Java SE 1.4 client to call a web service JAX-WS

Hello,
I have an application running on Weblogic 8 (supports JAX-RPC) and jdk 1.4. This application has to call a web service running on another application which runs on Weblogic 10 (JAX-WS) and jdk1.5
Is there any JAX-WS implementation that help me generate a client that runs on jdk 1.4?
Thanks in advance,
Javi

Hi,
I think WS RM adapter can be used for the webservice proxy in SAP ECC.
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b00bbb77-75bc-2a10-6b9a-a6f8161515a6
Above link can you give some idea. Here it is point to point one with in SAP. In target side you can make it as file.

  • Get client ip address from Web Service hosted on OAS 10.1.2

    Hi,
    Can anyone advice how to get the client IP from a web service (java) hosted on Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.
    The below code works if the web service is hosted on Tomcat.
    MessageContext msgCtxt = MessageContext.getCurrentMessageContext();
    String IP = (String)msgCtxt.getProperty("REMOTE_ADDR");
    This code is causes built errors on the OAS 10.1.2 since it needs Axis and many other Jars. I tried to insert the jars needed but unfortunately when i was able to compile it returned a java.lang.NullPointerException.
    Is there a way to get the IP address of the client that calls this web service ?
    Or is there a way to read the SOAP request maybe i can retrieve the client IP from it.
    Thanks for your support,
    regards

  • Calling a web service through SSL via a stand alone java class

    HI,
    I am trying to call a web service through SSL via a simple stand alone java client.
    I have imported the SSL certificate in my keystore by using the keytool -import command.
    Basically I want to add a user to a group on the server. Say I add a user user 1 to group group 1 using an admin userid and password. All these values are set in an xml file which I send to the server while calling the server. I pass the web service URL, the soap action name and the xml to post as the command line arguments to the java client.
    My xml file(Add.xml) that is posted looks like :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope
    xmlns:xsi = "http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns:SOAP-ENC = "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"
    xmlns:SOAP-ENV = "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns:xsd = "http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema"
    SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle = "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    <namesp1:modifyGroupOperation xmlns:namesp1 = "/services/modifyGroup/modifyGroupOp">
    <auth>
    <user>adminUser</user>
    <password>adminPassword</password>
    </auth>
    <operationType>ADD</operationType>
    <groupName>group1</groupName>
    <users>
    <userName>user1</userName>
    </users>
    </namesp1:modifyGroupOperation>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    I call the client as:
    java PostXML https://com.webservice.com/services/modifyGroup "/services/modifyGroup/modifyGroupOp" Add.xml
    I my client, I have set the following:
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore", "C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jre1.5.0_12\\lib\\security\\cacerts");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword", "password");

    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", "password");

    Hi jazz123,
    There's an example in the [*Java Web Services Tutorial*|http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/2.0/tutorial/doc/] : see Chapter 1: Building Web Services with JAX-WS - A Simple JAX-WS Client.

  • Calling a web service from a Java application

    Does anyone have sample code showing how to call a web service over from a Java application? I'm deploy to HP-UX and seeking out the most standard and reliable approach.
    Thank you in advance.

    Keith,
    Download JWSDP 1.2, look at the tutorial for JAXRPC, especially
    the client portion.

    Hi Sebastien,
    The wsclient sample loads only a minimal set of SOAP and related jar files to the database required to get the sample working. The SSL related classes may not get resolved correctly, but as the sample does not use these,
    you should still be able to proceed with the setup.
    Can you continue with the configuration steps and let me know if you still face any problems in bringing up the application ?

  • Calling a web service from a servlet via stub: java.lang.reflect.Invocation

    Hi all, I'm developping my first web application using Apache Tomcat and Axis, using servlets, jsp and web services.
    My problem is that I cannot make any call to my web service (a very simple one) because I get the following exception:
    <code>

    AxisFault
    faultCode: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Server.userException

    at org.apache.axis.encoding.DeserializationContext.endElement(DeserializationContext.java:1087)
    </code>
    The stack trace is longer than that, but I didn't find any hints to solve the problem.
    The exception is thrown for every method of the web service:

    public java.lang.String[] getMessage(java.lang.String , int) throws java.rmi.RemoteException
    public boolean addMessage(java.lang.String, java.lang.String, int)

    I'm using stub to call the web service, as generated by wsdl tool.
    Can someone help me?
    Thanx
    PS: sorry for the double message but I pressed the wronk key at the wrong time :)

  • Calling a Web Service from Java

    Our java guru (who is out sick....AHHHH) created all the calls that are needed to access the web service that he has running. For example the call getLongList(String user, String password) will return a list of all outstanding transactions. He made a jar file that has service has class files for PortType, Service, Service Locator and Soap Binding stub.
    How do I call this web service from java? Do I have to import it into my classpath? or just call these parameters from within my java code?

  • Calling a Web Service from Java Webdynpro

    Hi,
    Can any one give me step by setp details on how to call a Web Service from Java Webdynpro ?
    I tried creating a model using Import Web Service Model but when I completed creating the model, I got some errors as shown below.
    Error               The method setRouteGeometryLineArray(double[][]) in the type Trip is not applicable for the arguments (double[])     ComplexType_Trip.java     WS_INVOKE/gen_wdp/packages/com/cintas/test/model/p1     line 249

    SBK

    Hi SBK,
    I assume you may already have read the [help guide|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/81/12703e5da3e946e10000000a114084/content.htm] This gives a pretty good idea of how to do it (step by step).
    Is there a typo in the error you pasted?
    Error The method setRouteGeometryLineArray(double][) in the type Trip is not applicable for the arguments (double[]) ComplexType_Trip.java WS_INVOKE/gen_wdp/packages/com/cintas/test/model/p1 line 249
    The square brackets [] after double in the method call appear to be reversed. Is that also in the code? or just a mistake here?
    Hope this points you in the right direction.
    BRgds,
    Simon

    Hello I have the same problem, were you able to execute the WS through the JS code now?
    I would like to call an ABAP WS using JavaScript to return complex structures that I would like to manage directly with JS.
    I tried with this code and I get the error "RaiseError: Acrobat Raise." when the request is executed:
    var WSUrl = "http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_4D15C75529330AF1E10000000A150429/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=500";
    var VendorNumber = xfa.form.DATA.DATAFLOW.SF_HEADER.VENDOR_NUMBER.rawValue;
    try {
    // Create request structure, read Input out of text field
    var request = {
              "urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style:ZWsTest" : {ILifnr: VendorNumber}
    SOAP.wireDump = true;
    // Call web service using SOAP object
    var response = SOAP.request ({
            cURL: WSUrl,
            oRequest: request
    //        cAction: "urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style"
    } catch (e) {
        xfa.host.messageBox(e.toString()); //pop-up "TypeError:service.CelsiusToFahrenheit is not a funciton"
    with this other code I get the error "SOAPError: CX_ST_MATCH_ELEMENT:XSLT exception.System expected element 'ILifnr'":
    try {
        var myProxy = SOAP.connect(WSUrl);
        var result = myProxy.ZWsTest( { ILifnr: VendorNumber } );
        xfa.form.DATA.DATAFLOW.SF_HEADER.E_DESCRIPTION.rawValue = result;
    // Display the response in the console:
       console.println("Result is " + result);
    } catch (e) {
        xfa.host.messageBox(e.toString()); //pop-up "TypeError:service.CelsiusToFahrenheit is not a funciton"
    in the second option, if I make the field ILifnr optional the call is succesfully performed but the parameter is not passed to the WS. So the call is working.
    Using stand-alone LiveCycle designer 8.1 and Adobe Reader 8
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks,
    G.

    Does any one have insights about it?

    Hi Swapna,
    from your screenshot it seems that you actually try to call the service in your Data Source Expression field. You should set path to the WSDL file here actually - this could be either URL to SAP or to filesystem, as Anton suggested (this could be faster). Have you created endpoint binding for your service in transaction SOAMANAGER? If yes, then simply download the corresponding WSDL with binding or copy the URL which leads to it. But also test whether you are able to retrieve the WSDL without logging into SAP (close all browser windows and then open a new one otherwise session ID from other browser windows can be reused).
    If you have to give username and password, then setup anonymous alias in transaction SICF, for example.
    Pleas, check my previous post on the same subject here: Re: BCM7 IVR : SOAP request for client identification in CRM .
    Maybe it could help.

    Dawood.

  • QName error while calling a web service from Sourcing

    I need to call a web service from Sourcing script. The web service team has provided us the WSDL and I have generated the required stubs using wsimport and packaged the required java classes in a custom JAR. Now while calling a web method using this jar from my script, I am getting and exception. The exception message that I printed out was this:
    Caught exception e with msg Connection IO Exception. Check nested exception for details. (Connection
    IO Exception. Check nested exception for details. (Connection Exception; nested exception is:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: cannot create QName from "null" or "" String).)
    The same jar and same code works fine when called from a standalone java program.
    I am not using or creating QName anywhere in my script. The only place where QName is used is in the generated java class and there it is created from the correct namespace URL
    Can anyone please help me out in figuring out what is the issue?

  • What's a lightweight method to call a web service from an applet?

    So, writing web service clients in java is pretty easy these days using the JAX-RPC library. Problem is in an applet you want it to load fast. I need my applet to call a web service, but don't want to include all the 'baggage' that comes along with JAX-RPC. It looks like you need XML libraries for JAX-RPC stuff to run, and those are huge jar files (many megabytes). I want a lightweight way to call web services. They are my own web services, so I don't need a general solution. There's got to be a way to just form a soap message and use http to send it. It seems like that has been done already.
    On a related note. I will be passing byte arrays as parameters, so if I do try and form my own SOAP XML message, how are byte typically encoded into these messages?
    Thanks a bunch for any suggestions.
    Mike

    The scripting prompt is due to locally installed WebHelp. If you put it on a server, it should work fine. (Or try to enable Mark of the Web for your output.)
    The problem with CSH not working is probably because the CSH is not enabled in the output. In the single source layout settings, make sure that all your map files are selected:
    The easiest way I see it to create a simple API yourself. (We did it for Delphi and C# and it took about ten minutes.) You can just create a URL and feed it to the default browser. If you want to be able to load new help calls in the same tab, you will have to hook into the browser somehow.
    The URL's are really easy to create. See http://www.wvanweelden.eu/article-category/context-sensitivity for a complete overview of all your options in HTML and WebHelp. If you want to call a CHM context sensitive look at the following article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/2bk8zwb3(v=vs.90).aspx

  • Help needed in calling a Web service

    Hi,
    I want to call a web service from my component. The called web service might have different names, therefore I don't want to use the proxy class way.
    I am facing problem in parsing the input parameters from the wsdl file. I have attached the wsdl file at the end.
    I am using the javax.wsdl.xml.WSDLReader(axis). I have been able to parse all the bindings, ports and messages but
    1. i am not able to parse the wsdl:types to obtain the input parameters
    //javax.wsdl.Operation op obtained from the port which alternatively obtained from Definition
    Message inputs = op.getInput().getMessage();
    Part part = null;
    // let's find the input params
    Map inputParts = inputs.getParts();
    // create the object array which Axis will use to pass in the parameters
    inputParams = new Object[inputParts.size()];
    s = inputParts.keySet();
    it = s.iterator();
    int i = 0;
    while(it.hasNext())
    part = (Part) inputParts.get(it.next());
    Afetr performing this, i have no clue as to how to parse the input parameters.
    2. How will i generate the java Objects array from these input parameters to pass to the Call.invoke function, i.e.
    Call call = (Call) service.createCall();
    call.setOperation(portQN, operationName);
    Object ret = (Integer) call.invoke(inputParams);
    The function takes an object[] as input but since i have complex types involved in wsdl, so how will this object array needs to be populated
