webdynpro java to an external web application apart from the one which is mentioned in the above thread is most welcome.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anurag

    Hi,
    This is purely a java approach, even you can try this for your requirement.
    There are two types of http calls synchronous call or Asynchronous call. So you have to choose the way to pass parameters in post method based on the http call.
    if it is synchronous means, collect all the values from users/parameters using UI element eg: form and pass all the values via form to the next page is nothing but your web application url.
    If it is Asynchronous  means, write a http client in java and integrate the same with your custom code and you can find an option for sending parameters in post method.
    here you go and find the way to implement Asynchronous  scenario,

  • Issue with passing parameters through Java-JSP in a report with cross tab

    Can anyone tell me, if there's a bug in Java SDK in passing the parameters to a report (rpt file) that has a cross tab in it ?
    I hava report that works perfectly fine
       with ODBC through IDE and also through browser (JSP page)
    (ii)    with JDBC in CR 2011 IDE
    the rpt file has a cross tab and accpts two parameters.
    When I run the JDBC report through JSP the parameters are never considered. The same report works fine when I remove the cross tab and make it a simple report.
    I have posted this to CR SDK forum and have not received any reply. This have become a blocker and because of this our delivery has been postponed. We are left with two choices,
       Re-Write the rpt files not to have cross-tabs - This would take significant effort
    OR
    (ii)  Abandon the crystal solution and try out any other java based solutions available.
    I have given the code here in this forum posting..
    CR 2011 - JDBC Report Issue in passing parameters
    TIA
    DRG
    TIA
    DRG

    Mr.James,
    Thank you for the reply.
    As I stated earlier, we have been using the latest service pack (12) when I generated the log file that is uploaded earlier.
    To confirm this further, I downloaded the complete eclipse bundle from sdn site and reran the rpt files. No change in the behaviour and the bug is reproducible.
    You are right about the parameters, we are using  {?@Direction} is: n(1.0)
    {?@BDate} is: dt(d(1973-01-01),t(00:00:00.453000000)) as parameters in JSP and we get 146 records when we directly execute the stored procedure. The date and the direction parameter values stored in design time are different. '1965-01-01' and Direction 1.
    When we run the JSP page, The parameter that is passed through the JSP page, is displayed correctly on the right top of the report view. But the data that is displayed in cross tab is not corresponding to the date and direction parameter. It corresponds to 1965-01-01 and direction 1 which are saved at design time.
    You can test this by modifying the parameter values in the JSP page that I sent earlier. You will see the displayed data will remain same irrespective of the parameter.
    Further to note, Before each trial run, I modify the parameters in JSP page, build them and redeploy so that caching does not affect the end result.
    This behaviour, we observe on all the reports that have cross-tabs. These reports work perfectly fine when rendered through ODBC-ActiveX viewer and the bug is observable only when ran through Java runtime library. We get this bug on view, export and print functionalities as well.
    Additionally we tested the same in
        With CR version 2008 instead of CR 2011.
    (ii)   Different browsers ranging from IE 7 through 9 and FF 7.
    The complete environment and various softwares that we used for this testing are,
    OS      : XP Latest updates as on Oct 2011.
    App Server: GlassFish Version 3 with Java version 1.6 and build 21
    Database server ; SQL Server 2005. SP 3 - Dev Ed.
    JTds JDBC type 4 driver version - 1.2.5  from source forge.
    Eclipse : Helios along with crystal libraries directly downloaded from SDN site.
    I am uploading the log file that is generated when rendering the rpt for view in IE 8

  • Passing parameters from Java to an Oracle proc

    I am passing 3 parameters from Java method to an Oracle function.
    The Java method is called getStatic(String szparams) which invokes oracle function
    getStatic("GB1000");
    Oracle procedure
    SELECT XMLELEMENT("Underlying",
           XMLELEMENT("Code",a.code))
    FROM underlying a
    WHERE xml.extractval(a.xml,'/tables:underlying/tables:isin/text()',xml.getns('NS_TABLES'))=':arg1:' Passing 1 parameter works fine.
    2)Now I need to pass 3 parameters to the same function
    getStatic("GB1000\i\common");
    Oracle procedure
    SELECT
    XMLELEMENT(":arg2::Underlying", XMLATTRIBUTES(a.code "value", ':arg3:' as "xmlns::arg2:", 'http://www.AAA.com/common' as "xmlns:common"),
    XMLELEMENT("common:Code", a.code),
    FROM
      table a
    WHERE
      a.code = ':arg1:'Passing 3 params doesnt work.
    I tried using this way also:
    getStatic("GB1000\\i\\common"); -- still doesnt work.
    Is there a specific format where you can pass 3 parameters to the same method in Java?
    No offence meant,as this may sound silly.
    Thanks,

    Hi Nitin,
    yes, it is possible to pass parameters as URL parameters to the WDA applivcation. In WDA, for the handler method of your windows default Inplug (in standard the method is named HANDLEDEFAULT) define the parameters that you like to receive thru URL. When defining the WDA application, you can also set default parameters to avoid a dump, when parameters are not provided via URL.
    I just tried it out, it works.
    Kind regards
    Andreas

  • Passing parameters to Widgets through Java code

    hi,
    i want to pass parameters to yahoo widgets through java code. Eg, if we consider yahoo weather widget, then i have to pass the parameters country through java code. i also have to read the output given by widget through java code (which in this case is the weather for all the days for the current week).
    This is an extremely urgent requirement, so quick and helpful reply will be highly appretiated.
    thanks in advance

    Hello,
    Did you try passing through the URL
    eg: http:
    test.html?a="test"; and use some request open to get the values from the url.

  • Passing parameters to an ITS Transaction iView Table from Webdynpro Java

    Hi,
    I am calling the IW44 transaction from Webdynpro using ITS, and would like to pass a list of Confirmation Numbers as screen parameters. When I pass parameters to AFRUD-RUECK, I can fill one cell, but my question is how to fill up each row as the technical name will be the same?
    Thanks

    Try this

  • Passing parameters to Update page

    Hi,
    I created the search/create/update page going by the instructions in the tutorial exercise. My primary key is a combination of employee number AND sequence number.
    When I query the employee in the search page and if the employee has more than one record it displays all the records for that employee.
    When I click on the "update" button on one of the record, It is not displaying me the record on which I clicked the "update" button. Instead it is displaying me the other record for the same employee. I believe I need to pass the sequence value as the parameter, but do not know how to pass it. Can anyone one help me accomplish this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Al

    Hi,
    I created a new method(initQueryUpdate) in the VOImpl(here I am also setting the where clause).
    Also created a method(initDetailsUpdate) in the AMImpl and I am calling the vo.initQueryUpdate in AM code.
    I am also passing the parameters to method via a call in the ReviewupdateCO(am.invokeMethod("initDetailsUpdate", params);).
    It is compiling the entire jpr without any errors.
    When I Search an employee and clisk on the update button then I am geting the following error.
    I tried to pass parameters by putting them on the update button property with the action type of "fireAction.
    I also tried by making the actiontype "none" and putting the forwarding apge with parameters in the "Destination URL" property and still I get the error message when I run it. Any one has any clues.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ali

    I have one question about passing PL/SQL tables types and tabs as IN parameter in procedure.I am working in 11.2.0.2.0 environment. I am stuck on how to pass those values to procedure.Please find below more details:
    Table 1:
    CREATE TABLE ITEMS
    ITEM_ID VARCHAR2(40 BYTE) NOT NULL,
    ITEM_NAME VARCHAR2(40 BYTE),
    SERIAL NUMBER(2),
    ADDED_ON DATE);
    Table 2:
    CREATE TABLE ITEM_ACTIVITY_INFO
    ITEM_ID VARCHAR2(40 BYTE) NOT NULL,
    ACCOUNT_TYPE VARCHAR2(1 BYTE),
    ID_NUMBER NUMBER(3),
    ACTIVATION_DATE DATE);
    Table 3:
    CREATE TABLE ITEM_GROUP
    GROUP_ID NUMBER(2) NOT NULL,
    ITEM_ID VARCHAR2(40 BYTE),
    GROUP_TYPE VARCHAR2(20 BYTE),
    GROUP_DATE DATE);
    Table 4:
    CREATE TABLE ITEM_ADDRESS
    GROUP_ID NUMBER(2) NOT NULL,
    NAME VARCHAR2(60 BYTE),
    ADDRESS VARCHAR2(100));
    Following types are created:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE ITEMS_TYPE AS OBJECT
    ITEM_ID VARCHAR2(40 BYTE),
    ITEM_NAME VARCHAR2(40 BYTE),
    SERIAL NUMBER(2),
    ADDED_ON DATE);
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE ITEM_ACTIVITY_TYPE AS OBJECT
    ITEM_ID VARCHAR2(40 BYTE),
    ACCOUNT_TYPE VARCHAR2(1 BYTE),
    ID_NUMBER NUMBER(3),
    ACTIVATION_DATE DATE);
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE ITEM_GROUP_COMP_TYPE AS OBJECT
    GROUP_ID NUMBER(2) NOT NULL,
    ITEM_ID VARCHAR2(40 BYTE),
    GROUP_TYPE VARCHAR2(20 BYTE),
    GROUP_DATE DATE
    ITEM_ADDRESS_IN ITEM_ADDRESS_TYPE);
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE ITEM_ADDRESS_TYPE AS OBJECT
    GROUP_ID NUMBER(2),
    NAME VARCHAR2(60 BYTE),
    ADDRESS VARCHAR2(100));
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE ITEM_GROUP_COMP_TAB AS TABLE OF ITEM_GROUP_COMP_TYPE;
    Create or replace procedure ITEM_ADD_CHANGE(
    ITEM_IN IN ITEMS_TYPE,
    ITEM_ACTIVITY_IN IN ITEM_ACTIVITY_TYPE,
    ITEM_GROUP_IN IN ITEM_GROUP_COMP_TAB,
    ITEM_OUT IN OUT ITEMS.ITEM_ID%TYPE);
    Above are the paramteres we are passing to procedure.
    I need help in how to pass parameters to above procedure. All comments and responses will be highly appreciated. Thanks everyone for going through the post. Please let me know if more more information is required on this problem.
    Regards
    Dev

    Types used in this fashion, only make sense if the table is based on the type. It makes very little sense to have a table structure and then to duplicate the structure using a type.
    The 2 structures may be defined the same. But they are NOT interchangeable and requires one to be converted to the other to use. This is not sensible in my view. It is far easier in that case to simply use the PL/SQL macro +%RowType+ to create a duplicate structure definition - one that can natively be used for touching that table, without conversions required.
    If you do want to use types, define the type, then define the table of that type, adding the required constraints (pk, fk, not null, check) to the table's definition.Billy:
    Just curious, why do you say it makes very little sense to have a type modeled on a table? I do that a lot. In my case, I am getting the values from an external program, not building them manually, but it makes a lot of sense to me.
    One application where I do this a lot has a java front-end that parses HL7 messages. Each message contains at least minimal information about a variable number of entities (and often several rows for an entity) in the database, and must be processed as a single atomic trasnaction. So, rather than have potentially hundreds of parameters to the "main" driver procedures for different message types I created a set of types more or less identical to the tables representing the entities. The java program parses the mesasge and populates the type, then calls the appropriate stored procedure for the message type passing in the populated types. My stored procedure then does inserts/updates or deletes as appropriate over potentially dozens of tables.

  • Passing parameters dynamically from Self Service Page

    Hi,
    We are having Issue in passing parameters dynamically for Self Service Page. We are in the process of doing research on the same which is taking time. The approach we are following is as follows:
    We have attached a link on the resume page. The link is in the form of a button. On the click of button the report is displayed. The steps are as given below:
    1. Log in through the ‘Application Developer’ Responsibility.
    2. Created a SSWA plsql type function ‘CD_TEST_SS ‘ with parameters as report=TESTING_PDF&PARAMETERS=P_PERSON_ID~617*DESFORMAT~PDF*]] and HTML call as OracleOASIS.RunReport.
    3. Enable the profile option ‘Personalize Self-Service Defn’ to ‘Y’.
    4. Log in through the ‘Manager Self Service’ Responsibility.
    5. Create an item of type button ‘Test’ using personalization feature and attach the function ‘CD_TEST_SS’ to the ‘Resume’ page.
    6. The button ‘Test’ appears on the form.
    7. On clicking the ‘Test’ button the 6i report is called. The rdf file is place on the server in appl/au/11.5.0/reports/US directory. The rdf name is ‘TESTING_PDF.rdf’.
    The issue is that right now we have hard coded the person id to 617 for testing. We need to pass the parameters at runtime. i.e. the person id of the employee selected should be passed dynamically. Please let us know if you have any idea about this.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Passing Parameters between 2 Portlets on 1 Page

    Hi,
    I'm new to this portlet stuff and I might miss something important, but:
    I "just" want to send parameters from one form on one Page to a portlet on the same page...
    PassAllParameters is already set to true...
    I also have read the "Primer" and the "Adding Parameters and Events to Portlets", after giving up to do this my own, I just copied and pasted the Name/Age Form JSP (nearly... I've made Java out of it...) as my DataProvider Portlet and copied and pasted the "Generic Public Parameter Receiving Portlet" as my DataReceiver Portlet... the Event and Parameter Tags are NOT missing in the provider.xml... but even after pressing submit there are no parameters at all avaible for the "receiving Portlet"!!!
    PLEASE can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?!?!?!?

    Hi friends,
    I worked with the application which is in
    http://server:port/jpdk/providers/event. is working fine with passing parameters to another page.
    Also I create my own application which is working fine if i have the 2 portlets in the same page.
    But it is not working with portlets in different page. On clicking the link it is not going to the another page. Hereby i give the required codes.
    portletpass.jsp:
    PortletRenderRequest prr = (PortletRenderRequest) request.getAttribute(HttpCommonConstants.PORTLET_RENDER_REQUEST);
    String eventSubmit = EventUtils.eventName("submit");
    String eventParamsno = EventUtils.eventParameter("sno");
    String strsno="50" ;
    NameValuePair[] linkParams = new NameValuePair[2];
    linkParams[0] = new NameValuePair(HttpPortletRendererUtil.portletParameter(request, eventSubmit), "");
    linkParams[1] = new NameValuePair(HttpPortletRendererUtil.portletParameter(request, eventParamsno),strsno);
    <a href="<%=PortletRendererUtil.constructLink(prr,
      prr.getRenderContext().getEventURL(), linkParams, true, true)%>"><%= strtitle %>
    </a>
    provider.xml of portletpass.jsp:
    <event class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultEventDefinition">
    <name>submit</name>
    <parameter class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultParameterDefinition">
    <name>sno</name>
    <displayName>sno</displayName>
    </parameter>
    </event>
    portletreceive.jsp:
    PortletRenderRequest prr = (PortletRenderRequest) request.getAttribute(HttpCommonConstants.PORTLET_RENDER_REQUEST);
    //      String snosp = "sno", snorec="" ;
    //     String values = prr.getParameter("sno") -------returns null
         String values = prr.getParameter("_page_url");
         String snorec = values.substring(values.lastIndexOf("sno=")+4) ;
         out.println(snorec); // here i get the required value
    provider.xml of portletreceive.jsp:
    <inputParameter class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultParameterDefinition">
    <name>sno</name>
    <displayName>Input Parameter #1</displayName>
    </inputParameter>
    Also i did the necessary changes in parameters and events tab as well.
    I cant sorted out what is the mistake i did.
    The scenario i need is on clicking the link it should display the details in a new page.
    Can anybody please help me.
    Thanks in advance

  • Pass parameters into iBot?

    Hi,
    We are trying to use iBots to generate a set of PDF files for many different parameter combinations. Is it possible to pass parameters (like a parameter file) into an iBot and have it run the same answers request for each row in the parameter file, and then save the PDF output to a local directory on the server? I think BI Publisher is better suited for this task but it is not an option for us right now.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    I guess I am unclear of how to automate this - I tried a simple java application from example I found on the web, calling a single Go URL, and it does not save in PDF format. Instead, I get a file with PDF extension but it's actually HTML content. The same code works if I call a direct URL to pdf file.
    Is there some way to automate these Go URLS within OBIEE?
    Here is the code I used if anyone is interested (doesn't seem to work with OBIEE though):
        public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
            URL u = new URL("http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Go&NQUser=Administrator&NQPassword=Administrator&Path=/shared/Sample%20Sales/Reports/History&Action=Print&Format=pdf");
            URLConnection uc = u.openConnection();
            String contentType = uc.getContentType();
            int contentLength = uc.getContentLength();
            if (contentType.startsWith("text/") || contentLength == -1) {
              throw new IOException("This is not a binary file.");
            InputStream raw = uc.getInputStream();
            InputStream in = new BufferedInputStream(raw);
            byte[] data = new byte[contentLength];
            int bytesRead = 0;
            int offset = 0;
            while (offset < contentLength) {
              bytesRead = in.read(data, offset, data.length - offset);
              if (bytesRead == -1)
                break;
              offset += bytesRead;
            in.close();
            if (offset != contentLength) {
              throw new IOException("Only read " + offset + " bytes; Expected " + contentLength + " bytes");
            String filename = new String();
            filename = u.getFile();
            filename = u.getFile().substring(filename.lastIndexOf('/') + 1);
            filename = "obieetest.pdf";
            FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream("output/" + filename);
            out.write(data);
            out.flush();
            out.close();
        }

  • Passing parameters in a html page using xwd_tmppg.create

    We are in the initial stage of Developing a OLAP Web Application using
    Oracle Express Web Agent 6.3.2,Oracle Express Administrator6.3.2.
    Flow of our screens are:-
    We have a login screen that authenticates user entry to access his assigned role screen.Based on the role the user selects we will be listing out the analysis in a screen that the user could access.
    Express Programs are used to create Role and Analysis screen.
    User logged information is passed from login to role screen and to
    analysis screen using XWD_APPPG.CREATE that accepts parameters.
    Moreover this function can only be used to create html page with out
    data views.
    Now let us come to our problem-
    We need to take the user from analysis screen to detailed data view screen that shows the OLAP cube with a back & exit button.As explained earlier you need to use the function XWD_TMPPG.CREATE to create dataview.It is not possible to pass parameters through this function.This function accepts .html as the only parameter.But we need to pass the userid info to get back to analysis screen for the user to select the next analysis.I need the user logged info available in the template file.
    Is there any solution for this problem or any other approach to capture the user logged info in the template file???

    Hi Aneel,
    Thanks for your informative suggestion on how to receive data from
    previous page on to the template page using LOCATION.SEARCH.SUBSTRING
    function.
    I could very successfully get the userid information by implementing
    this method within the SCRIPT boundary.
    I also want to pass this value to a express program embedded
    within the <!--EXPRESS call foot(userid)--> so that it will enable the
    user to go back to List of analysis page.her my footer program will
    inturn call the Analysis Page with the userid information.That's my
    whole idea.
    I tried the following methods to acieve my end result-
    1)Tried to store the value in a local variable in the template & passed
    it to the express program -- Error thrown was "userid is not attached in
    the database"
    2)Directly specifed location.search.sunstring in the express program..
    Still the same error was thrown
    3)Thought of storing the value in the name of hidden object .Still this
    will not work out because i need to declare the object in the FORM..
    Moreover the value is avialable wihin the JAVA SCRIPT range.Out of this
    range template is not able to identify this value.
    Any idea Aneel form your end.
    Can you let me know how to use hidden object in achieving the result.
    I have been working very hard for quite sometime.
    Advance thanks.

  • Passing parameters to SAP Transaction iView

    Hi,
    We have a SAP Transaction iView (for ERP transaction SWK3) which works fine in our 7.0 portal using the following Application Parameters value:
    P_CATID=BO&P_TYPEID=BUS2089&P_INSTID=<Request.P_INSTID>
    At runtime, the parameters set with constant values are passed (i.e. P_CATID and P_TYPEID) successfully from the iView, while the url invoking the iView contains parameter P_INSTID which is dynamic (called from another iView).
    For example, this may look as follows:
    ?P_INSTID=000614330000120800
    Since we have upgraded to portal 7.4, the NWA log shows the following error for this process suggesting this is not a valid method of passing parameters any more.
    om.sapportals.portal.appintegrator.ApplicationIntegratorException: Unable to process template 'P_CATID=BO&P_TYPEID=BUS2089&P_INSTID=<Request.P_INSTID>', because 'P_INSTID' is an invalid terminal property of context 'Request.'.
    Please can you advise how to overcome this error for the dynamic parameter.
    Thanks,
    Alan

    Hi Alexander,
    Apologies for the late reply, I've been on an extended period of annual leave.
    I've checked back on my notes and we retained the Application Parameters iView setting exactly as I state above but I had to ask our Java developer to explicitly add the static parameters P_CATID and P_TYPEID to the dynamic URL call to launch the iView.
    So for example, an example URL would be:
    ... ivu.view_trip?sap-config-mode=true?P_CATID=BO&P_TYPEID=BUS2089&P_INSTID=000614330000120800
    This cured the problem though I'm unsure whether it is still essential that the static parameters need to exist in the iView configuration. We had many issues at that moment in time I was just pleased to find a solution.
    Good luck!
    Alan
