Java/sql/Savepoint error

We recently upgraded to Showcase 7.1 which uses JDBC to query files on the AS400. Whenever I attempt to run an existing query I get the following message: "java/sql/Savepoint"
Any ideas on what might be happening?

but i have sdk 1.4 and my java_home is
c:\j2sdk1.4.2_08 but when i do java -version it says
java version 1.3.1_01.. and my path variable have c:
\j2sdk1.4.2_08\bin.... so what must i do to have java
version 1.4... if i have installed jdk 1.4.... ?Your PATH variable has a bunch of other directories in it too, no? Obviously one of those directories ahead of the \j2sdk1.4.2_08\bin directory must have version 1.3.1_01. My guess? It's probably in the \windows or \windows\system32 directory. I'd suggest you delete it from there (I don't know what installer puts it there, but it doesn't belong there).

    Hi All,
Am having serious problem with ORA-24327 and the behavior is very very unpredictable. I have couple of environment where the same error comes in different context. The recent one was surprising. I have describe bellow the environment configuration and the stack trace. The error which surprised me was when I use type 3 driver while starting weblogic I get ORA 24327 but when I use Type 4 it starts properly. If you could kindly provide solution it would be great help. I would also appreciate if u can provide information which driver to use where performance is the major concern. I would also appreciate if u could provide feed-back from the industry about booth the driver. Apart from that I have couple have environment where it occurs when 10/12 user access simultaneously. All the open connection is closed in program properly still am getting the error.
    Thanks in anticipation.

    Hi,
I guess you can try some of these:
    - Make sure you're not missing an entry inside your tnsnames.ora file. Thin driver does not require the information inside that file, as opposed to Weblogic's OCI driver. If you are able to connect to the DB using a thin driver, then the problem is most probably (WL)driver-related.
    - Make sure you've properly configured the DB user / password inside your weblogic.properties (config.xml if WL6+).
    - Make sure you're able to access all drivers and classes required (PATH, CLASSPATH, etc...)
    - Make sure the OCI driver version you are using is fully compatible with the Oracle (server) version you are pointing to.
    - Try to access the DB user through some other client (for instance, SQLPlus*).
Hope this is of some help,
    Freddy.

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause: No Password

I'm deploying an EJB Module with a CMP in SJAS from SJSE.
I get the following exception "java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause: No PasswordCredential found" the first time a CMP tries to connect to the MS SQL Server database.
I can connect through the Admin console (PING works fine) but this error hapens in runtime.
The datasource classname i'm using is "com.sun.sql.jdbcx.sqlserver.SQLServerDataSource" which is suggested by the SJSE.

If you are using Netbeans, then this link might help:

Otherwise, have you try this ?

any clues why I am getting this exception. I will send the code andthe weblogic

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Error accessing jdbc driver

    Hi,
We are using WebLogic Server 7.0 as Application Server.
We now create a connection pool named regPool and
    a Tx datasource named regDS.
When we get the connection from the datasource, exception occurred.
java.sql.SQLException: Error accessing jdbc driver: driverURL =
    jdbc:weblogic:pool:regPool, props = {enableTwoPhaseCommit=false,
    jdbcTxDataSource=true, connectionPoolID=regPool}
    at

    at weblogic.jdbc.jts.Driver.getNonTxConnection(Driver.java:377)
    at weblogic.jdbc.jts.Driver.connect(Driver.java:129)
    at
    weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.RmiDataSource.getConnection(RmiDataSource.java
    :265)
So I guess that why we can't use CMP for finding data. Here is the error when we call the finder.
javax.ejb.FinderException: Exception in findAllEmr while preparing or
    executing statement: 'null'
java.sql.SQLException: Cannot obtain connection after 30 seconds. ,
    Exception = Access not allowed
java.sql.SQLException: Cannot obtain connection after 30 seconds. ,
    Exception = Access not allowed
    at
    weblogic.jdbc.jts.Connection.wrapAndThrowSQLException(Connection.java:694)
According to the exception message, it looks
like the connection fail between WLS and Oracle 9.2.
Here is a scenario I think you should need to know.
    I change the table-name in the weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml
to a name that doesn't exist in the database.
Then, re-package the EJB, copy it to server and restart the server.
A exception occurred that says the table doesn't exist.
So, in this case, it looks like the datasource works and
    connection is fine.
    Any recommendation will be appreciated.

  • The import java.sql.Savepoint cannot be resolved

i am unable how to resolve this problem please anyone can help me about this

Which version of Java are you using? Class java.sql.Savepoint was introduced in version 1.4. If you're using an older version, it won't work.

  • Where can I get an implementation of the interface java.sql.Savepoint

    My hibernate app fails
    BUILD FAILED: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: java.sql.Savepoint"
I've no idea why it fails on one machine but passes on another, same JVM version, same hibernate version

same JVM versionSure? java.sql.Savepoint is Java 1.4+
Check both JRE and JDK, maybe you have a new JRE but an old JDK?

  • Java.sql.SqlRecoverableException error while querying the cube

    Hi
I get the following error when I try to query the cube from a Java program
java.sql.SqlRecoverableException: no more data to read from the socket.
This error occurs sometimes and sometimes it does not occur.
We observed that if many people simultaneously try to query the cube the error crops up.
Is this a bug or is there a solution or a method to deal with this sort of situation

That sounds like the connection to the database is not there, or was dropped. Check that you are not maxed out on the number of processes.

  • Java.sql.SQLException errors in Tomcat log

When bringing up a RoboHelp 8 help page using a URL like this:

    Hello All,

    connection = DriverManager.getConnection(source);

    This is the error:
An SQLException occurred: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement.
I cannot figure out what the syntax error is. Anyone have an insight on this for me? Most likely something easy that I am missing.
By the way this is for a connection to a MS Access database right now, should be converting to Oracle later on.
    Thanks!

Indeed, this is not a Java-related question at all.
The syntax of an SQL INSERT statement looks like this:
    INSERT INTO tableName(columnName1, columnName2, ...) VALUES(value1, value2, ...)
