Thorsten,
<i>And i have no more idea how to publish a bsp page to the internet without having a path in the url.</i>
The short answer is that it will not work. The BSP attempts to mangle the URL, which requires at least one extra segment.
However, other people has asked about this before. What we did was build in a simple hack a long time ago. It will only work if you are using a controller with views. Then set your root node to point directly onto you BSP application. Once the BSP runtime detects such a root situation for a controller, it will stop the mangling.
Important: there are many things tied to the mangling which might fail in this situation. It is not documented, and you should only do it if you know where the journey is going.
One last aspect: the root / URL is necessarily passed to the ABAP stack. There is a profile parameter that controls this. See transaction RZ11, look for root parameter.

  • Using OHS to redirect traffic based on intranet or internet URL

    Hello,
    we have a requirement where we have to launch our application on internet. Application is working fine on local intranet URL or internet URL but not working on both at same time.we have application developed with ADF and other fusion components.
    This is the topology we are using here :-
    SPS(secured proxy server to configure internet URL) --> OHS -> Managed server(1,2,3,4)
    We have to setup a URL redirect rule at OHS level where
    ---> if the incoming traffic is from intranet URL application work based on intranet URL's BUT
    -->if the traffic is coming from internet URL, OHS internally take care of URL redirect and work for external users too..
    Summery is, application should work for both internet and intranet URL, but pls note both the URL are different
    like
    intranet- https:\\abcd.intranet.xxx.com\abs\login
    internet - https:\\abcd.xxx.com\abs\login
    could someone pls help me on this and provide your valuable suggestion on how we can achieve this at OHS level...

    Thanks AMN,
    I was able to successfully get the redirect to work with the following Javascript code.
    In the folder: C:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\default-web-app
    I created the following OBIEE.html file
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
    <html lang="en,us">
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>Test OBIEE Redirect Page<TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var agent = (navigator.userAgent).toLowerCase();
    var weburl = './analytics/';
    var moburl = './analyticsMobile/';
    var reg_exp = /(ipod|iphone|android|opera mini|blackberry|palm os|palm|hiptop|avantgo|plucker|xiino|blazer|elaine|windows ce; ppc;|windows ce; smartphone;|windows ce; iemobile|up.browser|up.link|mmp|symbian|smartphone|midp|wap|vodafone|o2|pocket|kindle|mobile|pda|psp|treo)/;
    if( reg_exp.test(agent) ) {
         window.location = moburl;
    else {
         window.location = weburl;
    </script>
    </BODY></HTML>
    The javascript gets the USER agent and does a regular expression match to see if its any popular handheld device. If so, it redirects them to the mobile address. Otherwise the user is directed to the standard site.
    All I need to do is pass around the URL:
    http://localhost:9704/OBIEE.html
    And users will be dynamically sent to the correct location.
    Thanks!

  • Troubleshoot with Safari Internet URL bar

    This is in regards to the Safari Internet. The link bar at the top of my internet browser is not showing anymore. That is, the bar to type in the URL of a site... www... has disappeared and i can't seem to get it back anymore. I may have clicked something accidentally and now i can't seem to figure out how to get it back again. Can something please help me figure this out. On the View>Customize Toolbar option, the URL bar appears in the toolbar, yet in reality, it really isn't there. Help? Thank you in advance!

    Hello an:
    I think I understand your last post (maybe) as we may be having a terminology problem
    When you open Safari you should have two "bars" - the toolbar and, under that, the bookmark bar.
    As I understand your post, you still do not have an address field in the toolbar. Click on view>customize toolbar. Drag the "go to this address/google" item to the toolbar. After that, you may customize your bookmark bar any way you wish by showing all bookmarks and changing the bookmark bar items.

  • RH5 JavaHelp Remote URL to Web Form

    I was wondering if anyone has encountered this issue.
    In order to get around the JavaHelp limitations with forms, we have been linking via a remote URL to a web form (created in FrontPage) to collect feedback through email. The form is no longer working in JavaHelp. The page loads in the JavaHelp window, but it never goes anywhere. When you click submit, the form resets and nothing is received in email. The form works fine when linked on the web or in WebHelp.
    I've tried a removing the link and reinserting, changing the recipient, the confirmation page, but no luck. Any suggestions? Other than switching to something other than JavaHelp -- 'fraid I've got no control over that decision

    Hi there
    I suppose JavaHelp is incapable of opening just a plain ole Web Page in a new window? That sounds like all you really need to achieve here.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Can Flash Player files contain link to internet URL? please explain

    I hope to hear.

    Yes, Flash Player files are otherwise known as swf files.  Swf files can have actionscript code added to them to link to urls.  IN AS2, the command to link to another web page is getURL().

  • Sharepoint Internet site with NLB via TMG

    I have configured two wfes in NLB, the nlb name is say 'spwebnlb'
    Using this name as 'hostheader' I have created a webapplication, so that I can access
    http://spwebnlb , I am able to achieve this.
    Now the issue is I want this site to be accessed with url
    https://www.companyname.com
    First thing I added this url in AAM of central admin
    I have published the site using TMG
    In IIS i have added binding for SSL (in iis host name is spwebnlb)
    Now I am not able to access the site it give me error as, it is actulally taking me to /pages/variationroot.aspx
    The Web application at https://www.companyname.com could not be found. Verify that you have typed the URL correctly. If the URL should be serving existing content, the system administrator may need to add a new
    request URL mapping to the intended application.

    Hi  Rizzk,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you cannot access  the site after publishing the site via TMG.
    For troubleshooting your   issue,  could you access the site in the Intranet? Please make sure you have extended the web application for internet zone and blinded the internet URL in IIS.
    For more information, you can refer to the Video :

  • How do I force url links to open in Firefox only ?

    I use IE-Favorites not only for internet url shortcuts, but also as a normal folder (which it is actually). I work with Firefox on a Windows PC with plugin "PlainOldFavorites" for the bookmarks.
    On my Mac , I would like the equivalent function (IE folder for bookmarks in Firefox) but the same plugin does not work on Mac. Which plugin would have that functionality ?
    To have access to the same folder (or a synchronized copy of Favorites) ?
    Thank you

    Solution is very simple, Just choose firefox as your default browser.
    Follow these steps :
    * Open '''Options'''
    * Click on '''Advanced'''
    * Now open '''General''' tab and click on '''Make FireFox The Default Browser'''. See Image below.

  • URL Policy Agent/Portal not for gateway

    Consider LDAP (for intranet) and Radius (for intranet).
    We would like to limit the access to certain URL's based upon the authentication scheme.
    To do this we've created a policy:
    URL Polict Agent URL=X and Authentication Radius OK from IP Internet
    URL Polict Agent URL=X and Authentication LDAP OK from IP Intranet
    It seems that the URL policy is not taken into account by the gateway or rewriter proxy for that matter.
    Does this kind of policy only work if i'm accessing a webserver or proxy using the identity plugin?

    The custom authentication module.... Does it determine what type of authentication to present to the user based on IP? E.g. LDAP or SecurID?
    This is confusing me a bit - maybe just the term authentication module..... I'm currently thinking of it as another Service listed under the Authentication leaf of the left-hand-side of IdS AdminUI (Services or Identity Management -> Services). As I understand it - something else in the IdS triggers which module to use, or the module is requested in the URL.
    Thus if the URL doesn't contain the module name, it would seem something in the Organizational auth config or a Policy Condition (Subject IP?) would trigger an authentication type based on source IP.
    Since authnetication chaining causes problems with fall-through rather than executing lock-out, we use the SecurID & DS passcode/password services respectively, not IdS password reset (which we will implement in Lighthouse self-service capabiltity... later)
    The result is either SRA/GW or IdS will need to select the auth module from the Source IP in the packet.
    So you might see my confusion when referencing a custom auth module....

  • Expose an FM or RFC as an http url (invoke FM by opening url in browser)

    Hi,
    We have a function module e.g. Z_PROCESS_ORDERS, it does not have any import parameters, and there are no export parameters. the FM basically performs some action in SAP. e.g inserting a value a ztable.
    is it possible to invoke this FM over the internet url.
    I am not speaking about webservice.
    I am talking about a plain http url. something like: http://sapserver:xxxx/blahblah/Z_PROCESS_ORDERS/xyz/something
    if anyone clicks or opens this url in Internet explorer, the FM should be invoked in sap.
    i searched on sdn, and found that webservice is an option, but to invoke it we need a webservice client or consumer proxy.
    but my end user doesnot have that, and he wants just a IE link (http link) to invoke this function.
    let us know webdynpro abap could serve this purpose.
    thanks in advance,
    Madhu_1980

    the browser window should be closed
    you can use an exit plug in your WDA App and provide a little javascript in the SICF-node of your app, that closes the window
    or should display a message "the FM is invoked, you can close this window"
    Simply use a TextView UIElement on your default view
    Kind regards
    Andreas

  • Address bar URL produces search results vs. going to site.

    There are two identities on my desk top. Until today, both worked the same when a URL was typed into the address bar.....I would go directly to the site. Now on one of the identities, instead of going to the website, it give search results. Some setting was obviously changed and I can't seem to determine how to reset to go directly to website. FF 4.0.1. Thank you. pinger

    Hi-
    I decided to take the path of least resistance to avoid spending any more time than necessary on my "issue." I took FF4 off my computer and reloaded FF3.6.7....with no joy. I STILL am not able to have just a plain, old internet address bar in which if I type an internet URL I am taken directed to that web site....the the website address stays in the bar so I can hyperlink it, send it, copy it, etc. I don't get it.

    Hi,
    Try to simply create an ICF service that would call the required FM.

  • IronPort and Internet

    I have a remote office and setup site to site vpn to HQ using ASA for both location.  All data traffic and internet browser on the VPN link back to HQ.
    Everything is working fine and strange thing happened that there are 2 users can not connect to internet.  If I bypass these 2 users from Ironport
    then their internet are working fine.  The IronPort setup as transparent and wccp configure on the ASA here in HQ.
    If I put those users back on the access list on the ASA for WSA then their internet browser are connecting but no error no webpage display.
    Keep getting waiting for www.yahoo.com like hours glass.  Turn on the access log and saw the connection established without any deny on the log.
    Anyone has any idea?
    Thank you.

    You said only two users has the problem, does that mean other users on same remote subnet through the vpn, also configured for WCCP on the main office ASA and redirected to the WSA is working fine? If other users work fine, are the two users using the same identity configured on the WSA, and going through the same access policy?
    You can also check the access logs on the WSA for the none working user, and the working user to see the difference in logs, if going through the same internet url. Guide for access logs on WSA here http://tinyurl.com/6ekeec
    Otherwise you will need to trace where the packets from the client is being lost going to the internet.
    Packet captures for traffic of the client on ASA and WSA will possibly need to be done to find out.
    Some good info on forum for ASA packet capture her

    I suggest doing it on the interface facing the WSA, and filter on the client ip address.
    Capture on WSA here http://tinyurl.com/g4qxy

  • Test Controller hangs while connecting to TFS URL

    Hi All,
    When I open Test Controller Configuration tool window it hangs for some time and says that , it cannot connect to my TFS
    Internet URL(in logs), after some time it throws "time out" exception.
    I need to manually add the TFS Intranet  URL and again it hangs .
    Option Tried : Deleted TFS Cache from %AppDATA%\Microsoft...\Cache
    Unfortunately , It again hangs everytime when I open Test Controller Configuration Tool window, tried adding equi Trace to 4 Verbose in QTController.exe.config file to analyze the logs, ended up knowing the same error -
    Not able to connect to TFS Internet URL,  could you please let me know how to change the TFS URL for Test Controller ?
    And why this is happening ?
    Thanks,
    Abraham Dhanyaraj

    Hi Abraham,
    Thanks for your reply.
    From your reply, to check if this issue is related to this Test controller setup file, please you try to install the same test controller on other machine and then try to configure the controller with TFS and then check this issue again.
    (1) If you still did not get same issue, I suggest you could try to the following suggestion to check this issue.
    (1.1) if you installed some third-party tools on your test controller machine, please disable or un-install them and then check this issue again.
    (1.2) I suggest you’d better close some processes on the Task Manager such as the
    Anti-virus software or the firewall
    on your test
    controller machine check your issue.
    (1.3)
    If you run your test controller machine with a long time, maybe restart your machine would be better.
    (1.4) If the above suggestion still could not help you, please you try to un-install the test controller on your machine and then re-install it check this issue again.
    (2) If you still get the some issue, I assume that the issue is related to this setup file, so please try to download this Test controller setup file and then install it check this issue again.
