    Hi,
Please post the exact release of R12 along with the database version and OS.
Is this issue with specific notification? If yes, please mention the steps to reproduce the issue.
Was this working before? If yes, any changes have been done recently?
Can you find any errors in the Workflow log file?

  • Servlet error: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:

After deploying a JDeveloper .ear file to OAS, I try to run the jsp file from OAS and receive the following error:
    500 Internal Server Error
    Servlet error: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: lcfsreport.lcfsSearchReport
    _lcfsreport. = context root
_lcfsSearchReport = .jsp file to execute
I am new to JDeveloper and OAS and am flying blind, any help would be appreciated.

I've found other post concerning this very same issue and it appears there could be other issues involved than those pointed to by Oracle documentation.
Is there a direct way to check to see if my jsp's are generating with the version supported by oas 10.1.2?
I am beginning to understand the frustrations I hear with J2EE development and why many developers do not move to the latest J2EE versions.
I should have stuck with using old versions of JDeveloper, hind-sight is 20/20...

  • Servlet error: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: _ias._oc4j._redeploy

When I try to redeploy an EAR file to an existing OC4J container over an existing application EAR using the redeploy button, I get the following error:
    500 Internal Server Error
    Servlet error: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: ias.oc4j._redeploy
I am using Oracle Application Server 10g. I've tried doing the exact same thing from another PC and it worked. Any ideas what this could be caused by?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

I found a related post to check for the existence of ORACLE_HOME/sysman/webapps/emd/ias/oc4j/deployWiz/selectAppDest.uix, which exists on my box.
Another weird thing is that the exact same process of deploying from other PC's works. I don't understand how a ClassNotFoundException could get thrown due to some variation in client browser configuration. All client's involved, however, seem to be configured the same: IE 6, same corporate image default configuration, etc. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hello,
    sorry for the late reply.
I have installed Apex Listener.1.0.2.238.15.24 on Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g standalone (10.1.3.1.1) That's a pretty old version of OC4J, and a pretty old one of APEX Listener, too. Is there any reason for not choosing a more recent release?
Despite that, your OC4J might also be using an unsupported (and outdated) Java version. APEX Listener needs at least a JDK 1.6 Update 20.
Please check whether your OC4J is using an appropriate JDK.

HelloWorld.java can be compiled by using javac.
Once compiled, HelloWorld.class would be moved to the jservlets folder.
FYI, coding the above url-pattern results in:

The requested resource (/HelloWorldExample/servlet/jservlets.HelloWorld) is not available
The following url-pattern in the web.xml file permits the servlet to be executed but results in a null pointer exception:

  • Java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients.

We have some web services that run under OC4J 10.1.3.4. We have various JEE 'client' apps (JSF, servlets etc.) that use these web services. These JEE apps also run under OC4J.
We started a migration project from oc4j to weblogic 10.3.2. In phase 1 we want to move these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic. In phase 2 we want to move the web services themselves to weblogic with adjustments to the JEE 'client' apps as needed.
However we ran into an issue during this phase 1. Deploying these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic results in an error like this:
java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients. If you are attempting to run an OC4J 10.1.3 JAX-RPC client in WLS, please see the Web Service Migration Guide for instructions.
We are including Oracle web services client libraries (http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/1013/wsclient_extended.zip) in these JEE 'client' apps's war files because weblogic does not have them.
What part of Web Service Migration Guide is the above error message talking about? Do we have to re-generate the client side proxies for all these web services using weblogic's clientgen task in 'JAXRPC' mode? Many of these web services are doc/literal jax-rpc web services. Or does the migration guide recommend we migrate the web services first to weblogic? Any other specific information on working around this error message would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
I had the same issue but I just managed to fix it. You must upgrade and/or regenerate you proxy. This creates new classes (possibily in a new package) that you must use in your code. I had this error because the classes directory was not clean after the rebuild and the old classes (in the old package) were still present, so the compilation was successful with the old classes. So clean your classes directories, regenerate your proxy and use the new classes in your code.

    Sylvain

    Hi
You have to place the xml parsing library inside the lib directory under the WTK.
