Java problem [build 5]
java problem
Well my latest build of java stopped working after Tuesday's Microsoft updates. I cant believe those updates are connected as to why this java build 5 should have stop working like that as the Standard Edition, v 1.4.2_08 (J2SE)works fine
Any ideas anyone as to why this should have happened

We have basically the same issue when we try to create the interpreter using the embedded method..
I was able to use the interpreter embedded in a java client as long as the weblogic jars were located in a weblogic install if I tried to use them from a maven repository no luck at all...
All of this worked easily in 9.2 now in 10.3 it seems more error prone and less documented.
I have seen close to a 100 posts on issues related to this so is there a document which outlines specifics....
We / I have used weblogic now for almost 10 years and moving from 8.1 to 9.2 was painful and we expected the move from 9.2 to 10.3 not to be soo bad but its proving to be as painful if not more painful than moving to 9.2. We seem to spend a good bit of our time working around issues in the next new release that were not in the previous one..
Any help would be appreciated I think we will open a support case but even that is more painful...

PS: We confirmed that all jars in the startweblogic classpath were in the startup. The server we have the embedded wlst instance is a managed server and we are using the component in a war... Are there any restrictions which we are unaware of.

Problem building BDBXML in Solaris 10
Hi,
I'm trying to build BDBXML in Solaris 10 to produce 64 bit libraries (Sun Fire T1000 server).
I use the build script as follows :
./buildall.sh -p solaris -b 64 -c cc -x CC -m /usr/sfw/bin/gmake with-dbxml-prefix=/usr/local/BerkeleyDBXML.2.2 with-berkeleydb-prefix=/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.3 with-pathan-prefix=/usr/local/pathan with-xerces-prefix=/usr/local/xerces with-xquery-prefix=/usr/local/xquery.1.2 enable-java
The build terminates with an error :
"/downloads/dbxml-2.2.13/pathan/include/pathan/internal/StringPool.hpp", line 75:Error: The function "memcpy" must have a prototype.
1 Error(s) detected.
Another problem I noticed is, though I specified -b 64 option in the build script, it produces 32 bit
BerkleyDB library. It produces xerces library as 64 bit.
Please help me.

After we received no response to this thread, I tried addressing the issue through our account rep, and we provided all the information requested (along with the fixes we could make):
"I'm working with our product engineers on this, and they have asked to find out the compiler being used, and flags being passed to the buildall.sh script, along with full output of the build (which will include the error messages)."
After that, nothing, despite repeated followup on my part including an offer of an admin login on our server, and repeated promises by Oracle to have a Sleepycat developer work with us directly on this issue. Responses from the (unpaid) eXist developers on their mailing list take hours, not months, by comparison. So you'll please excuse the opinions I formed as a result of this experience, my comment at cafe.elharo.com was not made lightly. We tried 2.3.10 and had the same problems btw. -

I've been trying to evaluate BDB XML 2.3.8 for use on a new project for the last couple of days. I was able to build on Windows with no trouble but have been having trouble getting a working build on Solaris.
By any chance is there a binary build available? All I'm trying to do is get the necessary libraries so that I can include them with a Java program.
Anyhow, here are the problems I'm having getting it to build. I'd greatly appreciate any help that can be offered.

Our sysadmins have a bunch of the GNU tools installed in /tools/GNU/bin, to get the build to run to completion I had to create a symlink to the make that was in there and then ensure the symlink was in my path first so that version of make was used.

Error Code 16 on Mac with Newly-Installed Yosemite (a Java problem?)
Like many out there I am unable to use CS6 applications at all after an OS update to Yosemite (in my case from 10.8.5, on my 2012 iMac). I get an Error 16 message, and a Java problem error message.
I've read many posts about fixing this issue, including the Adobe gospel very specific to this problem—about changing the permissions in a couple of folders—, which I found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error-cs5.html I did exactly as directed and saw no change in the problem.
I also read that the Java version necessary for CS6 products to run on Yosemite is a boondoggle in itself. Java 6 is apparently necessary for CS6 products to run, but that version is insecure, and besides, it's old. Java 8 Build 31 is the current and safe version but it apparently is incompatible with none but the most recently-updated Adobe products. Several posts on Adobe's support pages suggest a hacky fix for this Java issue, which involves downloading and installing the latest Java version from Oracle, and then creating specifically-named empty folders on one's hard drive within a couple of obscure System/Library/Java folders:

I did this too, and again saw no change in the problem.
Re-installing my CS6 suite has not worked, either. I receive the same error code message when starting up any of the applications. At this point I've been forced to go back to my previous operating system, since I am heavily reliant on CS6 to do my work each day.
I understand that many people are having this trouble after updating to Yosemite, and more than a few posts on these forums indicate this is true even for people like me who've followed Adobe's purported fix that I linked above. Has anyone in userland or at Adobe found anything lately that could help here?uninstall cs6 and clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6).

Thanks.Well, the problem is caused by the fact that BPEL does not yet support soapenc:Array types. We've created a workaround by defining two Services, one that has only single returntypes and one that has the multiple returntypes (which are defined using soapenc:Array). There are other solutions, but those are very complicated. Hope this helps!

Problems building the sample Apps for JSF
I m trying to build the sample Apps provided as part of the JWSDP 1.3 for jsp after making some changes.
The JSF tutorial says to run tne "ant" command after making changes to the build.properties file.
The problems i am facing are:
1. It says to specify the username/passowrd . I do not see anything like that in build.properties.
2. For building it says to excute "ant" command. But that comes back with errors just specifying the usage which is similar to java usage. I have set all the variables like JSF_HOME, ANT_HOME, JWSDP_HOME etc to the correct values..
Can anyhelp me by pointing me to how to rebuild these samples..
BTW i am using the Tomcat that cam bundled with JWSDP 1.4

SJI also had some problems building the examples. As I use WinXP, I can't really help unfortunately. But I would like to mention, that a stand-alone JSF EA Version wouldl be great and definitely make it easier for newbies to get contac to this technology.
Another recommendation would be to have a jsf-blank.war, that contains all necessary libs, config files, etc. without references to other downloads. This way I am sure, that many people more would be fascinated.
I guess that JSF will be available as such a standalone version in the end, but it would also be nice to have it right now, even as an EA.

I'm trying to generate Java Proxies for SAPJCO using the SAP Java Connectivity Builder (JCB). I got it from the NetWeaver 6.20 Release. The tool installs and runs properly but after putting in the connection properties and klicking "next", the application hangs. When activating System output, I get the error shown below.
I already tried to put all jar files contained in the C:\JBuilder5\lib\ext directiry into the classpath (but none of them contains the class mentioned).
Which is the right (standalone) tool for generating Java Proxies for a standalone Java application?
If it is JCB, is there a bug on the version I use (NetWeaver Release 6.20)?
Any help would be apreciated.

1) Can you check the class path you have mentioned is correctly
2) Setting of the Java in your system ( Desk top /Lap top ) check the Proxy settings
3) Re start the J2EE engine in the server

Problems building a stand alone application with LV 8.6.1.
I'm having problems building a stand alone application with LV8.6.1. I'm using a USB- 6008 DAQ and USB-6501 Digital device in the application. I already have an simple executable on the machine so the Run time Engine is already installed. For the USB DAQ device, I assume I need to include the DAQmx8.8 as one of the installers. When I attempt to build the application, I'm prompted for several disk, one being a distribuition disk 1. I have the installation disk for the developer package. I did not see a distribuiton disk as one of the installation disks. When I insert disk 1 I get an error that another application is trying to run. Could someone tell me which installers I need to include and where do I find the "distributor" disk.

you just need to use drivers CDs (comes with LabVIEW) from which you installed on this PC. If you have ever upgraded drivers, then you have to use the latest CDs only.......
another issue may be ...when u insert the driver disk, it has autorun, it will launch drivers installation wizard....close that and then try to build distribution.........

JTable displays string in wrong order : my code problem or Java problem ?
I have the following code that displays data in a JTable, most of the time it works fine, but I've realized when I have a cell with values like : "Snowboarding"+"[123456789]"
It would display it as : [Snowboarding[123456789
For a string like : "Chasing toddlers"+"<123456789>"
It would display it as : <Chasing toddlers<123456789
It not only moved the last bracket to the front, but also changed its direction from "]" to "[" and from ">" to "<"
Is there anything wrong with my code ? Or is this a Java problem ?

Hi,
I have following problem:
I created 2 BPEL processes.
One of these processes should be called from the other as a partnerlink.
When I create the partnerlink, pointing to the deployed wsdl, I get following error "Problem building schema" when I try to access the input variable that was created by the invoke activity.
I have tried a lot of things but keep on getting this error.
When I create a new, empty BPEL process, and do exactly the same it does work!

Here is what I have to do:
Write program segments that accomplish each of the following:
1. Calculate the integer part of the quotient when integer a is divided by integer b.
2. Calculate the integer remainder when integer a is divided by integer b.
3. Use the program pieces developed in a) and b) to write a method displayDigits that receives an integer between 1 and 99999 and prints it as a series of digits, each pair of which is separated by two spaces. For example, the integer 4562 should be printed as
4 5 6 2.
4. Incorporate the method developed in c) into an applet that inputs an integer from an input dialog and invokes displayDigits by passing the method the integer entered. Display the results in a message dialog.

Hi all,
I use BPEL Designer 10.1.2.0.2 and encounter the following problem:
I built a web service based on the Oracle Toplink How To demo. The web service has one published method that returns a custom 'Customer' object.
I deployed the web service on my localhost (AS 10.1.3)
In my BPEL process, I create a partnerlink based on the WSDL that was generated by JDeveloper and let BPEL Designer create a local copy.
Then I created an invoke and had the wizard create in- and output variables for the invoke.
When I select either the input- or output variable in the structure pane, I get an error message when I click on the 'parameters' entry. The message shown is 'Exception - problem building schema!'
When I check the 'show detailed node information' box no additional info is shown!
Any Idea what might go wrong?

The problem is that I'm trying to transform this message in BPEL/ESB but the mapper does not understand the schema as described in the WSDL and will not let me do 'for-each' or 'if' actions on the collections of addresses for example.
I've tried injecting my own WSDL into the EJB3 web service through annotations, but it will not compile....
Can anybody help????

i have 10.6 and the latest download of java. I am trying to run Scottrader Streaming quotes and it locks up constantly/ Tech support suggest it is a java problem and i have a bad instalition of jave which i do not understand as software update installed it for me. the problem is that the java application will suddenly stop running/ any ideas? scottrade suffested reinstalling java. ig that is needed how do i unstall java?
If Java functions at all, then it is not apt to be an issue with the Java installation. There's really no such thing as a "bad installation of Java". Java will run or it will crash. Lock-ups are generally the result of application errors or communication errors (e.g., it's waiting on a responsed from a server that never comes).
You can reinstall Java using Pacifist and your restore DVD. I doubt that it will be worth your time, however. -
Problem building schema in provider ABCS

I imported AccountWSEndPointCRMOnDemand from AIA_HOME\PIP to my jdeveloper(10.1.3.4).but i am getting problem building schema error for one of the partnerlinks.nothing is getting dispalyed if i click on 'show detailed node information'.
I took that wsdl & created a sample bpel which works perfectly fine but with the actual PIP bpel its not working.I pasted the link in IE, it shows the contents corretly.
Please advice!
