JavaBean Can't Find Another JavaBean

I have a JavaBean -- ProcessLogin.java, that handles a the login process, it reads the username and password and verify them against the database. It is located on my hard drive directory
C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.3\webapps\examples\WEB-INF\classes\login
Now I want to access the database using connection pool. So I created another JavaBean -- ConPool.java, I compiled it and the class file (ConPool.class) was generated. These two files are located in
C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.3\webapps\examples\WEB-INF\classes\dbcon
So I added the following statements to ProcessLogin.java
import dbcon.*;
ConPool cp= new ConPool();
When I recompile ProcessLogin.java, I get the following error
ProcessLogin.java:59: Class login.ConPool not found.
Why did this happen? Your help is appreciated.
Jingkun

I also have this problem so I added the class
directory to my classpath and it will solve the
problem. Any other people have a solution? Other than
adding the path to the classpath?Building a J2EE webapp, even a small one, is such a delicate process with all kinds of class loaders and dependencies, that it can be really helpful to use a build script. Check out Ant, a utility designed specifically for this purpose:

  • Can I find another plug in instead of Adobes problem Flash player. Happy for any tip of an alternative.

    Adobe flash player has stop function. There is no way I can update it. Adobes update service say "the application already is running"
    So I got tired on trying.
    Now my question is - can I find another application so I can get Firefox Ok again.
    I need to watch my videos from the university.

    You don't have Flash installed, so it can't be running now.
    # Restart Windows.
    #Bring up Firefox, and install Flash from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ but before you install, uncheck the Security Scan Plus. It has nothing to do with Flash Player and such additional baggage during installation is known as crapware. Only install the Flash Player.
    #If the installation does not start use "Ctrl+J" to find the downloaded install and run it.
    #When the install actually begins in an installation window, bring Firefox down with "Alt+F" (File) > Exit.
    #If the installation does not proceed, then bring up the Windows Task Manager ("Ctrl+Alt+Del"), click on the "Processes" tab of the WTM and look for firefox.exe and plugins-container.exe and terminate if running.
    #When the installation completes, restart windows, then bring up Firefox
    #Check your Flash installation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ to show that you have the latest Flash installed. (don't press the play now button).
    #Check all of your Firefox plug-ins at http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/

  • My Back arrow is missing from my Firefox toolbar and I can't find another way to go back. How can I get it back?

    My "Back" arrow disappeared from my Firefox toolbar and I can't find a way to go back to a previous page. How can I get it back on?

    Hey kayo410,
    Sounds like they might have accidentally been removed from the toolbar. The toolbar can be customized pretty extensively, so it's not an uncommon mistake. Take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Back and forward or other toolbar items are missing]]. It will show you how to restore the buttons.
    Hopefully this helps!

    It should, since the one that came with my Zalman was slightly different than the stock MSI metal plate.  I don't think the Zalman would attach properly if you didn't use the metal plate that should have came with it.

  • Class can't find anothe class in same directory.

    Hi
    I'm using javac and appletviewer and I keep getting this strange reaction.
    I've got a couple of classes, one extends the other. ie:
    class a
    class b extends a
    Now when I compile b it says it cannot find class a. Both of these java files are in the same directory. Class a compiles fine on its own but I can't compil b.
    Also, when compiling a with the statement:
    package c
    as the first statement and then trying to run the compiled class in the appletviewer, I get the following error:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: a (wrong name: c/a)
    The Applet window comes up but with applet not initialised.
    Can anyone help with this? I purposely didn't put up the code because I figured it would be unnecessary.
    Thanks
    allan

    Yep, that solved the compiling error. Thanks.
    Any ideas about the applet viewer problem? Or where I can look for an answer?

  • I am trying to install itunes 10.5.1 but it can't find file IXP609.TMP where can i get this

    i am trying to install itunes 10.5.1 but it can't find file IXP609.TMP so stopping the upgrade.   how do i upgrade itunes?  I tried uninstalling but it can't find another file 389 so I can neither uninstall nor reinstall.  Any thoughts please?

    Hi Rick,
    by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.
    Success,
    Peter

  • Afew general questions to which I can't find the answers

    Hi,
    Yesterday, I upgraded from a Torch 9810 to a Passport! What a phone! I still have a lot to read, do and set, but there are a few 'small' things I'd like to ask if I may
    1. As I have a visual impairment, on my Torch I used an app called 'Font Control - Fancy Font Master'. This meant I could choose the font style and size to use for my apps, which was a fantastic help. However, this does not seem to be supported in Blackberry 10 and, despite my searching, I can't find another app that's similar (either in Blackberry World or the Amazon App Store). Any advice on this would be very welcome.
    2. I did try the magnifier function, but it only seems to let you scroll up and down and not side to side, so you can't read a whole line - maybe I have done something wrong with this, but I can't see what.
    I am loving my new phone though - well done Blackberry!
    Any advice would be great.
    Many thanks,
    Etherlass

    Thanks in advance.

  • "Can't find bundle for base name" in a JavaBean called from a JSP

    I have quite a large EAR file which contains an EJB.jar file, a WAR file and various other jars used by the EJB.jar file. I the WAR file has a number of JSPs and now some JavaBeans. The JavaBeans live in their own jar which is deployed in the WEB-INF\lib directory. I am trying to use ResourceBundles for the error messages which are generated in the JavaBeans.
    Here is the problem. I have put the resource bundle properties files in the WEB-INF\classes directory and I can access them just fine from the JSPs. Not so from the JavaBeans, I get the following error:
    "Can't find bundle for base name webui-resources, locale en_US Can't find bundle for base name webui-resources, locale en_US ".
    I have tried just 'jarring' up the properties files into the JavaBeans jar but no dice.
    It 'smell's like a Classloader issue. Any help greatly appreciated.
    Ian.
    p.s. I am using JBoss 2.4.4 with Tomcat 3.2.3 and JDK 1.3.1_09 on XP.

    Here is my suggestion.
    Do you have the property file named "webui-resources_en_US.properties"?
    Here is the example
    language="en"
    country="US"
    locale = new Locale(language, country);
    bundle = ResourceBundle.getBundle("com.<companyname>.webui-resources");
    copy the webui-resources_en_US.properties file to the directory
    com.<companyname> in your workspace/IDE/localdirectory. or ftp that file to classes/com/companyname directory
    This should work. I am using it that way.
    which appserver r u using?

    Hi,
    I've installed Sunone 6.0
    JSP is installed
    JDK is installed
    I've written and compiled a simple javabeans program
    and it generates class correctly.
    When I try to execute I get "Can't find class" error.
    Where does the class need to reside after compiling?

    I upgraded my Iphone to IOS6, but now I can't connect it to itunes (10.6.3) because it is not upgraded. However, when I want to upgraded, it says that my computer (imac Mac OS 10.5.8)  needs to be upgraded to another version. I can't find anything to help me out.

    You need iTunes 10.7 or later.
    To get this, you need Mac OS 10.6.8 or later.

  • A program called "tudosearch" interferes with my Firefox - it always comes up when I try to open Firefox or if Firefox tries to call up another program. I can not find a way to get rid of it.

    When I try to open Firefox, a window comes up saying that Firefox can not run Tudosearch. I then have to exit this window before I can go on. It also comes up when I try to go to another website while in
    Firefox. I can not find the program "Tudosearch" on my computer therefore I can not remove it. Any suggestions?

    I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. I am not crazy about using internet explorer, but right now, it is my only option. I even tried to start in safe mode, and the same message box pops up!
