  • Fusion Order Demo zip file which works with JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0

    Hi,
    Please can anyone tell me where to find the Fusion Order Demo zip file that will work with JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 (latest version 13/5/10).
    I have downloade OracleXE 10g for Windows on my laptop and now want to create the Fusion Schemas (Tables/Schemas/Procedures etc) for the Demos.
    I have downloaded FOD_11.zip, FusionOrderDemo_R1.zip and tryed the instructiion for running Fusion Order Demo here http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/jdev.html but each time I get the error
    "oracle.javacache_11.1.1 not found"
    How can I fix this?
    I want to learn Jdeveloper works and use it for Logical and Physical Schema mapping....
    Thanks
    BP

    Hey John,
    Thanks for the quick reply, and yes sir, I did follow those instructions.
    Let me describe what all I have done so far, maybe someone can figure out where I need to fix anything:
    I installed JDeveloper version 11.1.1.3.0, which came with its own WebLogic server, on my windows xp professional OS on my laptop.
    I then downloaded the zip file, FusionOrderDemo_R1PS2.zip.
    I encountered a problem while unzipping the file, where it was asking me some password for a few files, but Lynn from Oracle helped me figure that out....i had to use 7-zip utility to uninstall....windows default built-in unzip utility does not work.
    After unzipping all files, I followed the instructions given on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/index-095536.html to import, build and run the application....
    And now when it runs....it just open my browser window (IE 7), and shows a "loading..." image in the center of the page....nothing happens after that.
    Any idea what might be missing?
    a few major errors I see in the wls log window of jdeveloper are:
    1) <DCBindingContainer><reportException> [3952] oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.sql.SQLDataException, msg=ORA-01882: timezone region not found

    3) <UIXInclude><tearDownVisitingContext> Tear down of include component context failed due to an unhandled exception.java.util.NoSuchElementException
    Please help!

  • SQL Developer 3.0.04.34 ZIP file corrupted

    I have tried downloading SQL Developer(Windows 32 bit) numerous times with and without JDK and on multiple computers from Oracle.com, but every time I try to open the zip file it says that it is corrupted. Has anyone else experienced or know of an alternative download site?

    I have seen this several times.
    I bet you are trying to download from the office.
    There are certain firewalls that corrupt the file.
    Yes I know you can download other files and they work fine.
    Download it from home onto a flash drive and take it into the office.

    Hi.
    Definitely sounds like your file is corrupted. This should not be thecase. I downloaded this same file the other
    day and it installed ok for me. Try downloading once more (if you haven'talready done so). If you are still
    having problems then you should open a case with BEA support.
    Thanks,

  • ABAP- JAVA : How to unzip a zip file sent by ABAP

    Hello,
    We are using JCO to exchange the XML strings (File Sizes can range upto couple of MBs) between ABAP and JAVA. We were earlier using a STRING parameter for XML data exchange. This approach was resulting in huge performance overheads. As per our initial performance investigations, we have identified that time taken for XML exchange using JCO is the major bottlenecks.
    Currently we are evaluating Zip - Exchange - Unzip mechanism for XML exchange.
    We now try to ZIP the export content using following ABAP code:
          TRY.
              CALL METHOD cl_abap_gzip=>compress_text
                EXPORTING
                  text_in  = lv_xmlstring
                IMPORTING
                  gzip_out = ev_xmlstring.
    This returns an XSTRING (zipped) which is lesser in size as compared to the earlier xml STRING.For zipping the XML String this code works fine. But on java end on using the following code (for unzipping):
    public static String unzipStringFromBytes( byte[] bytes ) throws IOException
        ByteArrayInputStream bis = new ByteArrayInputStream(bytes);
        BufferedInputStream bufis = new BufferedInputStream(new InflaterInputStream(bis));
        ByteArrayOutputStream bos = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
        byte[] buf = new byte[1024];
        int len;
        while( (len = bufis.read(buf)) > 0 )
          bos.write(buf, 0, len);
        String retval = bos.toString();
        bis.close();
        bufis.close();
        bos.close();
        return retval;
    We get the following error:
    java.util.zip.DataFormatException: unknown compression method
         at java.util.zip.Inflater.inflateBytes(Native Method)
         at java.util.zip.Inflater.inflate(Inflater.java:215)
    Please share java code snippet which we can use in our program to retrieve our initial XML string.
    Best Regards,
    Aayush

    Hi,
    i took a sequence '0123456789' and gziped it with your ABAP code snipped.
    Result is in HEX:
    '33 30 34 32 36 31 35 33 B7 B0 04 00'
    Than i took an good old gzip executable and gzipped a text file with the same sequence in compression mode 6(default of ABAP Method).
    Result in HEX:
    '1F 8B 08 08 BA B1 D1 45 00 0B 31 2E 74 78 74 00'
    '33 30 34 32 36 31 35 33 B7 B0 04 00 C6 C7 84 A6'   <-- quiet similar with ABAP gzip data
    '0A 00 00 00'
    It seems that some gzip headers and trailers are missing from ABAP Processor's output, i don't know why, maybe it will help you to fake the file headers's to your data section: http://www.gzip.org/zlib/rfc-gzip.html
    Other topic is your Exception: java.util.zip.Inflater.inflate(Inflater.java:215)
    Inflater is used for ZLIB compressed files, try to pass your InputStream to an Object of [java.util.zip.GZIPInputStream] like:
    http://www.galileocomputing.de/openbook/javainsel6/javainsel_12_010.htm [Listing 12.29]

  • Validating Corrupted ZIP Files

    I need to validate zip files whether they are corrupted or not.
    Can anybody help me in validating zip files(corrupted or not).
    Thanks.
    Annapurna

    Jar-files are created by using a checksum. I think, this checksum is proofed, if you extract the jar-file by means of java. So there will be an exception if an entry of this file is corrupted.
    Have you had a look at the java-sources for finding out, if zip-files use the the same mechanism?

  • "zip" Terminal command no help fixing corrupt zip file; any other workarounds?

    I downloaded a ".zip" file containing some files that I need to access.
    When I double-click on it, I get the "Unable to unarchive 'xyz.zip' into '[foldername].' ( Error 1 - Operation not permitted )" message, which many people report when they try to open a corrupt zip file.
    I also tried opening the file with "StuffIt Expander," "Archive Utility," and "The Unarchiver," as well as some specialty zip-compression programs, but none were successful.
    I then installed the very useful "Archive.qlgenerator" plugin (http://homepage.mac.com/xdd/software/archive/) which allowed me to at least see inside the zip file using OSX's "QuickLook" feature. Lo and behold, all the files that were supposed to be in the zip file are indeed in there, as they should be. The problem is not that the zip file is empty, the problem is that it has become corrupted somehow.
    So, what I need to do is either "fix" the corrupted zip file, or alternately find some way to extract the needed files using brute force.
    Following tips given on various forums, I tried using OSX's "zip" command in terminal (http://homepage.mac.com/kelleherk/iblog/C1901548470/E731143104/index.html and http://hintsforums.macworld.com/showthread.php?t=132146). I was able to use it properly, but unfortunately neither the "-F" nor the "-FF" commands were of any helping in "fixing" the zip file. The "-F" command incorrectly said that the zip file was empty and that there was nothing to fix; the stronger "-FF" command came back with
    Could not find:
      xzy.z01
    Hit c      (change path to where this split file is)
        s      (skip this split)
        q      (abort archive - quit)
        e      (end this archive - no more splits)
        z      (look for .zip split - the last split)
    or ENTER  (try reading this split again):
    ...but none of the options produced any result. Pressing "z" gave me
    Could not find or open
      xyz.zip
    ...which means that even "-FF" could not get past whatever problem had corrupted the file.
    So: is there any built-in way for Mac OSX to fix or extract the contents of a zip file corrupted like this?
    Alternately, is there any third-party shareware or freeware that will do the trick?
    (I don't want to have to spend big $$$ on a commercial program since all I need to do is open a single zip file. And there is no way to contact the zip file's original creator, so I can't download an uncorrupted version.)
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Mark:
    When I try your first suggestion in Terminal ("unzip -t /path/to/file"), I get this message:
    Archive:  /xyz.zip
      End-of-central-directory signature not found.  Either this file is not
      a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive.  In the
      latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
      the last disk(s) of this archive.
    unzip:  cannot find zipfile directory in one of /xyz.zip or
            /xyz.zip.zip, and cannot find /xyz.zip.ZIP, period.
    When I try your second suggestion ("unzip -l /path/to/file"), I get the exact same error message. (And yes, I am fixing "/path/to/file" to be the correct path to the actual file).
    And no, it is not really part of a multi-part archive. (Or at least it wasn't supposed to be; only one zip file is available, and there was only supposed to one.) Perhaps the zip was mis-encoded in the first place, so that the person who created it accidentally did something wrong which the unzip applications are interpreting as this file being part of a multi-part archive; but even so, all I have is this one file, so I need to fix it as is, or extract its contents as is, since I have no way to contact the original creator to do it right this time.

    Hi Pricilla,
    You can go to http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/samples/fod/index.html and you will see a "FusionOrderDemo_R1PS2.zip" link.
    Or you can download it directly from the URL contained on that link, which is http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/jdeveloper/11.1.1.3.0/extensions/FusionOrderDemo_R1PS2.zip

    I have never created a zip file using Java . But from what i know about Winzip and Window Explorer, here's my takes on it:
    1. Winzip works with severals different compression algorithm 9including their own)
    2. Winzip has the ability to display the content of the zip file (if the zip file happens to be one of the compression algorithm they supported....otherwise, it's highly unlikely, winzip can even open the file)
    3. Window Explorer does not call Winzip to display the content of Winzip file. rather, Window Explorer has its own utility to look into the Winzip for files and display them. Note: they probably only do this for the popular compression algorith (such as Winzip .zip, probably .tar...but highly doubtful of the one that Java use to make a zip file).
    So..it's probably Window Explorer does not supports display that compression algorithm (the one Java use) for a Winzip file.
    Example...you created a new format for an image call .mypics
    Window Explorer can display a thumb nail for .bmp, .jpeg, and quite a few other
    You created an application to display the image. Now..in Window Explorer, when you click on the icon, the thumbnail of the pic is not display...this is because Window Explorer does not have a util to do thumbnail for that format.
