Java Proxy - Libraries in EAR File

Hello
I am developing some Java Proxies with the NWDS. For these mappings i need to reference some jars required by the Java Proxies
aii_proxy_xirt.jar
aii_msg_runtime.jar
aii_utilxi_misc.jar
guidgenerator.jar
does anyone know how to include these libraries in NWDS so that they don't appear in the EAR archive, because every time I build the EAR these libraries are also put into the ear (but they should not be there because they are available on the J2EE engine, and if they are left inside the EAR classloading problems appear). And it is exhausting to always 'repair' the EAR before deploying.

  • Sort order in Java application (oc4j container) -- ear file deployment

I have a Java application deploy in Oracle OC4J container (EAR file).
In my Java application (jsp), I have a SQL statement who return data but the
sort order is wrong. The letters "é" and all characters with accents
appears at the end of the result.
I tried many things to change the sort order (NLS parameters in database
    and OAS10g parameter files).
When I use SQL*plus on database server, that's working.
The sort order is wrong when I use the java application.
Somebody can tell me what and where is the NLS parameters to change ?
    Thanks
    Robin

    Robin,
I'm only guessing, but it could either be related to the java locale or the CHARSET attribute of the HTML header -- and nothing to do with the NLS parameters.
Maybe you should try the Globalization Support forum?
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

I guess, that you have Java proxy libraries in the EAR file. Remove them before deploying.

  • Java proxy and EAR file in NDS

    Hi,
I'm new in java and also proxy development and I need some help
I have followed the pdf how to create java proxies in 3.0.
    But i have some doubts:
Must I delete aii*.jar libraries from the EAR create?
I have no other .jar archive in that .ear... why? I suppose that is not correct and why my EJB module .jar is not included?
    Thanks
    carme,

    Hi, Shabarish
I have followed the same steps point out in this two blogs.
I recreated all my EJB project and application.
The EAR file created only contains:
    guidgenerator.jar
    aii_utilxi_misc.jar
    aii_proxy_xirt.jar
    aii_msg_runtime.jar
    sda-dd.xml
    application-j2ee-engine.xml
    application.xml
    Sap_manifest.mf
    Manifest.mf
and also a file WITHOUT NAME and size 0.
    That is not correct... right?

  • How to install JAVA API client files :: Using JAVA Proxy & NWDS

    Hi
I am going to integrate the SAP with one "AB" System which is providing Java API to integrate with their client ( which in turn will connect with AB System ). So AB System is providing JAR files & property files, in order to instantiate objects & call those APIs.
Now I am going to write the JAVA code in NWDS which is installed on my Laptop so I am sure I need to give this jar files under ::
<i>Project -> Properties and then Java Build Path -> Libraries.
    Choose Add External JARs</i>
But where do I need to add property files.
Also do I need to install the same files on XI Server too & do I need to install the "AB" System Client also on XI Server or it can be installed some place else too.
    Regards
    - Lalit -

    Lalit,
    ><i>But where do I need to add property files</i>
How are you going to access the properties file? Are you going to use Java IO to read the file or are you dgoing to bundle the property file as a resource and use the getResource() . If you are going to use Java IO then you will have to hard code the property file path in your code and make sure that your Proxy can read the property file.
If your property file is going to vary across environments, I woudl suggest this approach. Make sure that the property file path will be same in all environments and it will work fine and make sure that your proxy will have OS level IO access as well.
Another option would be to have the property file bundled as a respurce, but, making changes to the file in this case will be an issue!
    ><i>Also do I need to install the same files on XI Server too & do I need to install the "AB" System Client also on XI Server or it can be installed some place else too.</i>
When you create the EAR file for your Java Proxy, remove all XI .jar files and just make sure that the Client JAR is available in the EAR file. You need not install the Client JAR file anywhere as long as the jar file is a part of the EAR!

    Hi,
         Thanks for your input..
I have also opend the EAR as ZIP file and deleted the existing listing libaries
apart from the actual implementing Jar and META-INF folder.
I have tried deploying the Jar for the second time, it is throwing the same error.
What I did is...Once the EAR is created, I went to Resource perspective in NWDS and copied the EAR from the EAR project and used the same for deployment.
Is there is anything else to be modified or deleted before deployement?

  • Reading Java files from a EAR file

I want to read all Java files from a EAR file and from inner (inside EAR) EAR or WAR file with out unpacking.
suppose "Demo.ear" contaions the following files:
    abc.java
    programs / a.java
    programs / b.java
    src / index.java
    src / com / myFolder / main.java
    src.war
and suppose "src.war" again contains some java files inside differenet folders.
The main problem is that i can read all java files from "Demo.ear" but unable to reading from "src.war" b'coz my program is using JarFile class constructor which needs a archive file path, So only top level archive having the path but not the inner archives.
So, pls help me out to this problems
    Thanks in advance

Maybe you can use java.util.zip.ZipInputStream to
open the Ear and recursively to open the files in
it; I'm not sure whether this will result in a full
unpacking of the file in some temporary directory,
    though.
Please let me know if it worked the way you wanted,
I'm curious about it.This jerk just created the third thread about the same topic, because he didn't understand your suggestion, which I already provided earlier.

  • How to run ear file in java application server

i want how to run .ear file in java application server
    1. i m created ear file
    2. i m created jar file (bean,home,remote)
3.i m created war file(in the form of jsp)
but till now i couldnt run ear file
    how to run
    please hel me

    You must create :
    1.Jar file
    2.War file
And then put them into an ear file
    Exemple : myapp.ear contains
    myappEJB.jar
    myappWEB.war
    META-INF/application.xml
and application.xml looks like this :
    <application xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" version="1.4"

  • Passing File sender adapter paylaod to Java Proxy

I have scenarion that I am getting files from a file adapter and I am not using "File Content Conversion" so file adapter is not converting into any dataType I created for this Scenario to run. The receiver is the Java Proxy as you know the java proxies has input as the MessageType. since we are not mapping incoming file content to any message types then java proxies will not receive the actual Payload.
Question is, How is pass this file content to Java Proxies.
    Appreciate your help.
    thanks,
    laxman

    hi,
if you want to put the whole message then you
    try this:
    - put the whole file into one field (with content conversion)
    - then map this one field to one of the fields
fo the java proxy and insinde the java proxy
you will have access to the whole not converted message

  • Including helper classes in java proxy jar file

I must not be using the right header search criteria because I'm sure this question
has been asked before. In a Web Service File (.jws) I've imported a couple of
helper classes that function as data transfer objects. I did this to maintain
consistency with other portions of the application. The Java Proxy jar file generated
by Workshop does not include these files. Is there a way of including these dependencies
or do I need to distribute another jar file with my helper classes?

I was able to successfully run both the autotype and clientgen Ant task, on the
WSDL you provided. The code behind those Ant tasks are pretty much what the WebLogic

    to try with that version.

    Enumeration e=jarFile.entries();
    while (e.hasMoreElements())
    JarEntry entry=(JarEntry)e.nextElement();
    if (entry.getName().endsWith(".war"))
// Then what Next to do...........
    ===========================================
you have mentioned "theFile" , What is this?...............
    InputStream in = theFile.getInputStream(theEntryOfTheWAR);
This line is not a compatible type casting in Java..........
    ZipOutputStream theWar = new ZipInputStream(in);
